My husband and I participated together, and I finally fulfilled my long-time dream of "swimming with dolphins"! A group of dolphins swam gracefully by, close enough that I felt I could reach out and touch them! There were also adorable baby dolphins. While we couldn't play with them, I was so happy to hear their voices.

The dolphins' performance is a must-see! They followed the boat and surfed, showing off impressive jumps with twists, just like Kohei Uchimura.

For those who share a dream like mine, I highly recommend participating. My husband joined reluctantly, showing no interest, but he ended up quite excited, snapping photos with an underwater camera. Later, he said, "That was pretty good."

Are you afraid of swimming in the ocean? No worries! You can borrow a float called a noodle. Plus, the guide holds your arm firmly, so you can feel safe (they took great care of both of us).

Worried about not seeing well underwater? No problem! You can borrow a prescription mask. My husband has terrible nearsightedness, but he enjoyed it.

Both the guide and the captain were very cheerful and kind. They seemed to find purpose in making sure we had a great time.

We also observed an activity at the hotel where you can interact with dolphins, but I thought that if you're going to spend that much money, this experience is definitely the better choice.

I created wonderful memories for a lifetime. Thank you!

I had heard that the Kona area has little rain, but it seems this year has been quite rainy, and the day we attended the luau show was a disaster (crying).

First, we checked in at the luau desk in the hotel. It was popular, so there was a line, but it was completed smoothly. However, when we went out to the beach, there was a long line. The host was speaking amusingly, but those in the back couldn't hear at all. After entering, I purchased a women's dendrobium lei for $6 and a men's kukui lei for $5. We took a commemorative photo here, but due to the chaos from the heavy rain afterward, photos were not available for purchase anywhere.

We were seated at a table with Americans, greeting and shaking hands. Drinks were free, but since there was only one lady serving, there was another long line. The meal included poi and about three types of meat. The taste was American-style, which I liked.

Just as the meal began, it started to rain... what began as a light drizzle quickly turned into a decent downpour, and everyone was given bath towels to cover their heads. The tablecloth, the trays with food, and everything got soaked from the rain. The drinks were diluted by the rainwater.

Originally, there were supposed to be various activities before the meal, but as the rain intensified, everything was cleared away in about 15 minutes. We couldn't participate in anything. There was no whole roasted pig either. The main show ended up being super fast-paced and finished in no time (laughs). It was supposed to end after 8 PM, but surprisingly, it wrapped up by 6:30 PM, and the band, food, and audience all cleared out immediately.

Despite this disappointing experience, only a few people left their seats, and everyone seemed to enjoy themselves to some extent until the end. I had high expectations based on good reviews, and since it was my first day on the Big Island, I was really looking forward to it, but it ended up being a letdown. I'm unsure if I would want to see it again next time.

通された席はアメリカの方たちと同じテーブルで、挨拶したり握手したり。
ドリンクはフリーですが、おばちゃん一人で対応しているのでこれまた長蛇の列。食事はポイなどもあり、お肉の種類も３種類ほどありました。味もアメリカンな味で私は好きです。
さて食事が始まってすぐに雨が,,,小雨だったの束の間、そこそこの雨が降り出し、全員にバスタオルが配られ皆が頭からすっぽり白いタオルをずっとかぶってました。テーブルクロスも食事の入ったトレーも料理も全部雨でぐしょぐしょ。グラスのお酒は雨で薄まって水になってました。

本来なら食事前に色んなアクティビティがあったようですが、雨が強くなってどれも１５分ほどで撤収。何も参加できず。豚の丸焼きもありませんでした。
肝心のショーも超早送りであれよあれよという間に終わって（笑）２０時過ぎ終了予定がなんと１８時半には終わって、バンドも料理も観客も即撤収。
そんな散々な内容でしたが、席を立つ人は数名だけで、みんな最後までそれなりに楽しんでいました。

口コミも良く、初ハワイ島初日だったので期待していましたが、残念な結果に終わってしまいました。次回もう一回観るかは悩むなー

I participated in the first day of my honeymoon trip on September 20th.

It was my first time kayaking, but Noni, the female instructor, kindly taught me in Japanese, and Kevin, the other instructor, created a very enjoyable atmosphere in Japanese as well.

Kayaking while gazing at the beautiful blue sea and magnificent scenery was truly refreshing and an amazing experience!!!

