This was hands down our favorite excursion on the island! Fantastic Crew, great food, fun music, great snorkeling, and lovely boat ride. We went with my mom and our 5 year old son. Both of them chose not to snorkel and still had a blast. Extra bonus, they have a photographer who took tons of photos (even underwater!) at the cost of $40 for the entire flash drive. Really great time! Highly recommend!! We will be back :-)

They made us feel right at home , once when we got there they were waiting for us as if they already knew us ..

First off we got to ride on a double decker bus with Christmas lights strung on the roof which was not expected because of the title. That was definitely a pleasant surprise. The trolley picked up me and my girlfriend in Waikiki and took us through down town honolulu to see Christmas lights that you probably wouldn't park and walk to look at. The driver also acted as a tour guide talking on the speaker about the history of some of the buildings. Then we circled through to the big Santa and Mrs. Claus statue and the bus dropped us off for half an hour to walk around. Got picked up and dropped off at the same location we started off. No complaints at all.

It was wonderful to be greeted at Honolulu Airport with leis after a 9 1/2 hour overnight flight from Australia. The warm smiles of the young ladies who presented us with our leis made us feel truly welcome. We appreciated their patience as although our flight arrived on time there were significant delays passing through airport security / customs. The wives loved the fresh orchid leis which where quite beautiful. It was the perfect start to our holiday in Hawaii.

This was the best way to see the Honolulu Xmas Lights.... no traffic to deal with, no having to look for parking, a friendly driver, xmas lights on the bus and xmas music playing! The bus ride (a double decker!) was the best part of the entire tour!

This was the second year we took this tour. The check in crew, driver of the bus, and narrator were very friendly and courteous. It was a fun time for my family and I !

It was a very enjoyable time in a different space. I would like to participate again if I have the opportunity. Perhaps because there were many Japanese participants, there were a lot of performances of songs aimed at Japanese people.

日本人の参加が多いためか、日本人向けの曲の演奏が多かった。

It was kind of confusing to load the boat due to everyone bombarding the captain but other than that it was AWESOME!! Best idea ever to bring in the New Year!!

This time, I participated with my parents and my husband, making a group of four. Even my parents, who usually complain a lot, were excited for their first countdown and had a great time.
We reserved a window seat with sparkling wine, and that was a great choice!
The food was also impressive, with a magnificent lobster and tender steak. I was very satisfied!

今回は両親と主人と4人での参加でした。文句の多い両親も、初めてのカウントダウンにテンション上がり、とても楽しんでくれました。
スパークリングを頼んでの、窓際席を予約しましたが、それが良かったです！
お料理も、立派なロブスターに柔らかいステーキ。大満足でした！

The crew was fantastic. The boat was brand new or at least kept that way We really enjoyed the experience!

Every year, I spend New Year's in Hawaii. This year, I decided to spend it on the Star of Honolulu and made a reservation. I chose the most luxurious plan, but when I got there, they packed in too many guests. The view from the front of the second deck was nice, but the amount of food served after 10 PM was overwhelming, and the meat was cold. The service was good, but I could hear the conversations of the people next to me.

The live jazz was great, but the neighboring room on the second deck seemed more casual with its food and had a hula show, which looked like more fun.

About 20 minutes before the countdown, we were guided to a spot where we could see the fireworks easily, but just before it started, there was an announcement in Japanese saying that the view was better from the opposite side. Everyone suddenly started moving to the other side, and when I asked the staff, they said it could be seen from both sides. Since the foreign guests didn't understand the announcement, many stayed put, and in the end, those who didn't move had a great view of the fireworks around Waikiki River and the Rum Fire area.

On the way back, we gathered again for the bus. We waited for about 20 minutes and finally headed home. I feel like it would have been better to watch from Kaka'ako Park.

