Kevin and Noni at King Kayak did a fabulous job of getting us out on the water. We had a group of four, ranging from 10 to 80 years old, and they kept the trip interesting, and low-impact. We got to see some spinner dolpins, enter a sea cave, snorkel in a pristine location, and jump off of cliffs into the crystal-blue waters of the bay. They took photos of us free of charge. It was a great adventure for all!

It seems I misunderstood the content when I made the reservation. I thought I would have a longer time with the dolphins, but that wasn't the case. First, we went snorkeling in the lagoon at the hotel, and then we did the Dolphin Quest. Given the price, I kind of regret not just opting for the Dolphin Quest. The snorkeling itself wasn't boring, but the price is definitely an issue. My child didn't understand English, so they had trouble following the guide's instructions. The guide also didn't seem very cheerful, so it might be a matter of luck with the staff.

ちょっと内容を勘違いして申し込んでいたようです。いるかと一緒にいられる時間が長いのかと思っていましたがそうではなく、まずホテル内のラグーンでシュノーケリングをして、その後がドルフィンクエストでした。この値段ならドルフィンクエストだけのものにすればよかったかなとちょっと後悔。シュノーケリング自体はつまらないわけではありませんでしたが、やっぱりお値段が問題ですね。こどもは英語がわからないのでガイドさんの指示がわからず困っていました。ガイドさんもあまり楽しい感じの人ではなかったので、当たり外れの問題もあるのかもしれません。

It was an incredibly exciting tour. It was my first time riding in a helicopter, and without a door, no less! The entire tour was in English, but I made sure not to miss the important security information, and with my heart racing, I got to sit right next to the pilot. Everything was perfectly necessary, and I was able to see the flowing lava, the rushing underground streams, and even enjoy a view of a rainbow from above after the rain. It was the best flight ever. I would love to ride again if I have the chance.

とにかくエキサイティングなツアーでした。
ヘリに乗ったのも初めて。しかも扉無しなんて(^^) 全て英語のツアーでしたが、大切なセキュリティのところだけは聞き逃さずに、ドキドキしながらもパイロットのすぐ隣に乗せてもらいました。
全てが必要必然ベストで、溶岩が流れる様も、また地中を勢いよく流れていく様も、また雨上がりに虹を上から眺めることもでき、最高のフライトでした。
また機会があれば乗りたいです。

Talented and great looking actors, musicians and hostess. The food was high quality. The only thing that kept me from giving it 5 stars is the Mai Tais. They were mainly juice, super sweet and head-ache inducing. The bar closed much earlier than dinner ended, so I couldn't take advantage of the open bar. Another thing that didn't seem fair is that teenagers paid the same as adults. And of course they weren't drinking...

The nature walk was just perfect. We were transported to the forest by a great big open truck with 6 wheels. It was to full capacity with 11 people on board plus our guide and driver, Noi. She was super experienced driving the truck (which didn't seem easy) and very knowledgeable about all that was around us in the forest. She went out of her way to make sure we all had captured the right pictures. The waterfall was super pretty and refreshing to swim in. The views were fantastic and the time went by super quickly.
I would definitely recommend this adventure to everyone who can easily walk for an hour or so straight.

We thoroughly enjoyed the show. Even a little rain just added to the entertainment. Good buffet with plenty to choose from with foods both familiar and local. Nice atmosphere on the lawn by the ocean. Fire dancer was pretty awesome. Great view of the sunset. We would do this again.

This is my fourth time on board. At some point, it has become a promise between my husband and me that "when we come to the Big Island, we will participate in the Fair Wind activities." As always, I'm excited to visit the beautiful bay and scenery. Actually, I tend to get seasick, so I usually struggle with boats. However, the Fair Wind catamaran has minimal rocking, which allows someone like me to feel safe while on board. I've been on it four times and have enjoyed myself without getting seasick even once. Watching the fish is fun, but sliding down the slide attached to the boat while shouting "Yay!" and "Wow!" truly brings me back to my childhood and is the best time ever. It's also nice that lunch is prepared at just the right time. The crew members are all friendly and amazing. I definitely want to go again next time.

