It was a good trip, the Arizona Memorial was awe-inspiring, the USS Missouri tour informed me of things I didn't. Also since it was the anniversary of the signing of the Peace Treaty, they were sprucing it up. A little disappointed couldn't get out in Punchbowl or downtown, but time constraints may have played a part in that.
Overall it was excellent, our tour guide was well informed and easy to understand.

I liked the Arizona tour, but I thought that the park dept could do more to explain the details of the Memorial to us younger folks who do not know about the detailed History of what happened and why it happened, other than the movie. Kids today do not like reading. IE: when we went to Kileau, we had a Park ranger, Jason Zimmer, explain to us in detail what was there, very informative. Also we would have liked to see Diamond Head, they say if time allows, but we wasted to much time driving around Waikiki.

The driver was funny and pointed out all the interesting sights and details. The tour itself was good. It was our first day on the island and a great chance to see things without getting lost. We took time later to visit some places again, but had the history (as presented by our driver) to help us understand it all. Thanks for a great tour!!

WOrds cannot explain this activity. My wife and I took a vacation to Hawaii as our yearly get away, no special occasion. I served in the military so this was a must for me to go experience. It was recommended for us to arrive early at pearl harbor. It's true that there is a massive line but I recommend that you go a little later than 6am because the line moves pretty quick. Let me explain the process because I did not see anyone mention it. The memorial opens at 7am and people enter inside the welcome center and get a card with a # on it, which puts you in a group. I estimate the group to be about 50 people. After that time, you just roam around the welcome center until your group # is called. Then you stand in line to go into a theater where you will see ACTUAL footage from the war and it's very touching and heart stopping. After that, you go outside to the water taxi (boat) which takes you out to the actual memorial. you can just feel the mood there. Some people can be disr

My family & I thoroughly enjoyed this tour. My husband is a HUGE history buff, my son - age 15 even enjoyed it, along with my parents (Around 60 yrs. old) and my husband & myself (late 30's) Therefore, you can see that it was interesting for all ages. It was a very spooky feeling standing on the Arizona Memorial, looking down at the sunken ship, seeing the oil still leaking into the water, and reading all of the names of those who perished that awful, fateful day. We also got to meet & take pictures with two of the survivors from that day. They were inside, sitting near the museum signing autographs. One of them was born in Macomb, Illinois, about 50 miles from our hometown of Rockford, so that was very surprising! We had an awesome guided tour aboard the USS Missouri. Took about 90 minutes, we even got to see inside. Saw the bunks where the sailors slept, the control room, radio room, the table where the declaration was signed to end the war, the "mess hall", stood under the g

Never been on a helicopter so this was really exciting for me. It is a great way to see the island. The way you are seated in the helicopter is by weight distribution with other passangers so it is by chance you get the window seat or not. The only small complain I have is that I wish the pilot could have circled or turned around on some spots so everyone could have a chance to view the scene. I was lucky to have a window seat but there where times when I had to strain over to see a tourist spot on the other side of the copter and I would be lucky if I was even able to catch a small glimpse of whatever the attraction was.

outstanding tour...tour guide was very knowledgeable, excited, and totaly enthused about the many subjects and topics. He made the tour as if Pearl Harbor had just been attacked and the events occurred on the day we visited. The many details and points of interest that was shared with us by the tour guide was graphic and realistic. The lunch was fantastic...actually one of a few wonderful meals of our entire 8-day stay on Oahu! I spoke with the managers of the Home of the Brave tours and complimented the tour guide on his energetic and positive attitude displayed by him the entire day. Wish we had more time on the tour with Home of the Brave....perhaps include the USS Missouri as a visit with this package. AAP

The Arizona Memorial Tour was far more then I expected. I think everyone should visit the memorial at least once, and then again any time their patriotism fades. To see first hand the devastation of the ship and realize that there are hundreds of men entombed there is a real eye opener. Our guide was friendly and informative. I would suggest paying the $5 at the memorial for the audio tour, we didn't, and I feel we missed out on some of the reality. The museum is phenomenal and you really need to take your time through it. It's a great tour, but I would like to have spent more time there.

This has been one the best tours I have taken in Hawaii, and definitely the most memorable one. Not only did we see Pearl Harbor, but we were taught so much about the military history Hawaii and being able to go to other points of military interest was a definite twist on the typical Pearl Harbor tour! The guide was a vertiable fountain of knowledge. It is easy enough to go to the Arizona Memorial, but that is just a mere tidbit of the vast expanse of history that is there for learning in the islands. Everything was perfect from pickup to dropoff, and the memories that I have from this experience are priceless.

This a very moving experience, having a father who was in the armed services during WWII and mother who worked at Hunters Point, San Francisco. I just found out she was on the USS Missouri to deliver papers just prior it leaving San Francisco on its trip to the Midway for the siging of the peace treaty with the Japanese. It is a history lesson for all, adults and children to know in order not to repeat history. The tour guide was excellent, he had a vast knowledge of history of Pearl Harbor, the Arizona and the other ships lost that fateful day. Being form Aeia, he also had avast knowledge of the Hawaiian history as well. Excellent time.
