The cushions are 4 inches thick as well 2 inches on the backrests so not sure why you mention no pads were available? Seat belts on a boat, that would be quite dangerous? Did you ever notify the crew of your discomfort during trip and where were you seated? We advise that smoother rides are near the rear of the vessel during the safety briefing.
