This was before the pandemic, but when I used it before, they guided us around places like Izumo Taisha. The conversation was enjoyable! I was expecting that again, but none of the drivers understood Japanese. It was better when they at least said they were studying. Ah… there was no guide, and the level has dropped. It was disappointing even though they took us to various places.

コロナ前にはなりますが、前に利用した際は出雲大社方面などはガイドしてくれていました。お話が楽しかった！それを期待して乗ったら、どの運転手も、日本語わかりません。勉強中ですって言ってくれたらマシな方。
あー…ガイドさんも居ないしレベル落ちたなと。色々連れて行ってくれても残念でした。

The bus tour was reassuring because the guide spoke Japanese. In fact, the day before this bus tour, I participated in a tour with another company, but the driver couldn't speak Japanese and provided the guidance in English, which made it difficult for me to understand, so I was a bit disappointed (even though it was a tour aimed at Japanese people).

For this tour with VeLTRA, since there were no other customers, they asked if there were any places I wanted to visit and adjusted the itinerary flexibly.

バスツアーは、日本語が話せるガイドさんだったので安心でした。
実は今回のバスツアーの前日にも他の会社のツアーに参加したのですが、運転手さんが日本語が話せず英語でのガイドだったため理解できなかったため、少し残念でした(日本人向けのツアーでしたが)

VeLTRAさんの今回のツアーは、他にお客さんがいなかったのもあり、行きたいところはないか聞いてくれたり、臨機応変にまわってくださいました。

It was truly amazing. A valuable experience. Especially the wonderful female guide who showed us around and even took photos for us. It became the best memory of this trip to Hawaii!

We started by climbing Diamond Head and had breakfast at a local Starbucks. We drove along the West Coast, taking photos of the emerald green and cobalt blue seas, and were guided by a Japanese guide to beaches where we could see sea turtles and explore areas that are not accessible on our own. It was a once-in-a-lifetime experience.

ダイヤモンドヘッド登頂からスタートし、地元のスタバで朝食
西海岸を車で移動、エメラルドグリーンの海とコバルトブルーの海で写真撮影、海亀の見える海岸と個人では行動出来ない広範囲を日本語ガイドさんに案内してもらえたました。またとない体験が出来ました。

It was supposed to be a straight-forward excursion... pick us up, drop us off, pick us up again. However, our driver (unfortunately, I did not get his name) was such a hoot!!! At 5am, he had an energy and attitude that made everyone in the bus a little bit happier The pickup was quick and efficient. The driver made every stop an occasion.

I had no problems at all and used the Pink Line comfortably around Waikiki. However, once you go a bit further out, the bus stops can be very hard to find. Without the Lealea mark and with some discrepancies on the map, I felt quite anxious waiting, unsure if I was at the right stop.

ワイキキ周辺やピンクラインも利用出来るので全く問題なく快適に利用しました。
ちょっと郊外に行くとバス停が非常にわかりにくい。
レアレアのマークがないのと地図と若干違いもあり待っていても合っているのか非常に不安でした

I was supposed to join the Diamond Head hiking tour the day before, but… various things happened 😭
However, today I was guided by Ryota, and I made up for what I missed yesterday 💞
It was incredibly fun!!
As a senior who can't speak English, I was relieved to have the guidance in Japanese, which really boosted my spirits 👍
I'm glad I asked Ryota for help.
The only regret I have is that I forgot to take a picture with the handsome Ryota… 💧

