● Then, we crossed the forest and viewed Diamond Head from the top of a hill.
● This might be seasonal, but on the way back through the forest, the guide shared edible fruits and plants, keeping things interesting.

First of all, it was great that a Japanese staff member assisted us upon arrival, making everything easy to understand. After that, it was all in English, but we managed somehow despite the language barrier. Riding the four-wheeled buggy was a thrilling and exciting experience, like an attraction at a theme park! The instructions mentioned that long pants were required, but in reality, most people were wearing shorts. Anyway, the dust was incredible, so our clothes got dirty. We spent two hours enjoying beautiful scenery and navigating bumpy roads while having a blast, and I was very satisfied!

We had the best time on our jungle tour . Our tour guide was outstanding . Funny, informative and we were captivated from the moment we sat in the seats and took off , until we returned back to where we started. It was the highlight of our tour experience. I would give this tour an outstanding rating!
Unfortunately the next tour was a huge disappointment, the movie tour.
While it was interesting seeing the cardboard signs where all the movies took place, there were little if no remaining evidences that any movie ever were filmed there. That was my mistake as the driver explained that all props must be removed.
Our driver mentioned immediately that he had “ deadpan humor” which sorely missed the mark. While he was knowledgeable and his information was interesting, his style of presentation was filled with unnecessary repetitive words “Also here within here collectively also here “ . My suggestion would be to work on simplifying the dialogue to keep the.audience engaged. Sadly, we decided to leave after the tour missing the last tour we had paid for.

For those participating in this tour:

1. As you will get covered in sand, it's recommended to wear all black clothes or clothes and shoes that you don't mind getting dirty.
2. Using a locker is not mandatory for this tour, but it's definitely better to use one. (The locker fee is $5, payable in cash or credit. You can access it multiple times!) Your belongings will also get sandy. I think it's fine to have just one phone among your group!
3. Since you'll be covered in sand, your face will also be quite dirty, so it would be great to have a makeup pouch (makeup remover wipes would be ideal).
4. After participating in this tour, I had a hamburger at a café, and since it's American-sized, I recommend sharing one between two people!

You might not find another place where you can experience driving through nature like at Kualoa Ranch. The thrill of speeding was really enjoyable. However, it gets dustier than expected, so it's better to bring a change of clothes and goggles or sunglasses to have an even better time.

I've been to Hawaii eight times, but this is my first time at Kualoa Ranch! Since I was here, I chose to ride a buggy through the great outdoors. At first, there’s an orientation with other tour guests, but I couldn't understand anything they were saying at all. It seems they were just telling us to gather at each location when the time comes. The meeting point for the buggies is a bit further in and hard to find. We follow a few tour vehicles behind the instructor. Driving the buggy is definitely fun, but those riding along can enjoy it too. We stop at several movie filming locations to take pictures. However, I have no idea what they are explaining (crying). There are muddy spots along the way. We plunge into puddles like on Disneyland's Splash Mountain. It's absolutely essential that your face and clothes get dirty, so it's best to avoid wearing anything too nice!

On the day of the event, there was some traffic on the highway, so we arrived slightly late, but the schedule had enough buffer time before the activity started, so it was fine.

The activity involved our family of four along with two couples, making a total of eight participants, with one instructor guiding us all as we rode around the ranch. At the beginning, we watched a safety video, chose our bicycles, and practiced a bit before setting off.

My daughter was right at the height limit, so she couldn't quite reach the ground while seated and looked anxious, but she seemed to get the hang of it after a while. I think if you're around 155 cm tall, you should be able to reach the ground comfortably. Additionally, one of the younger female participants seemed a bit scared of the speed at times and struggled to keep up, but the instructor rode slowly to help her, and she managed to complete a lap. 開始時には安全確認のための映像を見て、各自自転車を選び、少し練習をしてから出発です。

