Paradise Helicopters - Volcano, Lava & Waterfalls Flight from Hilo
Great lava views!
Reviewed by: Oscareen, 2022/04/07There was some AC issue that needed fixing, and caused a 2hr delay. However, the views from the helicopter were amazing! We were able to see a bunch of waterfalls, a natural arch, and of course… LAVA!
It was a great experience, and we’ll always remember the memories!

This is the best excursion
Reviewed by: Kathy, 2022/04/03We travel to Kona every other year. We discovered the dinner cruise the last time we went and loved it so we definitely booked it again last week. This year was even better. The crew were ready to help anyone needing help. We were waited on and spoiled. The food was tasty. The historian did a great job as did the music entertainment. We took the cruise at the end of March which should have been too late to view a whale. One popped up right beside the boat. The captain steered the boat to try to follow the whale so we could get another view. It started raining later and once again the captain did what he could to take us out away from the rain. We will definitely do this the next time we return to Hawaii.

First Timers vs. Veteran Luau
Reviewed by: Cynthia Haynes, 2022/03/20For those of us who had been to previous luaus this experience was amazing. The attention to history and story telling was very interesting. The costumes, dances and national history was educational as well as entertaining. (Especially the fire dancer!) Some of our friends had never been to a luau before and also thought it was wonderful. The food was presented beautifully and delicious. (The drinks were excellent too!) We even tried the poi because this was the first time it had ever been explained to us how to eat it and with what food combination. The location was easy to find and parking was ample. The staff were all friendly and knowledgeable. It was a great experience for our group of six and would highly recommend this event.

Fun First Night on the Island

Staff were attentive, meal was varied to allow for local cuisine and picky eaters in the group ( who knew Chick nuggets and Mac was customary but a fan fav for the kids!). Banana bread delicious. The show entertaining and ambiance pretty overlooking the water.

Although the van drive down and up the valley was bumpy, we were glad it wasn't the wagon or hiking on foot because of the long, windy steep hill. We saw the waterfalls from afar (not up close), wild horses, taro fields, streams and river. We were a little disappointed that the tour did not go the black sand beach. Overall the wagon tour is a good way to see the valley below, especially for those who are not experienced in hiking uphill.

It was perfect: the food was fine , not Grand but I just am a picky eater so I think it was fine. The show was awesome !!! Well done! The host of the show did a good job also : getting old so his voice wasn’t fantastic but who cares .

Family fun

The food was tasty, but not a lot of choices for picky eaters. The show was fun and the kids were thrilled by the fire dancer! Unfortunately, due to Covid restrictions, they did not have any pre-event activities to keep the kids engaged. My daughter really wanted to learn to hula dance as advertised, but they did not have it the night we went. I cannot fault them for taking Covid precautions. Again, overall, the whole family walked away from this happy and with good memories.

excellent experience for those with disabilities.

They went above and beyond to make the to her accessible for my daughter who has cerebral palsy and challenges walking. The pilot was phenomenal with his knowledge base and engaging us in answering questions. Doing the early morning tour was also great as we did not have a whole lot of clouds and the weather was great.

渓谷の自然観光と馬車移動が楽しい～

集合場所までレンタカーで行き、3組ほどがワゴンに乗り込み渓谷へ。ワゴン車内は冷房ガンガン。外は日差しが強くて暑い。途中下車して雄大な景色を楽しみ、トイレ休憩もあり。ワゴンを降りて、オープンスタイルの馬車で移動。ガタガタ揺れますがのんびりと景色を楽しむにはとても良いです。帰りのワゴンからも雄大な景色を観ながら戻ります。半日かけてトレッキングして滝の近くまで行く方々に出会いました。ツアーは、滝の近くには行かれませんが、歩かず、乗り物で観光できるのは便利です。

Big Island Whale Watching Cruise from Waikoloa - Hawaii Nautical [Dec-Mar]
Whale watching near hilton for the masses
Reviewed by: Aki, 2022/02/21Overall it's an must do cruise to go out on the ocean on a Catamaran near the Waikoloa area.
We saw whales from far off as it was afternoon and the bigger ship is not attractive to the whales.
We would do the morning trip on the powerboat with fewer people or go for the sunset cruise.There is not much info provided during the cruise so it's lacking the fun in whale watching as it can be boring if nothing happens.
It would also be better if there was a spotter pointing to the breaches as it happens very quickly and multiple people spotting can be confusing.
After you get on board you are mostly left on your own and the boat only goes less than half a mile out.
We saw more whales from the shore than on the boat but it was good to get out on the ocean with this cruise.

Big Island Whale Watching Cruise from Waikoloa - Hawaii Nautical [Dec-Mar]
This was an experience of a lifetime.
Reviewed by: Mike Miller, 2022/02/18Our family’s first experience whale watching was truly impressive. The crew was professional with information and safety. They did not leave out the fun and had a nice variety of refreshments. We did take the 1:30 pm tour and saw many whales.
The confirmation email as to directions to find them was not so great. They are not in front of the Lava Lava restaurant ( which kept us circling for 10 mins) they are to the right of iLava Lava down along the beach 100 yards aprox, is 2 palm trees on the beach w/ small orange sign to check in. You should notice the platoon boat and catamaran out in the water awaiting for you.
Have extra cash available for tip they are worth it.

Nice ride but watch the front seat upgrade.
Reviewed by: Mike, 2022/02/12No doubt the ride itself was amazing! We were able to see a ton of the Big Island and our pilot was great.
However, the interaction at the desk was a little shady. When we arrived we had four in our party plus another passenger who was also assigned to our group. As we checked in the receptionist asked if we wanted to upgrade as the two front seats were still available. First off, that seems strange since there are only four seats across the back - obviously someone in a group of five would need a front seat. The problem came when one in my group wanted to upgrade to the front. They charged the full amount for both front seats. Then the receptionist pulled the single passenger to the side, giving her a "free" upgrade to the other front seat... great for her! If it would have been explained that the full price for both seats would be charged then another from my group would have taken the other front rather than give it away. I understand they have to distribute weight, etc. but the way it was handled was less than desirable. It's unfortunate that a shady sales experience soured an otherwise great day.

Deluxe Big Island ATV Tour & Waterfall Swim at Umauma Falls
Amazing 1st-time ATV-ride

I've had zero experience riding an ATV but he took the time to make sure I was comfortable while encouraging me to do the solo ride (I was also given the option to switch to a two-seater). I'm so grateful because I had the best time and wish it could go on longer. We drove through the beautiful Umauma property -- rolling green gentle slope with a gorgeous view of the ocean and a sea of cows (yes, cows, that John had to persuade to move to give the riders more room to drive thru). We took a break at the watering hole where my son and husband enjoyed a cool dip near a low waterfall and enjoyed a quick snack. Thank you, John, for making it fun, adventurous and exciting!

Perfect birthday celebration

The staff was wonderful, the waiters were attentive and friendly. There will definitely be a next time to the island. The acknowledgment of birthdays, anniversaries and honeymooners was a joy to see. I met one of the birthday girls and a newly married couple it was a pleasure to celebrate with them all. ALOHA!!