The mystical experience inside the cave was also fantastic.

During snorkeling, we encountered large sea urchins and beautifully colored fish, and we even saw a sea turtle while we were there!! During the break, we dove in, lay on the lava, and took a natural lava bath nap. Above all, the pineapple we had after coming out of the sea was incredibly delicious.

It might require a bit of physical strength, but even beginners can easily kayak. If you are prone to motion sickness, it's definitely better to take some medication beforehand, as it could ruin the fun of the tour... I felt a bit nauseous myself...

On the way back, Noni kindly recommended some delicious restaurants near our hotel ( *^_^* ).

9月20日に新婚旅行1日目に参加させていただきました。

初めてのカヤックでしたが、初めに女性のノニさんに日本語で優しく教えていただきインストラクターのケビンさんも、日本語でとても楽しい雰囲気の中参加することができました。

綺麗な青い海や壮大な景色を眺めながらのカヤック。本当に気持ち良くて最高の体験！！！

洞窟の中の神秘的な体験も最高です。

シュノーケリングでは、大きなうにや綺麗な色の魚、私たちが参加した時にはウミガメにも出会うことができました！！
休憩では、ダイブをしたり、溶岩の上で寝転がり天然の溶岩浴でお昼寝。何より海からあがってから頂いたパイナップルがおいしすぎました。

ちょっと体力が必要かな？と思いますが…初めてでも簡単にカヤックができます。乗り物酔いをする方は絶対に酔い止めを飲んでおいたほうがいいです。せっかくの楽しいツアーが台無しになるので…。私はちょっと気持ち悪くなってしまいました…。
帰りはノニさんにホテル近くのおいしいレストランなども教えていただきました（*^_^*）

We participated as a family of three with our 10-year-old son. This was our first experience with snorkeling, and despite not being great swimmers, we wanted to swim with dolphins. After considering various options, we decided to join Mr. Nawata's tour! The reasons were the small group size of eight people and the five-star service from the staff.

Having actually participated, I can confidently say that choosing this tour was the right decision! Mr. Nawata took great care of our son, allowing him to see the dolphins up close, which made him extremely happy! We were also able to chase the dolphins without worrying about our son (though we were quite busy with our own excitement).

Here are the good points about participating in Mr. Nawata's tour:
- With a maximum of eight participants, we didn't waste time getting on and off the boat, which increased our opportunities to swim with the dolphins (larger boats tend to take longer).
- The boat was specifically for snorkeling, so we were close to the water's surface, making it completely non-threatening for us, even as beginners.
- The staff were very attentive. As mentioned, Mr. Nawata was dedicated to taking care of our son, allowing him to see the dolphins up close. Swim guide Michi and the captain also constantly pointed out where the dolphins were so that participants could see them well!

息子には縄田さんが付きっきりで面倒を見ていただけたので、誰よりもイルカを近くで見ることができ、大満足！私たちも息子を心配せずに（というか自分のことでいっぱいいっぱいでしたが。。。）イルカを追いかけることができました。

縄田さんのツアーに実際に参加して良かった点は、次のとおりです。
？定員８名なので、船のあがりおりに時間がかからず、イルカと一緒に泳ぐ機会が増える（大規模な船だとあがりおりに時間がかかるようです）。

I know only basics of swimming and I can not even survive in a 6 ft swimming pool and still I had fun snorkeling with Fair wind. Crew helped us a lot and snorkeling area was also good. I participated on September 22nd. I have experienced diving and snorkeling in various islands, including overseas, but swimming close to wild dolphins and hearing their voices live was a first for me, and it was an emotional experience that is hard to put into words. The guides, Mr. Nawata and Ms. Tsuyako, were very kind and provided heartfelt guidance. They help ensure that even solo participants or those who are not very comfortable in the water can enjoy the experience. What impressed me the most was the enthusiasm they showed in wanting to convey the beauty of Hawaii to the guests. When we returned to the port, we took a moment to search for whales, as it was mentioned that they had arrived early in Hawaii this year. Unfortunately, we couldn't spot any, but more than anything, I was reminded of the "curiosity" and excitement that I often forget in the urban life of Tokyo. I heard that in winter, you can meet whales, so I hope to come back someday to see them.
It's a wonderful recommended tour that is small in number, homey, safe, and truly moving!

