I received a message the day before that the event might be canceled, and I was waiting for a notification on the day itself, but there was none. Somehow, I managed to get to the location with the rental car, but it was a bit hard to find.

With all that, I was feeling dissatisfied and anxious until it started, but once the horseback riding began, it was incredibly fun! The horses are just so smart. Since the altitude is high, it rained on some parts of the course, and there were muddy spots, but they walked very well.

The rain-soaked grasslands looked beautiful. In the midst of all this, a family of wild pigs, about ten of them, crossed the path like a scene from a movie. The two and a half hours flew by. It was truly a wonderful experience. I really want to go again!

そんなこんなで始まるまでは不満と不安でしたが、実際に乗馬が始まると、めちゃくちゃ楽しい！
お馬さんがとにかく、賢いです。標高が高いので雨がコースによっては降ったので、泥濘みもありましたが、すごく上手に歩いてくれます。
雨に濡れた草原がキレイに映ります。
そんな中を映画の一コマみたいに野生の豚の親子が10匹程で横断します。2時間半があっという間にです。本当に素晴らしい体験でした。。
すごくまた、行きたいです。

A few years ago, I had high expectations for the night sky I saw from the mid-mountain, but I was a bit disappointed this time. While it’s less affected by clouds, the surrounding lights seemed to interfere, and I didn't feel that much awe. Considering the cost-performance, I think a mid-mountain tour might be sufficient. However, this is a tour you can't miss if you want to experience 4,000 meters.

Despite my worries before going, it was the best experience, and I was very satisfied with the views. The sunset over the sea of clouds at an altitude of over 4000 meters brought me to tears. After the sun set, I forgot the cold while marveling at the starry sky, which was truly breathtaking. The guide primarily spoke English, but they did their best to communicate in my limited Japanese and took great care in preventing altitude sickness, which made me very happy as well.

行く前の心配とは裏腹に、最高の経験、景色を見ることができ大満足。
標高4000ｍ超の空間と目の前に広がる雲海に沈む夕日は涙が出る思いでした。
日が沈んだあとの満点の星空とは正にこのことかと寒さを忘れました。

We enjoyed our day. The staff were organized and very friendly. They ensured everyone was safe and comfortable. The grounds were beautiful and we enjoyed being able to explore the property and look at the waterfalls. We had a nice time sitting by the waterfall and having time to enjoy going in the water. We were a bit disappointed by the ride itself as were are more seasoned and experienced riders. The pace was very geared to beginners and some guests had no clue what they were doing and that slowed the activity. We also hoped to have a ride close by ocean and that isn’t part of this activity, not their fault. I should have looked into that more. We basically road around through trails in a field. One last bit of advice, they should chill the drink they serve better. We appreciated though being provided a drink and snack part way through.

There were few Japanese participants, but the guide was very kind and it was great! The weather was good, and I enjoyed it. When I reached the summit, I felt a bit dizzy, probably due to the lack of oxygen. The cocoa provided during the stargazing was delicious.

The stars and sunset were amazing! I've never seen such a beautiful starry sky! As expected, it was a precious experience that can only be had on the Big Island of Hawaii! The sandwiches and hot chocolate were delicious. However, the cold was intense (^｡^) They took photos with a DSLR during the sunset, but it was very disappointing that none of them were downloaded.

The guide was very kind, and there were many services that weren't mentioned when I signed up! In cold areas, they lent us windbreakers and jackets, and they also checked our meal preferences in advance and placed orders for us. There were several occasions where they provided Hawaiian juice and bottled water as well.

I mainly signed up for the volcano tour, but they also drove us around to other places while giving detailed explanations the whole time. The guide was English-speaking, but they spoke to us in the Japanese they had learned, which made it feel very homey and enjoyable.

My kids challenged themselves to speak in English, and the guide responded kindly, which made me very happy as a parent to see their growth during this tour. The weather was great, we got to see sea turtles, and we witnessed both daytime and nighttime lava flows. Additionally, we were able to observe an incredible number of stars in the night sky that I had never seen before. It was an unexpectedly amazing tour filled with good luck!

It was great that our driver and tour guide, Kouki, explained everything in both Japanese and English. At the visitor center, it was unexpected that we might not be able to reach the summit due to the fog, but I was happy that we were able to pass through safely.

The sunset view from the summit was incredibly beautiful, and it was moving to witness the moment the sun went down. After descending a bit from the summit, we enjoyed stargazing. The sky was a mix of clouds and clear patches, but the starry sky when there were no clouds was stunning. The guide also explained the constellations, allowing us to have a fulfilling time.

Lastly, sharing the photos taken at the summit with the sunset and the ones with the starry sky in the background (which the guide took with a proper camera) became wonderful memories of this trip!

ドライバー兼ツアーガイドのコウキさんが日本語と英語で説明をしてくださったのが良かったです。ビジターセンターのところで、霧のせいで道の先が見えなくて山頂に行けないかもってなっちゃったのは想定外でしたが、無事に通過することができ、嬉しかったです。
山頂から見るサンセットはすごく綺麗で、太陽が沈んでいく瞬間を見られたのは感動でした。山頂をしばらく下ったところで星空を鑑賞しました。曇ったり雲がはけたりするような空模様でしたが、雲のない時に見える星空は綺麗でした。また、星座についてガイドさんが解説してくれて、充実した時間を過ごすことができました。

It was great that we learned about telescopes while making many unexpected stops along the way. The guide also took photos for us and was very considerate, making the whole experience enjoyable. At the summit, there was a breathtaking view that felt unreal. It's definitely worth a visit! However, since we went on a full moon day, there were fewer stars, which was a bit disappointing, so I would like to go again someday.

I participated with my son and wife. They picked us up at the hotel at 2:20 PM. There were two other Americans from Minnesota joining the tour, making a total of five participants. Our guide, James, explained about the Big Island in a mix of Japanese and English while driving. The area near the summit of Mauna Kea felt like a different world, resembling a desert or the moon, and the sunset view from there was amazing. We could see famous facilities like the Subaru Telescope up close, which made me feel the reality of being on the Big Island. Unfortunately, due to being close to a full moon, we couldn't see the Milky Way well during stargazing, but we were able to use the telescope to view Jupiter and the moon. James was always attentive, which made me feel safe participating.

We had a blast exploring the WOH ranch on our ATVs. Be prepared to get covered in dust but the amazing views make it worth it! Our guides were amazing - making sure the whole group was comfortable and having fun. They shared info about the ranch as well as the island. In addition to being great tour guides they had a lot of great suggestions for places to eat and things to see while on the big island.

It was a 1.5-hour course, and I was very satisfied. Although it's a bit far from the sea, I was able to fully enjoy the mountains. There is no map at the entrance, so it's important to check carefully.

Just one word: it was amazing.
At 2:10 PM, they came to pick us up at our hotel, and we had time to acclimate to the altitude with care for altitude sickness.
The sunset viewed from the summit was truly spectacular, unlike anything I had seen before. After that, we moved by car to the observation point, and the sandwiches served in the car were cold but still delicious hot sandwiches, which I enjoyed even though I'm not a fan of bread.
The starry sky was blessed with good weather, and we could see the Milky Way. Our guide, James, showed us Jupiter and Venus using a telescope. He also used a pointer to trace the constellations in the actual night sky, making it easy to understand the constellations. Finally, they took photos of each participant, and in those pictures, even the invisible stars were captured, which was fantastic.
This was our first time visiting the Big Island as a couple, and I would love to come back before we reach the age limit of 70.