Beware! Poor communication and NOT a sunrise tour as stated

This was sold as a sunrise at Diamond Head which turns out NOT ACCURATE AT  ALL! Diamond Head doesn’t even open until 6:00 and sunrise was 6:11 that day. By the time the van was parked it was 6:06. So obviously we did not make it to the top or even to a look out point to view the sunrise. We did get some pretty pictures BUT it was not sunrise by far. Even the pick up location was a rough start and poor, poor communication.  The instructions to 5:15 a.m pick up were at Hyatt Regency and the address. That’s it, that’s all the information that was given. So, we show up, we’re waiting and waiting then the driver calls and ask if we’re coming. Jon told him we’re here where we standing and he said no they’re on the side of the building. We go to the side of the building, which turns out to be a side road. Which looks like a shady looking road for deliveries and the van is parked behind the dumpster, picture attached. Now image this side street, van parked behind the dumpster at 5:00 a.m in the dark.
After the hike we returned at 7:31. Now pick up was at 7:30 and we did show up 1 minute late at  7:31 and the van was gone. Again, we’re waiting and looking. After a few minutes Jon calls. Thankfully we had the phone number from when he called us that morning or we would’ve had no clue what to do. Turns out THEY HAD LEFT! The driver tells us to wait there that he will turn around to come get us. When I questioned the driver about leaving us he said “Julie told you to be back at 7:30” to which I explained  we were back at 7:31 and called you at 7:33. He said I was coming back. I questioned again, “how were we to know that? All we knew was that our tour had left us. You could’ve called like you did this morning but instead you just drove off. “ He was never able to give a reason for just driving off or not even calling. He just kept saying, you were told to be back at 7:30.  My advice DO NOT TAKE THIS TOUR WITH THIS

Diamond Head had great weather and the views were fantastic. Our guide, Jonathan, explained everything in detail and made it enjoyable. After Diamond Head, since it was just our group, we were able to stop by the shops we wanted to visit, take photos, and he was flexible with the timing. It was a fulfilling day.

ダイアモンドヘッドはお天気も良く、景色がとても良かったです、ガイドのジョナサンが、詳しく、ポイントを丁寧に説明してくれて、楽しかったです。ダイアモンドヘッドの後は、私達のグループだけだったので、行きたかったお店に、寄っていただいたり、
写真を撮ってくださり、時間も柔軟に対応していただき、充実した1日でした。

The 5:00 AM pickup made it easy to reach the trail before the crowds and heat, and the sunrise views from the summit were absolutely worth the early wake-up with rewarding panoramic views of Waikiki and the coastline at the top.

The Waikiki Trolley Hop-On Hop-Off Tour was a very convenient and enjoyable way to explore Honolulu and the surrounding areas at our own pace.

It feels like there are fewer flights compared to before COVID, but it's convenient for shopping, and just being on the ride is enjoyable. I would like to use it again when I go to Hawaii.

コロナ前と比べると便数は少ない気もするけれど、買い物に行くのも便利だし、ただ乗っているだけでも楽しい。
ハワイに行ったらまた利用したい。

We gathered at 5:30 and started with a hike up Diamond Head, followed by visits to the Halona Blowhole, a macadamia nut farm, and Chinese Hat Island. We enjoyed a lunch of garlic shrimp at North Shore (Sunset Beach), observed sea turtles, and explored High Town and Green Coffee. It was a packed and fun day. Thank you, Jonah!

I just wanted a round trip, so I chose this option. I'm glad you took care of the entry procedures for me. I usually don't go mountain climbing, but I was able to reach the top relatively easily. If walking isn't a burden for you, I think you can climb without too much difficulty. The scenery was beautiful, and I'm glad I climbed. On the way back, since it was Saturday, I was dropped off at the KCC Market. Thank you for your accommodating service.

Diamond Head, which I had always wanted to climb at least once! The ascent was gentle, but it was quite hard. Still, when I saw the view from the top, I thought it was worth coming here!

After that, I got to meet some turtles at a beautiful beach, and I was able to visit Kualoa and Haleiwa, which was a great experience. Our guide, Jonathan, was very kind, thank you!

一度は登ってみたいと思っていたダイヤモンドヘッド！登りはゆるやかでしたが、なかなかハード。それでも頂上からの景色を見たら、来てよかった〜と思いました。
その後の綺麗なビーチで亀に出会ったり、クアロアやハレイワにも行くことができて満喫できました。ガイドのジョナサンとっても親切で、ありがとうございました。

Segway, which I wanted to experience at least once since I saw it on TV a few years ago! This time, I participated with my family of four. It was fun to ride along the coast while receiving the gazes and smiles of many people. Remi Hirano's talk was also fantastic! We took a lot of photos (my phone that I handed over was left with only 2% battery, haha). I would love to join again when I go to Hawaii!

何年か前にTVで観てから一度は体験してみたかったセグウェイ！今回は家族４人での参加でした。たくさんの人の視線と笑顔を受けながら海岸沿いを走るのは楽しかったです。ハワイの平野レミさんのトークも最高！写真もいっぱい(預けた携帯の充電が残り2%笑)撮っていただきました。またハワイに行ったら参加したいですね。

Loved the experience! Once in a lifetime so far. Hope to have a repeat someday!!