I believe even those who can't swim can feel safe swimming with the dolphins with the support of floatation devices and the swim guides.

The dolphin swim involves chasing after dolphins that are moving south, and it’s a repetitive process of chasing and swimming. Aloha Kona Tours has a capacity of 8 people (there were 6 during my time), so compared to tours with 20 people, the boarding and disembarking is quicker, allowing for more time swimming with the dolphins. While you can't know for sure until you go, there are many boats out in the ocean for dolphin tours, and some are quite large. Aloha Kona Tours is definitely a better deal!

By the way, the boat (about a 20-minute ride) can be quite rocky, so motion sickness medication is a must. If you get sick, you won't be able to enjoy it. Also, if you bring a hat, make sure it has a strap to keep it secure, or it will get blown away. 縄田さんとスインムガイドのミチさんにしっかりサポートしていただいたおかげで、とても楽しいドルフィンスイムになりました。
ミチさんも「こんなに遊びモードのイルカは久しぶり！」と言っていたほど、イルカにたくさん遊んでもらえて大満足でした！
泳げない人でも浮輪とスイムガイドさんのサポートで安心してイルカと泳げると思いますよ。

ドルフィンスイムは南下して移動してくるイルカを追いかけて泳ぐ→追いかけて泳ぐ→追いかけて泳ぐという繰り返しなのですが、アロハコナツアーズさんは定員８名なので（私の時は６名でした）、２０名い乗ってるツアーなどに比べて乗り降りが早くイルカと泳ぐ時間が長いようです。
行ってみないと分からないですが、海にはイルカツアーのたくさんの船が出ていて、かなり大所帯の船もありました。
絶対アロハコナツアーズさんの方がお得ですよ~☆

ちなみにボート（片道２０分ほど）はなかり揺れるので、酔い止め必須です。酔ってしまっては楽しめないので。
また、帽子は紐付きで固定できる物でないと飛ばされてしまうので持って行っても意味ないです。
行きのボートは水着だけで大丈夫ですが、帰りは体が濡れて冷えているので薄い上着が一枚あるといいです。
私は水中カメラを持って行ったのですが、イルカを見るのに夢中でちゃんと撮れたのは１枚くらいでした（；；）
でもまずは肉眼でちゃんと見るのが優先だと思うので、写真は諦めてムービーモードで回していれば良かったと思いました・・・。

でもミチさんのサイン帳にＰＣのアドレスを書くと、後日ミチさんが撮ったイルカの写真が送られてきますよ。（とっても良く撮れてます！）

I had experience with dolphin watching, but I joined the tour expecting to swim with them. I thought we would only see them from a distance in the water, but they actually swam right next to us. I was captivated watching a baby dolphin nudging its mother and two dolphins racing alongside each other. Before entering the water, our guides, Mr. Nawata and Ms. Michi, told us to constantly be aware of our surroundings, and I found that to be true (laughs).

感激したのはイルカばかりではない。この日はイルカがなかなか見つからずかなり船を走らせたが、スタッフみんなが何とか参加者により沢山のイルカを見せてくれようと群れを探し、見つかって海に入るとキャプテンは船の上から、ガイドのお二人は海中でこっちこっちと常にイルカのいる所を教えてくれた。またツアー後もミチさんが自身で撮られたイルカの写真を送って下さるというのでメールアドレスをお伝えしておいたら、早速にとてもクリアな素晴らしい画像を送ってくださった。自分達でも写してはいたがどうしてもイルカのスピードについていけず、上手く撮れていなかったので大変嬉しい心遣いだった。

船上でのおしゃべりも楽しく、ハワイ島での楽しみ方もいろいろ教えていただいた。スタッフ皆さんが本当に気持ちの良い方ばかりだったのでよりツアーを楽しめたのではないかと思う。
今回はシュノーケル初体験という方や小学生のお子さんもいたが、そのアテンドも大変きめ細かく、初心者でも安心して参加できるツアーだと思った。
船は小さいボートで参加者も８名が定員だが、それがかえってイルカと泳ぐには良いよいのだそう。実際イルカを見つけては彼らが泳いできそうな所に先回りして海に入って待つ、イルカが通り過ぎると船にあがり、また先回りして海に入る、の繰り返し。船が大きいと小回りがきかないし、人数が多いと全員が船にあがるのにも時間がかかってしまい、イルカを見る回数が減ってしまうとのことだった。

I've done sea kayaking many times before, so it wasn't anything new, but it was just as fun as I expected. The two guides were warm and genuinely human, creating a relaxing atmosphere. I definitely want to join another tour next time. Thank you, Kevin and Noni, for your hospitality. Thank you for the photos as well. I'm looking forward to the day we meet again.

