The snorkeling points are indeed beautiful, but I expected them to be clearer. Still, I think first-time snorkelers would be satisfied. It might be that the sea was rough due to rain the day before. I feel that the clarity of the sea increases when the sunny days continue.

There is plenty of time for snorkeling, and families with children can enjoy it a lot. There are also plenty of floatation devices, so kids can focus on snorkeling without the risk of drowning, which is reassuring.

The staff's service is perfect. Their response makes you want to give a tip. The meals on the boat are made with healthy ingredients, so I felt safe eating them. The operation was such that it was hard to get seasick.

Our guide was very good at Japanese (I initially thought he was Japanese) and was interesting to talk to, making him a great person. Riding along the coast with the refreshing breeze was the best. The two hours flew by. At the end, my husband accidentally fell due to a sudden brake, but since he had never fallen off a Segway before, it was a good experience to have. Thank you for the band-aid. After that, we moved to the theater. Although the seats were ordinary, we were seated about three rows from the front, in the middle, so we had a great view. I wasn't expecting much, but we got to see a wonderful show. I thought the Michael Jackson and Elvis impersonators would just be look-alikes, but their singing and dancing were so amazing that I could mistake them for the real deal. I'm really glad I participated in this show. On the way back, I was able to take photos with the cast, and I was very satisfied.

We had a great time kayaking as a couple for the first time. Meeting at 7 AM was early for us coming from Waikoloa, but we were relieved to be easily found near the meeting point upon arrival. After receiving instructions on how to operate the kayak and doing some warm-up exercises from Noni, we quickly got into the kayaks and started our activities. The waves were high that day, so we couldn't enter the caves, and getting close was thrilling as we had to navigate the strong waves. We continued to enjoy kayaking, and at the end, we went snorkeling. The snorkeling was done after getting off the kayak. Due to the waves and our energy being spent on kayaking, we only snorkeled a little near the bay. It takes quite a bit of energy, so I was fine with about 30% snorkeling, but if you expect snorkeling to be the main activity, you might be disappointed. Depending on the weather, the plan can change, but for us, it was about 70% kayaking and 30% snorkeling. During a break from kayaking, we visited a hamburger place that Noni recommended, and it was delicious and impressive. Thanks to Noni's guidance, we had a wonderful time. By the way, there are no changing rooms or showers, so we changed in the car and went back to the hotel to shower.

I participated with my husband, who uses a wheelchair, and our sons, who are in fifth and second grade. The deciding factor for us to sign up was the large boat that allows wheelchair access. Since I used to dive a lot during my student days, I wanted my children to experience snorkeling and dolphin watching at accessible points by boat, but it was quite challenging with a wheelchair. I was very happy that we could go this way.

However, the meeting time was early in the morning, and we had to leave the hotel by 6 AM to drive from Waikoloa, which made my sons look sleepy the whole time. That was a bit disappointing. Still, the snorkel, mask, and fins we borrowed were comfortable, and despite it being their first time snorkeling in open water, they weren't scared at all and had a lot of fun. They also loved the noodle, a long floating device. (My husband wasn't feeling well and didn't snorkel, so I'm not sure if he would have supported them if they had wanted to.)

The kids wore life vests, and I only had the noodle, but it was enough to keep me afloat. The fish at the snorkeling spot were honestly fewer in variety compared to places like Okinawa, but I think it was a good experience for the kids' first time.

We also saw dolphins on the way there! We had breakfast (a variety of breads, fruits, and yogurt) before snorkeling, and during the snorkeling time, we could come up whenever we wanted to eat the hamburgers for lunch. The taro chips served at lunch were a favorite of the kids.

On the way back, we had a longer cruise away from the coast to look for big animals (dolphins, whales, mantas, etc.). Unfortunately, we didn't encounter any, but the cookies they handed out during that time were delicious, and my younger son asked for seconds.

It was a half-day tour, but it became a very enjoyable memory! If I could wish for something, I think a tour with a later meeting time and just lunch would be better. By the way, my children and I took motion sickness medication, so we didn't get seasick. My husband seemed a bit unwell, so I recommend taking motion sickness medication just in case, even for those who usually don't get seasick!

