Hawaii
Our guide Dom, did an excelllent and very historical view not only of the Missouri but of World War II in the Pacific. this was the Highlight of my visit
Please go and pay your respects! Tour bus picks you up and tells you how everything goes. We got right in when on some days you must wait an 1 or so. There's a short film before you are boated over to the memorial. It's awe inspiring.
Our drive was a cocky know it all rude person. Well, at least he thought he knew it all. He really sounded uneducated and told us things we did not need to hear. He also took about 12 cig breaks.
Overall great price and pretty good service.
Thank you Ron and staff for the best two days of our trip to Hawaii.Nothing was over done. You just told it as it was.A recommended tour for all.Would recommend to those who have traveled a long distance to allow at least two days to cover all that Pearl Harbor has to offer.Ron was a magnificent guide,he was able to make it interesting informative and fun, thanks Ron
Toshi, our pilot, was very informative and made our trip memorable. We bought the DVD of the trip so we enjoy it over and over. Thanks for a great time.
Everyone who visits Honolulu needs to go Pearl Harbor. We learned so much about that moment in history...how it happened...why we weren't able to stop it. And it was very meaningful to remember the lives of those who were lost and all that they stood for. We had a toddler with us and it was a good experience for all of us.
Very informative and sobering experience.
I would not want to come to Hawaii without seeing the Arizona!
I was a wonderful time. It was early to rise, but you get over that very fast. Pearl Harbor was great. It was a little long. If you like to shop they take you a great place. Just hope for great weather.
Going to Pearl Harbor was an amazing experience. It was very touching. Taking a bus tour to Pearl Harbor eliminates the need for driving in traffic through Honolulu as well as dealing with parking. The tour gave us enough time to roam around and also took us on a trip through Honolulu showing some sights. This is one activity that is definitely better suited as a bus tour.
We really enjoyed this tour!! Our guide was very knowlegable and experienced. Everyone visiting Oahu should visit the Arizona at least once. The Missouri was also very interesting, as was the Punchbowl.
Wonderful tour. Very moving. Something everyone from the United States should see and respect the memory of those that died there.
This was the highlight of our Hawaiian visit. The flight around Oahu was absoultly wonderfull.
This was an excellent trip
The highlight of our trip to Hawaii. Very professional company.
A very touching and meaningful experience.
Regardless of what Island you may stay at it is very easy to Island hop.
The Pearl Harbor tour was well done. Our tour guide, who was also our bus driver, did a great job explaining how the tour would be conducted, getting our large group lined up in order, and seeing that we all gained entrance to the tour together. The one thing that I did not care for was the tour guide's advice about who to vote for in the American presidential election. It reduced his tip by 50%.
Our guide was coughing into the mike as he talked and we thought if he was sick, he should have stayed home. He could have at least removed the mike when he was coughing.
The tour itself was wonderful!
This was one of the highlights of our trip! Driver was a bit late but it in no way impacted our experience. Its very busy at Pearl Harbor but everything is handled efficiently and although we waited in a very long line, it moved quickly and we were off to the memorial building. Very moving and impressive ! Every visitor to the island should see!
This was my very first helicopter ride. From the beginning, I had confidence in the pilot and the helicopter.
Everyone was friendly and helpful.
I would do it again.
PS FYI - NOT PART OF MY COMMENT
You have a typo in your Board Writing Guides in the Comment Writing Standards. You typed "Be through," think you meant thorough.
Nice tour - interesting tidbits along the way. I think the Explorer's Tour is worth the extra. You get to venture where the ropes are. You do some bending and ducking as you enter the various door entry areas on the ship. I think you get more out of the ship tour with the guide than just visiting without a tour guide.
ps - I selected good for families but that is also a judgment call depending on how mindful the children are in dealing with tight quarters and time-constraints to visit various areas of the ship.
The explorer's tour is worth the extra money. Instead of just wandering around on a few decks you get a personally guided tour of about 4 secluded decks including one of the BIG 16 inch gun turrets. Very interesting to see how a battleship works.
I and my wife went to Waikiki night Flight on my wife's Birthday. The View was Unbelievably beautiful, so she excited very much! She said the flight was the most Beautiful birthday present She've ever had! Thank you for the greatest time.
The trip was fantastic and i would definitely do it again. It was a brilliant way to see the island and the views were spectacular!
Wonderful tour. Guide on the Missouri - "Toby" was great. He served on Mighty Mo and was very knowledgeable of every detail of the ship. Will do it again.
Our guide, Dave, was excellent - so well informed and interesting to listen to. He obviously has a passion for what he does, and we found the two our experience to be one of the highlights of our Hawaii trip!
The driver was great! He shared all kinds of information with us about both the USS Arizona and the USS Missouri as well as Pearl Harbor. He was also able to give detailed information about each historical location we passes as well as Punchbowl Cemetary. It was a great trip worth taking!!!
We REALLY enjoyed our bus driver/tour guide, Ben. He was the best. He was very knowledgeable, funnv and enjoyable.
The whole day was wonderful, except for one thing......the 3 hour wait we had to get back to Kuaui.
That was VERY annoying because there is absolutely nothing at the airport to do for 3 hours. There are no stores to even buy anything at, so unless there was an earlier flight that you could get people on, I would not recommend the package to anyone for that reason alone.
When people are on vacation they don't want 3 hours of their vacation wasted waiting at an airport. You should really try to arrange the tour so everyone is back at the airport in time for the 5:45 pm flight back to Kuaui.
Don't miss the tour of the USS Missouri
The memorial symbolises the start of WW2 and the USS Missouri the end
After all, this tour is primarily based around a trip to a cemetary. There really isn't that much to see of the Arizona itself, just some shadows underwater really. As I mentioned though, this is a little different to your average tourism spot, no "ooooh's and ahhhh's for the spectacular at the Arizona Monument.
The battleship Missouri is quite impressive though, the tour around the boat itself is quite interesting and is very much worth a look.
The city and punchbowl tour really isn't much at all. You basically drive in and out through the city, that's the tour pretty much. The Punchbowl Cemetary is a three minute detour and probably really isn't woth the bother for what you see there.
The Arizona Memorial was 5 star!!! God bless the 1177 soldiers that gave their lives for our country!
The city tour was slow and boring. Recommend other transport to the AZ Memorial.
