It was cloudy until we reached the town of Hilo, but it was sunny when we arrived at Waipi'o Valley. We had about a 30-minute break for landing at the waterfall. I participated in the afternoon session. The sandbar had water up to my knees even in shallow areas. Still, I was able to take many wonderful photos! The staff members all spoke Japanese and were very proactive in taking pictures and showing great consideration. Also, the lunch was delicious! It was so good that I went back for seconds! Snorkeling was a lot of fun, with sea turtles coming very close and plenty of fish to see!! If you have a GoPro, you can capture the fish and sea turtles underwater, so I definitely recommend bringing one if you have it! It would also be great to have a float. I participated in November, and while it was a warm day, the water was still a bit cold... I recommend bringing a thick hoodie ('ω').

I participated with my 4.5-year-old child, and they provided us with kids' masks and boards with viewing windows, which allowed my daughter to enjoy herself.

There was a decent variety and number of fish, and although the visibility was okay, I appreciated that we weren't trying to catch fish with sausages. The slide and diving board required just the right amount of courage, which was great. The restrooms on the boat were also clean.

The speed of speaking in English was fast, but they provided important information on a paper written in Japanese, so I felt there were no issues at all. (My language skills are at a level where I can manage basic conversations in English.)

We received plenty of snacks and fruits, the timing was just right, and dolphins swam alongside us on the way back, so I think the affordable afternoon plan was a good choice.

4歳半の子どもと参加しましたが、キッズ用マスクや、覗き窓つきボードを貸していただき、娘も楽しむことができました。

そこそこの種類と数の魚、透明度でしたが、ソーセージで魚集めるようなこともしていなかったので、好感がもてました。

船内のトイレも清潔でした。

スナックやフルーツも沢山頂け、時間も適当、イルカも帰りに並走してくれたので、値段が安い午後プランで良かったかなと思います。

On the last day of our trip, we searched for activities near Waikiki and made a reservation the day before. The other participants were mostly foreigners, and there were no explanations in Japanese, but we managed to follow along. About 10 minutes after departure, snorkeling began. There weren't many fish, but we saw three sea turtles. The ocean was surprisingly beautiful. After that, we enjoyed sailing and took in views of Diamond Head and Waikiki from the sea. We had a lot more fun than we expected, even near Waikiki!

Dan arrived early for pick up at our hotel entrance. =) My wife and I have very little to no snorkeling experience, and our swimming experience is very limited. However, Dan and Cheiko made our adventure possible, great for beginners. Dan simplified the instructions to make it easy, fun, and safe for all. Cheiko was excellent in ensuring safety for me as I needed a bit more help/guidance. Saw lots of fishes and would do this all over again.

I can't speak highly enough of Dan, he is so kind and patient! He made sure that everyone was completely comfortable in the water with the equipment before starting the tour. He was constantly checking to make sure that everyone was still doing well and took us to some spots further out that a lot of people that were snorkeling on their own weren't going to. I think we got to see a lot more than we would have if we just did it on our own so I highly recommend this tour! We got to see so many different kinds of fish and even a sea turtle! Dan was taking pictures with his GoPro and let us know that he posts them all online on his company's Facebook page and that way you are able to just keep what you want to. Him and his wife were both so sweet and you can tell they really love what they do!

I used the service on November 14, 2019. When the bus arrived in front of the hotel, the driver called out my name, so I was able to board without any confusion. There was no place to change into swimsuits, so I wore mine both to and from the location. After arriving, we headed to the sandbar by boat. There were sales of motion sickness medication and sunscreen on the boat, but I think it's better for those who are prone to seasickness to bring their own. Once we arrived at the sandbar, we had some time to take commemorative photos individually, and then we split into groups for snorkeling and non-snorkeling activities. Snorkeling was only for those who could swim, as it required swimming 20 minutes in deep water. For those not snorkeling, one kayak and four stand-up paddleboards were available, and we could play while being taught how to use them. I didn't go snorkeling, but I was able to see a sea turtle while playing. The turtle came quite close, but touching or chasing it is prohibited. Lunch was a buffet with bone-in short ribs, fruits, and unlimited drinks. There were staff members who could speak Japanese, which was reassuring. Captain Bruce seems to cooperate with Japanese television filming as well.

This was the tour I was looking forward to the most on this trip. It takes about an hour by bus from the hotel in Waikiki to the boat dock. I was really worried about seasickness, but I was perfectly fine with motion sickness pills and a wristband. The sandbar was truly beautiful and worth the visit! I took a lot of photos during the sandbar walk. The snorkeling was done in a place where you can't touch the bottom, so it's limited to those who can swim. I saw a lot of fish, and there were also many sea turtles, which made for a valuable experience. I wasn't expecting much from the food on the boat, but the barbecue was really delicious! The guide was also a wonderful person.

