I experienced the sunset and stargazing tour. It was one of those views I've always wanted to see at least once in my life. During the sunset, the view of the sea of clouds below, the setting sun, and the scenery that unfolded as time flowed slowly was amazing. The stargazing afterward, where I was able to enjoy the view before the moon rose, seemed to be a stroke of luck. It became another unforgettable sight.

Throughout the tour, the guide was kind and shared stories about Hawaii, making it a fun time. This time, it was lucky that all the participants were Japanese, so we had a completely Japanese-speaking guide.

サンセット&星空鑑賞ツアーを体験。人生で一度は見てみたいと思った景色の1つでした。サンセットでは、眼下に流れる雲海、沈んでいく太陽、ゆっくりと時間が流れていく中で見える景色は最高でした。その後の星空鑑賞、月が昇る前の時間帯で鑑賞することができたのは運が良かったようです。これまた忘れられない光景となりました。

ツアーを通してですが、ガイドさんは親切で道中もハワイのお話もしてくれ楽しい時間でした。今回はたまたま参加者が全員日本人だったので完全日本語ガイドとなったのもラッキーでした。

I enjoyed the easy-to-understand explanations in Japanese by the experienced and knowledgeable guide, Mr. Shoyou. On that day, we were able to fully enjoy a starry sky without the influence of moonlight.

The magnificent nature of Mauna Kea was breathtaking. I had my wedding on Oahu and then came to the Big Island for sightseeing, which created wonderful memories. Thank you!

This tour was awesome. The views were amazing, the trails were fun, and our guides went above and beyond to make sure we had a great experience. We enjoyed the stories about the culture and landscape that our guides shared with us at each spot we stopped at along the way. Thank you again for an awesome experience!

I participated in the tour primarily for stargazing near the summit of Mauna Kea. Since there is an observatory set up there, I was expecting good weather, but when we arrived at the observation site, it was cloudy, and we couldn't see a perfect starry sky. Our guide managed to take some photos with a few clear spots in the sky as a backdrop. It's nobody's fault, so there's nothing we can do about it.

マウナケア山頂近くでの星空観測が主な目的でツアーに参加しました。天文台も設置される程なので天候も良いと期待していたのですが、観測場所に着いた時には雲がかかっており満点の星空とはいかなかったです。少しの晴れ間を見つけてガイドさんが星をバックに撮影してくれました。こればかりば誰のせいでも無いので仕方ないです。

The guide was very polite and explained the history and natural environment of Mauna Kea in an easy-to-understand manner. The moment the sunset occurred was beautiful, providing an experience that was more moving than any photo could capture.

Although the starry sky was cloudy, the Milky Way was clearly visible to the naked eye.

They were well-prepared with warm clothing and hot drinks, allowing us to enjoy ourselves comfortably even at high altitudes.

ガイドさんがとても丁寧で、マウナケアの歴史や自然環境について分かりやすく説明してくれた。夕陽が沈む瞬間は美しく、写真以上の感動を味わえる。
星空は曇っていたものの天の川は肉眼ではっきり見られた。

防寒具や温かい飲み物の準備も万全で、標高の高い場所でも安心して楽しめた。

The half-day tour to see the sunset and the starry sky was amazing. A jacket is essential because it's cold. The Milky Way was also breathtaking! ^_^

半日かけてサンセットと星空を見るツアーは最高でした。寒いので上着は必須です。天の川も感動でした^_^

It was my first time horseback riding, and I had a great time. I was able to enjoy the magnificent natural scenery while on horseback, and it was a wonderful experience. The horses were all gentle and very cute. I would love to do it again.

初めての乗馬でしたが、とても楽しむことができました。壮大な自然の絶景を、馬になりながら堪能でき、素晴らしい体験でした。馬はみな穏やかでとても可愛かったです。また、やりたいと思いました。

The breathtaking scenery of the Mars-like landscape, along with the view of the sea of clouds and sunset from the mountaintop, was truly moving. The guide's explanations were clear and interesting. I also had wonderful photos taken, which became great memories.