毎年ハワイで年越ししています。今年はスターオブホノルルで過ごすことにして予約しました。
一番豪華なプランにして、いざ行ってみたら、客を詰め込みすぎ。二階の船の先端で、景色は良いけど食事は22時過ぎから食べきれない量、しかも冷めてるお肉とか。サービスは良いです。席は隣の会話まる聞こえ。
ライブジャズは良かったけど、二階の隣の部屋はリーズナブルな所なのか料理も少しカジュアルで、フラショーなどがあり、そちらの方が楽しそうでした。
カウントダウンの20分前に案内されて花火が見えやすい所を陣取っていたら、直前に日本語で反対から見えます、とアナウンス。一斉に皆反対に行きだし、スタッフに聞いたら反対からも見えますと。外国の方はアナウンスがわからないのでそのままだったりして、結局は移動しない方がワイキキ川、ラムファイヤーのあたりの花火がよく見えました。
帰りはまたバスに集合。20分くらい待ち、ようやく帰路につきました。
カカアコパークから見た方がよかったな、という気がします。

I went with a group of about 10 friends. We are between 21-26. We had a great time there was music playing. 2 drinks of your choice and unlimited champagne. I was wondering if it would actually be unlimited but sure thing I kept my glass and kept going for refills. We had a brilliant view of the fireworks!! We had a blast seeing in the new year. Slightly less time on the boat than expected. But we had a great night!! hau’oli makakiki hou!

It was a little hard to find the meeting spot, and the description of the tour didn't match what actually happened. First, I thought we would be on a smaller, old-fashioned trolley. We actually rode on a double-decker tour bus, and the fumes were awful on the lower level. The description of the tour said that we would make 2 circuits around Waikiki to see the lights and made no mention of getting off the bus at any time. But, we actually stopped at the extremely crowded Honolulu City of Lights for 30+ minutes, which I was not expecting.

I ended up spending Christmas in Hawaii, and since I was there, I booked this tour. I mistakenly went to the wrong meeting place and had to explain the situation to the tour company in my limited English. Fortunately, they responded quickly, and everything turned out fine, but I felt sorry for the other tour guests for the inconvenience.

The illumination felt a bit subdued. It might be more extravagant in Japan, but I think it's a nice way to enjoy Christmas in Hawaii.

ハワイでクリスマスを過ごすことになり、せっかくなので、このツアーを予約しました。
待合せ場所を間違えてしまい、つたない英語で事情を催行会社に電話で伝え、迅速に対応していただいた結果、事なきを得ましたが、他のツアー客の皆さんにご迷惑をかけ、申し訳なかったです。
イルミネーションは、控えめかなと感じました。もしかしたら日本の方が派手かもしれませんが、ハワイでのクリスマスを満喫するにはいいと思います。

We were expecting a trolley but got a packed tour bus.

Very disappointed. The only lights were at the Hale. The money paid is not worth it. The end result is one hour wasted. Would recommend avoiding this tour and simply drive to the Hale to see the lights. Honolulu City Lights Tour is false advertising.

This was my 4th time seeing the lights. There were fewer lights then previous years. The worst part was not enough time was allowed for seeing the displays at the Hale building. The trolley was decorated nicely and the driver was pleasant but radio was used for music which was interrupted with talking. I doubt I will do this again due to parking cost added to ticket cost. :-(

Couldn't figure out how to order online, so had to call. Very friendly. Gave order... Certificate was to have 2 names, but only one name appeared. Disappointed with that, but otherwise ok

My fiancé and I went on the Snorkel and Sunset cruise the second week of November. The bus pick-up was extremely easy and allowed for worry-free drinks on the cruise.

The cruise was spectacular. The orientation was clear and made us both feel comfortable. The snorkel spot selected was stunning and quite safe feeling. We saw many tropical fish and even had a ray breeze past! We spotted a humpback whale breaching and so the captain took us on over for a closer look.

The Kalua pork was tasty for dinner and the crew went out of their way to make sure we were all satisfied. We were treated to a beautiful sunset and leisurely cruise back to harbor.

From the start this cruise was amazing, We checked in and got the royal treatment. Escorted to the upper deck where we were greeted by the captain and offered snacks and drinks. We were then seated and bring on the food, every dish was great. Brandon our server was great, he mad sure everything was to our satisfaction. The maitre d came and got us just before sunset and took us out on deck where the Captain was waiting and we renewed our vows. It was very romantic. I would do this again.

