I used this service on August 3rd for my honeymoon. While I was excited to swim with the dolphins, I also had some fear about the ocean. Thanks to the thorough explanations about ocean safety and how to enjoy it, I was able to overcome my fears and have a great time! On the way to meet the dolphins, I also encountered manta rays, and I was able to see over 200 dolphins! It was truly exhilarating! Thank you for the wonderful memories! I will definitely participate again! *\(^o^)/*

It was my first dolphin tour on the Big Island. I had tried three times on Oahu, but I wasn't lucky with the weather, so this was my fourth attempt!

It was absolutely amazing!! From the moment we got in, we could see dolphins up close! Even without searching hard, dolphins were swimming nearby, and it was so moving! I could hear their sounds the whole time!

Compared to Oahu, the travel time on the boat was shorter, and we didn't have to get on and off the boat multiple times. Dolphins kept coming to the same spot, so it felt like we could see them the whole time we were swimming.

Even if you're not a strong swimmer, they lend you a noodle, and the guide, Daisuke, pulls you to the dolphins, so it's very reassuring! Daisuke's dolphin talks during the car ride were also a lot of fun and really added to the tour! (By a strange twist of fate, he even shared some local stories!)

I definitely want to go back to the Big Island for this tour again! Thank you, Captain and Daisuke!!

ハワイ島での初めてのイルカツアーでした。
これまでオアフ島で３回チャレンジしましたが、
なかなか良い日に恵まれず、今回４度目のリベンジ！

とにかくすごかったですっ！！
入った瞬間から間近にイルカが見れました！
その後も必死に探さなくてもすぐにイルカが近くに泳いでいて、感動しきりでした！
イルカの声もずっと聞こえていました！

オアフ島に比べ、船に乗って移動する時間も短く、
何度も船を乗り降りしなくても、同じ場所でどんどんイルカがやって来てくれたので、
泳いでいる間ずっと見れたという感じです。

泳ぎが苦手でもヌードルを貸してもらえますし、
ガイドのダイスケさんがイルカの所まで引っ張って行ってくれるので安心です！
行き帰りの車の中でのダイスケさんのイルカトークもとっても楽しく、
ツアーを盛り上げてくれました！
（不思議な縁で、地元のローカルネタもしゃべれました☆）

このツアーのために、またぜひ！！ハワイ島に行きたいです！

My sister and I did the sea kayaking adventure our second day here, and we had a blast! It's about and hour out and an hour back, so be prepared to do some paddling, but well worth what's waiting for you at the end. Our guide showed us the sea caves, and let us take a dip in the most remote part of the world (think about it, no joke) and then took us to a small cove where we anchored to snorkel. Saw so many different fish, all different shapes and colors, and the water is crystal clear. After we had snacks on the lava rocks surrounding the cove and a few in the group tried their hand a cliff jumping (not for me, but very safe and looked like fun). HIGHLY recommend doing is excursion. One tip, bring water shoes! you can do it without but it would have been easier with. The guides, Angus and Dana, were awesome! Really fun and very knowledgeable. Mahalo guys!

I made a reservation for a course on July 20, 2013, at 8:30 AM. I participated with my husband, my daughter who is in high school, and my son who is in elementary school. I was quite anxious! Although I had been on a horse before, it was at a ranch in Japan where the ranch staff held the reins and we just rode around a designated area, so I was worried if we could ride here too.

The horse was quite tall, easily exceeding my height of 154 cm, and seemed to be about 175 cm. Once I finally got on, the view was different. At first, I was scared, but as I rode, I became completely okay with it. The horse was very calm and listened to us well. I was taught how to guide the horse with commands like stop, go, right, and left. Two young ladies accompanied us, one at the front and one at the back, with our family in the middle. They spoke English, but I was able to understand everything, so please don't worry.

The ranch on the Big Island of Hawaii is not flat like in Japan, so it was interesting with hills and valleys. It's better to speak to the horse in English for better understanding! For example, "thank you" translates to "THANK YOU," and "good" can be used for phrases like "it's okay" or "good job."

私、主人、高1の娘、小6の息子で参加しました。結構不安でした！馬になったことはあってもそれは日本の牧場で馬の手綱を牧場の人が持って私たちは乗ってるだけで、一定の場所を1周するという感じだったので、こんな私たちでも乗れるのか不安だったのです。
馬の背は高く私の身長（154cm)を優に超えて175cmあったようでした。そこにやっと乗ると景色が違いました。最初は怖かったですが、乗っているうちに全然Ｏｋになりました。馬も全然おとなしくてゆうことをきいてくれていました。止まれ！進め！右！左！の馬の誘導の仕方は教えていただけました。2人のお姉さんが先頭と最後尾についてくれて私たち家族を真ん中にして進みました。お姉さんたちは英語でしたが、全然理解ができましたので、ご安心ください。
ハワイ島の牧場は日本のように平ではないので山あり谷ありで面白かったですよ。
馬に対しては英語で話しかけた方が理解してくれますよ！ありがとう→THANK YOU,いいよとかよしよしとか→GOODという感じです。

We participated as a couple in our 40s, with a child and my mother in her 70s who cannot speak English. The boat has two levels; the first floor has shaded areas and tables, but all the seats were "reserved," making it difficult to find a place to sit. We were the only Japanese family, and all announcements were in English. There was one men's restroom, one women's restroom, and one unisex restroom.

