I experienced this with my son. The explanations were in English, but they spoke slowly and clearly, so I had no worries. The wind was stronger and colder than I expected, so I think it's better to bring long sleeves. Both the conversation and the horseback riding were very enjoyable, and I would like to participate again.

I was a bit anxious about my first horseback riding experience with only an English guide, but the bright and friendly Jackie and her team guided us with kindness. They spoke slowly in English while mixing in some Japanese words like "stand" and "kick," which made me feel very relaxed and enjoy the experience.

The two and a half hours of horseback riding flew by, and the view overlooking the magnificent ranch and the ocean was breathtaking. If I go to the Big Island, I definitely want to visit again.

No hate on other tour places and I def seen a few but the tour guides, the views and the experience is def #1 on this tour. I did a lot of extensive research and finalized this tour but it definitely exceeded my expectations. The views they take you on are incredible. I mean you will probably never see anything like it on any other tour. We actually seen another ATV tour on our ziplining adventure tour and I'm so glad I chose this one. Other tours are shorter and don't have the exciting adventure this one gives you. You are literally driving through a farm/valley/on the coast and then to a private water fall. You get fresh fruit picked off the trees guys its amazing Im telling you. If you are having trouble deciding I will decide for you THIS ONE IS IT! The tour guides gave us so much info, they were funny, gave us such a big history lesson and overall they just made this memorable. I wish i chose this company for my ziplining adventure as well. But you live and learn. Overall had a blast and def recommend. Also: Not to far from Kona and the views on the drive here are amazing.

I participated in the 1.5-hour plan. My 15-year-old daughter, who is a bit scared and has only experienced about 10 minutes of horseback riding in Japan with an attendant, enjoyed this tour and seemed to gain confidence riding on her own. We were very satisfied with the wonderful scenery of the Kohala Coast, the Hawaiian blue sky and sea spread out before us, and the faint view of Maui Island in the distance.

The entrance can be a bit hard to find by car, so I think it's a good idea to check it on Google Maps while heading there.

I have always been interested in horseback riding on the Big Island, but I couldn't find the right timing due to sightseeing at the beach and Kilauea. However, I finally got to try horseback riding.

The weather was excellent that day, especially towards Kohala Ranch, creating perfect conditions. I was a bit worried, but there were Japanese instructions available, so there were no issues at all.

First, the staff provided an explanation, and I learned about the riding posture and how to control the horse. They helped me choose a horse based on my physique, and then I let the horse take the lead. The horses were very well-trained, and I was able to have my first horseback riding experience without any problems. The experience course lasted 1.5 hours, but I ended up riding for about 2 hours.

The majestic nature and stunning scenery were addictive. Reservations were also easy to make before the trip. Thank you for a wonderful time.

There was a young boy among the customers who was scared and crying, but the staff stayed with him, and he was able to ride without any trouble at all.

お客さんの中で怖くて泣いている小学生の男の子がいましたが、スタッフがつきっきりで乗馬されてましたが、全くトラブルなく乗馬できておりました。

This was my second experience. Just like the first time, the 2.5-hour tour with the wonderful scenery and unique horses was a very enjoyable time. The guide only speaks English, but they communicate very clearly and understandably. They are very friendly and lovely people. I think it's a rare experience in Japan to be able to participate in such a long course as a beginner in horseback riding. There is an initial explanation on handling the horses, but since the horses are very smart and accustomed to the course, I felt there would be no problem if I left it to them. I would like to visit again.

All the horses were very gentle, and riding in the beautiful, vast ranch was enjoyable. Since the wind is strong, it can get chilly even if it's hot, so I think it's a good idea to borrow a riding jacket and wrap it around your waist. Be sure to let your guide know when you want to put on or take off your jacket or windbreaker, and do this while the guide is holding the horse's reins.

Jackie, our guide, explained how to ride in very clear, slow, and polite English, which was great! Thanks to that, my 15-year-old child was able to enjoy it safely. We rode a somewhat lazy horse (who kept munching on grass), but thanks to Bridget, our guide's advice, we didn't spend all our time eating grass.