Myself and my husband could not fault the experience that we had when we renewed our wedding vows. The food was great, the staff were fantastic and the ceremony that was provided was private and personal - just what we wanted. It was the perfect end to the day.

Ah Man! What an amazing trip. I was a bit weary on the afternoon of since the weather report was not promising any sun. But the sunset was probably the most beautiful I have ever seen. The colors that crusted the clouds were just tear jerking. The crew was so friendly and laid back, food was healthy and tasty, beer was cold, the coastline was misty, water dark blue ... it felt so good to be there at that moment. Cheers to Ocean Joy and VELTRA for making this short trip back to the islands so much fun.

This sail packs in so much in the perfect amount of time. Not only do you get to sail along the west coast of Oahu, but you get to visit a great snorkel spot, eat your fill of delicious food and guzzle down lots of drinks!

I have done a lot of regular dinner cruises in Hawaii and in other states, but this one is definitely the most unique and you totally get a great bang for your buck. Since you are on the west side, you are literally right there as the sun dips below the horizon, and with a steady stream of drinks and as much food as you can eat, there isn't anything better!!!

The drive is like 40 minutes from Waikiki, but the transportation was comfortable and on-time. Great option if you don't want to drive and definitely a "must do" if everyone in your party is planning on knocking back a few.

Be sure to bring some cash to buy the photos that they take of you. The photographer is fantastic and takes TONS of pictures throughout the cruise, both in and out of the water. They put it on a USB drive for you and that way you don't have to worry about snapping shots and can just focus on having fun ^_^

Best snorkel cruise I've been on! The crew were great and you can tell they enjoy their jobs. They were all friendly and personable. They made the experience what is was. Unfortunately I am bad with names, but the crew member who spoke all the different languages was fantastic and so was our photographer (local girl).

We had a brilliant day with Mark seeing the east of the island and stopping at the places we wanted to see - so much fun we extended it another 2 hours on the spot. Mark was very pleasant, knowledgeable and great with our kids too. Highly recommended.

the driver showed up on time took us to pearl harbor & directed us to the sights after touring the Arizona & the museum we were a group of 13 some wanted to go to the battle ship & the submarine & some wanted to tour the city. the driver was very accommodating helpful & very helpful he made the day for us

Since there were many guests, the seats were quite cramped. I reserved a window-side table for two, but I felt a bit uncomfortable with the person next to me being so close. I quickly finished my meal and enjoyed the fireworks outside. Everyone seemed to enjoy the singing and dancing together.

たくさんの客を乗せているので、席は結構狭く、窓側のふたり席を予約しましたが、隣の人が近く気になりました。さっさと食事を済ませ、外で花火を楽しみました。歌や、全員でのダンスをみなさん楽しんでいました。

We participated as a couple. The staff were very kind, and although I'm not very good at English, I didn't have any trouble. The food and the onboard shows were also very satisfying. However, the vow renewal was a bit underwhelming. During the meal, we were called to the edge of the deck with something like "Come here for a moment," where the captain performed the ceremony, but it didn't have the excitement of a wedding. Well, that might be expected. Still, making our vows with Diamond Head in the background was a wonderful memory. We were told to dress formally, so we both wore aloha shirts, but it seemed like we were in the minority and stood out a bit. The people around us didn't seem to be dressed so formally.

お料理や船内のショーなどもとても満足いくものでした。
ただ、バウリニューアルはちょっと微妙でしたかねw
食事中に「ちょっときてー」みたいな感じで外のデッキの端に呼ばれ、船長がセレモニーを行ってくれるのですが、結婚式ほどの高揚感はないですね。まぁ当たり前かもしれませんが。
それでも船の上から見るダイアモンドヘッドをバックに愛を誓えてのはとてもいい思い出となりました。
当日は正装でとのことなので夫婦そろってアロハシャツを決め込んでいきましたが、そんな人は少数派？で若干浮いていました。周りの人はそんなにきっちりしている感じもなかったです。
