The day started off well as a greeter showed us where to park. A quick walk to the boat where we filled out the waivers and were able to see the sun come up behind the island in the distance. We formed a line to board (very organized) and took a boarding picture.

Unfortunately the weather at Molokini was not favorable, so we went to two alternate stops. At the first we were able to see four sea turtles! (along with the associated tropical fish cleaning them). The second stop was closer to the rocks which was pretty awesome to watch the waves crash and the reef was much shallower. A few different fish were there as well.

There was a slide for the children and the adventurous adults. Lunch was served after the first stop. Hamburger, hot dog or chicken and some side items.

Throughout the day Ryan (the videographer) took excellent underwater shots and generally just had a very pleasing demeanor. He seemed to really love his job (who wouldn't, right?)

After the second stop the bar service opened and there were crew members walking around offering refills. Talk about service! As we rounded back to the harbor the wind and waves picked up but the captain still kept the boat stable.

It was a very enjoyable snorkeling experience and I would highly recommend it.

We were picked up in front of the hotel at 6 AM and headed to the port. I was relieved to see that the boat could accommodate over 100 people and had a restroom. Twenty years ago, I participated with my mother and my two elementary school-aged children, but we were all a bit sleep-deprived and ended up getting seasick, lying down on the boat while missing the beautiful sea and fish. My son tried hard to float in the water but eventually got sick, and because we were in a spot where we shouldn't feed the fish, they gathered around, much to the delight of those who didn't know what was happening. I apologize for that.

This time, I participated again for a bit of revenge (my husband is 64, and I am 59). My husband, who was visiting Hawaii for the first time, was reluctantly on board, but on the way to Molokini Island, he became cheerful after encountering a pod of wild dolphins, thanks to our only Japanese guide, Takako. Just as she said, "They will come to play with you," the dolphins frolicked around our boat as if leading us. I was so captivated by their cuteness that I forgot to take pictures (what a shame). When we arrived at the island, my husband, feeling good from the unexpected dolphin encounter, put on a life jacket and jumped into the sea from the boat. It was so calm that even cute foreign children were jumping into the water one after another. This time, with explanations in Japanese, I was able to snorkel well, and we spent a very happy time floating in the calm sea protected by the blue sky and the crescent-shaped island. The hamburgers for lunch were delicious, with freshly grilled patties, chicken, and sausages.

Next, we went to a point where we could see sea turtles, which hadn't been available before. Again, Takako carefully spotted them, and we were lucky to take pictures of the sea turtles. We were able to return to our childhood for a while and enjoy ourselves. This trip to Maui was a celebration of my husband's retirement, and I was really glad he enjoyed it. If there’s another opportunity, I would appreciate it. Please say hello to Takako for me.

早朝6時にホテル前に出向かえてもらい港へ。100人以上乗船できるしトイレ付で安心しました。20年前に私,母,小学生の子供2人で参加したものの、寝不足気味だったので全員船酔いしてしまい、綺麗な海や魚たちを横目に早々、船上で横たわっていました。でも息子は頑張って海に浮かんでいましたが、とうとう吐いてしまい餌をやってはいけない場所のせいか魚たちが沢山集まってきて、ことの次第を知らない人達は大喜びでした。ゴメンナサイ。
今回はそのリベンジもあって年甲斐もなく（夫64歳、私59歳）参加しました。初ハワイの主人は渋々の参加でしたがモロキニ島へ向かう途中、唯一の日本人ガイドのタカコさんに教えてもらい野生のイルカの群れに出会うとご機嫌になりました。「こちらに遊びに来ますよ」の言葉通り私たちの船を先導するかのように戯れてきました。あまりのかわいらしさにカメラで撮ることも忘れてしまいました。（残念）島に着くとイルカとの偶然の遭遇に気を良くした夫は浮きジャケットを着けて船から海中へ。本当に穏やかなので、かわいい外国の子供たちも次々にジャンプして海へ。今回は日本語の説明でシュノーケルも上手くできたし、青い空、三ヶ月型の島に守られた静かな海に浮かんでいる私達はとても幸せな時間を過ごせました。昼食のハンバーガーも焼きたてのハンバーグ、チキン、ソーセージ、どれも美味しかった。
今度は以前はなかった海亀のポイントへ。またまた、タカコさんが注意深く見つけてくれて海亀の写真を撮ることができてラッキーでした。私達は久しぶりに童心に返り、楽しむことができました。退職のお祝いのマウイ旅行でしたが主人に喜んでもらえて本当に良かったです。またの機会がありましたら、よろしくお願いします。タカコさんによろしく。

