The tour was a small group of four people, my wife and I along with another Japanese couple, and our guide. It was my first experience riding a horse, and at first, I was scared and anxious until I got used to it. But after about 30 minutes, it became fun, and the horse was so well-behaved that I felt safe riding! The magnificent views of Kualoa and the ocean were breathtaking, and the breeze was pleasant. I highly recommend it over a bus tour!!! The only downside was that, since there were only Japanese people, there was no announcement about this area being a filming location for Jurassic Park... I wish there had been some explanation in English...

私達夫婦ともう1組の日本人夫婦の4人とガイドさんの少人数でのツアーでした。
乗馬初体験で最初は怖くて、慣れるまで不安でしたが30分も経つと楽しくなって、馬もお利口なので安心して乗れました！
クアロアの壮大な絶景と海が見えて
風が心地よいし、バスツアーよりもオススメです！！！
残念だった点は、日本人しかいないせいか
このエリアがジュラシックパークの撮影地だったとかそういったアナウンスが一切なかったことです…
英語で良いから説明が欲しかった…

So good, I want to return to try out other experiences! Everything was great. I'm not normally a picture taker, but I took dozens this day. Lunch was awesome too.

I was able to experience the great outdoors on horseback. It was an environment that cannot be enjoyed in Japan. The horses were calm and safe. However, one downside was that the instructions were only in English, so I couldn't understand most of the explanations, which was a bit disappointing.

大自然を馬にのって感じることができました。
日本では味わえない環境でした。
馬もおとなしくて安全でした。
ただ、一つ、英語のみの案内なので、説明はほとんど分からなかったのがさみしかったです。

We spent the morning ATV riding. The guide was informative and made sure we had time on the trail to ask questions at our designated stops. What beautiful views and what a beautiful property. Certainly well taken care of and great example of sustainablility and steward of the land.

I felt a bit guilty about riding the horse itself, but I was able to experience a very precious time!

Our guides, Meeks, Val and Jordie were all charismatic and fun while making sure we were safe. We did a total of 7 zip lines, each a little longer than the last with some cool activities in between. And we loved every second of it! You also get a nice ride to base camp and a chance to see some of the landmarks throughout Kualoa Ranch. I would definitely recommend!!

It was an amazing experience for me and my kid.
Everything ran smoothly -- from the hotel pick up to the drop off.
The orientation was a good way to detail important instructions.
The Kualoa Ranch is so breathtaking that even down times were utilized to just explore.
The tour guide was hilarious, entertaining, and informative. Also helpful whenever we needed photo ops.

It's been a few years since I visited Kualoa.
I participated in different activities each time.

The staff's guidance was excellent.
We were also blessed with good weather.
They took photos and videos at key moments,
which made for a great experience.

It was a fabulous experience, visiting this landscape scenery was fantastic.
We were fortunate not to have rain, while on our expedition, however clouds in the background of this majestic mountainous views made it more incredible to look at.
I liked seeing the cattle alond the landscape, I expected a huge dinosaur come out of the lush vegetation and help itself to a tasty meal.
We had a great tour guide, we truly enjoyed her narrative description and related stories about the Ranch, plus her recomendation for after hours food locations on our way back to civilization.
It wasn't Debbie. 11-3-22 started at 12:20 PM.

I think horseback riding and buggies are great, but if you want to enjoy the scenery at a leisurely pace, this tour is perfect. You can fully enjoy the movie filming locations, the agricultural and fishery conditions, and the wonderful views of Kualoa. However, since it was an English-guided tour, I think it would have been even more enjoyable if I understood English better.

乗馬やバギーも良いと思うが、ゆっくり景色と楽しむなら、このツアー。映画ロケ地を堪能、農林水産の状況、クアロアの素晴らしい景色を存分に堪能できた。ただ、英語ガイドだったので、英語が分かればもっと楽しかったと思います。

I had an English instructor, but since the videos on how to ride were in Japanese, I was able to understand everything properly.

I thoroughly enjoyed riding a smart horse in the magnificent nature of Kualoa Ranch for a full two hours!