When we first arrived, there was a small breakfast buffet with about two types of muffin-like bread and fruit. Water, coffee, and soft drinks were free, but alcohol cost extra.

Right after departure, we were able to see a pod of dolphins swimming quite close to us, which was thrilling. There were no sea turtles, but flying fish were gliding through the air like birds, which was exciting! Upon reaching the snorkeling point, everyone gathered on the first floor for a detailed safety briefing about the snorkeling area. There seemed to be a class for those snorkeling for the first time. Unlike Japanese snorkeling tours, there was no selection of fins or goggles; it was self-service. Most people swam without lifeguards, so the number of lifeguards was limited, but there were long styrofoam rods that everyone seemed to hold onto while swimming.

For lunch, there was a buffet with bread, hamburgers, vegetables, and fruits, where we could take our favorite ingredients and make our own sandwiches. It was very delicious under the blue sky.

I thought we would arrive at the port by 12:30, but that was actually the end time for snorkeling. The water temperature was not too low, and the sea was deep, allowing us to see many fish. On the way back to the port, we were thrilled to see another pod of dolphins. The foreign participants were friendly and approachable, and I was particularly surprised that the customers were kind to my mother, who was flustered and unable to speak English, offering her their place in line. I thought this aspect of foreign culture was truly wonderful. By the way, my elderly mother stayed on the boat without swimming, but she said she had a great time without any worries.

After the tour, there were many small shops like stalls at the port, and I unexpectedly bought a Kona coffee bag that I had wanted for a long time, which was a nice bonus. I was filled with anxiety before signing up, but I would love to participate again.

40代夫婦、子供、70代英会話できない母親と参加。船は1階と2階があり、1階は日よけスペースとテーブルつきの席がありますが、どれも「reserved」で座れず、席を確保するのが大変でした。日本人家族は私たちだけ、アナウンスは全部英語です。トイレは男性用1、女性用1、男女兼用1でした。まず最初に行くと、朝食バイキング(小規模)をやっています。マフィンのようなパン2種程とフルーツ等。水、コーヒー、ソフトドリンクは無料。アルコールはお金がかかります。
出発してすぐにドルフィンの群れを見る事ができました。かなり近くまで泳いできてくれて感激。ウミガメはいませんでした。でもトビウオが鳥みたいにスイスイ飛んでいて感激！ポイントに到着し、全員1階に集合して、シュノーケルで泳いでいいエリア、安全確認の綿密な説明を受けます。シュノーケル初めての人のための教室もあったようです。日本のシュノーケルツアーのようにフィンやゴーグルを選んでくれることもなくセルフサービスです。ほとんとの人がライフセーバーなしで泳ぐので、ライフセーバーの数も限られていますが、ライフセーバーの代わりに細長いスチロール棒があり、これにつかまって皆泳いでいたようです。
ランチは、パン、ハンバーグ、野菜、果物などがバイキング形式に並んでいて、好きな具を自分で取ってはさんで食べる方式でした。青い空の下、とてもおいしいお味でした。
12時半に港に着くのかと思っていたら、シュノーケル終了が12時半でした。水温もそれほど低くなく、海が深くてたくさんの魚を見る事ができました。港に戻る途中、またイルカの群れを見る事ができて感激しました。参加している外国の人たちも、気さくに声をかけてくださったり、特に驚いたのは、英語が全然できなくておろおろしている母に、お客さん達が優しく接してくださり順番を譲ってくださったりしたことです。こういった外国の文化は本当に素晴らしいと思いました。ちなみに高齢の母は、泳がずにずっと船の上にいましたが、気兼ねなく楽しかったと話していました。ツアーが終わって、港の停泊所にはたくさんの屋台？のような小物のお店が軒を連ねていて、以前から欲しかったコナコーヒーのバッグを思いがけず購入することができ、二度特でした。申し込む前は不安でいっぱいでしたが、また参加したいです。

What impressed me the most was the thoughtfulness of Captain and the swim supporter, Daisuke, towards the participants. Their humorous orientation and the way they interacted on the boat created a relaxed and comfortable atmosphere for the entire tour group. It was a tour that clearly conveyed their desire to prioritize customer satisfaction. Perhaps it was also because we were all Japanese.

Now, regarding the dolphins, we spotted a pod just three minutes after departing from the harbor and quickly dropped in. We were able to see many dolphins up close. We chased the pod multiple times, dropping in ahead of them repeatedly, enjoying dolphin watching countless times. While on the boat, we also got to see adorable baby dolphins (the size of skipjack tuna) performing spin jumps, and we truly had a wonderful time surrounded by dolphins.

Meeting the dolphins greatly enhanced our satisfaction, but above all, it was the friendly and kind nature of Captain and Daisuke that filled our hearts during the tour. Thank you very much. It was fun.

