On the day of the event, it was a bit chilly with cloudy skies and some wind, but riding horses in the open scenery of the highlands was very enjoyable and became a memorable experience. The staff provided thorough guidance, allowing us to participate with peace of mind. There were also opportunities to speed up and run a couple of times, which was great because it added a bit of active fun to the leisurely riding. The time spent riding through the vast Kohala Coast ranch felt extraordinary and was very soothing.

We went out with four people and two ATVs. The scenery was very diverse and beautiful from farmland with cows to force and waterfalls. Great view of the seven valleys. The course was also great and the guides were super helpful and very chill. Highly recommend.

This is a great tour to see sights that you wouldn't otherwise get to see on your visit to the Big Island. We rode through the forest and on the coastline, getting to see amazing views. The tour guides, Nato and Henry, were amazing and had so much knowledge about Kohala and Hawaiian history. This tour educated us on other areas that we ended up going to visit during our trip.

I have had a few horseback riding experiences on Oahu, but they were just walking tours. Here, we were able to trot a bit in a safe, spacious area. If you're scared, it's perfectly fine to just walk. You can still enjoy it. Other tours had 3-hour courses, but I think this 1.5-hour option is the best time since my backside would start to hurt.

One downside was that it took a while for the toilet tank to fill up because there was only one pipe available.

I participate in the same tour almost every year! I've also gone horseback riding on Oahu, but the Big Island is definitely more enjoyable! Since it's up in the mountains, the weather is often bad, but this year it was clear and perfect. You rarely get to experience such refreshing 90 minutes. No matter how many times I participate, I always want to ride again next year. I highly recommend it to everyone!♡

The horses were beautiful and cute, and the female guide was very friendly, speaking slowly and kindly, which made it a lot of fun. I participated again this year, just like last year. It was truly enjoyable, just like before. There were also flush toilets, and they had a good selection of rental items like windbreakers, which was helpful. Additionally, the pet dogs and cats were unbelievably friendly, and they brought me a lot of comfort.

There were 10 participants and 2 instructors. They were kind and friendly, but everything was in English. However, it was manageable. The atmosphere, gestures, and finally mimicking everyone worked out fine. It was truly a fun time. I will definitely go again, of course as an individual participant!

I received a message the day before that the event might be canceled, and I was waiting for a notification on the day itself, but there was none. Somehow, I managed to get to the location with the rental car, but it was a bit hard to find.

With all that, I was feeling dissatisfied and anxious until it started, but once the horseback riding began, it was incredibly fun! The horses are just so smart. Since the altitude is high, it rained on some parts of the course, and there were muddy spots, but they walked very well.

The rain-soaked grasslands looked beautiful. In the midst of all this, a family of wild pigs, about ten of them, crossed the path like a scene from a movie. The two and a half hours flew by. It was truly a wonderful experience. I really want to go again!

そんな中を映画の一コマみたいに野生の豚の親子が10匹程で横断します。2時間半があっという間にです。本当に素晴らしい体験でした。。

Great pre-excusion communication. All personnel were helpful and friendly. We were fortunate to be a small group overall with the team in the lead and rear vehicles and only us tourists in 3 vehicles. Our only issue was it seemed like the goal was to drive as fast as possible - we were constantly behind (not as comfortable with the speed) and we sometimes lost site of the vehicle in front. Even with tring to look for their dust trail, it was stressful. They did stop when there was a turn so we could catch up, and we knew there was a guide behind us. Still recommend!

You can enjoy a horseback riding experience in the wonderfully beautiful nature shown in the photos. The horses are all gentle and well-trained, and even as a beginner, I had a great time riding.
There are Japanese versions of the notices and forms available on-site.
The guide speaks only in English, but they talk very slowly and clearly.
Wearing a helmet while riding is optional, but it's best to wear one.
The ranch is located at an altitude of about 1000 meters, and it can get quite cold when the wind blows or it rains. They can lend you a jacket, but make sure to prepare for the cold as well.

I think Japanese visitors might get confused during the initial check-in. This is because the parking gate is closed, and you have to open it yourself and close it again. There is no guidance for this.

初心者でもレベルに合わせ、他の参加者と一緒に体験できます。1時間以上、コハラ山・丘を海を見ながら、そして馬と話しながらゆっくりと乗馬します。本当に楽しいです。