英語のインストラクターでしたが、乗馬の仕方などは日本語の動画が流れましたので、きちんと理解出来ました。

2時間たっぷりとクアロアランチの雄大な自然の中を、お利口なお馬さんに乗って堪能出来ました！

The buggy activity was very satisfying! However, since it's an activity that requires a long time on the buggy, the time from arrival to participation and the time from the end until the return bus was a bit tight. There were other activities like horseback riding, but we didn't have time to eat lunch. We quickly looked at souvenirs, waited in a long line at the register, rushed to the restroom, and then headed back. The plan started at 12:15, but the morning gathering was at 10:15. Since we came to the resort, we chose a time that allowed us to relax in the morning. However, even though there were many places to explore, we had no time to wander around...

We got off the return bus around 5 PM. It takes an hour each way, so I wish the plan had a bit more flexibility or that we could choose the return bus time. It felt like a waste.

As for the driving, the staff told us to get closer quite a bit. We went on roads that a regular car could never handle. It was thrilling and fun to drive over bumps that felt like we might flip over if we turned the steering wheel the wrong way, and to navigate through muddy areas with uneven surfaces. However, there were also blind curves, and if the car in front had trouble, we could end up in a collision, or even if we managed to stop, someone could crash into us from behind! We were told to get that close, which was a bit nerve-wracking.

On top of that, even though it was a four-wheel drive buggy, it was set to two-wheel drive... The car in front was slipping on a gravel incline, with its rear wheels spinning for about three seconds. I was also drifting like in a rally. However, we were repeatedly warned that any damage to the vehicle would be the driver's responsibility, and if they deemed our driving dangerous or if we couldn't follow instructions, the staff would take over driving. So, if you try to maintain a safe distance, you might be told to switch drivers.

I think this should be communicated to the local staff rather than being treated like a tour. Also, we weren't taken to the Jurassic Park gate and the tree shown in the photos... Maybe it's under construction, or there are several courses, but it was disappointing.

バギーのアクティビティは大満足！
ですが、なかなか長時間バギーに乗れるアクティビティなので、
着いてから参加までと、終わってから帰りのバスまでの時間がややタイト。
乗馬とか他にも色々あったのに…
お昼を食べたりする時間はなく、ガーっとお土産見て、長時間並ぶレジを待ち、急いでトイレに寄って帰り、でした。
12:15スタートのプランだったのもありますが、朝の集合が10:15。
せっかくリゾートに来たので朝ゆっくりするとちょうど良い時間を選びました。
しかしながらお昼食べたり、色々ある場所なのに散策する時間もないとは…
帰りのバスを降りたのは17時頃。
片道1時間かかるのに、もうちょっと余裕を持ったプランか、帰りのバスの時間を選べるようにしてほしいなと思いました。なんかもったいない。
また、運転ですが、結構前に詰めろとスタッフに言われました。
普通車では到底走れないような道を行きます。
腹を擦りながら走るハンドル反対に切ったらひっくり返るんじゃないかというような起伏や、
左右の段差があるドロドロのぬかるみを走るのはとてもスリリングで楽しいのですが、
見通しの悪いカーブもあり、前の車がトラブったら追突したり、自分が止まれても後ろから突っ込まれるでしょ！？
という間隔まで詰めろと言われます笑
おまけに四駆のバギーなのに、設定されているのは二駆…
前の車も砂利の急こうばいで滑って後輪が3秒間くらい空転。
自分もドリフトラリー走行していました。
でも、車体へのダメージはドライバーの責任になるという注意事項を散々言われますし、
言われた通りできなかったり危険な運転だと判断したらスタッフが運転を変わると言われます。
なので、しっかり車間距離取ろうとすると、運転変われと言われるかもしれません。
ツアーというより、現地スタッフにこのこと伝えてほしいですね汗
あと、写真にあったジュラシックパークのゲートと木のところは連れて行ってもらえませんでした…
工事中とか、何コースかあるのかもですが。

This was a great tour and wonderful opportunity for photos! My boyfriend and I went to this tour and it's a good enough time for the price. You get to see various places where iconic scenes were filmed from Jurassic park and Godzilla. The scenery alone is enough to make me want to go back and take it all in. Good for couples and families while on vacation.

It felt like being inside a Jurassic movie!
The experience of racing through the magnificent nature in a buggy is unique to Kualoa Ranch.
Goggles and neck masks were also provided to avoid dust.

