So much fun! The guys that worked there were very helpful and were also fun. They played music and would stop to show us some whales. My family and I had a great time! They even took a group picture of my whole family in that boat.

The boat was nice. The nature expert was very informative and had tons of bad dad jokes. We looked for over an hour before we finally caught sight of the whales. We were pretty far away so we couldn't see them too close. We only stayed for about 10 minutes before heading back, since we were already running late. I'm just glad the trip wasn't for naught.

Mina, Sienna, and David were awesome! Very friendly and engaging. We had a blast. Their playlist was perfect and even allowed requests. Loved it and we’ll definitely be back next time.

I booked this Waikiki catamaran cruise for myself and 2 others and it was the highlight of our entire trip! Booking was easy and affordable. The boat is very easy to find on the Waikiki beach. The staff was amazing, so friendly, and made our experience so much fun, helping us take pictures and playing great music.
The highlight of our ride was seeing a huge whale breach about 8 times out in the water!
I would definitely recommend this experience to anyone visiting Honolulu!

There are many breathtaking attractions and stunning tours on Waikiki. NOTHING is better than experiencing the beauty of Hawaii and it's wildlife than from the water - and the Star of Honolulu does it, like no other! Of course, the hope and draw of seeing whales is what brought us to this tour; however, truly, what makes this journey unforgettable is, in fact, the journey!

The boat ride, itself, is nothing short of magical. From the enchantment of rolling out of peer to the unreal experience of being on the ocean, looking towards our hotel from the perception of the sea is nothing we will soon forget! The crew were exceptional at being clear on instructions and protocols, which is appreciated - but truly what dazzled us impressed was how genuinely friendly and eager to help the crew was! I am disabled; the crew did an incredible job helping me and making sure I was alright!

The naturalist on board was great too! He was personable, knowledgeable, and open to questions, without being pushy. He enhanced the trip so much, and ticked our funny bone with his hilarious whale dad jokes!

Finally, seeing whales and dolphins in their own world took everyone's breath away! This was, without a doubt, the icing on the cake! We can honestly say, going on this adventure with the Star of Honolulu was the best and most memorable part of our honeymoon! Four of our biggest thumbs up for this amazing life experience; our biggest thanks to the Star of Honolulu!

I had my granddaughter as my companion and we so enjoyed the experience. The food was excellent! Wow a whole lobster which was such a pleasant surprise as I thought it might just be the tail. LOL. The serivice, the entertainment and overall experience will last me the rest of my life. That is coming from this 80 year-old-lady who hopes she has many more years left. Going to Hawaii was a life-long dream and I finally made it.. This sunset cruise topped off my whole trip experience. Have been telling anyone I meet who mentions going to Honolulu I emphatically tell them to take this sunset cruise.

Loved the show, fruit & cheese and cocktails. The was regular, not very tasty and I expected a real juicy steak not beef tenderloins and the salad could’ve been more than 3 pieces of romaine lettuce. Overall, the cruise was a lot of fun. We really enjoyed ourselves.

We were running late but they waited for us! Great crew kept our drinks topped up and provided spectacular views! An amazing way to see the Hawaiian sunset! We cannot wait to go again.

Moana sailing is a straight vibe along with their service to our preferred BYOB cruise. Entry was smooth with friendly staff to help with setting a great sail during golden hour near diamond head. I would not skip out experience additional whale watching alongside this blue coastal waters (if your lucky). Bring a pack of claws and your friends into one of the best water rides this side of the Pacific.

Perfect weather, awesome crew, beautiful sunset and biggest gratification - my in laws loves it!

The crew was super efficient and friendly. We were seated at a socially distanced table and served cocktails as soon as we left the harbor. The vegetarian meal was creative and delicious and better than some restaurant meals we've had. The skipper made sure we saw some whales who were especially active. All in all, a great experience.

Can't wait to do this again next year!! This was an amazing experience for my family and I.

This was the first time going on a sunset cruise. I would do it again. Although there were clouds, we were able to see a beautiful sunset. I posted some pictures. I would do it again. Bring a sweater because it is windy and cool. Thank you

The crew and service were great, the foor and drinks were delicious, and the boat not crowded. Best part is that we had a wonderful show put on by the whales and it was as though they planned their show just for us!

We went on a morning whale watching cruise! Enjoyed our morning mai tai! We have gone on this several times… Always enjoy the Star of Honolulu whale watching cruise! The staff is very informative! Would recommend to anyone!

Oh what a day! We saw whales up close and dancing dolphins! Captain stopped for the whales and took their time. Napali coast was gorgeous. The sunset was a real beauty that evening as well.

We had the best time in our sunset sail, we were able to bring our own wine and enjoy every minute of it. Excellent experience, booking was really easy, we really had a great time, can’t wait to do it again next time!

Once on board everything was terrific. Great staff, perfect weather, good drinks and unexpectedly a chicken dinner with rice and salad was offered. Had we known that - wouldn’t have had late lunch. Would have rated excellent- except the map provided was POOR. Drove around frantically for 25 minutes in marina trying to find where to go. No phone number provided. Fortunately a crew member called us and we made it. Others had same problem.

Our family had a wonderful time with dinner. We participated at the end of the dinner entertainment and it was fun.

My friends and I booked this as a fun way to celebrate our first full day in Honolulu and to take an official photo to share the news of our engagement! We had a wonderful time, and the captain and the crew took great photos and had an awesome sense of humor. We were able to bring our own drinks, got a great sunset, and we even saw whales in the distance! The best part about it was that it wasn't that crowded, so we were able to move around easily and have enough space to be comfortable.

We loved it so much that we booked it again for the next night (with another friend who arrived that afternoon). I'd definitely recommend bringing a bathing suit in case you want to swim, as some people on our trip had a great time jumping in the water!

We had such a great time on the whale watching cruise and saw two whales multiple times! The crew was great and very informative! This was an awesome experience and we highly recommend it!

We had such a GREAT time! The captain and Mason were a lot of fun, very nice, and helped us all have a blast. My husband and I didn’t have a cooler bc we’re on vacation, but they had coolers iced down for anyone who needed it.
The views you see of the sunset and city are unreal. You won’t see anything like it from the beach. We really enjoyed ourselves and are thinking of doing this one more time before we head home. Worth it!

This was by far the best dinner cruise we have been on in Maui. Superior service with a very delicious menu selection including prime rib and great desserts, not to mention the free flowing top shelf drinks. To add icing on the cake the Captain let me take the helm of this beautiful catamaran at full sail.
Hats off to the Captain and Crew. Well done!