火星のような大地の絶景と、山頂からの雲海と夕陽の眺めは本当に感動的でした。ガイドさんの説明もわかりやすくおもしろったです。素晴らしい写真も撮影者してもらい、いい思い出になりました。

I was excited to sign up for a plan that allows you to go to a height higher than Mount Fuji at 4,200m. I originally applied for the sunrise tour, but it was canceled due to the organizer's circumstances, so I opted for the sunset tour instead.
What I felt most when I reached the summit was just how big the sun is! It felt so close! The day before, I enjoyed a beach sunset, and while both experiences were wonderful, this was truly a one-of-a-kind experience.
The starry sky was really what they mean by "stars falling," with a sky full of stars, stars, and more stars. It was a fantastic experience to see both the Northern and Southern Hemispheres.

4,200mという富士山より高いところへ行けるというプランにドキドキして申し込みました。本当はサンライズを申し込みましたが、主催者都合で却下されてこのサンセットツアーにしました。
山頂に登って一番感じたのはとにかく太陽が大きい‼️近い‼️前日はビーチサンセットを楽しみましたがその対比もありどちらも素敵でしたが、唯一無二の体験でした。
星空も本当に「星が降る」とはこのことで、満点の星、星、星。北半球と南半球と両方見れる素晴らしい体験でした。

In mid-September, with no clouds or moon, the sunset near the observatory and the starry sky including the Milky Way from the mountainside were beautifully visible. Since everyone was Japanese, the tour was conducted in Japanese. It was a bit cramped in the car due to the large number of participants. There was rental available for upper and lower cold-weather gear, and it wasn't as cold as I expected.

9月の中旬の参加で、雲も月もなく、天文台近くからの夕陽や山の中腹から天の川を含む星空が綺麗に見えました。全員日本人のため日本語のツアーでした。人数が多かったので車が少し窮屈でした。上下の防寒具のレンタルがあり思ったより寒くなかったです。

An amazing experience watching the sun set into the clouds at the summit of Mauna Kea, breath taking. Followed up with an evening of incredible stargazing, to hard to explain the beauty of it. James was an excellent tour guide diving into Hawaiian history, culture, and his knowledge of the observatories, their work and the constellations that we could see during our star gazing experience made the evening even better.

We were blessed with great weather and saw a wonderful sunset and a starry sky. I was very satisfied. There were a total of 12 participants: 8 foreigners and 4 Japanese. Our guide, James, was a very pleasant young man who worked hard to explain in Japanese and took many photos for us. It was a very enjoyable and pleasant tour. The sandwiches for dinner were also delicious. There was no wind and it wasn't too cold, so the down coat we borrowed was sufficient.
I think everyone should participate at least once when they come to the Big Island. It became a wonderful memory. I'm glad I participated.

天候に恵まれ素晴らしい夕日と満天の星空が見れました。大満足です。外国人の方8名と日本人4名計12名の参加でした。ガイドのジェームスさんはとても感じの良い青年で一生懸命頑張って日本語で説明し写真もたくさん撮ってくださいました。とても楽しく気持ちの良いツアーでした。夕食のサンドイッチも美味しかったです。風もなくあまり寒くなかったので貸していただいたダウンコートで大丈夫でした。
ハワイ島に来たら一度は参加した方がいいと思います。

I have had a few horseback riding experiences on Oahu, but they were just walking tours. Here, we were able to trot a bit in a safe, spacious area. If you're scared, it's perfectly fine to just walk. You can still enjoy it. Other tours had 3-hour courses, but I think this 1.5-hour option is the best time since my backside would start to hurt.

One downside was that it took a while for the toilet tank to fill up because there was only one pipe available.

