My family did this experience. It’s quite a drive to get to this place. I did this with my husband and 2 kids (ages 12 & 9). The tour guides were really friendly and informative. They chose our horses for us based on weight and experience. The horses know where they’re going so there’s little for the rider to do. The waterfall was very cold, deep, and there’s quite a current! Be prepared if you want to swim (we did!). They have kayaks and paddle boards if you prefer not to swim. My kids loved this experience and have been asking for horseback lessons since we got back. Bring a long sleeve shirt or light jacket just in case- we were chilly!

A great time at Umauma Falls Zipline Tour & Waterfall Swim Adventure / 9 Zipline Tour.

Although it rained, it was a great time with my visiting friends. Our group had about seven total members, and we all felt included and enjoyed the adventure together. When the weather turned into rain, and the wind made the rain even more interesting... We all decided to make the most of it and enjoy the unique experience. Our Guides were friendly, informative, and humorous. They take safety seriously but they take the time to make sure you are having fun while being safe. Safety tip... "Keep your head and face to one side of the tether, or you'll get a knuckle sandwich." We will return on a sunny day to enjoy the waterfalls, but it was a great time for all, and the guides made it extra memorable.

Drew's the best!

The six if us had a great time with Drew who kept us entertained while ensuring we understood the historical and cultural importance of many of the sites we visited. The dad jokes were appreciated over the course of the day travelling from Kona to Hilo and points in-between. The consensus highlight was the swim in the waterfall pool. Even the weather cooperated. Fabulous day! Mahalo Drew!

My hubby and I wanted to try this ATV experience since we enjoyed a similar one on Kauai the previous year and it did not disappoint!

Going through the trails and seeing the sites were completely beautiful. The private little waterfall/lagoon was also refreshing after being covered with the dust from the trail.

The one thing I would have liked is a bandana to cover the lower half of my face because the dust got all up in every crevice.

I was able to see about four waterfalls.

The scenery of Waipi'o Valley was also beautiful.

You can walk around the Botanical Garden in about an hour. It’s very worthwhile.

I swam in the waterfall pool. You can borrow a jacket for free, so even if you're not a good swimmer, you can still enjoy it. There is one place to change, but I couldn't use a shower.

Along the way, I was happy to receive water, juice, and snacks!

The guide was very friendly and a good person. Since I can't speak any English at all, I couldn't understand most of the explanations (I was prepared for that), but I think it’s a great tour for those who can understand. You can hear a lot of interesting stories!

I was glad that the weather was nice all day! ☀️

ワイピオ渓谷の景色も素敵でした。

ボタニカルガーデンは1時間位で一周できます。見応えたっぷりです。

滝壺で泳ぎました。ジャケットが無料で借りれるので泳ぎが下手でも楽しめます。着替えるところ（一つ）はありますが、シャワーは使えませんでした。

道中、お水やジュース、お菓子もいただけるので嬉しかったです！

ガイドさんもとてもフレンドリーで良い人でした。私自身が英語が全くできないので説明がほぼ理解できませんでしたが（覚悟はしてました）理解できる人にとってはとっても良いツアーだと思います。色んな話が聞けます！

You need to check this out if you are not an experienced ATV rider, the tour guides are very patient and chill.
You will arrive to a beautiful area, check in, bet your gear and go over a few house rules. HIGHLY RECOMMEND TO USE THE PROVIDED GOOGLES (not your sunglasses)! The road gets pretty dirt heavy and become difficult to see.
It's a short ride but they take you to a small water hole where you are given the opportunity to jump off the rock and into the water and afterwards a drive back.

Wear something that you can get dirty, do not wear white and do not bring items you do not want to get dirty. The dirt is like a clay color and sticks.

Our tours guides were great ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

The relaxed atmosphere was great for my first horseback riding experience. However, the horse only walked slowly, so I felt like I wanted to trot a bit.

At the waterfall along the way, there were also activities like stand-up paddleboarding (SUP). I thought of it just as a snack time, but if I had gone with that in mind, I might have been able to spend a bit more meaningful time there.

ただ馬はゆっくり歩くだけなので、ちょっと駆けたいかなって気もしました。

途中の滝つぼではSUPなどもありました。

The zip line experience was excellent! Ages 8-45 in our group all loved it!!
We weren’t sure about the waterfall swim/kayak, the kids said this was their favorite part of the time at Umauma, even better than zip lining!!

Highly recommended for people of almost any age!!