４回目の乗船。いつの頃からか「ハワイ島に来たら、フェアウィンド号のアクティビティーに参加する。」というのは、私達夫婦の御約束事みたいになってしまいました。風景と美しい湾に行くのは、いつもの事ながらわくわくします。実は、私は船酔いするため船は、苦手中の苦手なのです。しかし、双胴船のフェアウィンドは揺れが少ないことから、こんな私でも安心して乗船できます。４回乗船しましたが、１度も船酔いすることなく楽しむことができました。お魚を見るのも楽しいですが、船についている滑り台を「きゃー」とか「わー」とか叫びながら滑り落ちるのは、まさに童心に戻って最高の時間です。調度よい時間に昼食が準備されるのも良いですよね。
クルーのスタッフは、みんなフレンドリーで最高です。また次回も是非行きたいと思っています。

A fantastic adventure! We rowed down the coast--explored and rolled into a couple of caves. Snorkeling and cliff jumping into clear waters--everything we could ask for. Our guide-(Kayla)-sorry--I know that's wrong---was great. Good instructions on kayaking basics---knowledgable about the area---she knew her stuff. My wife and I--both 50-ish--were blown away. We would highly recommend this trip and this company. Thanks for a great day!

Due to traffic (not indicated by Google Maps) we were running late. I called the boat office and they would not hold the boat for me for 7 minutes, as that is all we needed after the traffic picked up to get to the pier. Extremely disappointed! It was our last night in Hawaii so we couldn't make it up. $450 in the air. Hopefully Veltra will understand and issue a refund.

Really easy trip with great snorkeling. Some of the best on the islands!

This is my third time, and it's always great no matter how many times I participate. It's truly a wonderful time, like being in a dream. This time, I didn't see anything in the first half, so I gave up and went back to the boat, took off my wetsuit, and was drinking cocoa when suddenly it appeared! I hurriedly grabbed my camera, put on my snorkeling gear just as I was, and went back into the sea. I'm so glad I got to see it!

今回で3回目ですが、何回参加してもいいですね。
本当に夢の中にいるような素敵な時間です。
今回は前半全く現れず、諦めて船に戻りウエットスーツを脱いでココアを飲んでいたら現れたではありませんか！
急いでカメラ持ってそのままの恰好でシュノーケルギアだけ付けて海に戻りました。
会えてよかったです～！

I was worried about whether I would encounter a manta ray, but I did! They were so close! It was surprising! I want to tell my friends about it.

マンタに出会えるか心配でしたが、会えるわ！近いわ！びっくりでした！

We have been coming here for quite a while and have attended more luaus than I can count. The island breeze luau is the best. What makes this one great is the history of the island that is part of the program. Plus the buffet is the best one around. And just like in real estate, LOCATION LOCATION LOCATION!!!!!!
We recently moved here so a luau is always on the agenda when friends come. We still get as excited now as the first one we ever saw.

I was a bit worried before participating because there was a possibility that we might not see anything after coming all the way to the Big Island and paying money, but... we did see them (^_^). It was thrilling to see them up close. However, I did get seasick... I had never experienced motion sickness or seasickness before, but this time I was really affected (*_*). The boat rocked quite a bit before the manta rays appeared at the spot. I ended up giving up halfway, but the guide was very kind and reassuring throughout the trip. Since you get wet and it can be very cold on the way back, I definitely think you should bring something to wear over yourself!! My husband was shivering too (laughs). If you take motion sickness medication and are well-prepared, it’s a very satisfying tour☆

ハワイ島まで来て、お金も払って、
見られない可能性があるということで参加前は少し心配していましたが、、、見られました(^_^)
間近で見られて感激です。
ただ船酔いが…
今まで乗り物酔い、船酔いとしたことがなかったのですががっつり酔ってしまいました(*_*)
ポイントについてからマンタが現れるまでがかなり揺れます。
途中でギブアップしてしまいましたが、ガイドさんが終始優しく対応してくれて安心しました。
体が濡れて帰りはとても寒いので羽織るものを絶対に持っていった方がいいと思います！！
旦那も震えてました(笑)
酔い止め飲んで装備もしっかりしていけばとても満足なツアーですよ☆

Good food nice setting more of calm luau but all together a good experience .

Absolutely fantastic. Our two guides were extremely knowledgeable about the Island and told us things that you would only get on a tour. The kayaking was a blast and we had visibility to 100 feet. We went kayaking into a sea cave and were also able to snorkel there as well. We saw many fish, urchins, and even an eel in a tidal pond that our guide took us to. I would highly recommend this to anyone who wants to cross off their bucket list, kayaking across the bay/ocean, seeing ancient tombs, and being face to face with God's wonderful creation of the Island. This was my first stay at Hilton. Since I wanted to see a traditional show during this trip, I experienced the Luau & Hula Hawaiian Show. I reserved a premium seat, and I had the best position right in the middle of the front row! The show included traditional performances, unique acts, and fire dancing, and I was very satisfied with the content. The food was delicious too. I definitely recommend it if you're staying at Hilton.