This was a great snorkel cruise. The crew was outstanding. The Pride of Maui boat was very clean and comfortable. The food service was great. It was served in a very professional way and very appetizing. There was more than enough food to eat and drinks to drink. The alcoholic drinks when snorkeling was over were in abundance. I have been on some snorkeling cruises where you get only ONE complimentary drink. The staff members did everything in their power to make our snorkel cruise enjoyable, safe, and accommodating. In fact there was a new girl (don't know her name) it was her first day on the job and she did everything she could to please the patrons and other crew members. I definitely recommend this cruise to everyone.

All of the staff members on this Molokini Snorkel Delux Cruise from Maalaea Harbor worked very hard constantly to make sure we were having a great time. The boat was very clean, the food service was outstanding -- presented in a professional and appetizing manner. I would greatly recommend taking this cruise. There was no time wasted when anchoring for the snorkel tour. The crew knew exactly where to find the anchor (this was not the case in some of our past cruises in different islands. Don't know the name of the new girl on the crew (it was her first day) she was very beautiful, polite and cheery and did everything she could to please the other crew members and all the guests. There was enough food and drinks for everyone and access off and on the boat to go snorkeling was very easy compared to past snorkeling experiences that I have had.

We were very anxious before joining the tour since we couldn't speak English, but the Japanese instructor explained everything in Japanese, which made us feel at ease. We are truly grateful for the attention they gave us from start to finish.

As for the tour, the water clarity around Molokini Island was incredibly high, and we were able to see many colorful fish, making it an emotional experience that you can't have in Japan. We even caught a glimpse of a whale breaching for a moment. After that, we moved to a spot where we could see sea turtles, and during that time, we enjoyed delicious hamburgers for lunch. They were really tasty! They grilled the meat right in front of us, and we could customize our burgers with vegetables and sauces. The freshly grilled meat was juicy and delicious, and I was very satisfied. I'm not a big eater, but I ended up going for seconds (laughs).

Finally, regarding the sea turtles, the instructor swam with us to help find them, and when we spotted a sea turtle, it was very moving. The sea turtles were so cute. It was a tour where we could swim with sea turtles and enjoy a delicious meal, leaving us very satisfied. On the way back, we had unlimited Maui beer, and drinking beer on the boat was exceptional. When I visit Maui again, I definitely plan to join this tour once more!

英語が話せない私たちは、ツアー参加前はとても不安でしたが、日本人インストラクターの方が日本人向けに説明をしてくれて安心してツアーに参加できました。最初から最後まで私たちのことに気を配ってくださり本当に感謝しています。ツアーですが、モロキニ島では、水の透明度が本当に高く、色鮮やかな魚もたくさん見ることができ、日本では絶対体験できない感動的な海でした。また、一瞬ですがクジラが飛び跳ねているのも見ることができました。そのあと、ウミガメの泳いでいるポイントに移動するのですが、その間に昼食のハンバーガーを食べました。これが本当に美味しかったです。目の前で肉を焼いてくれてバンズに野菜とソースを自分の好みでのせて食べるのですが、お肉が焼き立てでジューシーで美味しく大満足でした。大食いではないのですが、おかわりしてしまいました（笑）最後にウミガメですが、インストラクターの方が一緒にウミガメを探して泳いでくれ、ウミガメを見つけたときはとても感動しました。ウミガメはとても可愛かったです。ウミガメと一緒に泳ぐことができ、美味しい食事も食べれて大満足のツアーでした。帰りにはマウイのビールも飲み放題で船上で飲むビールは格別でした。マウイ島に行った際は、また参加しようと思います！！

Worth every penny! A "must do" in Maui

What a wonderful adventure! We loved this 1/2 day snorkel trip to Molokini and "Turtle Town". It took nearly 4 days to convince my husband that we should go on an organized snorkel trip. I was tired of looking for great places to snorkel and knew the cruise would provide what we were looking for. Thanks to the wonderful crew, it was one of our most memorable days in Maui. Our boat captain was fantastic and the staff did a great job explaining the days events. Everything was well organized, timely and relaxing. We can't say enough great things about the delicious meals, cold drinks(alcoholic and non-alcoholic), breathtaking views, fish and turtles! As luck would have it, we even got to see a few whales. We enjoyed the experience and look forward to doing it again. Aloha!

