Just as we were about to start, it started pouring rain. I got completely soaked, but I followed the advice that "there's a rental for raincoats, but you'll get hot along the way," and set off as is. Kualoa Ranch is absolutely beautiful with breathtaking views of the mountains and ocean - a must see/visit. The zip line tour simply put was incredible but the icing on the cake, what made it is the employees and guides. We had Emily, David and Malotai as our guides and they were the best - I don’t recall the bus drivers name but she was awesome as well. Mahalo for a great time!

I highly recommend you go! I love Jurassic Park, and I was excited to visit, but it was even more enjoyable than I expected! There was support in Japanese, so I had no difficulties. I chose the 2-hour horseback riding course. There were many people at the reception, but most seemed to be on the 1-hour course, with only my spouse and I, along with what appeared to be three American family members, in the 2-hour group! We had one instructor for every five people, which was an excellent condition to start with.

This was my second time at Kualoa, and although I have ridden horses several times domestically, the scenery and comfort of this course were so exceptional that it’s hard to put into words how "amazing" it was. The instructor explained everything in English, which was a bit of a challenge for us, but we managed to listen intently. We also communicated with the American father, and their smiles and the charming movements of their horses helped make the experience enjoyable and the two hours flew by. (Since preparation and explanations take about 20 to 30 minutes, some might find the 1-hour course insufficient.) I have a pleasant muscle ache around the inner thigh area, but I can definitely "recommend" this experience!

I participated in a 2-hour horseback riding course (with transportation included). I was worried about my 10-year-old daughter and our physical stamina, but it was no problem at all. I had read many comments about discomfort in the rear, but it wasn't as bad as I thought, and I was fine. The horses were very well-behaved, so I felt safe riding them. Occasionally, they would stop to graze, but I thought that without that, it wouldn't feel like I was really horseback riding. It was a wonderful 2-hour experience with scenery that you can't easily find in Japan. I'm glad I went.

I was concerned about the long wait time since the transportation schedule was fixed, but we rode from 9:30 for two hours, and the bus left at 1 PM. It was just right to have lunch and browse the souvenir shop afterward.

I appreciated the suggestion to book a different time slot to minimize waiting time at the ranch. The shuttle service with the large bus was comfortable.

However, the procedures upon arrival were somewhat unclear, so it would be helpful if the steps were written on the voucher in advance. I didn't know that helmets were required because they weren't shown in the photos, so I bought a hat the day before, but I would have liked to know beforehand.

It would also be beneficial to have clear information about paid lockers and photography guidelines provided in advance rather than on the day of the activity.

As for the activity itself, we only watched a short video before riding, and then we were quickly on the horses. During the ride, there were two instructors for six participants, but they mostly left us to our own devices (laughs). While it's nice to have freedom, some people might feel anxious about it.

Naturally, each horse has a different personality; there were calm horses, some that only wanted to eat grass and wouldn't listen, and others that were playful with the other horses, which was amusing. The horse I rode seemed to be a bit of a troublemaker, as the instructor frequently came over to praise it. It was curious about the other horses and occasionally sped up, but I held the reins firmly, so it was fine. 当たり前ですが、馬によって性格が違い、おとなしい馬、草ばかり食べて言うことを聞かない馬、他の馬にちょっかいを出す馬がいて面白かったです。私が乗った馬はインストラクターが頻繁にいい子にするように声をかけにくるちょっとした問題児のようで、他の馬が気になったり、急に早足になったりしましたが、しっかり手綱を持っていたので大丈夫でした。ちなみにまったく指示を出さず、完全になめられている人もいて、その馬は草ばかり食べていました（笑）
乗馬はしっかり2時間で素晴らしい景色の中で堪能できます！海を見ながら山の中に向かいます。アップダウンもあり、乗っているだけで結構な運動量になります。景色が本当に素晴らしかったです！ジュラシックパークの映画がきっかけで行くのであれば、もう一度直前におさらいしてかは行くとより楽しめるかと。

私達は到着後20分位で乗馬、終了後も30分位でバス乗車出来たので、現地での待機時間もほぼなくストレスゼロでしたが、うまくいかないと3時間の牧場待機時間があるそうです。予約時に確認することをおすすめします。

It's not often that you can ride for two hours, so I signed up without hesitation! We moved forward in a single line with a small group, and I was at the front. The horse is smart and remembers the course. I was so excited, thinking "Ah, this is the best!" but after about an hour, I started to feel a bit tired from enjoying it so much. We made our way back after an hour and a half. Riding really feels great.

It was very good, but the English explanation was only for the foreign guests coming behind us. Maybe they thought we wouldn't understand? Even if I didn't understand everything, I could pick up some words. That was a bit disappointing.