オアフ島で数回の乗馬経験ありますが、歩くだけのツアーでした。こちらの乗馬は安全な広い場所では 少し走らせたりできました。怖ければ歩くだけでもOK。楽しめます。他のツアーでは3Hコース等がありましたが、お尻が痛くなってしまうので、こちらの1.5H程度がベストタイムと思います。
ネックなのはパイプが1本しか来ていないとの理由で、トイレタンクに水が溜まるのに時間がかかりました。

It was an English-guided tour, but our guide Shou-chan explained all the important things in Japanese as well, which was very helpful. The sandwiches for dinner could accommodate vegetarians and were reportedly from a famous shop, so they were very delicious.

Unfortunately, the sunset was obstructed by sudden clouds, so we couldn't see it beautifully. However, during the stargazing time, when I was about to give up due to the clouds, the sky cleared up, and in the end, we were able to see a sky full of stars, including the Big Dipper and the Milky Way! It was very interesting to hear detailed explanations about the constellations, and we could see artificial satellites clearly.

The summit of Mauna Kea is a difficult place to reach on your own, and preparing warm clothing is also quite challenging, so joining the tour was definitely the right choice. Thank you for the valuable experience!

英語ガイドのツアーでしたが、ガイドのしょうちゃんが、大事な事はすべて日本語でも説明してくださったので、とても助かりました。
夕食のサンドイッチはベジタリアン対応もできました。有名なお店のものらしくとても美味しかったです。

サンセットは、急な雲に邪魔されて、残念ながら綺麗には見られませんでした。。
星空観察の時間も雲が多くて諦めかけていたら、、どんどん晴れてきて最後は満天の星空になり、北斗七星や天の川まで見る事ができました！
星座の詳しい解説を聞け、人工衛星もよく見えてとても面白かったです。

マウナケアの山頂は道も険しく自力では行けない所ですし、防寒具の用意も大変ですから、ツアー参加が正解ですね。

Mr. Shoyo's guide was very easy to understand and listen to! While satisfying my intellectual curiosity with the history of the Big Island and tales of the starry sky, I enjoyed breathtaking views and a relaxing atmosphere. It was a wonderful experience.

ショウヨさんのガイドはとてもわかりやすく聞きやすかったです！ハワイ島の歴史や星空の寓話など知的好奇心もくすぐられながら、絶景を見て癒し空間も楽しめてとても良い時間でした。

I previously participated in the Sunrise Tour, so this time I joined the Sunset Tour. I was able to experience a different kind of emotion compared to the Sunrise. Also, since the stargazing was before the moon rose, the sky was filled with stars. Our guide, Masashi, provided explanations in Japanese for the Japanese guests, which was very nice.

以前、サンライズツアーに参加したことがあるので、今回はサンセットツアーに参加。
サンライズとはまた違った感動を得ることができました。また、星空観測は月が上る前だったので、満天の星。ガイドのまさしさんが日本人客のために日本語で解説してくださり、とても良かったです。

Wes (Shotaro), our guide, spoke Japanese, which made the explanations very easy to understand and helpful for me as a Japanese person.

Unfortunately, the day we participated was quite foggy and cloudy, so we couldn't see the sunset at all. Because of that, I didn't expect much from the starry sky, but after watching the sky for a while, it cleared up, and I was ultimately satisfied to see a sky full of stars! Mauna Kea, famous for its observatories from various countries, truly lived up to its reputation with a breathtaking starry sky that was even more wonderful than I had imagined. Thank you very much.

私たちが参加した日はあいにく霧や雲が多い日で夕陽は全く見れませんでした。そのため星空にも期待していませんでしたが、暫く空を眺めているうちに空が晴れ、結果的に満天の星空を見ることができたので満足しています！
各国の天体観測所があることで有名なマウナケア山ですが、噂に違わぬ満天の星空、想像以上に素晴らしかったです。ありがとうございました。

The guide was fluent in both English and Japanese, which made everything very easy to understand. We had two large vans, and since everyone in our group was Japanese, the guide communicated with us in Japanese. Their personality was great, and everything was handled with care and professionalism. The lively conversation during the journey was also a highlight, and everything from gathering to dispersing went very smoothly. The weather was nice, and the sunset and starry sky at the summit were incredibly beautiful. From 4,200 meters, the stars were so clear that we could see the Milky Way with the naked eye; it was the most beautiful starry sky I've ever seen. The previous day, they couldn't see the sunset, so it depends on the weather, but I believe this tour is worth participating in at least once in a lifetime.