最も印象に残ったのは、キャプテンさん、スイムサポータ（ダイスケさん）の参加者への心遣いです。ユーモアを入れたオリエンテーションや船上での対応など、お二人のお人柄もあってツアー客全体が緊張感ほぐれリラックスした居心地の良い雰囲気になりました。随所にお客さんの満足を優先させたいという思いが伝わるツアーでした。日本人同士ということもあったのかもしれませんね。

さて肝心のイルカちゃんですが、船上、3分。ハーバーから出発した直後から群れを発見して早速、ドロップ。たくさんのイルカを間近に見ることができました。その後も何度となく群れを追いかけ、先回りしてはドロップを繰り返して数えることが出来ない回数、ドルフィンウォッチを楽しむことができました。また船上にいるときも、かわいい赤ちゃんイルカ（カツオサイズ）のスピンジャンプを見ることができたり、本当にイルカに囲まれた楽しい時間を過ごすことができました。

イルカと会えたことが満足度を引き上げましたが、何と言ってもキャプテン、ダイスケさんの気さくで優しいお人柄で心が満たされたツアーでした。ありがとうございました。楽しかったです。

We participated as a family of four!!

On that day, we were moved to encounter many dolphins. Above all, the staff's response was wonderful. My child was afraid to swim, but Captain and Daisuke persuaded them, and we managed to get in the water.

Now, my child talks about dolphins every day. Even for those who can't swim, Daisuke will pull and guide you, and it was touching to see the dolphins playing with Daisuke.

They also sell DVDs and will ship them to Japan. I was so moved that I couldn't stop crying. We will definitely come back, so please take care of us again.

Captain, Solomon's flow was perfectly captured too (laughs).

I highly recommend this to everyone when you come to the Big Island!

私たちは家族４人で参加しました！！

その日は多くのイルカ達に出会えて感動しました。
何よりもスタッフの対応が素晴らしく子供が泳ぐのを恐れていましたがキャプテンやダイスケさんが説得して何とか入る事が出来ました。

今では毎日イルカの事ばかり子供は話しています。
泳げない方でもダイスケさんが引っ張って誘導しますし、イルカとダイスケ君が遊んでいる姿は感動しました。

DVDの方も販売していて日本まで発送してくれます。
凄く感動して涙が止まりませんでした。また遊びに来るので是非宜しくお願いします。

キャプテン、ソロモン流もバッチリ映ってましたよ（笑）

Very good trip, totally worth it compared to doing it on your own. We had a 5yo and a 8yo and it was no problem. They really enjoyed the snorkeling (they had both snorkeled and been in kayaks before). The guides pointed out lots of interesting things including lava tubes and eels catching crabs in tide pools near the lunch point.

We were the only Japanese family. I forgot to contact them the day before, but it was totally fine. The ups and downs were intense, and I was desperately holding onto the boat, terrified of being thrown off. It's not suitable for those with back problems. There was a 1-2 minute break along the way, but the trip there was much longer and quite tough compared to the return. Shorter people especially had a hard time, so it's better to sit towards the back, but the foreigners had already boarded first. I got really seasick on the way there. Since no one spoke Japanese, I couldn't express my discomfort even if I felt unwell. There were no restrooms, and we couldn't get to shore. The boat was narrow and in the blazing sun without any shade, which might be tough for those on their period. You can leave your luggage behind.

Snorkeling was a lot of fun, and the female guide was very kind and helpful. There were only a few fish, but I saw an eel. A mother and baby dolphin were also swimming around the boat. The snorkeling time was about an hour. On the way back, they served fruit and drinks. It was a nearby place accessible by car, so I think individuals could go there too. There were also other tours that came by car. On the way back, they took us to see caves that can only be viewed from the boat (just a quick look), which was nice.

It was a valuable experience, so I had a decent amount of fun, but I don't want to participate again (laughs). I think the American atmosphere with mostly foreigners is enjoyable, so if you're energetic, go for it!

日本人は私たち家族だけだった。前の日に連絡を忘れたけど全然ＯＫでした。
アップダウンが激しくとにかくボートに必死につかまっていないと振り落とされる恐怖で必死。腰の悪い人は無理。
途中で１～２分休憩が入るけど、行きの時間は帰りより長くかなりきつかった。
背の小さい人はとくに大変なので、なるべく後ろの場所に座るといいけど外国人勢がすでに先に乗っていた。
行きで船酔いがひどくなった。
日本語は全く通じないので体調が悪くても訴える余裕はなかった。トイレもないし岸に上がることもできない。ボートは狭く日陰のない炎天下なので生理中の人には厳しいかも。手荷物は置いておけます。
シュノーケリングはとても楽しかったし、ガイドの女性もとても優しく親切な方でした。
魚はほんの少し。ウツボが見れた。イルカの親子もボートの周りを泳いでいました。シュノーケリングの時間は１時間ほど。帰りはフルーツ、ドリンクのサービス。
車でも行ける近場の場所だったので個人でも行けると思った。他にも車で来ているツアーもありました。
帰りはボートでしか見れない洞窟などに（ちょっと見るだけ）連れていってくれたのでそれは良かったです。
貴重な体験だったのでまぁそれなりに楽しかったけど、私はもう二度と参加したくないです（笑）
外人ばかりでアメリカンな雰囲気が楽しいとは思うので元気な人はどうぞ！

IT WAS THE BEST HELICOPTER TOUR WE HAVE BEEN ON, (OUR 3RD ONE)
THE POILOT NEW WHAT HE WAS LOOKING FOR AND MADE SURE WE SAW WHAT WE CAME FOR. THE DOORS OFF WAS MORE FUN THAN WE HAD THOUGHT WE LOVED IT!

