It was simply amazing. This was the best part of the tour. The wind was quite strong and the waves were high, so we ended up soaking wet as if we had taken a shower, but that made it even more fun. My husband and I are already talking about participating again the next time we go to Hawaii. Despite the huge waves, I didn't feel seasick at all, which was incredibly enjoyable. The tour lasted about two hours and was reasonably priced, so I signed up with a casual mindset, but it turned out to be a great decision. On the way back to Waikiki Beach, we encountered sea turtles twice, which really boosted our excitement. When the staff threw out some food, a lot of fish came over, and that was great too. I highly recommend it.

とにかく面白いの一言です。
今回のツアーの中では最高でした。
風が結構あって波も高かったのでまるでシャワーをあびたようにびしょぬれ状態でしたが、そこがまた楽しくて今度ハワイに行った時も絶対に参加しようと主人と話しています。
あんなにすごい波なのに船に酔うという事が楽しすぎて全くありません。
時間も２時間位だしお値段も安いのでついでの様な気持ちで申し込んだツアーでしたが、大正解でした。
ワイキキの浜へ戻る時にウミガメと2回遭遇してまたテンションが上がりました。
スタッフの方が餌をまいたら沢山お魚が寄ってきてそれも良かったですよ。
かなりお勧めです。

I payed an extra 25 dollars per person for a guaranteed private table but the couples table next to us was maybe 6 inches away. Not very private at all. This issue aside it was a great experience and we had a lot of fun.

Since you won't see them if you don't go during this season, I went for the second time. The waves were a bit high, so they didn't appear for a while, but they finally showed themselves. They were a bit farther away than last time, but it was great to feel the size of the whales again. I recommend it for those who can go during the whale season.

この時期に行かないと見ないので、２回目ですが、行ってきました。
少し波が高いので、なかなか現れなかったのですが、ようやく姿を見せてくれました。
前回より遠めですが、改めて鯨の大きさを感じれて良かったです。
鯨のいる季節に行かれる方はお薦めです。

The sunset viewed from the catamaran was amazing. The wind is strong over the sea, and it gets quite cool in the evening, so don't forget to bring a light jacket!

カタマランから眺めるサンセットは最高でした。
海の上は風が強く夕方は結構涼しいので羽織るのもを忘れずに！

The luxurious dinner on the large ship was like a show, so I decided to book a different route. It was very good. The captain was a typical American, but he spoke fluent Japanese and kept cracking jokes. We enjoyed the sunset while moving around the deck. We got close to the fireworks on the yacht, and they were spectacular. I highly recommend it to many people.

大きな船での豪華ディナーはショーなので、別の路線に行きたく申し込ませていただきました。
大変良かったです。キャプテンがこてこてのアメリカ人なのですが、日本語ペラペラの冗談続き。
デッキ中、あっちに行ったりこっちに行ったりしながら夕日を堪能させていただきました。花火もヨットなのですぐ近くまで行って、迫力満点で見せていただきました。多くの人に、推薦します。

On my twelfth trip to Hawaii, I went whale watching for the first time. I had low expectations, thinking it would be nice if we saw some whales. However, the onboard announcements provided updates on whale sightings, and by patiently watching in that direction, I was treated to an emotional sight. I was deeply moved by the sight of the whales spouting water as they swam with their family.

12回目のハワイで初のホエールウォッチング。
まあ、見れたらいいかな…ぐらいの期待度でしたが船内放送で随時クジラの情報を放送してくれるのでその方向を根気強く見ていると感動の光景が。
何度も家族で泳ぐクジラの潮吹きに大感動でした。

We saved the best for last , attended the night before we flew home . Everybody said it was the best time they had in the 2 weeks we spent on the big island. We loved it!!!!

Since it was mid-April, most tours had already ended. Just when I was about to give up, I came across this tour. I participated knowing that the chances of seeing whales were low, but I was able to see several of them. I even witnessed the moment when they dove straight down to the seabed. The other tour participants were also cheering. It was fun. I would like to participate again. Thank you very much.

