Nice way to spend the afternoon and see the sunset!

The environment is nice and crew was friendly. Food could’ve tasted a little better.

The sunset cruise was very relaxing and had a big thick rainbow that stuck around until the sun set. The food wasn’t amazing, but it was good. We only got 2 drinks included, NOT 3 as posted.
The captain did find whales for us though! So a free whale watching was included!
A really enjoyable time. The DJ was hilarious!

We travel to Kona every other year. We discovered the dinner cruise the last time we went and loved it so we definitely booked it again last week. This year was even better. The crew were ready to help anyone needing help. We were waited on and spoiled. The food was tasty. The historian did a great job as did the music entertainment. We took the cruise at the end of March which should have been too late to view a whale. One popped up right beside the boat. The captain steered the boat to try to follow the whale so we could get another view. It started raining later and once again the captain did what he could to take us out away from the rain. We will definitely do this the next time we return to Hawaii.

Such an awesome experience! Gorgeous catamaran, super friendly and upbeat Captain and crew, yummy sliders and great drinks! We will definitely be back to sail off into the sunset!

Moana sailing Company gave my wife and I an outstanding sunset cruise. It was a very peaceful cruise and the staff was friendly and very genuine! I love the crew and the service!

We were in Maui for 3 days and decided we wanted to do a dinner cruise. The staff was amazing and the views were awesome. The food was just okay in my opinion but overall, we weren't bothered since we had a great time!

We had such a good time on this dinner cruise. The food was good, the DJ and our tour guide was excellent. We ate, danced and enjoying the beautiful views from the ocean of the Big Island. The sunset view is a most see!!

Had such a great time on this cruise! It was such a good deal for the price. The boat isn’t huge, but once you get out on the water, you’re standing around the edge looking out at the gorgeous views anyways. Staff was very accommodating and funny, made the experience so much better. The drinks were great and we even got a 4th one as well as a little longer of a cruise as we took our time to head back to shore to see the sun set. Would recommend for anyone looking for a fun little booze cruise!

Always a pleasure. Brought my mother to the cruise. We both do not drink but still had an awesome time. Was a nice outing all the way around. Apologies as i forgot their names but i believe Mitchell was one and Jennifer was the other. Mahalos for the ride.

Great time was had by all. Crew helped celebrate my hubbys birthday. Superior customer service. Food was fantastic!!

Captain Cindy and Chelsea were so nice. It was my birthday and they made me feel so special. The drinks were flowing and they even provided a speaker for all of my friends and I to use. We had forgotten to get food and they had provided us an assortment of finger sandwiches to snack on. We watched the sunset and jumped off the boat. Honestly that experience was the highlight of my entire birthday trip in Hawaii. I will not hesitate to come back to them next time I am in Hawaii on the Big Island !

Staff was great. Bumpy ride out, smooth ride in. Can’t control the weather but I would totally do it again.

The food was very well prepared, we both had the prime rib, it was good quality.
The bar was excellent and accommodating. The staff was very friendly and created a great atmosphere.

Sunset cruise was a good time. Nice way to see the beach and Diamond Head. Beautiful views! Crew and all passengers were friendly and good music on board. Recommend

We had so much fun! The “guides” were fun and the drinks were great. We even got to see whales!

It was a great evening for sailing. The Captain and crew were very nice and got along well with everyone. We saw dolphins and one . The food was catered and was pretty good. Salad, grilled chicken and white rice.

We had to wait for a few couples before we could leave but we stayed out a little longer.

The crew is fun and informative. Great views of the island from the water and even saw some whales breaching. Made for some great pictures and we saw the "green flash" as sunset! You take a tender to the boat and do have to walk into the water a bit so just make sure you have on shorts or something you can lift up while getting on and off. Bring cash for tip and any extra drinks. Departs from the beach behind the Marriott which was super convenient if you're staying here.

This was an amazing experience! Be sure to sit in the front of the boat on the way out You won't regret it
The beautiful waters and sunset Flowing drinks , music, meeting new people and the crew we had was the BEST! They were so much fun!

The only reason this sail trip gets 2 stars is because crew didn’t sink the boat. Anything else was awful: boat was filthy, drinks were disgusting pre-mix maitais watered down; that is not to mention there were more people than seats.
Ocean and views of the island are great but that is not Manu Kai’s contribution.
We’ve done 10 sail trips in various Hawaiian islands- this was the worst of all.
It is cheap compared to others so if you’re after outstanding views for least money this trip will do the job.

Positives:
- friendly crew
- large boat
- BYOB
- boat was not crowded on the night that I went (only about 10 passengers total on a Thursday night)
- good areas to sit around boat and up front on nets

Negatives:
- beware that many sunsets on many nights are occluded by clouds (the company obviously can't control this)

The vessel is more like a ship than a boat like it has 3-4 levels. Very organized and informational! The staff is friendly. Lots of room to walk around. They offer motion pills or some kind of ginger cocktail to prevent motion sickness. They also offered small snakes like chips. There wasn't an option for breakfast.
I went in February and and I saw about 7-10 whales( sprays, tip of their tails). I think 1 or 2 came close to the boat. I enjoyed it. My little one (5yo) was mostly running around...lol.