It's best to leave valuables in the car. The parking space is just before you can see the reception building. If you're worried about leaving things in the car, you can also have them stored in the reception office.

When we got off the horse, it nuzzled against me, and it was so, so cute! Thank you for a wonderful experience! I want to go again.

風が強いので暑くても途中から冷えてきますが、乗馬ジャケットを貸してくれるので腰に巻いておくと良いかと思います。ジャケットやウインドブレーカーは必ずガイドさんに一声かけて、ガイドさんが馬の手綱を握ってくれている状態で着脱します。
ガイドのジャッキーさんの乗り方の説明が、わかり易くゆっくりと丁寧な英語で話してくれたのでとても良かったです！おかげで、15才の子供も安全に楽しむことができました。私たちはちょっとlazyな（すぐに草を喰む）馬に乗りましたが、ガイドのブリジットさんのアドバイスのおかげで草を食べてばかりという事も無かったです。
貴重品類は基本的に車に置いてくるのが良いです。受付棟が見える少し手前が駐車スペースです。車に置くのが心配な場合には、受付の事務室でも預かってくれます。

I had a really fun time, sometimes trotting and sometimes slowly herding cattle in the magnificent scenery.

It seems that horses have various personalities; there were horses that could walk almost automatically for children, while adults had to give proper instructions, and larger horses for well-built foreigners. There were a total of 10 participants, and they selected horses that suited each person, explaining, "This horse is..." when it was time to ride.

The explanations were in English, but they spoke slowly for the Japanese participants, so it was relatively easy to understand (the difference in speaking speed for native speakers was quite noticeable, haha). However, if it's your first time riding, it might be tough if you can't understand and speak English well.

雄大な景色の中、時に駈歩したり、牛を追ったり(ゆっくり)、すごく楽しい時間を過ごせました。
馬は、色々性格があるらしく、子供にはほぼ自動運転で歩ける子、ちゃんと指示出さないといけない子には大人、体格のいい外国の方には大きな子…と合計10名の参加でしたが、それぞれに合わせた馬を選択してくれ、乗る時に「この子は…」説明してくれました。

We had a great time as a family and would highly recommend this group. The guides are amazing!! Henry, Keanu and the others are so kind, positive and tell great stories. Our Kids ages15 and 12 throughly enjoyed it and kept saying “again”…. When going through bumpy, rocky areas. The UTV’s are in great shape and have great suspension (doesn’t mean you won’t feel the bumps). We felt safe the entire time. We would recommend to anyone wishing to have a great outdoor family adventure.

Totally awesome experience w professional zippers who keep safety first but make it super fun!! I embraced the challenge of the bridges to help me w my fear of high edges. Curtis and Eli , our guides, are very knowledgeable of Hawaii , and some hidden gems to visit!

I had a great time horseback riding at Kualoa Ranch on Oahu, so I decided to try it again this time. Kualoa is quite touristy, and I felt comfortable using their services even though I don't understand English, but there was no one who spoke Japanese here, which made me a bit anxious and dizzy on the horse. However, the staff were enthusiastic and warm, so I was able to get through safely.

The horses are smart, so I mostly just had to sit there, but going downhill was a bit scary, and I tensed up, resulting in knee pain by the end. During the ride, we were told to put our water and phones in a special bag for safety. Also, since the wind was chilly, it was necessary to wear something over our clothes. I participated in a windbreaker, long pants, and sneakers.

It seemed that wearing a helmet was at my own risk, but I borrowed one. Hats can get blown away by the wind, startling both me and the horse, so wearing a helmet was the right choice. This time, I couldn't fully enjoy the magnificent scenery due to my nervousness and not understanding the instructions, but I definitely want to participate again. The photos taken by the staff along the way were wonderful and became great memories.