4月の中旬だったので、ほとんどのツアーが終了されていました。諦めかけていた時にこのツアーに遭遇しました。
クジラに会えない確率の方が高いのを覚悟して参加しましたが、何頭も見ることができました。まっすぐに海底に潜る瞬間の尾ひれも見れました。ツアー客の人たちも歓声を上げていました。楽しかったです。又参加したいです。ありがとうございました。

This year, I participated with my parents and children, spanning three generations. Since we had children with us, we decided to join the Honolulu for whale watching, as it seemed that the boat activities were not suitable for them yet. I had heard that the area where whales appear is beyond Hawaii Kai, but it seemed that the Honolulu mainly offered sightseeing, as the tour only went as far as providing a view of Waikiki. If you have the time and are mainly interested in sightseeing, it might be fine, but for those hoping for the kind of whale watching advertised, I think other activities would be better.

今年お正月に両親、子供と3世代で参加しました。
子供がいるため、ホエールウォッチングにはまだボートでのアクティビティは出来そうになかったので
ホノルル号で参加を決めたのですが、
ホエールの現れるエリアはハワイカイより先と聞いておりましたが、ホノルル号は遊覧がメインなのか
ワイキキを見渡せるあたりまでの遊覧でした。
時間があり遊覧をメインとされるのであればいいかと思いますが、宣伝で使ってるようなホエールウォッチングを希望される方は
他のアクティビティがいいかと思いました。

We participated as a family on April 2nd. Since there was no pickup at 8 AM, I was thinking of taking the trolley bus, but it seemed that it wasn't running yet. I heard that I could take the bus, so I waited for the 19 or 20 mentioned in the book, but since I didn't check the schedule, it took a while to arrive. I ended up taking a taxi in a hurry.

The office location was hard to find. I stayed under the Aloha Tower for a while, but since I needed to go to the restroom, I headed towards the large ship and found the office. They take a photo when you board, which costs $18. If the waves are calm, there's no worry about seasickness. You can see the whales' spouts and tails from a distance. They announced that you can only see the high jumps in winter. The kids got bored quickly.

I was able to enjoy a nice nap while being gently hit by the pleasant sea breeze until we returned to the port (laughs). There were a few foreigners eating fruit, so it seems like bringing food is not prohibited...

4/2に家族で参加しました
8時集合の迎えなしだったのでトロリーバスでいこうかとおもっていましたが
まだ運行時間ではなかったようでthe BUSでも行けると聞いたので
本に載っていた19か20を待ちましたが時間を調べなかったのでなかなか来ず
焦ってタクシーで行きました
事務所の場所が分りづらい
アロハタワーの真下にしばらくいましたがトイレに行きたくなったので
大型船の方へ行くと事務所が見つかりました
乗る時に写真を撮ってくれます、18ドルします
波が穏やかであれば船酔いの心配はないです
鯨の潮吹きと尻尾が遠目で見ることが出来ます
ハイジャンプは冬にしか見れないとアナウンスしてました
子供達はすぐに飽きてしまいました
港に帰るまで心地よい潮風に打たれて気持ちよく寝れました（笑）
果物食べてる外人さんが数人いたので持ち込み出来ないことはないようですが…

The boat rocked quite a bit. It was difficult to stand, so those who are prone to seasickness might find it a bit challenging. Eating was also difficult in those conditions. The whales didn't show themselves very often. After seeing them spout water a few times, we only caught a glimpse of their backs, but it was still moving. Onboard, there were plenty of fun activities like hula dancing, lei-making, and ukulele lessons. I made a lei to take home. I am grateful for such a valuable and fulfilling experience. I would like to go again as a repeat visitor. Thank you, Alan1, for the wonderful memories. Mahalo~

かなり船が揺れました。立っていられない程なので、船酔いする方は少し難しいかもしれません。食事もその中では難しかったです。クジラもなかなか姿を見せてはくれませんでした。潮を吹いている瞬間を何回か見た後、背中がちょこっと見えただけでしたが、感動しました。船内ではフラ体験やレイ作成体験、ウクレレレッスン等楽しい行事が盛沢山。レイを作って持ち帰りました。とっても貴重な充実した体験をさせて頂き感謝です。またリピーターとして行きたいと思います。alan1さん楽しい思い出をありがとうございました。マハロ~

I participated in late March, towards the end of the season. It seems that if you can't see any whales, you can get a reboarding ticket, but due to scheduling conflicts, I couldn't reboard, so I was worried about whether I would see any whales.