I had been wanting to participate in a dolphin tour for a long time and did some research, but I decided to apply to Aloha Kona Tours for a couple of reasons: the small group size and the fact that they speak Japanese. Additionally, the numerous comments from past participants were decisive factors for me.

Participating in the tour was truly an amazing and moving experience. We were a couple not so young and complete beginners, but thanks to Mr. Nawata and staff member Tsuyako's thoughtful attention, we were able to enjoy snorkeling without any worries.

Of course, we got to see dolphins, and we even encountered a manta ray, which was incredibly moving. They made sure we could meet dolphins multiple times by getting the boat ahead of them, and we could even hear the dolphins' sounds and saw a mother and baby dolphin.

I am truly grateful to Mr. Nawata and Tsuyako, who were always smiling. It was a reassuring dolphin tour for beginners.

We participated as a family. Since it was about wild dolphins, we were able to see a family of dolphins shortly after the boat started moving. At the front of the boat, we could also see many flying fish several times.

I wanted to see the dolphins a bit closer, but since snorkeling was the main activity this time, we traveled for about an hour.

For breakfast (light snacks), we could freely make our own bread and fruit, and the burgers for lunch were also delicious, along with fresh potato salad and vegetables. Maui chips were available as snacks, which was nice.

We could always have warm drinks, and there were many options for cold drinks. We could also have alcohol for an additional fee.

On the day of the trip, we were the only Japanese people, but the staff kindly supported us, which made us feel at ease. 当日、日本人は自分達だけでしたが、スタッフにやさしくサポートしてもらえたので安心でした。マスクも度付きのを貸出してもらい。ヌードルやグラスで下が見えるビート版等、シャワー完備と充実しておりました。シュノーケルのスポットは、透明度が高く、深くても安心して泳げる波の高さでした。

帰りにカメも見ることができ、とても満足しています。

I was thrilled to see not only dolphins but also manta rays! It was a truly unforgettable experience that I could never have in Japan, so I was very satisfied.

There were only two crew members, the captain and a guide, along with eight guests, which made for a more intimate atmosphere. I think it's great for those who dislike a noisy environment.

However, since it was my first time snorkeling, I panicked a bit when I jumped into the sea and swallowed quite a bit of seawater (laughs).

This time we went to the Big Island, and visiting Kilauea and Mauna Kea was a must. I looked into what else there was to do and found out that you can swim with dolphins, so I joined this tour, which had great reviews compared to others.

It turned out to be a fantastic choice! First of all, the guide was really nice and amazing! The quality of a tour is definitely important, but the guide makes a huge difference!

The tour itself was filled with dolphins, and I was truly moved. I was surprised to see so many dolphins up close!

Apparently, the types of dolphins on the Big Island are different from those on Oahu, and they swim in large groups, which is why you can see this incredible sight.

I highly recommend it if you visit the Big Island!!

It was my first time kayaking, but thanks to Nino's careful instruction, I was able to paddle in the ocean with peace of mind. I experienced a sense of liberation and refreshment that I had never felt before.

There was a bit of a struggle with steering, leading to a mini battle between my child and me, but that was also quite fun. I got so into kayaking that I even wanted my own kayak.

The underwater scenery while snorkeling was captivating, resembling a dragon palace, but unfortunately, I got seasick and had to get back on the kayak midway. (I apologize for that, especially since Kevin found the best spot for us...) I am very grateful to Kevin and Nino for their constant encouragement and thoughtful care.

The kids mentioned that they were disappointed we didn't encounter dolphins or sea turtles and that we couldn't experience cliff diving, but instead, we were able to feel the great outdoors, which became a wonderful summer memory. (I believe the decision to skip cliff diving was made out of concern for my health.)

I was very thankful to receive the photos for free after returning home. If the opportunity arises, I would love to participate again.