We participated as a family. We took a taxi to the ranch. It took about an hour by car from the Hilton where we were staying (it might take longer if you're not familiar with the roads), costing around $100. Our family of three joined a group of four young foreigners, and we had two female guides. Excluding the safety instructions and equipment explanations, we had a full two hours of riding time. The guides spoke broken Japanese, but there were no issues. The horses were very gentle and seemed to remember the path on their own, so they moved forward just by riding them (though some cues were needed when they were slow). Those who wanted could canter, and my companion, despite being a beginner, managed to canter. It was said that there are some cold spots on the ranch, and the guides provided windbreakers for us. The guides, although speaking broken Japanese, were attentive to us, making for an enjoyable two hours. I booked the activity for the first time through Alan, and the process was smooth with no particular issues.

家族で参加しました。牧場まではタクシーを使いました。泊まっているヒルトンから車で飛ばして１時間（道に精通していなければ多分もっとかかります）、100ドルほどです。われわれ家族３人と外国人の若者グループ４人が参加して、ガイドの女性が２人つきました。注意事項や装備の説明を除いて乗っている時間はたっぷり２時間はありました。ガイドは片言の日本語ですが、問題はなかったです。馬は大変大人しく、自分で道を覚えており、乗っているだけで進んで行ってくれます〈遅い時は、多少の合図は必要です〉。希望者はキャンター（駆足）も可能で、連れは初心者にも関わらずキャンターをしてました。牧場内では寒くなる場所もあるそうで、ガイドがウインドブレーカーも用意してくれました。ガイドは日本語を片言ですが、われわれにも気を配ってくれて楽しい２時間でした。アランさんを通じて初めてアクティビティを予約しましたが、手続きはスムーズで特に問題はありませんでした。

I read experiences about the high encounter rate with dolphins and decided to book this tour. As the captain mentioned, the number of drops was higher than other tours, and I was able to see many more dolphins up close than I expected! Since I can't swim, Daisuke was there to help me, allowing me to see the dolphins really closely and listen to detailed explanations about their behavior, which made me very satisfied. Thank you for taking photos as well.

イルカとの遭遇率が高いという体験談を読み、こちらのツアーを申し込みました。キャプテンのおっしゃっていた通り、ドロップ数が他のツアーよりも多く、イルカを期待していた以上に沢山、そして間近に見ることができました！泳げない私にはダイスケさんがついて下さって本当に近くでイルカをみることができ、イルカの生態などの説明をしっかり聞くこともできて、大満足です。写真も撮ってくださり、ありがとうございました。

The manta rays drifting in the night sea were enchanting, but it was very cold and the waves were quite high. The snorkeling lasted about an hour, which was pretty exhausting. I had no energy at all due to the cold and seasickness. It was scary to try to return to the boat on my own after getting separated from the group in the night sea, so I recommend being in good health before participating.

とても寒いしけっこう波が高いです。
１時間ほどのシュノーケリングだったのでかなりしんどかった。
寒さと波酔いでまったく余裕がありませんでした。
夜の海で自力でグループから離れて船に戻るのは怖くてがんばりましたが、
体調を万全にしての参加をお勧めします。

This was such an amazing day. We Kayaked 2 hrs out and 2 hrs in. We cliff dove, snorkeled, found some cool shells. The guides were funny and educational (kudos) All I can say is it was the greatest day ever on our Hawaii vacation and would do it again if/when we come back. I TOTALLY recommend this tour place.

We had an amazing time. This is something every American should take part in at least once in their lives. It was hard to keep a dry eye and I don't cry and even my teen was moved. Thank you to all the enlisted and the ones who gave their lives. I feel honored to have been able to afford this trip. Thank you Veltra!

During my trip to the Big Island, I was considering snorkeling at Kealakekua Bay. There were several tour options for transportation (like sea kayaking or boat rides), but I decided to join this tour because I wanted to enjoy the journey itself and it had great reviews.

I was extremely satisfied! We traveled by rubber boat, which was thrilling with quite a bit of speed. It felt like being on a roller coaster, bouncing up and down with the waves. At first, I was scared when we suddenly picked up speed, but once I got used to it, the wind felt nice, and I enjoyed it like an attraction.

Snorkeling at Kealakekua Bay was also beautiful, with clear waters, magnificent coral reefs, and a variety of fish. After about an hour, when I was getting tired, we returned to the boat where drinks, snacks, fruits, and sandwiches were prepared, and they were delicious.

On the way back, we were shown caves and coves formed by lava, which can only be seen from the sea, making it a valuable experience. Additionally, we were lucky enough to encounter a pod of dolphins, and the boat stopped to give us time to enjoy watching the leaping dolphins. It was my first time seeing so many dolphins at once.

Overall, there was never a dull moment, and it became a wonderful memory. I highly recommend it.