My spouse and I participated together. I was anxious because I didn't understand English and there didn't seem to be any other participants from Japan, but the staff, who were from overseas, were very friendly and kind, making our time enjoyable. The drinks were delicious, and we were overwhelmed by the magnificent views of the Na Pali Coast! The sunset was beautiful, and we truly had a wonderful time. The only regret was that I wished we could have seen dolphins and whales. If I have the chance, I would love to participate again! ✌️

We are both in our sixties; my husband has good athletic ability, but he can't swim. Therefore, playing in the ocean is not a priority for us.

It was a great decision to try stand-up paddleboarding and canoeing in the beautiful ocean! My husband seemed to enjoy it too, and next time we want to try snorkeling as well!

We were picked up from a hotel near Waikiki and took about an hour by bus to the boat dock, from where we boarded the boat and headed to the sandbar!

For lunch, we were served hamburgers and drinks on the boat! They were very delicious!

There were also two restrooms on the boat.

The boat didn't sway too much, but if you're worried, it might be a good idea to take motion sickness medication before participating.

We joined the sandbar tour in the morning, avoiding high tide, and the water was still up to our thighs! The timing of high tide varies by season, so it might be good to check that before deciding on the tour time.

You can leave your belongings on the boat while taking photos and snorkeling at the sandbar. It was my first time snorkeling, but the staff taught us, and after a few tries, I got the hang of it! We moved the boat a little and, wearing safety jackets, we saw coral reefs and fish at a depth of about 10 meters. At first, I was a bit scared, but I was able to see the beautiful underwater scenery.

While swimming, I was lucky enough to encounter a sea turtle, which was a rare experience.

We could also see many sea turtles from the boat and managed to capture some great photos.

On the way back, you can change clothes at a restroom near the boat dock, but I didn't have time (the men's restroom had no line, but the women's restroom had a queue), so I wore my clothes over my swimsuit on the way back. 最初は少し怖かったのですが、とても綺麗な海底の景色をみることができました。

帰りは船乗り場近くのトイレで着替えることもできますが、私は時間がなく(男子トイレは並んでいませんでしたが、女子トイレは行列でした)水着の上が服を着て帰りました。
私はバスタオルを持っていましたが身体を拭いて濡れてしまったため、小さめのタオルを何枚か敷いてバスに乗りました。
バスの座席が濡れるのを防ぐため大きめのタオル
をいくつか持参されることをオススメします★

I participated with my 2-year-old. We joined in the morning, but despite that, the sandbar was already covered by the tide and we couldn't see it. I wonder if we needed to take an earlier tour? However, my child seemed very satisfied floating in the waves with a float. It was a beautifully sunny day, and the ocean was incredibly clear.

For lunch, we had burgers with charcoal-grilled patties. They were absolutely delicious! Since my child can't eat hamburgers yet, I brought rice balls.

We were lucky enough to see not only sea turtles but also manta rays up close! In the end, after playing a lot, they provided warm drinks for our chilled bodies, which was very satisfying. The staff were kind, and it was reassuring that they spoke Japanese. I would love to participate again.

The sandbar tour, which can only be seen at low tide, was wonderful thanks to the friendly staff, and we had a great time. The weather was nice, we got to see the sandbar, and we enjoyed swimming around the anchored boat, where we spotted natural sea turtles multiple times.

Additionally, we had a snorkeling plan included, but we ended up retiring from that. Instead, we were able to borrow kayaks and floats, and we also had the opportunity to experience stand-up paddleboarding (SUP). Although it was for a short time, we also enjoyed cruising on the cruiser, so thank you for that.

Thanks to the staff's fun conversations and attentive service, we had a lovely time. However, for those participating, since it involves snorkeling and a vacation at sea, I hope everyone prioritizes safety, follows the rules, and enjoys themselves responsibly. また、今回シュノーケルプランもついていましたが、私達はリタイヤしてしまいましたが、代替アクティティー
として、カヤックや浮き輪を貸して頂いたり、ＳＡＰ(スタンダップパドルボート)の体験もさせていただいた上に、少しの時間でしたが、クルーザーによるクルージングも体験させていただき、ありがとうございました。
スタッフさんの楽しいトークときめ細やかな対応で素敵な時間を過ごすことができました。ただ、参加される方についてはシュノーケルや海でのバカンスという事もあって、安全を最優先に考えてルールをしっかり守って自己責任で、管理した中で、楽しんでいただきたいなと思います。楽しく素敵な時間で良かったです。