バギーで壮大な自然を駆け巡る体験は、クアロアランチならではだと思います。
砂埃を避けるために、ゴーグルとネックマスクも配布されました。

I had an amazing time.
My first experience with an electric mountain bike was really scary, but once I got used to it, I was able to zoom through the stunning mountain and sea views at incredible speeds—it felt fantastic! I think it's more suited for younger people; it might be tough for those in their 50s. Also, with just basic conversational English skills, I often struggled to understand the explanations for setting up the electric bike. But basically, there are four modes, and it was a simple operation of just changing the mode for uphill and downhill.

It was a beginner course, but the foreign participants had long legs and were pedaling at quite a fast speed, so I was doing my best to keep up. The instructor, Fallen, was amazing—funny, cute, and kind, and I became a fan of hers. If I go to Hawaii again, I definitely want to do this again. However, I think 20,000 yen without transportation is a bit high, so I hope they can work on that.

めちゃくちゃ楽しかった。
初の電動マウンテンバイクはめちゃくちゃ怖かったけど慣れたら圧巻の山海の間を爆速できて最高に気持ちいい！！年齢的に若い人向けだと思う。50代は厳しいかな…あと日常英会話程度の英語力だと電動自転車の設定の説明とか理解できない事が多かった。でも要は4モードあって、坂道や下り坂でモードを変えるだけのシンプルな操作だった。

初級コースだったけど外国人の人達足長いしスイスイかなり速いスピードでこいで遅れを取らない様にと必死だった。
インストラクターのfallen さんがAmazingな方で面白くてかわいくて優しくてファンになった。又ハワイ行ったら絶対やりたい。送迎なしで2万は高いのでそこどうにかして欲しいです。涙

We participated in our first horseback riding experience as a couple over the age of 60. The explanations were in English and completely confusing! (The video was in Japanese, so that was fine.) There was a Japanese person in the same group who was fluent in English, which was a great help. The horse I rode was very smart and it was wonderful. My husband's horse kept stopping to eat grass from the beginning to the end, which made it quite challenging. It was our first experience, but we were able to enjoy the beautiful scenery of nature and create great memories.

P.S. The girl who was our guide was always attentive, very kind, and adorable. Thank you for your care.

還暦を過ぎた夫婦で初の乗馬体験に参加しました。説明が英語でチンプンカンプン！（ビデオは日本語なのでOK）同じグループに日本人の方がいらして英語が堪能な方だったので助かりました。私が乗ったお馬さんがお利口でとても良かったです。主人のお馬さんは最初から最後まで何度も草を食べ立ち止まる事が多く手こずっていました。初めての体験でしたが、大自然の景色を見ながら楽しむ事ができ良い思い出ができました。

ガイドの女の子がいつも気にかけてくれてとても親切で可愛いかったです。お世話になりました。

The farm ground are awesome, you catch glimpses of the ocean, and the horses are excellent trained!

This was such a fun experience! Our guide was very knowledgeable about Hawaii culture and the location history. We sat in the back of the jeep which was exciting and a very turbulent! We went into the experience excited about seeing movie sets (which we did and were super cool) but came out of it more amazed by the culture and views! Bonus: Lots of animal spotting's too!

The drive to the ranch is also beautiful. Driving up into the forest was so amazing the trees and the vegetation was so lush and beautiful. The mountain range is ahh inspiring. My wife and myself were pinching ourselves because we couldn’t believe what we were seeing. It was truly magnificent, if your on the fence let push and throw you off it. You need to see this location we had the best time on our ATV tour. The tour takes you across the ranch with stops along the way to take in the incredible views and some history, traditions including how the ranch came to be and movie and tv history. There were so many tours available including horseback riding tour, zip lines, ebike tour, bus tours to movie and tv sites. We had a quick bite in the visitors center before we jumped back on the bus to head back to our hotel. (I noticed at the last minute, I accidentally reserved a tour to the Ranch “without transportation” and I contacted Veltra and they quickly adjusted my to tour include transportation thank you Veltra)

At first, I was so focused on the unfamiliar horseback riding that I didn't have any room to relax, but gradually I was able to enjoy it. The canyon was, of course, beautiful, and the seaside views along the way were also amazing, allowing me to fully appreciate nature.

慣れない乗馬に最初は全神経を集中させるほど余裕がありませんでしたが、徐々に楽しめるようになりました。渓谷はもちろん、途中で通る海辺の景色も最高で自然を堪能できました。

Larger ATV the whole famliy can fit in! We loved the grounds of Kualoa Ranch

It seems to be a popular activity, and even with a reservation made two weeks in advance, I couldn't get a morning start and had to book for after 1 PM. On the way to the location from the meeting point, there was heavy rain. By the time we arrived, it was just light rain. Luckily, the rain stopped before we departed.