As a note, the travel time on the rubber boat is quite long, and towels are not included in the tour, so I think it's a good idea to bring one for when you get back on the boat after snorkeling.

ハワイ島への旅行中にケアラケクア湾でのシュノーケリングをしようと考えていました。
移動手段としてはいくつかツアーがありましたが（シーカヤックや船での移動）、移動そのものでも楽しみたかったこと、口コミ評価も高かったことからこちらのツアーへの参加を決めました。
ところ、、大満足でした！
ゴムボートで移動するのですが、かなりスピードが出てスリリングです。ジェットコースターに乗っているような感覚で、波に揺られて上下にも激しく揺れます。はじめに急にスピードが出た時は怖かったですが、慣れれば風も気持ちよく、アトラクション気分で楽しめました。
ケアラケクア湾でのシュノーケリングも、透明な海に壮大なサンゴ礁に様々なお魚が住んでおり、とても美しかったです。１時間くらいでしょうか、疲れた頃にボートに戻るとドリンク・スナック・フルーツ・サンドイッチが用意されており、とても美味しかったです。
帰りは途中に溶岩でできた洞窟や入江を案内してくれますが、これは海からでないと見ることのできない風景なので、貴重な経験でした。
また、運良くイルカの群れに遭遇したところ、ボートを止めてゆっくり時間をとってくれたので、飛び跳ねるイルカを堪能しました。一度にあんなに沢山のイルカを見たのは初めてです。
全体を通して飽きる箇所がなく、とても良い思い出になりました。おすすめです。

注意点とすれば、ゴムボートに乗っての移動時間がかなり長いということとと、タオルはツアーに含まれていないので、シュノーケリングからボードにあがったときのために用意した方がいいと思います。

We really enjoyed ourselves on this cruise! the Captain and crew were friendly and the bay we snorkeled in was beautiful! This was our favorite activity during our stay. Cant think of anywhere we would rather be! Highly recommend this actiivity!

great snorkel- always worried about putting my ears in water. Alot of ear aches but realized didin't even have to stick head in water to much to see fish! Staff/guides were real helpful and had such an amazing time!Snorkel time went by too fast!

The general flow of this tour is dolphin watching → snorkeling → lunch → sightseeing along the coastline. With about 15 participants sitting on the edge of the boat, we moved through the ocean boldly, which was a bit nerve-wracking at first, but it felt great to travel while enjoying the view of the Big Island and the sea with the wind in our faces.

On the way to the snorkeling spot, we saw a lot of dolphins, and being able to see them up close was the highlight for me. The boat quickly maneuvered ahead of the direction the pod was moving, allowing us to see the dolphins up close, which I think is unique to this boat. I couldn't help but keep clicking the camera shutter.

When we started snorkeling, equipment was distributed and there was an explanation, but I hardly understood any English. Since we were the only Japanese participants, I was mimicking those around me to put on the gear, and it was helpful that other participants noticed and kindly gestured to point out important things. I was thrilled to see beautiful fish up close while snorkeling, but the seawater felt cold, so I returned to the boat early.

After that, drinks were served on the boat, and we enjoyed a leisurely time while having sandwiches along with snacks and fruits. On the way back, we admired various points along the coastline that had been eroded by the waves into strange shapes, but it was disappointing that we didn't enter any caves.

This tour is perfect for enjoying the waters of the Big Island, and I was satisfied with the thrilling experiences that are not commonly found in Japan, as well as the opportunity to experience Hawaii's nature from the sea.

このツアーのおおまかな流れは、イルカ鑑賞→シュノーケリング→ランチ→海岸線のスポット見学になります。
15人程度の参加者がボートのふちに腰掛けるスタイルで豪快に海を移動しますので始めは緊張しましたが、ハワイ島と海を眺めつつ風を受けながらの移動は気持ちがいいです。

シュノーケリングのポイントへ向かうまでにたくさんイルカがいて、間近で見れたのが一番嬉しかったです。群れの移動する方向にボートがいち早く先回りするので間近にイルカ見れるのはこのボートならではかと思います。ついカメラのシャッターを切り続けてしまいました。

シュノーケリングを始める際、道具が配られ説明がありますが英語がほとんどわかりません。さらに日本人は私たちだけのため周囲のまねをして道具を着けていると、注意する点があったらしく周りの参加者が気付いて身振りで親切に教えてくれたのには助けられました。
シュノーケリング中きれいな魚も間近で見れて嬉しかったですが、海水が冷たく感じられ早々とボートへ戻ってしまいました。

その後ボートの上でドリンクが配られスナックやフルーツなどもあるサンドイッチのランチを取りながらのんびりした時間を過ごします。
帰りは海岸線に沿って波に削られ奇妙な形をしたポイントなど各所をボートから眺めますが、洞窟には入ることが無くこちらは残念でした。

ハワイ島の海を楽しむのに最適なツアーで、日本ではあまり見掛けないスリリングな体験や海からハワイの自然を体感できる内容に満足しました。

At first, I only intended to sign up for the dolphin tour, but since they mentioned that we could see manta rays, I participated with some hesitation. I drove to the meeting place by rental car, but the map on the internet was a bit vague, so I got flustered trying to find the location. However, I received detailed instructions over the phone, so I arrived safely. You can check in at a spacious parking lot with public restrooms at Honokohau Harbor, which is a bit further in than the online map suggested. If you're going on your own, be careful. I stayed in Waikoloa, and it took about 30 minutes by car.

