Almost all of us were Japanese, and while enjoying Mai Tais and chatting with people from various countries, we had a wonderfully fulfilling time swaying gently on the calm waves while watching the sunset! There was a gentleman from the mainland United States who mentioned it was his eighth time participating, and I completely understood his feelings. I highly recommend it!

For those who don't drink Mai Tais, there were also non-alcoholic drinks, white wine, and canned beer available, along with small snacks to enjoy while taking in the sway of the boat.

I really recommend it!

I think it was the right decision to choose this show over the Sunset Dinner Cruise, traditional luau show, and magic show. The Royal Hawaiian Theater is located on the 4th floor of the Royal Hawaiian Center, Building C. My husband and I booked the backstage tour + VIP dinner (front row table seats). We entered at 6 PM and were taken to a room with sofas where we took commemorative photos with a Michael Jackson impersonator, and after enjoying champagne and snacks, we were given a tour of the actual stage and received explanations about the stage setup.

After that, we had our meal at a table in the first-floor audience area. Our seats were in the center of the front row. The seating arrangement on the first floor was for tables associated with the dinner courses, with the front row reserved for the backstage + VIP dinner course, followed by the VIP dinner course seats behind them. Other course guests were seated on the second floor (without tables).

The meal included shrimp, salmon, and beef steak, along with drinks. Honestly, I didn't have high expectations, but to my surprise, it was very delicious. The beef steak was a generous size for Japanese people.

The stage featured about eight beautiful female dancers and six male dancers who performed in rotation, including hula dancing and dances to the music. There was also fire dancing. The impersonators of Elvis Presley and Michael Jackson were quite impressive, making for a packed and entertaining show. I had previously seen a popular transgender show in Hong Kong, which only featured lip-syncing to karaoke music, but this was a live performance with two drum sets, electric guitar, bass, and more. I'm not very knowledgeable about music, but I had a great time.

One concern I would like to mention is that the guests in the first-floor seating were still finishing their meals when the guests from the second floor came in, which wasn't pleasant for either party. I hope this point can be improved.

If your budget allows, I recommend choosing the dinner course, as it brings you closer to the stage, and the dancers come right in front of you for photos, plus the food is delicious, leading to a high level of satisfaction.

　ロイヤル・ハワイアン・シアターは、ロイヤルハワイアンセンターＣ棟４階にあります。私たち夫婦は、バックステージツアー＋ＶＩＰディナー（ステージ前テーブル席）コースを予約しました。ＰＭ６時に入場してソファーのある部屋に通されてマイケル・ジャクソンのそっくりさんと記念撮影、そしてシャンパン・おつまみをいただいた後、実際の舞台にあげてもらって舞台装置などの説明を受けました。
　そのあと、観客席1階のテーブル席で料理をいただきました。席は、最前列中央でした。席順は、1階はディナー付のコース用のテーブルのあるスペースで、前列はバックステージ+ＶＩＰディナーコース。その後ろにＶＩＰディナーコース席。その他のコースの方は2階席（テーブルなし）でした。
　料理はエビ、サーモン、ビーフステーキの料理で飲み物付き。正直あまり期待はしていなかったのですが、予想に反してとてもおいしかったです。ビーフステーキは日本人には充分の大きさでした。
　ステージは、美女約８人、男性約６人のダンサーが入れ替わり立ち代わり出演し、フラダンスあり、曲に合わせたダンスあり。ファイヤーダンスあり。プレスリーとマイケル・ジャクソンのそっくりさんもなかなかのもので飽きさせない盛りだくさんのものでした。以前に香港で人気のニューハーフショーを見たのですが、それは口パクでカラオケの音楽で踊るだけだったのですが、これは、生演奏です。ドラム２セット、エレキ、ベースなど。私は音楽には詳しくありませんが、非常に楽しむことができました。

Since my husband was busy, I mostly searched for and decided on the optional tours myself. To be honest, I wasn't expecting much from the show; my main goal was dinner. As I researched, I realized that Hawaii is quite expensive. Even a little drink and food at a casual restaurant could easily cost around $50 per person... So, considering the price with the show included, I thought it might be worth it, especially since the reviews were good, and I made the reservation almost on my own.

We chose the most expensive option, the Green Room. First, we were taken to the VIP room, where a beautiful woman welcomed us with a pre-dinner drink and pupu (snacks). Then, Elvis made a grand entrance for a photo opportunity before swiftly leaving, but unfortunately, he didn't resemble him much. While we were waiting, another man appeared to guide us backstage, explaining the dancers' costumes and props as he walked us through the narrow backstage area. I was surprised by how heavy the costumes and props were.

After that, we were shown to our table, right in the front and center. Lobster was already on the table. We enjoyed drinks and the dishes that were brought out one after another. I'm sorry to say that the taste of all the meals, starting from the first pupu, was disappointing (the steak and dessert, the pineapple ice, were delicious).