Around lunchtime, there was a long line for ordering food, and I was worried about making it in time for my scheduled participation. It was the right decision to line up quickly after arriving. Before departure, we received a briefing and had our licenses checked. A Japanese driver's license is acceptable; an international driver's license is not necessary.

Finally, we set off. I had to chase after the car in front of me on the bumpy road, gripping the steering wheel tightly, which was tiring. I didn't feel much of a sense of exhilaration. At a rest stop along the way, there was an explanation related to movie shooting scenes, but I had only seen Jurassic Park and was completely lost.

It could have been a hassle if it had rained, but since the rain had stopped, there was little mud splatter and hardly any dirt. The leader at the front and the cheerful woman at the back were both very experienced. They talked a lot, but their fast pace made it hard to understand—about one-third of what they said. By the way, I have a TOEIC score of over 800.

The return bus time was predetermined, and we had to wait for about two hours. There were no souvenirs I wanted, so I just waited. It seemed that many people had come by car. I overheard a participant in the horseback riding course say, "I didn't think it would be this much fun" (in Japanese), which made me slightly regret not choosing that option.

人気があるアクティビティのようで、2週間前の予約でも午前スタートは取れず、午後13時過ぎの予約に。
集合場所から現地に向かう途中に激しい雨。到着時は小雨程度。出発時は雨が上がりラッキー。
お昼前後は昼食注文の長蛇の列で参加時刻に間に合うか、気を揉んだ。到着後、速やかに並ぶのが正解。
出発前に事前説明を受け、免許証の確認。日本の免許証でOK。国際免許証は不要。
いざ出発。前の車に後れないようにでこぼこ道を懸命に追いかける。ハンドルを目一杯握るので疲れる。爽快感はさほど感じなかった。
途中の休憩スポットで映画の撮影シーンと絡めた説明があるが、ジュラシックパーク以外は観ておらず、チンプンカンプン。
雨が降っていたら大変だったかも。雨が上がっていたので、泥ハネ少なく殆ど汚れなし。
先頭のリーダーと最後を見守るのは経験十分な陽気な女性二人。沢山喋ってくれるが早口で理解度1／3。因みに当方はTOEIC800以上。
帰りのバス時刻は予め指定されており、待つこと2時間ほど。欲しい土産物もなくただ待つのみ。乗用車で来た人が多いようです。
乗馬コース参加者が、「こんなに楽しいとは思わなかった」（日本語）と言っているのを小耳にはさんだので、「そちらにするんだった」とやや後悔。

I applied with excitement to enjoy the movie filming location. Following the misty mountains was a wonderful experience that captivated me with nature and horses.

映画の撮影現場を楽しみに申込みました。霧深い山々を辿るのは自然と馬に魅せられる素晴らしい体験でした。

I experienced this three years ago and had so much fun that I decided to try it again. There were no single-person buggies available, only the six-person ones, but I still enjoyed the long journey with the beautiful scenery and thrills. The staff seemed to be making an effort to entertain us. As expected, there were few Japanese people, so a certain level of language skills was necessary! I relied on Pocketalk. I would love to go again if single-person buggies are available again.

3年前に体験して凄く楽しかったので再びチャレンジ　1人用のバギーはなくて6人乗りのみでしたが、それでも長い長い道のりで景色やスリルが楽しめました。スタッフさんも楽しませようと頑張っている感じでした　さすがに日本人は少なくある程度の語学力が必要でした！私はポケトークのお世話になりました。　　又1人用バギーが再開されたら行きたいですね

Our tour guides were great especially Matt. He was friendly and personable. Kildra was great too but more on the serious side. I understand however that it comes with the territory as you need to move along quickly and safely without trying to make it seem so. They made a good team.

My boys loved the excursion and it was the perfect opportunity for us to bond. We appreciate the opportunity to be on the sacred grounds. We also appreciate the knowledge that was fed to us about the importance of this area, along with the cool movie stuff.

Only down fall, my wife and and found out the previous night we are expecting a child and she wasn’t able to join us. We already paid and when I explained this to the checkin desk, they didn’t care. I understand if I was canceling the day off to not be reimbursed, however in this situation/circumstance we could have been offered our money back for one ticket.
