I didn't have high expectations, but it turned out to be surprisingly good. I was able to relax in a laid-back atmosphere. Since it wasn't a hotel that offered shuttle service, I had to make my own way to the boarding area, but it was actually more convenient to move around by rental car afterward. If you're going to the boarding area on your own, you might as well buy the tickets there, but having the tickets purchased in advance gives you peace of mind.

It was fun to see the Napali Coast for less than a helicopter tour! The staff from the tour company were very friendly. However, if your goal is to get close to the waterfalls like you would in a helicopter, I wouldn't recommend this. It gives you more of an overview from above.

This was a great time! Enjoyed the show, the garden, the food & the river tour. Learning more about the authenic cultures of the area sure was fun. THanks for everything!! One thing to note is that there were terrible mosquitos. Wear some bug spray!! :)

Hidden Valleys of Kauai Waterfall Swim, Kayak & Hike Adventure

Fun but there was no waterfall swim!

I really enjoyed the kayaking part of it down the river. Our tour guide was really friendly and good at describing the history of certain things around the river. However, my husband and I were really looking forward to swimming at the waterfall, but the waterfall wasn't any high one. It was a really small waterfall, almost like a grotto. We couldn't swim anywhere at all, and really wanted to swim, hoping the river leads to a stream or a high 100ft waterfall...

They took pictures as you came into the grounds, I wish they had taken a few minutes to be sure everyone was in the picture and could be seen. The grounds are very pretty and well maintained, it was fun to ride thru the gardens and get info about the trees and flowers. The sitting was good, lots of people, lines at food tables went fast and plenty of food. Drinks were plentiful, service was good, very friendly family. Then when the bar/drink area closed, we were all sent to the luau dance area. It was very warm, with the smell of the gasoline/fuel for the fire dance. The dancers were ok, the whole luau was too long, I felt that several of the dances were very slow and long. The whole dance part could have been cut in half. The fire dancer was really good, as were the stick dancers.

We went to a place that felt like something out of a Jurassic Park movie, riding in a jeep through the jungle. After the staff's explanation and some practice, we did seven zip lines. At first, I was nervous, but once I took the plunge, it was truly fun. The thrill of racing down while enjoying the scenery was the best!

Wonderful tour guide, knowledgable and hilarious. The workout was respectable, but offered great sights along the way that kept us interested, and an interesting hike through the Hawaiian woods. At the end the jump off a cliff into the river was tons of fun. I would definitely recommend this trip; a good mix of fun, beautiful sights, and physical exertion.

This trip was one of our best yet! We have done several activities in Kauai and this one will be hard to beat. Jessie was our travel guide and he was wonderful. He was full of information about the island, he was easy to talk to and it's easy to see he loves what he does. We are a family of four with two teenage sons and all four of us enjoyed the entire day; that is not always an easy accomplishment! The kayaking was very fun, Hanalei Bay was amazing and the snorkel location was just beautiful. Our lunch on the beach was great and It was one of those memories that will last a life time. Jessie was very professional and made us feel very comfortable every step of the way. I would recommend this adventure to anyone!

The Smith Family Laua will not disappoint! I've seen five Lauas and this was far superior to all others! Food and the show was amazing! The grounds of the facility were very beautiful and the tram ride showed all the land had to offer! Many photo opportunities! The Fern Gratto was beautiful and the musicians were great! Very pretty!

Conflicted ~ Good/Not So Good

We had 3 athletic families attend this trip with adults and teens. The kayaking was BEAUTIFUL on the way 'in' to the hike (current and wind assisting). The hike itself was a bust and we all like to hike. Our guide left us to our own devices for most of this trip and was of little guidance. Even wading through the water to the hike our guide took us the more difficult route. We know this because on our return to the kayaks a couple of us followed a different guides route across the river which was so much simpler and safer! The hike was muddy and slippery despite having good water/hiking shoes. We had adults/kids fall many times and one significant injury. Others had already slipped in this location yet our guide offered no help or alternative. In early July, unfortunately the waterfall yielded little water. The hike not worth the end result. We did enjoy the 'work out' aspect of the kayak trip back. It was beautiful but challenging going against the current if you aren't a regular kayaker.

At a minimum: I'd rate this a moderate adventure and challenging for individuals who aren't regularly very active.

We had a great time on this trip and I would recommend it. It is definitely a unique experience and something we'll probably never be able to do elsewhere. Kaleigh and Aaron were our guides and they were great!!!

The only thing I'd change is giving customers an option to be on a tour that includes lunch/picnic or a tour that just does the tubing. We would have preferred heading back to the beach versus the lunch/picnic time. Maybe different times can offer different options throughout the day.

As a group of 8 ladies we were not really sure what we would be getting ourselves into when we booked this tour, but from the moment we arrived we were sure that this would be a fun but safe adventure. The organisation and the safety talks all reassured us that these people know what they are doing.. We all had a ball and lots of laughs and all come away saying what a great time we had. Thanks to all the staff and guides for making our day memorable

Need different size tubes!!

This was an amazing adventure. My only complaint is they need at least 2 different size adult tubes. They have 1 adult size and 1 childrens size(which is to small for even the smallest adult). My butt kept falling through the hole, I'm 5'1'' and 145lbs. The guides agreed with me as well, that people who are shorter than 5'4'' have a really hard time sitting up and staying up in the tube. It's there number one complaint. By the time it was over, my back was cramped up and so stiff, I could barely get off the tube and I'm an avid kayaker. Besides that, this was one of my favorite tours to do. My 12 year old son had so much fun. Going through the dark tunnels were amazing and our guides kept us informed throughout the whole trip. A truly unique and unforgettable experience.