Once we finished our leisurely dinner, it was showtime. Suddenly, someone descended from above, which surprised us! The Hawaiian show began. The dancers were all handsome and beautiful, and of course, their dancing was wonderful! With Hawaiian music playing, we really felt like we were in Hawaii, and then Elvis appeared again. Michael also made an appearance! He resembled Michael from his childhood (^_^). After a pretty packed show, suddenly a person holding a fire stick appeared. まずVIPルームに通され、美しい女性に食前酒とププ(おつまみ)でもてなされ、そこへ颯爽とプレスリーが登場し記念写真を撮ってまた颯爽と去って行きましたが残念ながら似ていませんでした。そうこうしていると、別の男性がバックステージの案内に現れて、ダンサーの衣装や小道具の説明をしながら狭いステージ裏を回ります。思いのほか衣装や小道具が重かったのには驚きでした。

それが終わってテーブル席に案内されると、1番前のど真ん中。
すでにロブスターがテーブルに。ドリンクをいただき、次々に運ばれてくるお料理。
ごめんなさい、最初のpupuに始まり全てのお食事の味は残念でした。(ステーキとデザートのパインアイスは美味しかった)

ゆっくりディナーが終わると、ショータイムです。
すると突然上から人がスルスル降りてきてビックリ！ハワイアンショーの始まりです。ダンサーは美男美女揃いで、もちろん踊りも素晴らしい！
ハワイアンミュージックで、ハワイに来たんだ感が盛り上がったところで、さっきのプレスリー登場。
マイケルも登場！子供の時のマイケルに似てました(^_^)
ここまで、けっこう盛りだくさんのショーの後半、突然火の棒を持った人が現れます。
ファイアーナイフダンスは、本当に息を飲む迫力です。
最後に、全員でALOHA〜と手を振りお別れ。
本当のところソックリさんはあまり似ていないし、そもそもプレスリーを知らない人もいるけれど、パフォーマンスは最高です。
エンターテインメントとしては充分楽しめるもので、期待していなかった分余計に感動しました。
帰りに、出来上がったプレスリーとの写真をいただき、出口で出演者たちとお別れ。
この写真は、他のコースの方達は別に25払っていたので込み込みのこちらの方がお得かもしれません。
さらに、私達はモニター体験で申し込んだので、お得感倍増です。

ただ、お食事が残念で星１つマイナスしましたが、それもハワイらしさと思えば良いのでしょう。
初めこのツアーにそれほど乗り気ではなかった夫の方が、私よりも感激していました(^_^)
ハワイ初めての方はハワイを満喫、何度目かの方も素晴らしいショーを堪能できるのでおススメです。

I participated because I could drink alcohol and the prices were cheaper than others. The drinks included Mai Tai cocktails and canned beer. We went quite far out and were able to see the sunset. The view of Waikiki and Diamond Head from the sea is amazing! Since it's all-you-can-drink, I could drink without hesitation. Next time, I want to join on a Friday.

My wife and I, both in our forties, took our very first trip to Hawaii, and on the first night, we attended this show with VIP dinner seating. To sum up my feelings in one word: "a series of moving experiences."

First, the VIP dinner. I’m just an ordinary office worker, and participating in a dinner show from a VIP seat is something I’ve never experienced in Japan. It all started with a warm welcome, including a greeting from a star and a welcome drink, showcasing a touch of elegance. Next, we took our seats for dinner. The combination of lobster and tenderloin steak is something you wouldn’t find in Japan. The taste was also GOOD (I struggled a bit with cracking the unfamiliar lobster shell. There was one wet towel at our seat, but it wasn’t enough. My own wet towel came in handy).

Even from the general seating, you can see the performers' faces clearly. We chose the dinner option due to our anxiety about not knowing where to eat on our first day in Hawaii, but there are plenty of places to eat in the heart of Hawaii, and most have Japanese menus. So, for those who want to enjoy the show at a lower price, I think you can have a great time from the general seating without dinner.

先ずはディナー付ＶＩＰ。私は一般的な会社員。ディナーショーをＶＩＰ席で参加など日本では未体験の領域です。スターの出迎え、ウェルカムドリンクなど洒落のきいたおもてなしから始まります。次に席に着いてディナー。ロブスター＆テンダロインステーキという日本ではありえないコラボ。味もＧＯＯＤでした（慣れないロブスターの殻割りに苦戦。濡れおしぼり１枚は席にありましたが、足りない。持参していたＭＹ濡れおしぼりが活躍）
尚、一般席であっても演出者の顔がはっきりわかるくらいの近さです。私達は初のハワイ旅行初日で食事するところが解らないという不安からディナー付を選択しましたが、場所的にハワイの中心地で食べるところは沢山あり、日本語メニューが大多数なのでこのショーを格安で見たい方はディナーなしの一般席でも楽しめると思います。
ショーはエンターテイメント大国アメリカらしいものでした。主には「フラダンス」「ファイアーダンス」「スーパースター」で構成されています。日本でもフラショーはありますが、本場は一味違います。いつまでも見ていたい。ファイアーダンスは炎につつまれた棒を目に止まらぬ早業でくるくると回し、感動の渦でした。そしてスーパースター　マイケルジャクソンのキレッキレのダンス、本人のライブには行けませんでしたが、これで十分に盛り上がることができました。老若男女問わずおすすめしたいショーです。

I read other experiences and was a bit worried about not being able to blend in with the other participants, but it was not a problem at all. Everyone enjoyed their time in their own way, and we were able to relax and watch the sunset while sipping on Mai Tais. The staff were all very friendly and made it easy to enjoy our time.