The fins, masks, and snorkels were relatively new, and since it was nighttime in the ocean, you can rent a wetsuit for $10. Many Japanese women are petite, so my wife, who is 154 cm tall, needed an XS size. I was used to the ocean, so I was fine with just a long-sleeve rash guard and wetsuit pants in July in Hawaii, but for those who aren't used to it, I think it's better to rent a wetsuit instead of bringing one, as it can be bulky.

It took about 20 minutes to reach the manta ray location. You can watch the sunset from the water, so I recommend it as a sunset cruise as well. Once the sun sets and it gets dark, the encounter with the manta rays begins.

Although it gets dark, participants don't swim around separately; instead, we all hold onto something like a floating raft and drift together on the water, which is reassuring. The raft has a spotlight, and manta rays come close to eat the plankton illuminated by it, so you can see them spinning and dancing right in front of you, over and over again. The photos I uploaded here were taken with a compact digital camera, and they come close enough to capture beautiful shots without needing a special camera.

Since you're floating while holding onto the raft, even those who usually don't get seasick might feel a bit queasy, so I recommend taking motion sickness medication. However, the experience is so moving that I absolutely recommend it. The dolphin tour is fun, but the emotional impact of seeing the manta rays might be even greater.

Lastly, the tour guide (sometimes a guy?) was very kind and spoke Japanese, always checking in with "Are you okay?" while we were on the water, which I found very reassuring.

最初は、イルカツアーだけ申し込むつもりでしたが、マンタが見られるということなので、半信半疑で参加しました。
集合場所へは、レンタカーで自力で行ったのですが、ネットに出ていた集合場所の地図が少しアバウトだったので場所がわからずに焦りました。でも、電話で丁寧に教えてもらえたので、無事到着。ネットの地図よりももう少し奥、ホノコハウハーバーの公衆トイレのある広々とした駐車場でチェックインできます。自分で行かれる方は要注意です。ワイコロアに泊まっていましたが、車で３０分でした。

フィンも、マスクも、シュノーケルも新しめの物ですし、夜の海ですから、ウエットスーツは１０ドルで借りられます。日本の女性は小柄な方が多いので、私の妻は身長１５４ｃｍでＸＳサイズでした。
私は、海には慣れていたので７月のハワイだし、長袖ラッシュガードとウエットパンツでＯＫでしたが、慣れていない方はウエットスーツを持参すると嵩張りますので、レンタルされると良いと思います。

マンタの場所までは、２０分位？で到着。その場で海の上から夕日が沈むのを眺められますので、サンセットクルーズ？としてもお勧めです。
夕日が沈んで、あたりが暗くなってきたら、いよいよマンタとの遭遇が始まります。

周囲は暗くなりますが、参加者がバラバラで泳ぐのではなく、海に浮かぶいかだのような物に捕まって、全員一緒に海上を漂うことになりますので安心です。
そのいかだにスポットライトがついていて、そこに照らされるプランクトンを食べるためにマンタが寄ってきますから、もうホントに目の前でマンタが何度も、何度も、何度もクルクルと回転してダンスを見せてくれますよ。
※その時撮影した写真がここにＵＰしたものです。特殊なカメラではなく、コンパクトデジカメで撮影してもこれだけ綺麗に撮れるほど近くに来てくれます。

イカダに捕まって浮かんだ状態ですから、船酔いしにくい人でも酔いやすいので、酔い止め薬は飲んでいったほうがいいと思いますが、それに勝る感動がありますので、絶対にお勧めです。イルカツアーも楽しいですけど、イルカよりも感動が大きいかもです。

最後に、ツアーガイドのお姉さん（時にはお兄さん？）は、日本語でとっても優しく対応してくれますし、海の上でも、いつも「大丈夫？」と気遣ってくれるので、とっても心強いと思います。

I might be able to meet a manta ray?? Just imagining it makes me excited, and that alone prompted me to sign up.

I started to wonder about the staff—who they would be and if they could speak Japanese. As the meeting time approached, I began to feel a bit anxious, but the person who came to pick me up was the very cheerful and bright Kouji, along with a captain who had a wonderful smile and was very kind, which put me at ease.

When we arrived at the point, we enjoyed the beautiful sunset for a while while putting on our masks and getting ready. The beauty of the sunset changed its expression moment by moment, making it hard to look away! It felt like the hustle and bustle of city life was being purified by the sunset, and my heart felt warm and enchanted!

Suppressing my eager feelings, I entered the sea! The night sea was colder and darker than I expected, but Kouji held my hand firmly and guided me safely to the boat for manta watching.

The manta rays were larger and more impressive than I had imagined, swimming around in front of me, spinning again and again! There were moments when I thought I would bump into them! They swam so close, spinning around right in front of me. In the end, the manta rays performed a welcoming dance for me countless times—maybe a dozen?

Unlike dolphins, manta rays love lively environments, so it's easy to tell when a tour has them. I wonder how many boats were floating in the sea? Among the countless tours, ours was a lucky one where the manta rays welcomed us first.