Totally awesome experience w professional zippers who keep safety first but make it super fun!! I embraced the challenge of the bridges to help me w my fear of high edges. Curtis and Eli , our guides, are very knowledgeable of Hawaii , and some hidden gems to visit!
Definitely recommend Kohala Zipline’s

Ive always had a fear of horses but this activity helped get over my fear. The ladies were absolutely amazing in teaching us how to ride the horses and giving us a good laugh while on the ride. This activity gives you a different view of the land surrounding the waterfall. A must do when visiting for sure!

If you’re looking for a fun and not so hot time this is the perfect activity. The area where this is held is fresh and vibrant and does a good job in showing out the land. Being able to run wild in a ATV is great and a good way to get dirty and ready for a swim at the falls! Early is the best as it can get packed later on and you’ll get the waterfall all to yourself. They provide drinks and snacks for you and the crew is a very cheerful and knowledgeable bunch that give you tips on how to enjoy your time in the island!

It was a wonderful experience! Fun Zipline tour in paradise! The hosts focused on safety and fun! So glad that I took my daughter. I recommend to anyone able bodied that isn’t super afraid of heights! One of the big islands must dos!

This was my third time horseback riding on the Big Island, but this time it was a tour that not only included riding but also allowed us to enter the waterfall pool. The weather was great, and the scenery was beautiful. At the waterfall pool, we were able to get close to the falls on a stand-up paddleboard. The water was a bit cold, but it was such a rare opportunity that I decided to jump in. I couldn't swim smoothly, but it was a valuable experience! The American family I was with had three boys who dove into the waterfall pool from the rocks, and the dad followed, with the mom joining in at the end! They looked like they were having a blast. There was also a zip line tour that went over the top of the waterfall (that looked pretty speedy and fun too). I definitely want to participate in that next time. Overall, it was a really enjoyable tour!

すごく楽しそうでした。他のツアーでは滝の上を通過するジップラインもありました（こちらもけっこうすぴーどがあり楽しそうでした）
次回はこちらも参加したなと、とにかく楽しいツアーでした。

Loved the ride!

Great staff, gentle horses, and a fun adventure. We had our 9 year old granddaughter who had never ridden but they went out of their way to make sure she was comfortable and with a horse that she could ride safely.
I have lots of riding experience and was able to enjoy the ride as well; they shared much information about the plants and animals and Hawaiian history. Btw, the swim at the half way point was very refreshing.

We arrived early some did not which put us behind.
Please please wear the right kind of clothes to ride a horse.
Not a dress and heels.
Beautiful ride horses healthy and well taken care of.
Our guides were awesome very knowledgeable of area and great conversation.
I wish there was more time at waterfall.
So pretty
It rained on the way back and being from The desert it was so fun.
I would definitely go again.

little disappointing

I was impressed with the safety measures taken by the staff for the ATV ride. The waterfall swim was very short, not nearly enough time given for this part of the activity. No safety measures taken for the swim. Rocks were slick - there should be a ladder or some way to enter and exit the water that does not put participants in danger of slipping. The trip down to the waterfall and then back up is somewhat physically taxing and should only be undertaken by physically fit persons.

My husband and I loved our ride at Waimea. Our guides Jamie and Julie were fun and made my husband (who was a first time rider) very comfortable on his horse. Jamie shared so much of his knowledge of the island with us while we were riding to and from the waterfall for which we were very grateful. The swim at the waterfall was gorgeous and refreshing. A wonderful experience overall and absolutely worth it! Highly recommend!

Amazing 1st-time ATV-ride

Our guide, John, was very patient with me. I've had zero experience riding an ATV but he took the time to make sure I was comfortable while encouraging me to do the solo ride (I was also given the option to switch to a two-seater). I'm so grateful because I had the best time and wish it could go on longer. We drove through the beautiful Umauma property -- rolling green gentle slope with a gorgeous view of the ocean and a sea of cows (yes, cows, that John had to persuade to move to give the riders more room to drive thru). We took a break at the watering hole where my son and husband enjoyed a cool dip near a low waterfall and enjoyed a quick snack. Thank you, John, for making it fun, adventurous and exciting!

This was by far one of the best places to go with ATVs. My husband and I have been all over the states and always ride ATVs and this was one we will always remember. Luckily we came after it rained and it was so muddy and perfect conditions for muddin!! There wasn't an inch on our bodies that wasn't covered in mud and we thoroughly enjoyed it. Would highly recommend this! The waterfall part was adorable and worth getting in the freezing water.

The guides were nice and professional. The trail was not as challenging or scenic as what the site portrayed. However my teenage children did enjoy it. The short walk to the waterfall was a nice touch and made the experience better.