それでも、貸していただけたシュノーケル＆マスクとフィンが快適で、初めてのオープンウォーターでのシュノーケリングであったにも関わらず全然怖がらず、二人ともとても楽しんでいました。ヌードルという、細長～い浮き具もお気に入りでした。（今回夫は体調もさほど優れずシュノーケリングはしなかったため、やりたいと言えばサポートしてくれたのかどうかは不明です）
子供たちはライフベストを着用、私はこのヌードルだけでしたが、充分浮いていられました。ポイントのお魚は、正直沖縄などよりは種類も少なかったですが、子供たちの初めての体験としてはよかったと思います。
行き帰りにイルカも見られました！
行きに朝食（何種類かのパンと果物やヨーグルトなど）を食べて、シュノーケリングの時間中好きな時に上がって来て昼食のハンバーガーを食べる、という感じでした。昼食で出たタロイモチップスが子供たちのお気に入りでした。
帰りは大物（イルカ、クジラ、マンタなど？）を見つけるために、行きより海岸から離れての長めのクルーズでした。残念ながら遭遇はできませんでしたが、この時間に配ってくれたクッキーが美味しくて、次男はおかわりしていました。笑
半日のツアーでしたが、とても楽しい思い出になりました！
欲を言えば、集合時間遅めのランチだけのツアーがよいかな、と思いました。
ちなみに私と子供たちは酔い止めを飲んで行ったせいか船酔いはしませんでした。夫は少し気分が悪そうでしたので、普段酔わない方も念のため酔い止めをお勧めします！

The scenery was very beautiful. The buffet had very few food options, and there were flies, so my nervous child couldn't eat much.

This is our 2nd time to vacation in Oahu and visited Hanauma both times. Our 2nd trip we decided to book an organized tour because our first experience wasn't too great. This tour was absolutely incredible! Can't say enough positive things about it but here we go:

1) The guide showed up to our hotel early which is so refreshing
2) He was super knowledgeable, kind and enjoyable to be around
3) Before the snorkeling tour, he was amazing with sharing information about how to do it and what to expect
4) They had the nicest and softest mask and fins equipment I've ever received on a snorkeling tour
5) The hour long tour was amazing and we saw tons of fish and even a turtle
6) He provided snacks and water afterwards
7) He patiently got us back to our hotel and just truly blew us away.

The pre activities were so fun; my son (23 years old) participated in the coconut opening and the palm head cover. He totally embraced the moment.
The area was beautiful! We did the falls and the gardens first.
The drinks were quite festive, and the food was awesome.
The “show” was engaging; I loved the music and dance. And, the fire was very impressive!

I was worried about the high prices due to the weak yen, but I chose this plan because it has Japanese staff and allows participation for elderly people as well. I confirmed the days when Japanese staff would be on board in advance on the official Manta University website before making my reservation. The day before, about 20 mantas showed up, but on the day of our participation, there were only 3 or 4. However, the sight of them opening their mouths wide and doing flips up close was a wonderful experience that you can't have in other regions. The Japanese staff provided excellent support, and I was grateful that they shared the manta images taken with the GoPro. However, it seems that participating as an observer didn't have much meaning, so it might be fine to wait at the hotel instead (I'm not sure if waiting at the store is possible, but I wouldn't recommend it since it would be unattended). We used Uber for the round trip, but on the return, we waited about 20 minutes in the darkness, with only the faint light from the store reaching us. If you can tolerate that, there were no problems at all. Depending on the location of the hotel, plans with transportation can be quite expensive. By the way, we were the only ones using Uber.

円安で高いため悩みましたが、小学校低学年の子供と参加するため、日本人スタッフがいる点、また，高齢者も居るため、見学参加できる点でこのプランを選びました。日本人スタッフが乗船する曜日は予めマンタ大学の公式サイトで確認してから申し込みました。前日は20枚ほどのマンタがきてくれたそうですが、参加日は3、4枚でした。が、近くで大きく口を開けてクルクル宙返りをくりかえす様子は、他の地域では体験できない素晴らしい時間でした。日本人スタッフが甲斐甲斐しくサポートをしてくださったし、GOproで撮ったマンタの画像を共有してくださり、有り難かったです。ただし、見学参加はあまり意味がなかったようですので、ホテル待機でも良さそうです（店舗での待機が可能かはわかりませんが、無人になるのでオススメしません）。往復ウーバータクシーにしましたが、復路は、店舗の灯りがほのかに届くだけの暗闇で20分ほど配車を待ちました。それを許容できるのであれば、全く問題はなかったです。ホテルの場所によっては送迎付きプランはかなり高くつくので。ちなみにウーバー利用は私たちだけでした。

This was our favorite excursion! The captain and crew were so fun and knowledgeable! The coast was beautiful, and we saw lots of sea turtles and dolphins. The snorkeling was great too. We would highly recommend this company!