In the end, I was able to see whales up close. I had booked a meal-inclusive course, but if you see a whale, you should focus on watching the whale and interrupt your meal. There is plenty of time for dining.

シーズン終盤の3月下旬に参加しました。
見られない場合は再乗船券をもらえるようですが、スケジュールの都合で再乗船はできないので、クジラが見られるか心配でした。

結果は間近でクジラを見ることができました。食事付きのコースを予約しましたが、クジラが見えたら食事を中断してクジラを見ることに専念すべきです。食事の時間は結構あります。

私たちは素晴らしい時間を過ごしました。3歳の子供がクジラを見るのを見られてとても良かったです。

We had a great time. It was great to watch out 3 year old to see the whale.

We will set sail around 4:00 PM and return before 6:00 PM. One of the great points is being able to see Waikiki from a perspective that you can't from the ground. Additionally, you can view Diamond Head from an angle that is usually not visible, which was also nice. We'll return just in time for sunset, so you'll get to see a really beautiful sunset. Since drinks are all-you-can-drink, I think it's great for those who can handle their alcohol and don't get seasick!

16：00ころ出航して、18:00前くらいに戻ってきます。
地上からは見ることの出来ないワイキキの姿を見れるのがグッドポイントです。またダイアモンドヘッドも普段は見れない角度から見れてこれも良かった。
戻ってくる頃にちょうどサンセットの時間帯ですごくきれいな夕日が見れます。
お酒が飲み放題なので、お酒が強くて、船酔いしない人にとっては良いと思います！

I participated on March 22. Since it was near the end of the season, I was worried about not seeing any whales, but I thought it would be good to enjoy the cruising experience. While we were still on our way to the destination, we saw a spout at the back of the boat. There was no announcement at that time. After that, with the captain's announcement, we were able to see spouts and dark bodies multiple times. When the tail fin was visible, all the participants cheered. The wind was strong, but my whole family was satisfied. Thank you very much.

3月22日に参加しました。シーズンの終わりに近かったので、鯨が見れない不安もあったのですが、クルージングを楽しめれば良いと思い参加しました。まだ目的の場所に向かっている途中、船の後方に潮吹きが見れました。そのときは船内アナウンスもありませんでした。その後、船長のアナウンスとともに、何度も潮吹きや黒い体が見れました。尾びれが見えたときは、参加者がみんな歓声を上げていました。風は強かったのですが、家族全員満足しました。ありがとうございました。

I participated on March 24th. Since I tend to get seasick, I took motion sickness medication early, which may have helped, but I did feel a bit nauseous when the waves were rough. However, as soon as we spotted the whale, my seasickness disappeared. The sweet potato-like dish was delicious, and I even had seconds on the cookies. When the whale was spotted, there was a cheer from everyone.

３月２４日に参加しました。船酔いするので酔い止めを早めに飲んだせいか、一時波がきつい時だけ酔いましたがその後すぐくじらがみつかり酔いも吹っ飛びました。さつまいもみたいなのがおいしかったのと、クッキーもおかわりさました。
くじらが見えた時は、喚声があがりました。

I had heard that it was hard to get seasick, but when we went out into the open ocean, it was anything but fireworks. The foreigners around me were also terribly seasick. I'm done with this.

あまり酔いにくいと聞いていたのですが、外洋に出たときには花火どころではありませんでした。周りの外国人もひどく酔っていました。こりごりです。

It was said that we couldn't get closer than 100 yards (just under 100 meters) for whale protection, but I felt like we could see the whales' tails, spouts, and backs from a few hundred meters away. I chose a plan that included lunch and transportation, but the lunch might have been unnecessary. (During the meal, there were announcements about whale sightings, so I couldn't eat in peace, and the food got cold and wasn't tasty.)