I am grateful that the experienced and skilled staff contributed to today's success. Whether we would see them or not was a binary outcome, but for us, who participated in this limited time as travelers, the staff's expertise led to an unforgettable experience!

If I want to see manta rays again, I would love to sign up for Manta University, and I highly recommend it to anyone planning to visit the Big Island!

笑顔が素敵でとても親切なキャプテンで一安心しました。

ポイントに着くと少しの間美しいサンセットを楽しみながらマスクを装着し準備を進めます。サンセットの美しさは刻々と表情を変え一瞬々目が離せません！
日頃暮らす都会の喧騒をサンセットに浄化してくれた様に心がほっこりうっとりします！

逸る気持ちを抑えて海に入ります！
夜の海は思ったより冷たくて暗いですがマンタをウオッチングするボートまではKoujiさんがしっかりと手を握って安心安全に誘導してくれます。

マンタは想像以上に多きくて大迫力
目の前をくるくる回転しながら何度も何度も泳いで行きます！
何度マンタとぶつかる！思った瞬間があったことでしょう～！？？
それ程目の前の近距離をくるくる回転しながら泳いで行きます。
結局マンタは十数回？数えられない程目の前で歓迎のダンスを魅せてくれました。

マンタはイルカと違って賑やかなのが大好きなのでマンタが来ているツアーはすぐ分かります。何艘の船が海に浮かんでいた事でしょうか？数えきれないツアーの数の中でも
私達のツアーはマンタが真っ先にお出迎えしてくれたラッキーなツアーになりました。

これも経験豊富な熟練されたスタッフの方々の感が今日の成果に繋がったと感謝しております。会えるか！会えないか？Oか１００どちらかしかない結果を体験する事になる訳ですが旅行者という限られた時間の中で参加する私達にとってはスタッフの手腕が運に繋がり忘れられない素敵な時間を過ごせた事に感謝いたしております！

This was the last activity we did after spending 8 days in Hawaii. By far my favorite! Our guides were knowledgeable, fun, and entertaining. This was my first time riding horseback, and I felt comfortable the whole time. I would recommend for anybody - families, couples, individuals. Had a great time!!

We were the only Japanese participants, and the tour was entirely in English. However, they explained everything slowly and clearly, which was very kind of them. I imagined we would only kayak a little and do some snorkeling, but we actually kayaked quite a bit and went far. It's not really recommended for those who lack stamina. But for active people like us, it was the perfect tour! It was so much fun!! We crossed beautiful seas and went right up to the cave, which was thrilling! For those who are brave, they also take you to a spot where you can jump from a 10-meter cliff, which was incredibly refreshing!

日本人の参加者は私たちだけで、すべて英語のツアーです。ただ、わかりやすいようにゆっくり説明してくれてとても親切でした。少しだけカヤックしてシュノーケリングのイメージでしたが、結構がっつりカヤックして遠くまで行きました。体力のない方はあまりおすすめではありません。でもアクティブな私達にはぴったりなツアーでした♪すっごく楽しかったです！！きれいな海を渡り、洞窟の前まで行ってスリル満天でした！勇気のある人は１０ｍの崖からジャンプできるスポットにも連れて行ってもらえるので、すごく爽快でした☆

Excellent cruise service by Fair Wind. Captain Kirk and his crews are very nice and friendly. Great lunch on the ship. My family and I enjoyed this cruise so much. We will join again. Give 5 stars service.

We didn't understand English at all, but we received instructions written in Japanese, so there were no problems at all.
We were super excited to encounter a pod of dolphins and whales!
It would be amazing to capture videos with an underwater camera!
The number of fish while snorkeling was a bit on the lower side, so I give it four stars.
The caves are viewed from the boat.
But overall, we were very satisfied!

英語が全くわからない私たちでしたが、日本語で書かれた説明書をいただけるので、何の問題もなかったです。
沖でイルカやクジラの群れに会うことができて大興奮でした☆
水中カメラで動画なんて撮れたら最高ですよ！
シュノーケルでは魚の数がやや少なめだったので星４つです。
洞窟は船の上から見る感じです。

I highly recommend this for people who love marine sports. It's a 4 to 5-hour tour on a rubber boat. During that time, the guide shares fun stories, and if we encounter a pod of dolphins, we can paddle alongside them. At the snorkeling spot, we stop the boat and everyone enjoys snorkeling individually. For lunch, they provide sandwiches, fruits, and drinks. We spend about two hours here, and once we're full, we get back on the boat to start rafting along the exposed lava rock formations. We went to the blowhole area while the guide entertained us with thrilling steering. We lost track of time and had an incredibly fun experience. The beautifully clear blue sea, playing with the fish, made it a truly enjoyable time. Thank you very much!