シュノーケリングをした海底は、まるで竜宮城のような景色で魅了されましたが、私だけ波酔いをしてしまい途中でカヤックに乗ってしまいました。
（せっかくケビンさんがベストスポットを探してくれたのにすみませんでした…）
ケビンさんとニノさんには、何度も声掛けをして頂き、細かな気遣いをしてくれた事を大変感謝しております。

イルカとホヌに出会えなかった事と、崖からのダイビングが体験できなかった事が残念だったと子供達は言ってましたが代わりに大自然を肌で感じる事が出来大変良い夏の思い出となりました。（崖のダイビングは私の体調不良を気遣ってくれての事だと思います）

帰国後に無料でお写真を送って頂けたのはとてもありがたく思いました。
機会がありましたら、また参加したいと思います。

I participated in the morning tour with my wife. The entire guide was in English, but we received a Japanese notice sheet during check-in at the reception, which I think is almost the same as the verbal instructions given when boarding. As someone who struggles with English, I understood less than half, but reading the notice in advance helped me grasp the general idea. Just watching the beautiful coral reefs and colorful fish made me feel happy. On the way there, we even saw dolphins playing in the waves created by the boat. The food and drinks were more than enough to fill us up. There were many children present, so I believe people of all ages can enjoy this experience. There are also floaties available.

It seemed that most of the participants were travelers from the mainland United States, but there were a few other Japanese participants as well. However, I got the impression that the staff didn't engage much with the Japanese participants. Of course, it wasn't neglect; it might be due to the language barrier, leading to the impression that Japanese people are "hard to engage with." The staff properly offered equipment rentals and food and drink guidance, so it was reassuring, and I think it's perfectly fine to ask questions in broken English if you're unsure about something.

米国本土からの旅行者がほとんどのようでしたが、日本人参加者は他に数組いらっしゃいました。しかし、スタッフがあまり日本人に絡んでこない印象も。もちろん、放置ということでなくて、おそらく言葉の問題から日本人は「絡みにくい」という経験からの印象なのかもしれないですね。用具の貸し出しや飲食の案内などちゃんと声をかけてくれますので安心ですし、分からないことは遠慮なくカタコトで声をかければいいと思います。

After searching online for family-friendly activities on the Big Island, I decided to go with Aloha Kona Tours, which had great reviews. My son (7 years old) and daughter (9 years old) joined me, and the staff was always attentive. The kids were able to see a pod of dolphins right in front of them while holding onto floating rings.

Although they took breaks due to seasickness, the staff continued to check on them, which made the kids very happy. It was also great that all the staff were Japanese, allowing us to snorkel without any stress. I never imagined I would see so many dolphins jumping and spinning right in front of me; it was incredibly soothing.

They were punctual and very efficient. A waterproof camera is a must. I highly recommend participating as a family. Our summer vacation diary was filled with dolphins.

I definitely want to be a repeat customer. Thank you for everything!

All the guides are advanced Japanese speakers, so there's no need to worry at all if you can't speak any English. After a very clear explanation of how to kayak, paddle, and some precautions, we headed straight to the sea. It was incredibly refreshing.

Everyone else in my group felt a bit seasick, but as soon as we started snorkeling, it seemed to go away. The guide suggested that when you're not feeling well, it's better to get into the water, and once I did, I felt much better right away. I was amazed by the power of nature.

Moreover, guides Kevin and Noni were attentive to our condition and well-being, which made it easy to participate with peace of mind. I think even elderly people can manage this activity without any issues.

The pineapple we ate on the kayak was incredibly delicious. I thought I had never tasted such a delicious fruit before. They also prepared juice, tea, and muffins.

I thought it would be difficult to take photos on the water, but the guide took pictures for us and sent them to our PCs after we returned home, all for free. It was such a delightful service. I must say, the photos turned out great.

This tour is full of hospitality. I highly recommend participating!

高齢者の方でも十分いけると思います。

Kona Kayaking & Snorkeling Sea Cave Adventure at Keauhou Bay - Ocean Safari's

My granddaughter (14 yrs old) and I did this kayak snorkeling trip last month (July 27, 2012) and thoroughly enjoyed the experience! We had never kayaked before but had snorkled quite a few times over on Oahu. Our group of 11 included both experienced and novice kayakers. The guides (especially Brent) were helpful, knowledgeable, friendly and especially patient with us newbies. Water visibility was fantastic. We saw an abundance of different fish when we stopped to snorkel and were lucky enough to have a pod of dolphins come within 15 feet of us. That alone made the experience memorable. Water bottles were provided on the kayaks and when we stopped we snacked on drinks, chips and fresh delicious pineapple. I would strongly recommend wearing water shoes/sandals in order to be able to easily climb up to the lava cliff to make the jump. Would I do this snorkeling trip again? In a heartbeat!!!

