When making the reservation, I read some experiences and saw comments saying "we didn't see any whales," which made me a bit hesitant. However, since we come to Hawaii every year and my husband's mother was visiting Hawaii for the first time, we thought it would be nice to participate and enjoy the view of the Waikiki hotels from a large boat. We didn't see any whales, but we were able to spend a relaxing time.

The timing was just right, and I was able to see whales perfectly! It was moving! I definitely recommend it.

I thought it might be too early to see whales, but I was able to catch a glimpse of a whale's back. It wasn't an impressive whale watching experience, but I feel lucky just to have seen it. Seeing a lot of fish at the Aloha Tower harbor was an unexpected stroke of luck.

クジラを見るにはまだ時期が早かったかと諦めムードの時にクジラの背中を見ることができました。迫力のあるクジラ観賞でなく、なんとも地味~なものでしたが、見れただけラッキーと納得しています。アロハタワーの港でたくさんの魚を見れたのは想定外のラッキーなものでした。

I saw it~☆ After about 30 to 40 minutes on the boat, we spotted a whale in the distance☆ But then, for a while, we didn't see anything... Just as the announcement of "We're heading back to port" came on, a moment of disappointment washed over us, and then suddenly, about two whales appeared really close by~~ They raised their tails and splashed down!! It was amazing!! I was so moved that I forgot to take pictures...

でも、それからしばらく何も見えず。。。

のアナウンスが流れて。。。
ちょっとがっかり感が漂った瞬間に、
すごく近くで２頭くらいかな～～

スゴかったです!!感動!!

Sunset and fireworks viewing! Friday only dinner cruise.

It's just the best.

The staff is friendly, and you can enjoy wine while watching the sunset, and at the end, there are fireworks!!

I especially recommend it for couples.

I used the service on January 8. We were able to see the tails of whales about three or four times off the coast of Honolulu. The meals were satisfactory and matched the price. On the way back on the boat, there were also activities like lei-making and hula dance classes, which everyone enjoyed. I think it's a tour that is definitely worth participating in.

ホノルル沖で、３、４回クジラの尻尾だけでしたが見ることができました。食事も価格相応の内容で満足いくものでした。船の帰りには、レイ作り、フラダンス教室等も開催され、皆さん楽しんでいました。
十分に参加する価値があるツアーだと思います。

I applied with some hesitation, but I was truly moved to see whales! The kids were also impressed, and it became a great winter vacation memory. I've been to Hawaii quite a few times, but I had never participated in something like this, so I especially recommend it for families with children. The food was enjoyable too! I would love to participate again.

半信半疑で申し込みましたが、本当にクジラを見れて感動！子供達もインパクトがあり、いい冬休みの思い出になりました。ハワイはかなり行ってますが、こういうものに参加したことがなかったので、子供がいる人には特におすすめです。ご飯も楽しめました！又、参加したいですね。

I participated with my 1 year and 9-month-old child.

Having joined other whale watching tours in the past, I can share my thoughts for comparison:

If you really want to see whales, you should go on a small, fast, and maneuverable boat.

I recommend a small group tour that stops the boat if dolphins are spotted and allows you to dive into the sea.

However, for those with children or those who may feel uneasy about small boats, this large boat tour might be the right choice.

It might be better to join with the mindset of hoping to see whales while enjoying a lunch cruise. The food is quite delicious, and there are events on board, so I think it's a tour that won't disappoint.

１歳９ヶ月の子供を連れての参加です。

過去、他にもホエールウォッチングに参加していますので、
比べた感想を言いますと、


クジラを本当に見たいのなら、速度の速い、小回りのきく
小さい船でいくべきです。

クジラのほかにもイルカが見えたら船を止め、
海にもぐらせてくれるような、
そんな少人数のツアーがお勧めです。


しかし子連れや、船酔いなど、小型の船が不安な人にとっては
この大型船のツアーは正解かと思います。


ランチクルーズしたついでに、クジラが見えればいいかな、
という考え方で参加したほうがいいかもしれません。
でも料理はなかなか美味しいですし、船内のイベントもありますし、はずれのないツアーかと思います。

I couldn't see any whales. The boat was large and I didn't feel much rocking. The top deck was very pleasant. However, there were only a few chairs, so it's best to be at the top from the start. If you don't see any whales, you can get a free ticket for another ride, but there was a long line. There were many foreigners, but there were also Japanese announcements, so there were no particular issues.