I think it would be better to separate the experiences: a reasonable morning tour focused on whale watching, and a sunset dinner cruise on the same Star of Honolulu for enjoying a meal. Also, since the whales were quite far away, I feel that my child wouldn't be very impressed even when they grow up a bit more. (Unless we were lucky enough to have the whales come closer.)

I chose the transportation option, but the area around Aloha Tower, where the boat departs, has a small mall, and it seemed like a nice place to stroll, so it might be better to take a taxi ourselves.

100ヤード（100メートル弱）以内には、鯨保護のために近寄れないとのことでしたが、感覚的には数百メートル先で鯨さんの尻尾や潮吹き、数回背中などが望めました。　私は1歳8ヶ月の子連れで、ランチつき、送迎付のプランを選択しましたが、ランチは余計だったかもしれません。（食べている間にも鯨発見！のアナウンスが流れたりして落ち着いて食べられず、冷めてしまって美味しくないので）
なので、鯨を見るなら鯨を見る、に集中したリーズナブルな午前中のツアー、お食事を楽しむなら同じスターオブホノルル号で行くサンセットディナークルーズ、と分けたほうが良いような気がしました。　また、あまりに鯨が遠いので、子どもは相当大きくなってもあまり感動しない気がします。（運良く近くに来てくれれば別でしょうけれども）。　
送迎付を選びましたが、船の発着するアロハタワー近辺はちょっとしたモールもあって、お散歩するのも楽しそうだったので自分たちでタクシーで行くほうが良いかもしれません。　

We participated as a family of four. Since I have experienced dinner cruises on large ships twice before, this time we chose the catamaran. The ship was almost full, but we were the only Japanese guests. There were many foreign couples, and the all-you-can-drink Mai Tai was very popular. I had three myself.

It does sway quite a bit (sometimes the captain intentionally makes it rock), so it's not suitable for families with small children, but you can stand on the deck, and I think it's perfect for adult groups. Also, since we stayed at the Sheraton, it's very convenient for those staying at nearby hotels. I definitely want to participate again next time.

家族４名で参加しました。
大型船でのディナークルーズは、これまで２回経験しているので、今回はカタマラン号にしました。
船内は、ほぼ満席でしたが、日本人は我々だけ。外国人は、カップルも多く、飲み放題でマイタイが大人気。私も３杯いただきました。
さすがに揺れるので（船長がわざと揺らす場合もあります）、小さい子供づれには不向きですが、甲板にも立てますし、大人のグループには最適だと思います。また、宿泊がシェラトンだったのっで、近くのホテルに宿泊の方はとても便利です。
次回もぜひ参加したいです。

I participated in the morning whale watching cruise with Star of Honolulu (without breakfast buffet).

After boarding, we were guided to seats on the first floor, where everyone listened to a whale watching lecture. There was an explanation in English followed by one in Japanese. Once the lecture was over, we dispersed to wait for the whales to appear at our preferred spots (most people went to the top deck, the fourth floor). The ship also provides free motion sickness medication, but you'll need water to take it.

When a whale is spotted, they announce the direction and distance over the loudspeaker. I was able to catch a glimpse of the spout and tail. You can leisurely enjoy the view of Honolulu from the sea, which is nice for those who want to relax, but if you're expecting to see whales up close in a dramatic way, it might not meet your expectations.

By the way, the parking at Aloha Tower costs $3 for the first 30 minutes, and then $3 for every additional 30 minutes, so it might be good to time your arrival with the departure time. In the morning, the shops were still closed. The second floor of the shopping arcade was under renovation and closed.