This was our fourth trip to Hawaii as a couple, and it was our first time on the Big Island. I was really looking forward to seeing an authentic outdoor luau show for the first time as well. Overall, it was excellent.

I had checked reviews beforehand about the need to "line up before entering the venue," so after checking into our hotel (it was the night of our arrival, and we were staying at the King Kamehameha), we took care of the process right away. They gave us a paper with the reception time, but even though we arrived about 30 minutes early, there was quite a line! Most of the audience were Westerners, with only about 20% being Japanese. 「会場に入るまで並ぶ」というのを事前にクチコミでチェックしていたので、ホテルチェックイン後（到着日の夜だったのと、ちょうど宿泊先がキングカメハメハだったので）すぐに、手続きをしました。
受付時間を書いた紙をその場でくれたのですが、それでも、少し早めの30分前位に会場へ行ったにも関わらず、結構並んでいました！！
観覧客はほとんどが欧米人で、日本人は2割位だったかと思います。
また、通常は、日本人は日本人同士でテーブルセッティングしてくださるみたいですが（写真を撮り合ったり、お話したりできるから）、私達夫婦は、日本人がひとりもいない、欧米人のみのテーブルへ通されました・・・

ステージ側の前の方の、一番端の席だったため、とても落ち着き、バックには海とアフエナヘイアウ、ダンサーたちの登場シーンもよく見ることができ、とても満足でした。

伝統的なイムセレモニーは、一度は経験したかったので、よかったですが、一度経験すれば、もういいかな。。。
（豚さんを高温で蒸し焼きするので、匂いがかなりきつかったのです）

お食事は伝統的なもので、ビュッフェ式でしたので、いろいろ楽しめました。
ドリンクも飲み放題で、こちらもよかったのですが、テーブルが前の方だったので、その分、ドリンクの所へたどり着くまでが、とても遠かったです。

ハワイだけでなく、近隣の島々の踊りも織り交ぜながら、披露してくださいます。
同じフラダンサーとしては、いろいろな角度から、観させていただき、よい勉強になりました。

途中で雨がたくさん降ってきてしまい、時間よりもかなり早く終わってしまい、それが少し残念でした。

全体的には、日本人が周りにいなくて不安はありましたが(^^ゞ
それでも楽しめたので、とてもよかったです。

There were other dolphin tours available, but the limited number of participants was a deciding factor for me. The staff were very accommodating, which made me feel secure participating in the tour. There was one child who joined with their mother, and I appreciated how well the staff interacted with the child.

I was able to see many dolphins up close (the staff were shouting from the boat, directing us to look this way and that. It's surprising how you might miss them even when you're right next to them), and it was a very enjoyable tour. I will definitely participate again when I visit the Big Island.

The staff seemed to almost forget to collect the fees from the participants on the day, so that might be why there were no snacks provided. However, we did receive juice. Well, that's not something I was primarily expecting, so it wasn't a problem at all, but I wanted to mention it for future reference.

他にもイルカのツアーはありましたが、定員の数が少ないというのも決め手でした。スタッフのみなさんの対応も大変よくて安心してツアーに参加できました。ひとり、お子さんがお母さんと参加していましたが、そのお子さんに対するスタッフさんの対応も気持ちがよくて私は好きでした。

たくさんのイルカを間近でみることができ（スタッフさんも海の中、船の上からこっち、あっち~と叫んでくださいます。そばにいても意外と気づかなかったりするものなんですね）とても楽しいツアーでした。ハワイ島に行ったらまたぜひ参加します。

当日参加の方の代金の回収すら忘れちゃいそうになってるスタッフさんだったのでその延長かもしれませんが、スナックはありませんでしたね。ジュースはいただきましたけれど。まあ、そこはメインで期待している部分ではないので全然問題ないですが一応記載事項でしたので今後のためにも書いておきます。