I was very impressed with our snorkel cruise. The food was delicious and the staff was very nice. Unfortunately, the water at Molokini was rough - so they substituted Coral Gardens instead. Turtle Town was great - saw several turtles. I liked how they posted someone over the area where best to see them - so you knew where to go. Coral Gardens was good as well. They offered wet shirts onboard for $10, which is nice if you get cold easily. They also offer Snuba for $58 - you get to do that for about 30 minutes. Best to reserve ahead as they only offer a limited number. I felt they really work hard to give you a great experience - while keeping safety in mind.

It was amazing. My wife and me went for snorkling for the first time and we don't know swimming. But still we enjoyed alot. The people in boat are so friendly and very helpful for us. They provided us breakfast, lunch and alcohol. All are good in taste. In between they are coming to us and asking for cookies like that. I need a prescription glasses of -5 they have provided that snorkel also. We felt really good at the snorkel place too. And main think i booked through Veltra.com, these people are really amazing, they are calling me before 1 day and making sure that i have this activity and letting me know where i have to check in and all details. I really liked this website. Even i have a time problem some how they are managing and scheduling to other day and finally making that activity happening. Really good website for activities booking and had fun in Snorkel too...

Snorkeling adventure with 3 kids *FUN*

We are a family of five with 3 kids under 4.Call us brave or crazy,we wanted try snorkeling for the first time.All we have end of the day is a wonderful memory of our first snorkeling adventure.With a 4 year old on a wheel chair, we couldn't have asked for more.The crew was just fabulous.They also had super cool floating boards for kids which has a transparent area for viewing.kids could float with adults and they too can enjoy the ocean wonders. My 4 year olds were quite thrilled seeing the corals and turtles.I would call it a success adventure when every one in the family including the toddler had their own share of ocean fun and adventure.We had just enough time to snorkel on both the locations despite 3 kids and adults taking turns.Here again,it was the crew which made everything possible for us.If you wanna try snorkeling with small kiddos, my hands raise for this one!

We participated on November 7th. My husband and I can hardly speak English, so we joined this tour because there was a Japanese guide. When we arrived at the port after requesting a pick-up, we found that we were the only Japanese participants, which made us quite anxious. To be honest, I was very mentally stressed and constantly nervous. However, on the boat, a woman provided us with guidance in Japanese and paid attention to us, which was a great help. She gave us a proper explanation of snorkeling and offered advice, and we were able to see sea turtles. The waters of Maui are truly beautiful, and the fish and coral reefs were so vibrant that they left a lasting impression. It had been 20 years since I last swam in the ocean, but my worries disappeared, and I was extremely satisfied. Unlike Honolulu, Maui may have fewer Japanese visitors, but if you have the chance to go, I definitely recommend participating. The waters of Maui are truly wonderful. If I have the opportunity to go to Maui again, I would love to participate once more. Thank you for the valuable experience and memories.

My wife and I had such a great time on this little cruise out to the Molokini crater. The crew onboard the Pride of Maui was outstanding and I was very impressed with their professionalism, enthusiasm and dedication to making all of the guests feel very welcome and comfortable with the activities on the slate. At no time did they ever shortcut the safety and well-being of anyone on the tour. I have snorkeled in a few other ideal locations around the world and this one definitely tops the list. The aquatic arena at the Molokini crater and at turtle town was amazing and we really enjoyed our experience. Many thanks to the crew and the terrific job they did.

Great Snorkeling Trip

This trip is a morning trip to Molokini and then Turtle town close to west Maui. The price is quite reasonable since it includes Cruise, continental breakfast, burger lunch, drinks with alcohol or non-alcohol, and snorkeling gears. It has snorkeling noodles and boards for those who are not good at swimming. They also have lifeguard, so pretty safe for this trip. The total snorkeling time is two hours: one hour for Molokini, and one hour for Turtle town.

Molokini is wonderful, many colorful fishes and coral reefs there. It’s the crater of a hidden volcano, of course extinct volcano.

The next stop is Turtle town, which locates close to west Maui. It’s hundreds meters off the shore. We see several turtles under the water. We followed a turtle and enjoyed swimming with it.