スターオブホノルルの午前中のホエールウォッチングクルーズに参加しました。（朝食ビュッフェ無し）

乗船して１階の席に案内され、ホエールウォッチングのレクチャーをみんなで聴きます。英語の後、日本語での解説があります。　レクチャーが終わると解散、好きな場所でクジラの出現を待ちます。（ほとんどの方々が最上階・４階のデッキへ）
船内で酔い止めも無料で配ってくれますが、飲むのに水が必要です。

クジラを見つけると、放送で方向と距離を教えてくれます。
潮吹きや尻尾がチラッと見ることができました。
海からのホノルルの街をのんびりと眺めることができるので、
のんびりしたい方には良いと思いますが、クジラを間近で迫力ある姿を期待すると、いまひとつかもしれません。

ちなみに、アロハタワーの駐車場は、最初の３０分で３ドル、その後３０分毎に３ドル掛かるので、出港時間に合わせて行くのが良いかも。朝はまだお店は開いていませんでした。
ショッピングアーケードの２階は改装中で閉鎖されていました。

I was surprised by the number of foreign participants, more than I expected. We were able to see the whale's tail and spouting, and the children were very happy. Aloha Tower is a stop for the Waikiki Trolley, so if you participate in the afternoon, you might not need transportation. Our family used the morning service, so we opted for transportation, but on the way back, we asked the driver to drop us off at Ala Moana Center. I would like to participate again if the opportunity arises. Thank you very much.

思ったより外国人の参加が多く驚きました。
クジラのしっぽと潮吹きが確認でき、子どもたちも大喜びでした。
アロハタワーはワイキキトロリーの停留所なので、午後の参加なら送迎は不要かも。我が家は午前利用だったので送迎付きにしましたが、帰りは運転手さんに申し出てアラモアナセンターで降ろしてもらいました。
また機会があれば参加したいです。

Unfortunately, the whales did not appear, but we enjoyed the cruise. Since it's nature, it was just unlucky. Even though breakfast was included, we were offered drinks for an additional charge, which left us feeling dissatisfied with the tour. What a shame.

残念な事にホエールが現れず、遊覧を楽しみました。
自然の事なので、アンラッキーでした。

Everyone except for us, a couple, was from an English-speaking country.
At the beginning, the pace was slow and the atmosphere was relaxed, but from the middle, the speed picked up, and we were squealing with excitement at the splashes of water.
The background music also got louder, and everyone's spirits lifted.
Although it was far away, I was moved to see a whale.
Out in the distance, the crew members were feeding fish.
There were mostly black fish, but many gathered around.
As for attire, some people were in swimsuits, while others wore T-shirts and shorts.
It's reasonably priced, and I think it's worth participating.
It was truly refreshing.

私たち夫婦以外は皆さん英語圏の方でした。
序盤は緩やかなスピードでのんびりした雰囲気でしたが、
中盤から、スピードが速くなり、水しぶきにキャーキャー。
ＢＧＭも大音量になって、皆のテンションも上がります。
遠くでしたが、クジラを見れて感動しました。
沖の方で、船員さんが魚にエサをあげます。
黒い魚ばかりでしたがたくさん集まってきました。
服装は、水着の人もいれば、Ｔシャツに短パンの人もいました。
手頃な値段だし、参加してみてもいいと思います。
まさに爽快です。

I participated with a friend.
This was the cheapest morning course, which didn't include breakfast.
Shortly after boarding the boat, we were able to see a whale's tail just once. After that, they didn't appear much, and my friend and I were talking about how it was nice to enjoy the beautiful sea and the scenery of Oahu, even if it was cheap. Then, towards the end, we were able to see many whales.
I was so focused on watching that I couldn't take good photos, but it was truly moving to see the whales.
Also, the sea is beautiful, so just cruising is really enjoyable.
Next time, I want to save money and try a dinner cruise as well.

友人と２人で参加しました。
ブレックファーストも付いていない、一番安い午前のコースです。
船に乗ってから割とすぐに、１度だけクジラの尾ひれを見ることができました。その後は、なかなか現れてくれず、友人とも、まぁ安かったしクルージングできれいな海やオアフ島の様子を見られるだけでも気持ちいいし良かったよねと話していたら、最後らへんでたくさん姿を見せてくれました。
見るのに必死で写真はうまく取れませんでしたが、クジラの姿を見られた時は感動しますよ。
また、海がきれいなので、クルージングするだけでも本当に気持ちいいです。
今度はお金をためて、ディナークルージングにも参加してみたいなと思います。

The weather wasn't very good, but seeing the whales made for an amazing memory. I would like to participate again next time.

