I requested this SUP lesson because I wanted to enjoy the ocean in Hawaii, even though I had no surfing experience. The instructor wasn't fluent, but he taught me carefully in Japanese, which allowed me to paddle smoothly once we got out on the water.
And to my surprise, we encountered a sea turtle while paddling! I was told that it's quite rare to see one at this time of year, so it was a valuable experience.
One downside was that the reception location was hard to find. This time, it was at Gray's Beach, but there was no sign with the word "veltra" anywhere, so I was confused about what to do. It would have been helpful to know in advance what kind of sign to look for at the reception.

先生はペラペラではないけれど日本語で丁寧に教えて下さったので、海に出てからもスムーズにパドルを漕ぐことが出来ました。
そして、なんと漕いでいる途中でウミガメに遭遇‼︎この時期ではかなり珍しいんだそうで、貴重な経験が出来ました。
ひとつ残念だったのは、受付の場所が分かりづらかったこと。今回はGray's beach受付だったのですが、「veltra」の文字がどこにも無かったのでどうすればいいか迷いました。事前にどういう看板の受付なのか教えて頂けると良かったです。

Despite my companion, who is afraid of heights and dislikes water, feeling nervous before the jump, once we were in the air, they were laughing joyfully. I even worried they might be losing it from fear... But thanks to the motion sickness medication, there was no seasickness, and once we were up, the breathtaking view was all mine. In a way, it was a graceful experience (laughs). The staff and the other people in our group were also enjoyable and satisfied! The driver who picked us up was so chatty that I wondered if they were okay, but they seemed to be really considerate and engaged us in various conversations. Thanks to that, the journey was never boring (＾∇＾).

My husband had a high fever the day before, and I was worried about canceling, but thankfully his fever went down on the day of the trip. We both felt unwell and took some motion sickness medicine we bought at the ABC Store, unsure if it would help. There were three groups of Japanese people. There was hardly any time to stop, and I truly felt it was worth coming for the breathtaking views and the pleasant experience right from the start. After it ended, we quickly finished by watching others, and I didn't feel sick at all. You can get the photos on an SD card for $30. They show you the pictures, so you can decline if you want. I would love to ride again when I go to Hawaii.

When you arrive at the meeting place, you'll be taken by caravan to the departure location. A high-energy man came to greet us.
On the bus, I met others who would be participating in parasailing and we chatted. Since we had participated in the Honolulu Marathon, we had a common topic to bond over.
Upon arrival, we checked in, and a young man guided us to the boat that would take us to the parasailing spot.
There are no changing rooms, so I recommend wearing your swimsuit under your clothes.
You will be instructed on how to put on the harness. Then, you'll take turns parasailing. Even if you can't speak English, you can understand through gestures. All dangerous items are removed. You can bring a GoPro.
If you want to take your phone, I recommend putting it in a waterproof case and hanging it around your neck.
I felt nervous before flying, but since you ascend slowly, it's not scary. The harness provides stability, so I wasn't anxious even at 150 meters above the ground.
At the end, the young man driving the boat adjusts it so that you can dip your feet in the sea (photo included).
Also, if you become friendly with others parasailing, you can take turns taking pictures of each other. We entrusted our phones and cameras to each other and took great photos.
Finally, the young man who drove the boat asks for a tip. It feels awkward not to pay, so I recommend bringing some change.

携帯を持って行きたい方は、防水ケースに入れて、首からさげておけるようにしておくことをお勧めします。
飛ぶ前はドキドキしましたが、ゆっくり上昇していくので怖くはありません。ベルトで安定感があるので上空150メートルも不安はありませんでした
最後に足を海につけられるように、ボートを運転するお兄さんが調整してくれます。（写真あり）
また、一緒にパラセーリングをする方と仲良くなっておくと、写真の取り合いっこができます。
それぞれに携帯を預けたり、カメラを預けたりなどして、良い写真を撮り合いしました
最後にボートの運転をしたお兄さんにチップをお願いされます。払わないのも気まずいので、小銭を持って行くことをお勧めします。
最後にまたホテル前まで車で送ってくれます。

I took motion sickness medication to prevent seasickness, changed into my swimsuit, and got into the pickup car. However, upon arrival, it was canceled due to strong winds. What I realized after coming to Waikiki is that the waves are very small. My children (ages 13 and 11) participated, and they were able to stand up on the longboard right away on those small waves. The instructor pushes them from behind, so even kids can ride easily. Once they get on, they can stay up for quite a while. I think they were out there for about 30 to 40 minutes. After finishing, we had to wait about 30 minutes for the bus to arrive, and later I thought that since we stayed at the Sheraton and the location was near the Marriott, we could have just walked back. In the morning, the pickup was also about 30 minutes late. The transportation service was quite unreliable.

I participated with my partner. Every time I come to Hawaii, I can't help but join in on parasailing because it's so much fun. The excitement of going up into the sky and the surrounding scenery is just amazing! As we go higher and higher, when we reach the top, it becomes a quiet space just for the two of us, where we can only hear the sound of the wind (*^^*).
From the boat, a photographer was taking pictures, and it was great to have memories captured both in my heart and in physical form! When I looked at the photos I received, I was surprised at how big my smile was! (laughs) There were also families participating, like a father, mother, and daughter, and they looked like they were having a lot of fun.

It was my first experience. Since I was there, I did the 150. The view from the sky was amazing. After going out to sea by boat, those who are prone to seasickness might need medication. It's something you can't do in everyday life, so I definitely recommend trying it!

All the staff spoke English, but the explanations for the equipment were easily conveyed through gestures, making everything smooth. There were two staff members on the boat who really energized the atmosphere, and it was a lot of fun. Although there is a height requirement when booking, I felt that the height and duration were about the same for every session, so I went with the cheapest option. (laughs) During our session, three out of four groups were Japanese, and we exchanged our own cameras to take pictures. When disembarking, I gave tips to the two staff members. We also tipped the driver for our transfer, but I noticed that other guests did not give tips. The pickup was smooth, and they helped us get on and off the vehicle, so I felt it would be better to give a tip if possible.

We were worried about the weather since it rained heavily the day before, but on the day itself, there was no wind and we were blessed with good weather. They picked me up in a car with cheerful music blasting! My energy was high from the morning! After getting off the bus and waiting for a while, I was guided to the boat. There were only two families, who seemed to be American. When I asked the staff to take a photo, they gave me an SD card and said it would be $30, so I decided to go for it. Honestly, it was expensive, but I’m glad I bought it for the memories. It mentioned to bring a bath towel and a change of clothes, but since only my feet got wet, I didn’t need them. The scenery was beautiful, and I felt it was a great experience to have for the first time.