I wanted to go on a buggy ride (I had been on a tour before and this time I just wanted to do the buggy), so I chose this affordable plan. However, I was worried about having to gather at the meeting point. Taking a taxi would require a lot of money, and I was scared to drive a rental car (I have no experience with left-hand drive and driving on the right side), so I was unsure what to do. I found out online that I could also take The Bus, so I decided to give it a try.

The Bus costs $2.75 one way, but a day pass is $5.50, so considering the return trip, it’s better to buy the day pass for peace of mind (you won’t have to worry if you make a mistake! You can also stop for a restroom break or shopping!). You just need to hand cash to the driver when you get on the bus and say something like, “One day, please.” I don’t think tipping is necessary.

The Bus to Kualoa Ranch departs from the Ala Moana Shopping Center. The number is 55. The starting point is on the mountain side, but it also goes by the ocean side bus stop, so either way is fine. The ocean side bus stop requires a short walk towards the airport (opposite of Waikiki) from the trolley stop.

It takes about an hour to arrive. There’s an electronic display board at the front of the bus, similar to Japanese buses, where you can check the destination. As for the meeting place, there wasn’t any specific designation. After passing through the visitor center, there’s a ticket office, and suddenly, a local staff member who speaks Japanese will start explaining things (not at the ticket office, but further back in a grassy area). If you’re unsure, it’s quickest to ask any staff member if there’s someone who speaks Japanese.

In any case, you will need to show your voucher at the ticket office to receive your buggy ticket. After getting the ticket, go to the buggy check-in (marked as ATV) about 10 minutes before it starts, where you’ll be asked to sign a document stating you won’t complain if you get injured. After signing, you’ll be guided to a small hut where you can watch a Japanese explanation video. After that, you’ll put on a helmet (available in sizes S, M, L) and large transparent glasses for allergies before getting on the buggy.

From there, the experience is similar to others, so I’ll skip the details. Just go with the flow. There are various people, and some may not drive well, so it can go quite slowly. It’s important to have an open mind and be prepared for that. Instead of trying to go fast or keep up with the person in front, the key is to enjoy the scenery safely.

The course is quite bumpy, so it’s best to be careful not to go off course or bump into the person ahead of you while having fun. They will take photos along the way, which you can buy at the end for $15. However, they will also take pictures with your own camera (for free), so if you can take your own photos, you might not need to buy theirs.

大体1時間くらいで着きます。バスの前方に日本のバスみたいな電光掲示板があり、行き先を確認することができます。クアロアランチのバス停の前からクアロア○○というのが続きます。Kamehameha Hwy（カメハメハハイウェイ）ーKualoa Maintenance→Kualoa Resional Park→Kualoa Ranchの順で止まります。Stop Request（停止ボタン、もしくは縄みたいなのを引く）は日本より早めに押します。Resional Parkが過ぎたあたりで電光掲示板にKualoa Ranchが出なくても押した方が無難です。ただ、他にも降りる人がいると思うので、そこまで気にしなくても良いかもしれません。寝過ごさないように注意が必要です。
あと、バスの中はとても寒いので、寒さに弱い人は注意が必要です。
集合場所については、特に指定もありませんでした。ビジターセンターを抜けるとチケットオフィスがあり、気がついたら突然日本語を話せる現地のスタッフの説明が始まります（チケットオフィスではなく、さらに奥の原っぱみたいな所です）。分からなければ、まずは誰でも良いので日本語のスタッフがいないか、そこの辺にいるスタッフに聞くのが早いです。
ただ、いずれにしても、チケットオフィスでバウチャーを見せて、バギーのチケットをもらうことには変わりはありません。チケットをもらったら、始まる10分前にバギーの受付(ATVと書いてあります）に行くと、まずは怪我しても文句を言いません的な書類にサインをしろと言われます。そこにサインをすると次に日本語の説明ビデオを見れるような小屋に案内され、ビデオが流れます。それを見てから、その小屋内にあるヘルメット（サイズはS、M、Lなど）、花粉症用みたいな透明、大きめのメガネをつけてバギーに乗ります。それ以降は他の体験談と同じなので割愛します。なるようになります。色々な人がおり、運転が下手な人もいるため、すごいゆっくりになることもあります。その辺の覚悟、広い心は必要です。速く走ることや前の人について行こうと頑張るよりは、安全かつ周りの景色を楽しみながら行くのがコツと思います。
結構凸凹してますので、コースアウトしないことや前の人にぶつからないように注意して楽しむのが良いと思います。

At the beginning, they showed a Japanese explanation video, but during the experience, I managed with English and gestures. I was worried about how much my 2-year-old would enjoy it, but it seems they had fun seeing cows, pigs, and the ocean. Thanks to the Japanese staff who explained everything kindly, we had a great time! We brought a stroller, and they also helped us with where to put it, which was very helpful! During the final garden tour, my child got a bit restless and couldn't sit still, so we let them run freely on the grass in the great outdoors while we waited for the older kids to finish their activities. It turned out to be a very relaxing and enjoyable time.