By the way, the scene from the cruise is fantastic. We have a broad overlook of Maui island and the valley in west Maui.

fulfilled our expectations

We have been on similar tours before so had some idea of what to expect. The boat was a little tricky to find (to the left of the main harbor entrance).
The crew were excellent, very professional, friendly and organised. They had a lifeguard in the water for the snorkeling, which makes this a great choice for families.
The snorkeling spots were very busy but we saw lots of great fish at Molokini, and we saw 4 turtles at turtle town.
The food was very simple, but they have a lot of people to feed so it needs to be.

We participated as a couple. Thanks to the care of the Japanese staff member Miho, we had no trouble at all in Maui, where we hardly speak Japanese. The other staff members primarily spoke English, but they were very friendly and considerate, making a genuine effort to ensure we had a good time, which was quite impressive.

On the day of our participation, we were blessed with clear skies, and both snorkeling and snuba at Molokini Island had excellent visibility. I highly recommend snuba, especially for those who have no issues with equalizing while diving.

However, regarding the next point for sea turtle observation, it can be canceled if visibility is insufficient due to weather conditions up to the day before (as mentioned in the description). Unfortunately, we had to miss that part, and we ended up snorkeling at almost the same spot as before.

There were two other groups of Japanese guests besides us, but as expected, we didn't interact much with them. Instead, we became quite friendly with the foreign guests, who were very approachable.

In summary, it was a very enjoyable experience, and above all, the cheeseburger for lunch was exquisite.

日本語スタッフのみほさんのケアもあって、日本語のほぼ使えないマウイでも当日困るようなことはまったくないでしょう。
基本みほさん以外のスタッフさんは英語オンリーですが、非常に気さくで、こちらを気遣ってくれますし（仕事なので当然かもしれませんが）こちらを楽しませようと努力してくれているのはかなりの好感が持てます。

参加当日は晴天に恵まれ、モロキニ島でのシュノーケル、スヌーバ共に最高の透明度でした。
とくにスヌーバは潜水時の耳抜きが問題ない方には是非にもとおススメするくらいです。

ただ、モロキニ島の次のポイント（海亀観察ができるらしい）については、前日までの天候次第で透明度が足りなかったりすると中止です。（説明文にもある）
私たちもそちらは残念ながら中止になってしまい、最初とほぼ同じポイントでのシュノーケルタイムになりました。

私たち以外の日本人客はほかに2組ありましたが、当然といえば当然か、そのかたがたとはあまり絡みませんでした。むしろ外国人の方々が非常に気さくで、そちらと仲良くなったくらいです。

総括としては、非常に楽しい思い出になりましたし、なによりお昼のチーズバーガーは絶品です。

The 6:30 AM pickup was a bit sleepy, but once I got on the boat, I woke up. Last year, when I went snorkeling on the Big Island (Captain Cook), the water wasn't very clear and the fish weren't that great, so I didn't have high expectations this year. However, at Molokini, the water was quite clear and there were plenty of fish. There were several types of fish like pipefish and butterflyfish, so I was satisfied.

After about an hour, we headed to the next sea turtle point. I was worried that the water wouldn't be very clear and that I might not see any turtles, but fortunately, I was one of the first to get into the water and quickly encountered one. Since there weren't many people yet, I was able to enjoy watching it swim leisurely. I swam here for nearly an hour, but compared to Molokini, there were fewer fish, and the main attraction was definitely the sea turtles. Just when I thought it was almost over, the guide told us there was a turtle a little further away, so I hurried over and was able to see the second one.

I realized how glad I was to join the tour since I wouldn't have known the spots on my own. On the way back, I relaxed on the boat while enjoying beer and cocktails while watching the video the crew had taken.