今回が初めてのヒルトン宿泊でした。今回の旅行では伝統的なショーを見たいと思っていたこともあり、このルアウ＆フラ・ハワイアンショーを体験しました。
プレミアムシートを予約したのですが、真ん中の最前列からの観賞でベストポジション！ショーは伝統的なものあり、ユニークなものあり、ファイヤーダンスありと大満足の内容でした。料理もおいしかったですよ。ヒルトン泊まるなら是非おススメですね。

My two teenagers (from LA) who don't like to show enthusiasm about anything had a great time on this activity. I loved seeing the Spinner Dolphins. We felt very safe and well taken care of. I highly recommend the Fair Wind.

I wanted to let my 4-year-old child meet dolphins. First, there was a bit of a struggle since no one spoke Japanese. The time spent playing with the dolphins was short, so I felt it might not be worth the cost in terms of enjoyment. However, you can see the dolphins up close, so that might be satisfying enough.

４歳の子供をイルカと会わせたくて利用。
まず日本語が全く通じず、少し苦戦。
イルカと遊ぶ時間が短いので、金額ほど楽しめないかなと思う。
近くでイルカは普通に見えるので、それで満足できるかも。

After reading everyone's reviews, we decided not to upgrade our seats and lined up in front of the reception about 30 minutes early to wait for it to open. Naturally, there weren't many people lining up that early, so we were first in line. As a result, we were guided to the best seats in the general area, which had a great view. The food was just okay.

This might be true for shows everywhere, but even though this is Hawaii, I was a bit disappointed that there were more revealing Tahitian dances than elegant Hawaiian hula. However, the final fire knife dance is always a highlight, no matter how many times you see it.

皆さんの口コミを見て、席のグレードアップはせず、30分くらい前から受付前に並び、開くのを待ちました。当然こんなに早く並んでいる人たちはおらず、私たちが1番。なので一般席の中でも1番前の見やすい席へ案内してもらえました。料理もまあまあかな。
どこのショーにも共通して言えることなのでしょうが、ここはハワイなのに、優雅なハワイアンフラよりも、露出度の高いタヒチアンダンスの方が多いのがちょっとだけ不満です。
でも、最後のファイアーナイフダンスは何度見ても良いものですね。

The guide, Tori, was bright and kind, a really nice person! I was a bit worried about the night snorkeling since it was my first time, but we just held onto a board with lights and floated, so there was nothing to worry about at all. I was more moved by the manta rays that kept coming right up to us. We were in the water for about 30 minutes, so after getting out, it felt cold, so it's essential to have something to wear. I also think it's a good idea to bring a waterproof camera. You can take photos up close!

ガイドのとりさん明るくて優しい良い方でした!
夜のシュノーケリングは初めてで怖いんじゃないかと少し心配していましたが、
ライト付きの板にみんなでつかまって浮いているだけなので、全く心配なことはありませんでした。それよりも目前まで何度もやってくるマンタに感動しっぱなしでした。
30分ほど水の中にいるので、あがったあとは寒さを感じるので羽織るものは必須です。
あと防水カメラ持っていくといいと思います。間近で撮影できます!

Lots of neat stuff at the bottom, and a very comfy ride.

Eka Canoe provided a great tour. The small group size gave a really good guide/tourist ratio. The fact that the boat sailed from Keauhou Bay meant that we only had a short (about five minutes) ride to the viewpoint. The experience of watching these creatures was fantastic. They are wild animals, so one never knows what to expect. I did not see the "inverted loop" feeding behaviour that is usually shown in promotional videos, but I saw four mantas cruising mid-way between the bottom and the surface. It was a remarkable experience. The crew and guide looked after us well. They were booked up for the remaining evenings that I had on the Big Island or I would have returned for a repeat tour!

Husband and I went together and the crew was great we just didn't think the snorkel was that great. We had issues with our gear and we didn't see too much

Since I was staying at the Sheraton near Keauhou Bay, it was easy to get around, and because it was an early morning tour, I was able to spend my time meaningfully. Although I didn't encounter any dolphins or sea turtles, kayaking was a fun experience that I don't often get to do. Compared to Oahu, the water was very clear and beautiful. Viewing the Big Island from the sea was interesting as I could feel the volcanic rock formations and the lush greenery.

ケアウホウ湾近くの、シェラトンに宿泊していたため、移動が楽で、早朝ツアーということもあり、時間を有意義に過ごせました。イルカやウミガメには出会えませんでしたが、カヤックを漕ぐことが、普段なかなかできない体験なので楽しかったです。オアフ島と比較して、海もとても澄んでいて綺麗でした。海の上からハワイ島を見ると火山性の岩の地形や、緑の自然を感じられて面白かったです。

We had a wonderful time. The captain steered around a storm and we were able to have a great trip. The food was delicious, the whole crew was great. Thanks for the awesome time.