天気は、あまり良くなかったですが、クジラも見れて最高の思い出になりました。

I'm glad I was able to make effective use of my time from the morning. I was able to see whales up close several times.
The information on the website regarding whether meals are included is unclear.
Also, while the meal upgrades are a bit pricey, they are within an acceptable range.

朝から時間を有効活用できてよかった。クジラも近くで何度か見ることができた。
食事付きかどうかなど、ホームページの表記がわかりにくい。
また、食事のアップデートは割高だが、許容範囲。

There are various menus available, and even during the bright red sunset from land, sea, and sky, the sunset from the sea evokes an exhilarating reaction regardless of age. The pricing, crew, number of tour participants, and of course, the handsome captain provided truly delightful service tailored for singles, couples, and families. About one-third of the tour participants were Japanese, but after departure, everyone formed a group. The hosts were wonderful, and coincidentally, we were on the same boat as the currently popular couple, Yuya Uchida and Kiki Kuroki, which added to the sense of quality. I would love to ride the same catamaran with the same crew next time.

色々なメニューが有ります、陸海空からの真っ赤なサンセット中でも海からのサンセットは年齢に関わらず感激の奇声を発してしまいます、価格、クルー、ツアーの人数、キャプテンは無論イケメンコンビは、シングル、カップル、ファミリーへの肌理細やかなサービスには誠に楽しいものでした、ツアーの日本人は三分の一位でしたが，出航後は全員がグループ化していました素晴らしいホストでもありました、又当日は偶然にも今話題の内田裕也、樹希樹林夫妻と同船で、グレード感も感じました、次回も同じクルーのカタマラン号に乗りたいたいと思います。

I decided to participate in whale watching since it was only available during the winter season. I opted for the transportation service, which made getting around easy. I was torn between taking a small boat, but I chose this larger boat because I was worried about seasickness. In reality, the waves were quite high, so I think it’s better for those who are prone to seasickness to choose this boat. I was able to see whales several times. However, since they weren't very close, it wasn't that moving. Still, the view from the sea was very beautiful, so I think it’s worth participating at least once.

ホエールウォッチングは、冬のシーズンだけということだったので参加してみました。
送迎付きにしたので移動が楽でした。
小さい船にするか迷ったのですが、船酔いが心配だったのでこちらの大きな船にしたのですが、実際結構波が高かったので、酔いやすい人はこの船にした方がいいと思います。
クジラは何度か見れました。ただ、間近ではないのでそんなに感動はしませんでした。でも、海からの景色もとてもきれいだったので、一度参加してみるのもいいかなと思います。

It was disappointing that I couldn't see it very clearly.

This was my first time participating, and I had the chance to see whales about three times. The captain announces the direction to look for them, but since the ship's viewing area isn't structured for a full circle, if you're too far forward and a whale appears on the opposite side, it might be gone by the time you move across the ship. To avoid missing a fleeting opportunity, it might be safer to stay around the center. The whales appear small and distant, surfacing only briefly, so capturing a photo can be quite challenging.

Also, just before returning to the port, the ship unexpectedly stopped, and we were about 45 minutes late. There was no announcement explaining why we were stopped, so I spent that time not really knowing what was going on.

初めて参加しましたが、クジラは３回ほど見るチャンスがありました。
船長さんがアナウンスで何時の方向に見えるか教えてくれますが、船の展望スペースは一周できる構造になっていないため、あまり船の先頭にいると、反対側にクジラが現れた場合船内を移動している間にいなくなってしまいます。一瞬のチャンスを逃さないためにも中央らへんにいるのが安全かもしれません。クジラは遠くの方に小さく見えるだけで、海面に一瞬現れるくらいなので写真に収めるのもなかなか難しいです。
また、港に戻る手前でなぜか船が止まってしまい４５分程オーバーしました。なぜ止まっているのか船内アナウンスはなく、よく分からないまま暇な時間を過ごしました。