１時間ほどして、次のウミガメポイントへ。水はあまりきれいでなかったので、ウミガメが見れるかどうか心配だったのですが、ほぼ一番乗りで海に入ったのが幸いで、すぐに１頭に遭遇しました。まだ、あまり人がいなかったので、ゆったり泳いでいる姿を堪能できました。ここでも１時間近く泳いでいましたが、モロキニに比べ魚も少なく、やっぱり目当てはウミガメ。そろそろ終わりかという時に、少し離れたところにカメがいるとガイドの人が教えてくれたので、全速力でそちらに向かい２頭目を見ることができました。
自分ではポイントなどわからないし、ツアーに参加してよかったと思った瞬間でした。帰りの船中では、クルーが撮ったビデオを見ながらビールやカクテルを飲んでゆったりできました。

My husband and I took the snorkeling trip on the Trilogy V out to Molokini Crater. What an amazing adventure! The crew was so wonderful and went out of their way to take care of their guests. The food was delicious! The crew served fresh baked cinnamon rolls and fruit for breakfast, a huge lunch, and an ice cream sundae for dessert, as well as unlimited beverages. The trip out and back from the crater was so much fun! The snorkeling was top notch! After snorkeling at the crater, we also snorkeled at Turtle Town where we saw beautiful sea turtles in their natural environment. There is nothing more amazing! I would highly recommend this trip and we cannot wait to sail with this crew again. Thank you for the amazing memories!

My son, and his 19yr old son, attended this. It was well organized but the wind was up and they couldn't snorkel at their desired location. An alternative site was found, the water was much calmer and snorkeling was ok.

I was amazed by the beauty of the sea around Molokini Island and the many fish! I even encountered a sea turtle right next to me; it was a fun experience!

the captain gave us an outstanding sailing adventure. the snorkeling at Molokini was only so-so. that was not something he could control. the turtle place he took us to was outstanding. the crew was very helpful and respectful. they served a great meal, and snacks too.

Absolutely amazing! A must do activity while in Maui!

Beautiful, magnificent, spectacular, and extraordinary. Just a few words that come to mind when talking about my experience with this activity. I knew that while I was on Maui, that I wanted to go scuba diving. Unfortunately, you have to be certified to go scuba diving. So, I did the next best thing. I went on a snorkel/snuba diving adventure. Not only was the experience breathe taking, but the instructors, captain, film crew, and the rest of the staff was so courteous and knowledgeable. Any questions, comments, or concerns you have they are more than willing to go above and beyond your expectations to make you feel comfortable. Well worth every penny I spent on this activity. Anyone who is thinking about going snorkeling, should check out this company. They have amazing customer service which is hard to find. The snuba adventure is unlike anything I've ever tried. You get the opportunity to swim up close and personal with all kinds of sea life. Highly recommend spending the extra money to go snuba diving.

I participated on March 9th. The day before, I went whale watching from Lahaina, and we were able to see whales on the way to the snorkeling point. The captain slows down the boat when he spots a whale, which makes everyone very happy.

On the day of the event, there were about 40 participants, and among them, only five were Japanese, including us. Our guide, Takako (who shares the same name as my wife), took great care of us.

As for snorkeling, the visibility and the number/types of fish were somewhat lacking... But since we could see whales during this season, it was still worthwhile. We also spotted three turtles. If you're just looking for turtles, the rocky area behind the power plant at Kahului Harbor is a sea turtle point. There are about 20 floating around. However, unlike Laniakea in Oahu, there are no sandy beaches here, so you won't see them basking on the shore.

３/９に参加しました。前日はラハイナからのホエールウォッチングに行ったのですが、シュノーケリングポイントへの道中クジラを見ることができます。
キャプテンもクジラを見つけるとボートのスピードを落としてくれるのでみんな大喜び。
当日は４０人ほどの参加者で日本人は我々含め５名、ガイドのタカコさん（女房と同名）がいろいろ世話を焼いてくれます。
純然にシュノーケルとしては透明度・魚の数/種類などイマイチの感が・・・
でもこの時期はクジラを見ることが出来るので良しでしょう。
カメもチラチラっと３匹見ることが出来ました。
カメだけでしたら、カフルイ港の発電所裏岩場がシータートルポイントです。
２０匹位浮かんでます。ただオアフのラニアケアと違って砂浜ではないので甲羅干しは見ることが出来ませんが。

I was able to cruise for a very long time.

I did whale watching, snorkeling, and sailing for lunch—all of it.

I think being out at sea longer than any other boat in the harbor shows the quality of service.

I will definitely use this again when I come to Maui.

The best molokini experience

Molokini is one of the best spot for snorkel/snuba the water is way more clear then the beaches, tons of exotic fish for you to swim with and this group of guys are the best. Delicious food, ice cold drinks and everyone are very friendly, the best customer service I have encountered. With the captain's guidance we were able to spot lots of whales and sea turtles as well. If you decide to go to molokini make sure you go with these guys, you will not regret it.