I was quite worried about getting seasick before participating, but it turned out to be fine! Once we got out into the open sea, the wind picked up and it started to sway a bit. Whether or not you get seasick also depends on your physical condition, and I thought I might be tired from my last day in Hawaii, so I took some motion sickness medication beforehand. This time, we participated as a family of five.

サンセットは残念ながら、曇りだったので...
クルーはすべて英語での説明。
お客さんもすべてと思っていたのですが、
今回は３分の１くらい日本人が乗船していました。
乗船するときは波があるので、場合によっては太ももぐらいまで濡れてしまいます。
早い口調での英語、しかも長い説明でったので、分からないこともありましたが、何とかなるもので、海外の人たちはノリがいいし、一緒に楽しむことがいいと思います。
クルーたちが冗談混じりで、盛り立ててくれるし。
お酒が好きな人にはさらに最高でしょう。
レゲー調の音楽が流れる中で
マイタイ、シャンパン、ジュース、etc...飲み放題。
ただし、調子に乗りすぎると少し気分が悪くなるかも。
景色も最高です。海側からのワイキキの眺めもなかなかのものでした。
波に乗りながら行くので少し水しぶきがかかります。それも楽しみの一つです。
少し沖に出ると帆をあげて、風を受けての進行なので、ヨットそのものです。
カヌーが２連つないだ感じなので、横揺れがあまりなく、
安心して乗っていることができました。
約１時間半の乗船でした。
なかなかの穴場的なツアーでした。
次は、昼に水着を着て思いっきり楽しみたいと
みんなで話していました。

I reserved a ticket because it was highly recommended in Sho Aikawa's book, and I thought, really?? But just as my brother said, it was great!! As soon as I entered the store, a lively Elvis greeted us with a pose. The high level of Elvis's singing, MJ's dancing, the beautiful and fun hula, the impressive fire dance, and the excitement when Elvis came down to the audience to drape leis and scarves over us created a fantastic atmosphere; the hour flew by. Just as Sho Aikawa wrote, I enjoyed a wonderful show. I will definitely go again when I come back to Hawaii!

We participated in the VIP+ Backstage Tour. There were only the two of us on this course! It was a fun and unique experience that gave us a sense of superiority. The location is inside the Royal Hawaiian Center, right in the heart of Waikiki, which allowed us to enjoy it leisurely after shopping. After checking in, we entered through the VIP entrance and enjoyed a welcome drink and dinner! The food was very good, and there were Japanese staff members, which made us feel at ease! The show featured traditional Hawaiian hula dancing and even an appearance by MJ, which captivated the audience. It was a very exciting and enjoyable time! If I have the chance to go to Hawaii again, I would definitely like to participate!

I ended up going towards the Sheraton Hotel near Waikiki to get to the meeting point, which made me a bit flustered, but I managed to arrive on time. I enjoyed the night view of Waikiki while sipping on Mai Tais and soft drinks, and then there were the fireworks from Hilton. It was a time to forget about everyday life! The weather was cloudy, so I was disappointed that I couldn't see the sunset I was looking forward to, but the Mai Tai Catamaran was really great. I could see Diamond Head beautifully, and the staff created a wonderful atmosphere. I was alone, but I had a lot of fun. As it got dark, the night view of Waikiki was beautiful.

when we arrived there was a traditional Hawaiian dance to greet us. we then went into the venue for appetizers, which were well presented and very tasty. when we went into the main stage area we could not believe the position of our seat. right in front of the stage. the meal was exquisite and all 4 courses were cooked to perfection. when the show started the production was amazing. it was choreographed like a Broadway show. the Elvis impersonator sounded great and really looked the part. When he went through the crowd during "Suspicious Minds" he kept laughing between lyrics, just like Elvis did in his live performances. a simple touch but excellent attention to detail. We also had a Michael Jackson performer who was also very good and entertaining. His 'Moon Walk' routine was spot on.

Overall it was an exceptional evening out that beat all our expectations

Even the regular seating had great views so it doesn't matter which meal plan you book, just book it you will not be disappointed !!!

I worried about how much inconvenience it would cause for the guests staying there, and feeling down due to the noise, I headed to the venue. When the time came, I was welcomed with fresh hula and Mai Tai drinks. My gloomy mood was instantly lifted, and my excitement for the event reached its peak. I was escorted to the VIP seats by the stage, enjoyed the main dish, and was fully satisfied as the showtime began. The motivation was at its highest during the hula and Elvis shows. Sweet memories of my adolescence resurfaced, and for some reason, tears started flowing uncontrollably! At the exit, I took commemorative photos with the hula girls and Elvis. It was a very satisfying show.