オアフ島のクアロア牧場での乗馬が楽しかったので今回挑戦しました。
クアロアは観光化されていて英語がわからなくても安心して利用できましたが、こちらは日本語が話せる方はいなかったので不安のあまり馬の上でくらくらしました。しかしスタッフの方が熱心で温かくフォローしてくださったのでなんとか安全に過ごすことができました。
馬が賢いのでほとんど乗っているだけで大丈夫でしたが、下りは少し怖くて力が入り、終了時は膝が痛かったです。
乗馬時は危険防止のため、水と携帯は専用のバッグにいれるように言われました。また、風がつめたいので、羽織るものも必要です。ウインドブレーカーに長ズボン、スニーカーで参加しました。
ヘルメットは自己責任らしかったでが、私はお借りしました。帽子は風で飛ばされて自分も馬もおどろくので、ヘルメットで正解でした。今回は説明がわからず、緊張したため雄大な景色を堪能できませんでしたが、もう一度ぜひ参加したいです。途中でスタッフの方が撮ってくださった写真は素晴らしく、とてもよい思い出になりました。

The guides were very animated and well versed with history. My husband was so impressed with the Honda machinery. We even saw wild pigs which was a favorite impromptu thing that happened. Well organized and seemed very safe. We got dustier than I expected but that was me being naive. Follow their instruction on what to bring and no worries. You will get dirty. We didn't get muddy but maybe if it was wetter we would have. We loved it and highly recommend this group.

Crew was fun and personable. They had good stories to tell. Awesome scenery. Beautiful day with rain showers. Bumpy ride. Be prepared to get wet and dirty. The dust goes thru clothes! But they will blow it off you after the tour if you want and provide wet clothes to clean your face. We saw unbranded cows, mongoose and wild pigs. Wish it was longer and slower to enjoy the scenery, but I was a passenger and not the driver lol!

12000 acres of beauty. The guides are super nice funny and allow you to trot or chill how you please. Not a boring nose to tail ride it was fun to go fast a few times and let the horses do their thing while seeing all the other animals. Definitely bring a jacket (or they have some), close toed shoes and jeans super cold and windy up there. Loved it!

My first horseback riding experience was very satisfying. Unfortunately, it was drizzling, and the water dripping from the borrowed raincoat soaked my pants, but I thoroughly enjoyed the beautiful scenery.

There were two families from the mainland, with a total of 10 participants, and two instructors leading us. The well-trained horses sometimes didn't listen and grazed freely, and at times they picked up speed, which was a bit troublesome. However, looking back, it was all part of the charm and became a topic of conversation for family bonding.

Everything felt very safe, the instruction on safety and vehicle operation was effective and efficient, and we had a blast. The guides were wonderful, too.There are opportunities to switch drivers a few different spots, so we both had a turn at the wheel. Some gorgeous photo opportunities. Lots of kids were along, and they seemed to have a great time as well. We scared a bunch of feral pigs and chased some cows off the trail - who didn't seem to mind at all. One of the high points of our Hawaii trip.

Best Activity on the Island

This was probably hands-down the most fun we've had on a trip. We had excellent guides- Henry and Jerry. Everyone from our driver to the riders made the trip super enjoyable. We saw amazing waterfalls along the northern side of the island cliffs. We worked with the wildlife as they allowed us into their grazing areas. This is a must do. Yes you will get dirty and you will enjoy it!

The adventure was awesome! We had a blast even in the rain! Our kids were amazing and made it so fun!! I think you should add a lunch experience at the picnic tables. Our ride was at 12:30 and it was 2.5 hours and we hadn’t had lunch so that addition would be great!

The best every! If you're looking for great family adventure, look no further. No matter what your experience level, they'll adjust to your comfort. You'll see places that you just can't see from a road and they're so excited about sharing their culture it contagious! If we didn't have to go home we'd would have booked it again. The guides are so friendly it's amazing! Can't say enough about turn. Take your family, friend, or who ever and have a great time learning and seeing this great place.