マリンスポーツが好きな人にはお勧めです。４，５時間ゴムボートの上でのツアーです。その間ガイドさんの楽しいおしゃべりとイルカの群れに出会えばイルカと一緒にボートを進め、シュノーケリングの場所ではボートを止めて皆シュノーケリングをめいめい楽しみます。お昼はサンドイッチやフルーツ、ドリンクなど出ます。ここで２時間ぐらい過ごしおなか一杯になったら又ボートに乗り今度は溶岩丸出しの岩肌に沿ってラフティング開始、溶岩説明など汐吹岩の場所まで行きスリリングな舵さばきで私たちを楽しませていただきました。時間を忘れあっという間の楽しいときを過ごしました。真っ青な透明度の良い綺麗な海、魚たちと戯れ時間を忘れ満喫してとっても楽しかったです。有難うございました。

I went kayaking with my mother, sister, and husband. It was my first time kayaking, but Kevin and Noni taught us patiently, and we were able to paddle happily. The snacks and pineapple during the break were also very delicious, making it a wonderful experience. When we got back, even though I applied sunscreen, my skin turned really red. I felt the intense Hawaiian sun even for just a few hours. Our advice is that you should definitely bring a shirt or jacket that covers your whole body. Otherwise, your skin can get close to a sunburn. I think it would be even more considerate if King Kayak included such advice on their website, which would improve their ratings. I would love to participate again when I visit the Big Island. Thank you very much.

カヤックは初めてでしたが、ケビンさんとノニさんが丁寧に教えてくださり楽しく漕ぐことができました。
休憩時のスナックやパイナップルもとってもおいしくて、とても良い体験ができました。
帰ってきたら日焼け止めを塗っていても肌がまっかになりました。
ほんの数時間でもハワイの熱い太陽を実感しました。
私たちからのアドバイスですが、絶対全身覆えるシャツや上着を持っていくべきです。
そうしないと肌が火傷状態に近くなったりします。
キングカヤックさんのHPでもそのような文面を入れられてるとさらに丁寧で評価も上がると思います。
またハワイ島に行ったときは、参加したいです。

This time, I visited Hawaii for my honeymoon and went to the Big Island for the first time. Since it was the Big Island, I was looking for activities to experience its nature, and I found this tour. The Zodiac boat is an inflatable boat, so it was thrilling, and I could fully enjoy the Hawaiian breeze. During the voyage, I was able to see many schools of fish and wild dolphins. While snorkeling, I got to see various fish in the beautiful sea, which was very satisfying. Everyone else who participated with us was foreign, and there were no staff who spoke Japanese, which was a bit inconvenient, but it was a valuable experience overall. For lunch, they prepared sandwiches, snacks, and fruits right there on the spot. Eating lunch on the boat was pleasant and fantastic. However, while moving, despite being an inflatable boat, it goes at quite a speed, so you have to hold on tightly, or you might get thrown off. Therefore, it may not be recommended for elderly people or those who are prone to seasickness. Nonetheless, I had a very valuable experience and was satisfied. Thank you!

今回ハネムーンでハワイを訪れ初めてハワイ島に訪れました。せっかくのハワイ島なのでハワイ島の自然を感じられるアクティビティを探してたところこのツアーを見つけました。ゾディアック号はゴムボートなのでスリリングでハワイの風を存分に感じることができました。航海の途中では魚の群れや野生のイルカをたくさん見ることができました。シュノーケリングではとても綺麗な海の中で様々な魚を見ることができ大満足でした。一緒に参加した人たちは自分たち以外はすべて外国人でショップの人たちも日本語をしゃべれる人がいなかったため少し不便でしたがそれ以上に貴重な体験ができました。ランチにはサンドイッチやスナック菓子、フルーツまでその場で切って用意してくれます。ボートの上で食べるランチも気持ちよく最高でした。ただ移動中はゴムボートにもかかわらずかなりのスピードで走るのでかなり踏ん張って捕まってないと振り落とされそうになります。なのでご年配の方や船酔いしやすい方はあまりお勧めできないかもしれません。ただ私は大変貴重な体験ができ満足でした。

The boat offers an incredibly fast roller coaster experience. You can enjoy the lava from the outside of Hawaii Island. The snorkeling was exceptionally beautiful. The fish playing in the protected coral reefs were truly colorful and there were many different species. They took plenty of time, and it was very healing.

The cave exploration was during the day, so we couldn't go inside due to high tide, but we were able to enjoy the view. We encountered wild dolphins. All the explanations were in English. The meeting place was hard to find, and it felt like searching for the SeaQuest vehicle at the port.

ボートは非常に非常に早くジェットコースター気分を味わえます。外からのハワイ島の溶岩が堪能できます。シュノーケリングは最高にきれいでした。保護されているサンゴ礁で遊ぶ魚たちは本当に色鮮やかで種類も沢山。時間も沢山とってくれ非常に癒されました。
洞窟探検は昼ツアーだったせいか満ち潮で中にははいれず眺める程度。でも野生のイルカに遭遇できました。説明は全部英語。集合場所はわかりにくく港のシークエストの車を探す感じ。

Wasn't sure how we would like this since we don't normally like touristy things, but we really enjoyed the show. Food was good and I would recommend paying the premium upgrade amount as it helped us skip the line and then sit up front to watch the show. My son who just turned 14 really liked the activities and the show -- he even tried poi. My daughter who is 18 enjoyed the show -- especially the fire dance. Overall, the hosts and staff were very nice and accommodating. The performers were wonderful and even funny at times. I would highly recommend this event if you have never been to a Luau.