英語と日本語を話せるガイドさんがいた為とてもわかりやすかったです。大型のバン2台だったのですが、私たちの方は全員が日本人だったのでガイドさんが日本語で対応してくれました。人柄もよく全てが丁寧でプロフェッショナルでした。移動中の軽快なトークも魅力で集合から解散まで全てがとてもスムーズでした。天気も良く山頂のサンセットと星空がとても綺麗でした。4200mから見る星空は肉眼で天の川がびっしり見えて、これまで見た星空で1番綺麗でした。前日はサンセットが見れなかったとのことで、天気次第ですが、一生に一度は参加する価値のあるツアーだと思います。

This time, I couldn't see the sunset (due to the bad weather from Hurricane Kiko), but I was able to see the stars. The summit is worth visiting just to see the observatories. The guides include some who can speak Japanese, making it a good tour (even those who can't speak Japanese are studying the language). However, please be aware that the summit is over 4000 meters high. The oxygen levels are low. Mount Fuji is 3700 meters, you know!

今回夕陽は観れませんでしたが、(ハリケーンKikoで天候不順)星は観る事ができました。
山頂は天文台群を観るだけでも価値はあります。ガイドも日本語が話せる方もいて良いツアーです。(話せないガイドさんも日本語勉強中とか。)
ただ、山頂は4000m超である事に注視して下さい。酸素濃度は低いです。
富士山は3700mですからネ‼️

The guide spoke English and did their best to communicate while translating in broken phrases. It was reassuring that jackets and oxygen tanks were available at all times. Meals and water were provided at my own timing, and I could eat and drink in the vehicle during transit, which was better than I expected in terms of taste. The travel time is long, but we stopped at shooting spots along the way, so it wasn't boring. The scenery is wonderful, but depending on the brightness of the moon, it can be difficult to see the stars, so checking the lunar calendar and adjusting the schedule would be best.

英語ガイドでしたが、翻訳しながらカタコトで頑張って伝えてくださりました。
ジャケットや酸素ボンベはいつでも利用できるので、安心できました。
食事や水も自分のタイミングでもらえて、移動中の車内でも飲食可で、期待していたよりも美味しかったので良かったです。
移動時間は長いですが、撮影スポットで止まりながら向かうので、飽きませんでした。
景色は素晴らしいですが、月の明るさによっては星が見えづらくなるので、月齢カレンダーでチェックして日程調整できるとベストです。

I participated at the beginning of September, and it was indeed very cold at the summit. I'm glad I brought a lightweight down jacket and disposable hand warmers. Since it was half a moon, there were fewer visible stars than I had expected, which was disappointing.

9月初めに参加しましたが、やはり頂上はとても寒く、薄手のダウンジャケットや使い捨てカイロ等を持参して良かったです。
半月だったので思っていたより、見える星が少なかったのが残念でした。

There were several groups of Japanese people, so we were also provided with a guide in Japanese! The guide was very kind, and I was able to enjoy myself with peace of mind! I was completely satisfied with the view from the summit, the sunset, and the night sky!

We enjoyed a perfect sunset and stargazing was cold, but worth it. The tour guide and driver were very good, professional and enthusiastic.

The first time, the tour was canceled due to rare bad weather. I made a comeback two days later. The sunset sinking into the sea of clouds was stunning. By chance, there was also an eruption at Kilauea, and I was able to see the phenomenon of the sky turning red above the sea of clouds, which made me very satisfied. Next time, I will go on a sunrise tour.

1回目は滅多にない悪天候により、ツアー中止。再度、2日後にリベンジしました。雲海に沈む夕陽。偶然、キラウエアの噴火もあり、雲海の上に赤く染まる現象も見えて、大満足でした。次回は日の出ツアーにいきます

I was very satisfied! The weather was great, and I was able to fully enjoy both the sunset and stargazing. The guide was very skilled at storytelling, which further enhanced my satisfaction with this tour. I'm really glad I participated!