On the last morning in Honolulu, I signed up for this tour. I chose the earliest pickup time. The day before, I received a text message in English confirming the meeting time and location.

On the morning of the tour, I was waiting to see if someone would come to call my name in the lobby. When a large vehicle arrived, I thought it might be for me, and I should have spoken up, but I waited until I was called. Eventually, about five minutes later, the driver got out of the car and called my name. I thought it would be smoother if they also provided the car's license plate number via text in case no one came to call me.

The same driver was shuttling between the hotel and Diamond Head. Although they said they would pick me up at 8:35, they ended up being 30 minutes late. Since the hotel checkout was until 12:00, I was able to take a shower and change after returning to the hotel before heading to the airport. However, I know some hotels have a 10:00 checkout, so I was surprised by the 30-minute delay on the return trip. Moreover, the excuse was that they had to go to seven different hotels, and that group was late by 2-3 minutes each, causing the 30-minute delay. As I mentioned earlier, I believe if they had called names right away during the gathering, it wouldn't have taken so long.

ホノルル最終日の朝、このツアーに申し込みました。1番早いピックアップ時間に申し込みしました。前日にショートメールが英文で届き待ち合わせ時間と集合場所の確認メールが届きます。
当日の朝、ロビーまで名前を呼びに来るのかな？と思い、待っていました。大きな車が来たからそれかな？と思いこちらからも声をかけたら良かったのですが、呼ばれるまで待っていました。でも結局5分後くらいにその車からドライバーが降りて名前を呼んできました。もし呼びに来ないなら、車のナンバーなどもショートメールで教えてくれたらスムーズだと思った。同じドライバーが一台の車をピストンさせて、ホテルとダイヤモンドヘッドの送迎をしています。帰りは8:35に迎えに来ると言っていたのに結局30分も遅刻してお迎えに来ました。ホテルのチェックアウトが12:00までだったので、今回はホテルに戻った後にシャワーを浴びて着替えてから飛行機に乗れましたがチェックアウトが10:00のホテルもあると思うので帰りの30分の遅刻は、驚きました。しかも、言い訳が7個のホテルを回ってそのグループが2.3分ずつ遅刻して30分遅れたとのこと‥最初にも書きましたが、集合時すぐに名前を呼んで乗車されたらそんなに時間が遅くならないと思いました。

I received an email the day before asking to change the show time from 8 o'clock to 7 o'clock. Since we could communicate in translation, there was no problem. A cheerful uncle chatted happily as we headed there, and it was fun♪ Even though it was in English, there were no issues.

8時代を7時代に変更してほしい、とショーでメールが前日に届きました。翻訳でやり取りできるので、問題なかった。陽気なおじ様が楽しくおしゃべりしながら向かい、楽しかったです♪英語だけど、問題なしでした。

During the hike up Diamond Head, I was with two Indian people, but for the subsequent tours, I was alone. I was able to receive proper explanations at each location, and I had a very meaningful time with plenty of time to spare. It was great to have enjoyable conversations while traveling as well.

ダイヤモンドヘッド登山の時はインド人2人も一緒でしたが、それ以降のツァーは私1人でした。各地でキチンと説明してもらえて時間も取ってもらえてとても有意義な時間を過ごすことが出来ました。移動中も楽しく話しが出来て良かったです。

I used it for a round trip to Ala Moana Center! The double-decker trolley was like an attraction and it was fun.

アラモアナセンターまでの往復で利用させて頂きました！
二階建てのトロリーはまるでアトラクションのようで楽しかったです。

The path has almost no shade and goes straight up. The last set of stairs now has a detour, which is reassuring. It took about 45 minutes to climb and 30 minutes to descend for a fourth grader.

日陰は、ほぼ無く細い道をひたすら登ります。
最後の階段は迂回路が出来たので安心です
小学生4年生で登り45分程度、下り30分程度でした

The driver's response was very polite. It seems that it's possible to take a regular bus, but in the early morning, this kind of shuttle service is more reassuring.