I left my hotel near Waikiki at 6:30 AM to meet at the location by 8:30 AM. I thought the shuttle service was a bit expensive, so I took an Uber taxi instead (it cost about 8,000 yen one way).

I arrived at the location in about an hour. It was mentioned that there would be a restroom, but there was no toilet paper and it was extremely dirty, so please keep that in mind when using the facilities. (laughs)

There were a total of 12 members in our group. Before boarding the boat, we had to take off our shoes. Since all shoes can be placed together in a basket, I recommend wearing sandals or something that you don’t mind getting dirty.

After reading reviews from others, I took motion sickness medication before going. After about 15 minutes on the boat, I got seasick. If you are prone to motion sickness, be prepared.

When we reached the area where sharks are spotted, we were divided into two groups: the first half and the second half entered the water. By the way, there was no one among the staff or participants who spoke Japanese. (laughs)

The captain explained the safety instructions in English. He asked if I was from Japan and then handed me a written explanation in Japanese. I can’t speak any English, but surprisingly, I managed just fine. (laughs)

They provide snorkeling gear for free. However, some people brought their own. Since the snorkeling gear is shared, if you’re uncomfortable with that, it’s better to bring your own.

The tour was more fun than I expected, with plenty of sharks around. The time flew by. If it weren’t for the seasickness, I would want to participate again and again. However, since the seasickness was quite severe, I rated it one star lower than the maximum. I returned by bus (it cost about 1,000 yen for two people).

8時半に現地集合のため、朝の6時半にワイキキ付近の宿泊ホテルを出ました。送迎してもらうプランが料金が少し高いと思ったので、Uberタクシーで自力で行きました。(行きのみで約8000円ほどでした)

1時間ほどで現地に到着。現地にトイレがあると書いてありましたが、トイレットペーパーがなくてトイレも壊滅的に汚い為、それを頭に入れてトイレを使ってください。(笑)

メンバーは全員で12人でした。船に乗る前に履物を脱ぎます。籠に全員分まとめて入れられるので、汚れてもいいようなサンダル等を履いてきたほうがいいと思います。

他の方の口コミを読んで、酔い止めを飲んでいきました。船に揺られて15分ほど、見事に酔いました。船酔いしやすい方は覚悟していってください。
サメの出没するポイントにつくと2つのグループに分けられました。前半組と後半組で海に入りました。
ちなみに日本語をしゃべれる人はスタッフと参加者で誰もいませんでした。(笑)

キャプテンが注意事項等、英語で説明してくれます。ジャパン？と聞かれ、その後日本語で書いてある説明書を渡してくれました。まったく英語を喋れませんが、意外と何とかなります。(笑)

シュノーケリングは無料で貸してくれます。ですが、自分で持ってきてる人もいました。使い回しのシュノーケリングなので、嫌な方は自分で持ってきたほうがいいです。

ツアー自体は思った以上にサメがうようよいてとても楽しかったです。
あっという間の時間でした。
船酔いがなければ何度でも参加したいです。
でも船酔いが相当きつかったので、星は最高点より1つマイナスにしました。
帰りはバスで帰りました。(2人で約1000円くらい)

I participated with my 9-year-old child. Surprisingly, the water in the morning was quite cold, and it was advised to wear a wetsuit, which we rented, and that was accurate! We also rented prescription masks, and both my child, who has poor eyesight, and I were able to enjoy watching cute fish (we even saw schools of fish!) and turtles without feeling cold.

I suddenly became scared of the ocean after not snorkeling for a while and couldn't swim at first, but the instructor, Chieko, kindly held my hand and helped me swim. Another instructor, Dan, also gave gentle advice! As a professional, he took us around to spots where we could see fish. Dan also provided various guidance in Japanese during the car transfer.

In the end, it cost quite a bit, but it was definitely worth the money! We made wonderful memories of Hawaii! Thank you very much!

私は久しぶりのシュノーケリングに、急に海が怖くなり最初は泳げなかったのですが、インストラクターのチエコさんが優しく手を引いてくれ、泳ぐことができました。
同じくインストラクターのダンも優しくアドバイス！プロならでは！で、魚が観られるスポットを廻ってくれました。
ダンはクルマの送迎でも日本語で色々と案内してくれました。
結果的にお金は大分掛かりましたが、払うだけの価値は充分ありました！
よいハワイの思い出ができました！