P.S. Following your advice, I kept an eye on the volcano's live camera, and I was able to see the impressive lava flow during today's eruption. Thank you very much.

The good: Black Sand Beach and Volcanoes National Park are as good as they can be. Halema'uma'u Crater is amazing.

The average: The Coffee Farm we visited is a small one. We saw the coffee plants, but didn't see much about how the coffee is produced as the machines are taken apart and stored. Food is ok-ish, lunch is fast-food bento, dinner is at a small restaurant.

The unfortunate: We didn't see any star due to the cloudy weather. If you want to do stargazing, join a stargazing group as they will have better planning and equipment.

Since all participants were Japanese, the guide was in Japanese. In addition to Mauna Kea and the starry sky, they also explained about the Big Island during the drive there. I was worried about getting altitude sickness, but the guide asked about my condition and gave advice like taking deep breaths, which made me feel at ease. It got chilly as the sun set, but they lent me a down coat. I was really glad to have participated, as I was able to fully enjoy both the sunset and the starry sky!

参加者が日本人のみだったため、すべて日本語でのガイドでした。マウナケアや星空だけでなく、行きの車の中ではハワイ島についても説明してくれました。
高山病になってしまうのではと不安でしたが、ガイドさんが体調について聞いてくれたり、深呼吸をすると良いなどアドバイスもしてくれたため、安心できました。
夕陽が沈むにつれて冷え込みましたが、ダウンコートを貸していただけました。

Experience the awe of Mauna Kea, which is taller than Mount Fuji. You too can feel the emotion of gradually transitioning from sunset to twilight and becoming one with the starry sky. The cocoa that stands out against the cold sky is delicious. The guide's explanations and everyone's faces were flushed with excitement. It was a great experience, but if possible, the seats in the vehicle could be a bit more spacious. Having headrests would also be a nice addition.

富士山より高いマウナケアで体感する感動を貴方もどうぞ。
夕日から徐々に薄暗くなり星空と一体になる感動を貴方にも。
寒空に映えるココアは美味しいぞ。
ガイド説明も皆の顔も紅潮。
良かった体験なのですが、出来れば車内の座席はもう少しゆったりと。

My first zipline experience! There were about ten participants, and at first, we received help from the instructor to put on the necessary gear like harnesses and helmets. After that, we took a van up to the starting point on the hill. Once we arrived, we received a briefing on safety precautions for ziplining and then descended the first zipline over grass to confirm our basic movements. From there, we continued at quite a speed over a valley with three waterfalls and above the river. We took breaks along the way for hydration and fruit, enjoying the thrill of eight ziplines, including the longest one over 600 meters. (Originally there were nine, but the eighth zipline was under maintenance, so we did a total of eight.) The speed and height were a bit scary at first, but by the end, I was able to enjoy the scenery. Some experienced adults and children even went upside down while zipping, having a great time.

初めてのジップライン体験！10人くらいの参加者で、最初はインストラクターに手伝ってもらいながらハーネス？やヘルメットなどの必要な装備を装着。そこからワゴン車に乗って丘の上の方にある出発点に連れられて行かれます。到着したらジップライン滑空時の注意事項などの説明を受け1本目の草地の上のジップラインを下り基本動作を確認。その先は三連滝のある渓谷の上や川の上を結構なスピードで続けて下って行きます。途中で水分補給やフルーツをいただいて休憩も取りつつ最も長いので600mを超える長さのものを含む8本のジップラインを爽快感を味わいながら下りました。(本来9本ながら8番目のジップラインがメンテナンス作業中だったため計8本に)スピード感、高さとも最初はちょっと怖いくらいでしたが、最後の方では景色を楽しむ余裕が出て来ました。慣れている大人や子どもの中には逆さまになって下る人たちもいて楽しんでいました。
