Big Island
Despite a windy day, Captain Cindy was able to find a great place to snorkel. The briefing provided by the captain described the best ways to snorkel. I learned something new! I felt safe as the crew had a member who went on a surfboard to watch over the participants.
I can’t believe the hospitality of the crew— serving drinks, food and snacks with ease.
This was one of the highlights of our trip.
We will give 5 *****, The tour was amazing. Derrick did an awesome job in keeping us all informed with many details and of course quizzed us as well. It was a fun trip. Thanks for taking care of the special request on our food as well. Food wise- it was very well organized and catered. Breakfast and coffee at the coffee plantation was very apt. Wine tasting and Lunch was very well paired. Snacks and soda at the waterfalls was cool! Raincoats and umbrella was very helpful when it started raining while heading to the volcano view point. Superbly planned and catered to everyone’s needs. We will definitely recommend our friends and family.
Nicely done and very interesting. The scenery was fantastic. The guides were knowledgeable and accommodating. The veggie lasagna dinner was better than expected. It was a memorable lifetime experience. The snow that had fallen recently was an added bonus.
The tour was not complete… the main atractive “volvcano park” was terrible… we was there less than 1:30… terrible !!
We saw two whales during our trip! We went on a tour in December, when the whale watching season just started, yet we were lucky to encounter two whales. The tour departed from Waikaloa, which was a bit of a drive from our place in Kona. However, it is supposed to be a better area for spotting whales. Overall, we had a very pleasant experience.
Travis was fantastic during our trip up Mauna Kea. His knowledge and presentation made it interesting and insightful. He personally took the extra time to make sure the adventure was complete. We even had snow, something unexpected for travelers to Hawaii.
Excellent pageantry and making educational entertainment fun for the whole family that includes history of the various South Pacific tribes together with an excellent orchestra, singing and an outstanding master of ceremonies. The buffet food was fine but you go here to enjoy a majestic recreation of Hawaiian tradition!
The experience was amazing. A big ray came so close touched my elbow.
Hawaiian Eyes and our guide, Stefan were awesome to the nth degree. Funny, friendly, helpful, prepared, photographic prowess, and he even stopped to help an elderly woman, not attached to any tour, after she collapsed at the side of the road in a snow bank, due to altitude sickness. First aid training, oxygen tanks, blankets, and past experience likely saved her life.
We really enjoyed ourselves on our cruise. The captain and crew were amazing and incredibly attentive. It was a choppy night on the ocean but they made it fun and it helped to take our minds off of it. We even spotted a few whales on our trip. We highly recommend!
Aloha,
Thanks for taking the time to provide feedback about your Pau Hana Sunset Cruise. We're so happy to read that despite the choppy ocean conditions, you enjoyed your cruise and your interactions with our Captain and crew. We know there are a lot of activity providers on the island and we're honored you chose to both join us and to recommend us!
Mahalo and a hui hou!
It’s funny to say, but a tour to the summit of a snowy mountain was the highlight of our Hawaii trip! Hiro was the best guide anyone can ask for. He also does the Lava walk tour which I’ll be sure to book with him next time we’re back to the islands.
We had an amaZing time! We saw whales. The crew was incredible. No dolphins tho which was a bummer but that’s ok!
This tour was Amazing! We have traveled to many fabulous places around the globe with lots of adventure & this tour was right up there with the best! Our guide, Gage, was fun, informative, patient, and an all-round delightful young man! Having to reschedule due to the Kona Low & Mauna Kea blizzard was easy & ultimately a better tour due to lots of beautiful snow at the summit! Our guide prepared us well for the seriously high altitude and checked on everyone frequently! Be sure to pack hats & gloves and the tour provided parkas were plenty warm. A couple e of things to keep in mind before going: bring a refillable water bottle, remember to nose in & slow pursed lip breathing out, bring your camera or cell phone for pictures, visit the restroom at the visitor center so you won’t have to go at very high elevation, and eat before the tour begins (the provided dinner is pretty simple). Just pack a smile and enjoy the “high”! The stargazing with the telescope was extra special! Who knows, we saw a Jedi, a snowman, & a crazy snowboarder so maybe you will too! Thanks for a great memory!
Enjoyed the waterfall, guides were great, but a lot of money for essentially 2 longer lines over ravines. Good for beginners, but I would call it 2 or 3 lines, since the others were essentially trainers that were only a couple seconds each.
Our entire family had an amazing evening swimming with the Manta Rays, it was magical. The crew, with Captain Bryce were fantastic, knowledgeable, and fun. Highly recommend this trip!
Aloha!
Thank you for sharing your great experience!
We are very happy to hear that.
Yes!! Guests will experience a magical night with Manta Ray and our crews;)
Derek had so much knowledge and an amazing personality! He made the tour personal and fun! This tour really takes you through some of the coolest parts of this island. Coffee farms, bakeries, black sand beaches with sea turtles, volcano glow, lava tubes, the most spectacular view of the stars, and so much more. It’s well worth the experience. The food was not so great, but everything else was beyond amazing so it made up for it. 10/10 would recommend this tour!
Wonderful trek through Waipio Valley. They staff was extremely attentive and reachable throughout the ride. Beautiful surroundings and luxury delivery down the valley to the beautiful horses. I am a very inexperienced rider and I felt very comfortable from the drive down the steep terrain to leading my horse on the trail. My horse was very responsive and this made taking in the scenery a easy, enjoyable and unforgettable experience! Simba was a great horse!
Shoyi and Hiro were wonderful! Very knowledgable and patient with many questions that were asked. We learned so much! Shoyi's photography was a bonus! This was a fantastic tour and an experience we will never forget. Thank you!
Perfect activity for kids or those with limited mobility. Great crew and fun experience.

Mahalo
The ride was fun! Horses were well behaved. My horse was kinda hungry most of the time! We saw taro fields and the guides told us a lot about the native history of the Waipo valley. Enjoyed overall.
Pirate Wednesdays - Would highly recommend. You get a comedy show as well as the manta rays
Aloha! Thank you for joining with us.
We are glad you enjoyed our tour!
A Hui Hou:)
Tour was professionally done, we saw to many Mantas to count...was such a beautiful experience:). Hot tea and good discussion afterwards was great! Thank you so much!!
We saw so many mantas!!!! It was amazing and awesome!!!! The hot tea was nice as well. Thank you!
Excellent service, very friendly and accommodating music to everyone on the cruise!

We had an amazing time on this tour. PJ, our guide, could not have been better. He was so entertaining and informative, and made the whole day fun & interesting. The highlight was getting to see the lava at night - truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Highly recommend!
Dastan was a wonderful guide, very knowledgeable with a great sense of humor. Had some much knowledge of everything Hawaiian. Enjoyed all parts of the tour, was a long day and glad we were the first stop on returning!!!!
This Manta Ray Night Snorkel was near the top of my husbands life list! It was very well organized and the guides were very informative. We saw at least 5-7 Rays. Many came up quite close to check us out. We would definitely do this again, but next time we will bring the camera! I felt very safe the whole time and for me, 45 minutes was just the right amount of time.
This was our very first time in Hawaii, and of course our first luau. The show was great, the food was good, and so were the drinks! It was a beautiful evening and very well done, and completely safe! I highly recommend this luau whether it’s your first or you are a seasoned professional!
It was a smaller boat, so I felt a little bit squished, but I guess that is how submarines must feel!
Learning about the manta ray and watching them feed was amazing! The crew is hawaii is always so helpful assisting me and caring for us! I would recommend this to anyone and love all my excursions here- MAHALO!!