クジラは見れませんでした。
船は大きくあまり揺れも感じませんでした。
一番上のデッキはとても気持ち良かったです。
でも、椅子が少ししかないので、最初から一番上にいたほうがベストです。
見れなかった場合、再度の無料乗船券をもらえますが、長蛇の列でした。外国人の方が多かったですが、日本語の案内もあり特に問題ありませんでしたよ。

I was able to see it up close. I was surprised. It's a great memory.

The crew also joined in the fun, making it a very enjoyable event. I participated in the romance dinner, and the jazz performance was wonderful, with all the food being delicious, which made my family happy as well. The only disappointment was the bus transportation; I understand it was New Year's Eve, but the waiting time for both the outbound and return trips was quite long, and I hope for improvements in that area.

船員さん達も一緒になって盛り上がり、大変楽しいイベントでした。ロマンスディナーで参加しましたがジャズ演奏も素晴らしく、料理も全て美味しく、家族も喜んでいました。
唯一残念だったのはバス送迎で、大みそかで仕方ないとは思うのですが往復とも待機時間がかなりかかり改善を願いたいところです。

I wanted to ride the Star of Honolulu again after my last trip to Hawaii, and while searching, I discovered a fireworks viewing and countdown course on December 31. Since it was a special countdown, I decided to sign up for a more extravagant and memorable experience.

The Star of Honolulu is not just a simple dinner cruise where you enjoy a meal and the night view; it’s a meaningful experience where you sing and dance with the staff. We welcomed the countdown on the deck, and we were able to see fireworks from both the Ala Moana area and the Kahala area, as well as fireworks from various other districts, making for a truly luxurious time.

I also ordered champagne, but when I requested to change it to a non-alcoholic option (Shanmeri) on-site, they handled it without any complaints, and the staff was very kind and helpful. I would love to participate again if I have the chance.

前回の渡ハの時に乗船したスターオブホノルルに再度乗りたく思い、探していると12月31日の花火観賞＆カウントダウンってコースがあるのを発見。
折角のカウントダウンなので、ちょっと豪勢に、そして記憶に残るカウントダウンにしたくて申し込みました。
このスターオブホノルル、ただ食事をして夜景を見て楽しむ単純なディナークルーズではなく、スタッフと一緒に歌って踊ってこそ意味のあるコースです。
カウントダウンは、デッキで迎えた訳ですが、アラモアナ地区であがる花火とカハラ地区？であがる花火を両方（その他色々な地区の花火も見える）見ることができ、とても贅沢な時間を迎えることが出来ました。
追加で、シャンパンを頼んでいたのですが、現地でノンアルコール（シャンメリー）に変更をお願いしたのですが嫌な顔ひとつせず対応してくれましたし、スタッフも親切で助かりました。
また機会があったら参加したいと思います。

I participated in the morning plan on December 26. I had joined two years ago, but I could only see something that looked like a whale in the distance, so since it was my last day before returning home, I thought I would enjoy the view from the sea one last time. However...!! From around Diamond Head, whales appeared here and there, jumping one after another!! Everyone was cheering and overjoyed. I saw the very jumps that are often featured in photos on the website right in front of me. I had my digital camera ready and was randomly pressing the shutter, and to my surprise, quite a few good shots came out!! I think whether or not you see whales is a matter of luck, but I never expected such a big show!! It was so much fun. The two hours flew by. The transportation was also very efficient, and I didn't have any issues. You can enjoy the scenery alone, but seeing the whales jump is incredibly exciting!! I definitely want to participate again when I go in the winter.