運転手さんの対応はご丁寧でした。
路線バスでも行けない事は無さそうですが、早朝の場合はこうした送迎サービスの方が安心です。

We participated in a Segway tour as a family. We were able to travel and sightsee distances that would be impossible to walk. It was fun to visit places that we couldn't reach by bus. The instructor was also kind and took a lot of photos for us. We really had a great time. Thank you very much!

歩くのには無理な距離を移動して観光できました。バスでは行けない所も訪れて楽しかったです。インストラクターさんも親切で写真もいっぱい撮ってもらえました。本当に楽しかったです。ありがとうございました。

Because of our schedule, we chose to take the sunrise tour to Diamond Head. There is only one company that offers it that I could tell. It is an expensive ride, but you are the first one there. Note that you arrive 45 minutes before the park opens so you will be waiting in line to get in. You will need to use your flashlight on your phone to get up to the top and the hike is moderately difficult. We were lucky and had a beautiful view on the top. The malsadas are a yummy treat at the end.

I was told that we could hike at our own pace, but considering the meeting time, I couldn't take it too slowly. For those who don't exercise much on a regular basis, want to take breaks while climbing, or want to enjoy the scenery at a leisurely pace, it might feel a bit rushed.

There are Japanese brochures available, and the driver spoke a little Japanese, which was reassuring. I didn't feel particularly anxious about that.

The pickup was on time, but the return meeting was about 15 minutes late. I felt a bit disappointed, thinking that if I had known, I could have taken it a bit slower.

自分のペースでハイキングとあったのですが、集合時間を考えるとあまりゆっくりはできなかったです。日頃からあまり運動をされていない方、休憩しなから登りたい方、景色をゆっくり楽しみたい方には慌ただしいかなと思います。
日本語のパンフレットもあるし、運転してくださる方は片言ですが日本語を話してくださりました。特に不安はありません。
お迎えは遅刻することはありませんでしたが、帰りの待ち合わせは15分ぐらい遅れてきました。それなら、もう少しゆっくりできたのにと少し残念な気持ちになりました。

I was able to take a lot of beautiful photos. This is my third time in Hawaii, but I had some experiences that I couldn't have before. The bright driver was very kind.

The drivers were all friendly, and even though the weather in Hawaii was bad this time, they provided raincoats that we could get for free. The service was excellent. However, there was one time when the trolley didn't arrive on time, and when I went to the first stop, I was told that the first bus wasn't running due to a breakdown. At that moment, I felt it was unkind to those of us waiting, as we didn't have any information about the situation.

運転手の方もみんな楽しく、今回のハワイは天候が悪かったのですが、レインコートまで用意してあって、無料でもらえました。サービスも最高でした。ただ、1回だけ、トロリーが時間内に来なくて始発の停留所に行ったら、故障で一便目は動かなかったの。と言われたときは、状況も分からないし、待ってる方のみとしては不親切だなぁと思いました。

It was my first time in Hawaii, so I wanted to get an overall understanding and decided to participate. It was a great decision. In particular, Jonah's guidance was wonderful. He was friendly, kind, and his stories were interesting. I realized that the biggest benefit of joining the tour was being able to hear various stories from the guide. It was a fulfilling day.

初めてのハワイだったので、全体を知りたいと思い、参加。大正解でした。特に、ジョナさんの案内が素晴らしかったです。フレンドリーで、親切で、ガイドも面白かったです。ツアーに入るのは、ガイドさんの色々な話が聞けるのが最も大きいと実感しました。充実した1日でした。

At the ticket counter, I was able to easily exchange my voucher for tickets. Since I took the first train, they also properly informed me about the boarding area, allowing for a smooth boarding experience. On the route from Waikiki, we were able to stop along the way for photo opportunities! The explanations were in English, so I couldn't understand everything, but it was relaxed, and they provided various explanations, making the ride enjoyable. Since it runs along the coast, I think it's the best trolley for enjoying the scenery.

チケットカウンターにバウチャーを見せれば簡単にチケット交換してもらえました。始発から乗ったので乗り場もちゃんと教えてもらえてスムーズに乗車出来ました。ワイキキからのルートでは途中降りて写真撮影させてもらえます!英語での説明なので全ては理解できませんでしたがのんびりしていて、色々説明してくれるので楽しみながら乗車することができました。海岸沿いに走って行くので景色を楽しむには最高のトロリーだと思います。