12月26日午前プランに参加しました。2年前にも参加したのですが、遠くにクジラらしき物が見えた程度だったので、帰国する日だったし、最後に海から景色を楽しもうと思って参加しました。ところが・・・！！ダイヤモンドヘッド沖辺りからクジラがあっちにもこっちにも現れ・・・次々にジャンプするではありませんか！！もう、みんな歓声をあげて大喜びです。よく、ホームページ等に載っている写真そのもののジャンプが目の前で見られました。持っていたデジカメを見当をつけて構え、適当にシャッターを押していたのですが、結構写っていてこれもびっくり！！クジラが現れるかどうかは運しだいだと思うのですが、こんなにも大サービスしてくれるとは！！とっても楽しかったです。あっという間の２時間でした。
送迎もてきぱきしていて困ったことはありませんでした。景色だけでも楽しめますが、やはりクジラのジャンプを見られると大興奮です！！また冬に行ったときには絶対参加したいと思っています。

Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! This was one of the most fun experiences we've had here in Hawaii! We moved here this summer and when my parents told us they were coming to visit again, I knew we had to do something special. And this was it! We had 6 adults and 5 kids between the ages of 7 and 11. The kids stole the show - they danced the whole time! It did not matter that there was drinking going on - the kids had a blast! How could they not? And of course we joined them in the dancing when the music got pumped up. Starting out with

The scenery was obviously beautiful and the crew seemed very knowledgable and capable. However, I have not been on a cruise like this before and conduct of other passengers and comments by crew about drinking and such were inappropriate in the presence of children. The enviroment was definitely not a family one. I was disappointed because my children did not enjoy it like I thought they would because they felt uncomfortable.

The sunset, the sea breeze, the drinks, and the atmosphere were all amazing on the catamaran. But... why was it on the net? A friend's camera from a wedding and honeymoon slipped through the net and fell into the sea! A fun memory turned into a sad one...

夕日も、海風も、お酒も、雰囲気も最高のカタマラン号でした。が・・・なぜ？網の上なの？ウェディング＆ハネムーンの友人のカメラが見事網の目をくぐって海へ！楽しい思い出が悲しい思い出に・・・　

I always had experiences that I couldn't enjoy from the land or the hotel garden. When you think of Hawaii, you think of the ocean, and the romantic presentation from the sea.

いつも陸やホテルの庭からでは味わえない体験をしました。
ハワイといえば海、その海からのロマンある演出、

Pros: Food was delicious, service was good and the views were great, the music was great!
Cons: The seating was very uncomfortable, the chairs were bolted down and the seating was very close. I have been on a few other cruises, and was much more comfortable on them. Would not do it again.

This was like my 5th time and like always a BLAST!!

I participated with my child. The sea was beautiful, and we went quite far out, which was very nice. However, I think it would have been even more fun if we could have joined as a group. Also, since you get quite wet from the sea spray, I recommend wearing clothes that you don't mind getting wet. If you're worried about getting wet, I don't think you'll enjoy it as much.

親子二人で参加しました。
海もきれいで結構沖まで行きとてもよかったですが、
グループで参加できればもっと楽しかったと思います。
また、かなりシースプレーで濡れるので濡れても構わない服装での参加をお勧めします。
濡れることを気にしているとそんなに楽しめないと思います。

With so many activities in HI being budget-breakers, this one delivers a really fun, relaxing evening at a very reasonable price. The mai tai's on board were enjoyable and refreshing. The crew was great, and genuinely seemed to enjoy their jobs, which made the experience all the more fun. The music was appropriately upbeat and fun. I thnk I could be pursuaded to do this nightly!

Food was good and wonderful views from the top deck...music to be serenaded by in the back ground was quite nice as well. One thing we noticed is there were some empty tables and they could have spaced the couples out a little more to fill the tables and to give a more private setting for some couples to be a little more private with each other. They could have also sailed up or down the coast a little instead of just coasting around Lihania might made for some nice scenery sightings as well...but overall it's worth it !!!!

Booked this sailing sunset cruise for myself and my beautiful wife. We have done sailing sunset cruises before in Mexico so knew what to expect and initial indications were this would be pretty standard fare for what we've experienced. However, the desire was to be able to appreciate a couple hours sailing while appreciating a beautiful sunset. We weren't looking for anything grandiose. But, we were impressed by the all male staff not being over-the-top on trying to "cheese" up the cruise but were good to let the experience of the sunset be the excitement for the guests. However, about 40 minutes into the cruise the captain asked loudly if we wanted to see dolphins. He immediately swung the boat toward a school of Hawaiian Spinner Dolphins and we were fortunate to spend the next 10-15 minutes sailing along with them playing all around the boat including swimming and playing in the wake at the bow of the boat. There was a school of 50+ dolphins all around us. What an amazing exper

There were a lot of whale families. The prices are reasonable, and meals are included, so families traveling to Hawaii during this time should definitely participate. My family was very pleased.

クジラのファミリーが沢山いました。
金額も安いし　食事もついているので家族連れでこの時期にハワイに行かれる方は絶対に参加したほうがいいです。
家族にとても喜ばれました。

The whole evening went very smooth, from the Transportation pick up to the actual cruise. Very well organized and the food was really good. The entertainment was very enjoyable as well, and everyone in our dinning area seemed to enjoy the evening. The sunset was very nice even on a cloudy evening. The view back into Waikiki was amazing.

First time in Hawaii, decided to do a sunset cruise. Really enjoyed it. Crew was excellent. Unfortunately you can't pick your fellow passengers so occasionally you may find a winner.

I participated in my first trip to Hawaii with my mother and aunt. Since it was my first time riding a boat in Hawaii, I was filled with excitement, but perhaps I had too many expectations... It was a bit disappointing. All I saw were the spouts and part of the tail of a whale. However, the boat did move to follow the whales, so I could feel that they were trying to entertain the guests. Since we are dealing with wild animals, it's all a matter of luck.

ハワイで船に乗るのが初めてというのもあって、期待に胸を膨らませすぎていたせいか、ちょっと期待はずれ・・・・
見えたのは　クジラの潮吹きと尾びれの一部。
でも、船はクジラを追って移動してくれるので、お客様を楽しませようとしている姿勢は感じられました。
野生の動物相手ですから、こればっかりは運任せですね。

The sunset was very beautiful, along with the night view of Waikiki and the fireworks.

It was great to interact with many people who were not Japanese (about 1 Japanese to 4 non-Japanese). It was refreshing since Hawaii is usually filled with Japanese tourists (laughs). The crew members were all kind and treated us well.

While a dinner cruise on a large ship is nice, I think a smaller, more relaxed cruise is also good.

However, the food (especially the meat) ran out quickly, so I couldn't eat as much as I wanted...

とても綺麗な夕日、ワイキキの夜景、花火でした。

日本人以外の方が多く（日本人：日本人以外＝１：４ぐらい）、交流ができてよかったです。（ハワイはどこに行っても日本人だらけなので新鮮でした笑）
クルーの方もみなさん親切でよくしていただきました。

大きな船でのディナークルーズもいいですが、少人数でゆったりとなごやかなクルーズもよいと思います。

ただ食事（肉系が・・・）がすぐになくなってしまい思う存分は食べられませんでした・・・。

We had a fantastic tour and was even lucky enough to see lots of Dolphins along the way!! Being on the boat was a fun experience (not recommended if you get sea sick as the waves can get very big which makes for a bumpy but fun ride!) and the views of The Na Pali were amazing. Great crew too which made the trip more enjoyable - lots of interesting stories and very welcoming! The food was well prepared and had a good variety too - very tasty! We would highly recommend this tour!

We actually went on two sailing trips in Waikiki with two different companies and although both were very good this one was better. The space on the boat was very roomie and the drinks were awesome - we just stuck to the specialty drink, but they offered beer and wine also. The music was one of the best parts - old school - jawaiian - reggae and the vibe was extremely relaxing!!! As the drinks continued to pour our group got real friendly waving and cheering to passing boats ... we were obviously having much more fun. Writing this I miss it and would definitely recommend this to everyone! Bottoms up!