娘は身長制限ギリギリだったので座った状態ではぴったり足がつかず不安そうでしたが慣れると大丈夫そうでした。
155cmくらい身長があると足がつくイメージかと思います。
また、同行メンバーの若い女性の方は途中スピードが怖かったのか、なかなか流れについて来れない場面もありましたがインストラクターの方がゆっくり走ってくれたり、どうにか1周していました。舗装されていない坂道を走ったりするので自転車に抵抗のある方にとっては少し怖いのかもしれません。

とにかく景色のいいところを颯爽と駆け抜けていくのがとても気持ちよくて、施設の方もみんな親切で（日本語は通じません）、最高のアクティビティでした◎家族、カップル、ひとりでも楽しめると思います！

Other activities are fully booked, so while there are opportunities to interact with horses, go shopping, and have light snacks, we end up with some idle time. When it was time to gather, we watched a Japanese-language safety explanation video and then set off in a convoy of six vehicles. We took breaks along the way, sharing stories from movies and taking photos at scenic points. There was no Japanese interpreter, which was a bit lonely. The ranch is in a valley surrounded by mountains, and because it hasn't been touched by humans, it has a sacred atmosphere. In the latter half, we just moved forward without worrying about the ups and downs of the mountain paths or the muddy puddles! Both the driver and the passengers had a great time.

By the end, the T-shirt I bought the day before was covered in mud, and I had a good laugh at the muddy nose shadow! It's best to wear clothes and bring items that you don't mind getting dirty. The gathering time was around 7 AM, and the return bus departed at 1 PM. You could either book activities for the afternoon and spend the whole day or return to Waikiki for some free time in the afternoon. I was able to fully enjoy the great outdoors at Kualoa Ranch while off-roading. It was a lot of fun driving while taking in the scenery. The guide was also great, taking photos and being considerate by talking to us in English.

However, the dust was quite intense, and I ended up covered in sand, so I would appreciate it if that could be mentioned in the tour's precautions. After the tour, I changed into a fresh outfit.

It was a fun tour riding buggies through the grounds of Kualoa Ranch. I think it's the best tour within Kualoa Ranch. A guide accompanies you, but all explanations at the points are in English, so for Japanese people who are not good at English, you might just have to feel the atmosphere.

The dust is quite intense, and your clothes and bags will get pretty dirty, so you need to be careful about what you wear and bring. Also, be careful when putting on the goggles after attaching them to the helmet, as it can get your face dirty.

After about a 45-minute ride, we arrived.

After getting the ticket, we moved to another area for an explanation about the ranch. We went to the horseback riding check-in 15 minutes early and signed a consent form. I signed my name in English as it appeared on my passport on a green piece of paper, along with my age in kanji. After that, we watched a short instructional video about horseback riding in Japanese. I put on the helmet I was given. The sizes of helmets for Japanese and foreigners are different, haha. As long as it fits, it was okay, so I ended up wearing a strangely sized helmet, haha. They gave us a small pouch to attach to the saddle, where we could put our cameras and such. By the way, during the instructional video, they said video recording was prohibited, but a Japanese staff member happened to be there and said, "That video is old; it says no recording because big video cameras are dangerous, but small ones like GoPros or phone cameras are fine." Thanks to that, I was able to capture a lot of videos!

Once you get on the horse, you won't get off until you return. We toured the filming locations, but there weren't any detailed explanations; we just understood where we were by looking at the signs. However, the views were breathtaking everywhere, and just riding a horse through such scenery (even though the horses were smart enough to follow the route on their own, haha) was incredibly enjoyable. My horse and my companion's horse kept munching on grass, though, haha.

Before I knew it, two hours had passed, and just as my backside started to hurt, the tour ended. It was so much fun!

【ロッカー】
乗馬ツアーに参加する人はカメラがわりのスマホと最小限の荷物だけを持って他はロッカーにしまいます。
ロッカーはたくさんあります。
日本語対応しているので操作は問題ないと思います。

【トイレ】
海外…しかも牧場…
トイレが汚いのを覚悟して行きましたが、拍子抜けするぐらい綺麗でした！

水道はお土産屋さんのところのトイレを利用するといいと思います。

【乗馬ツアー】
予約時間まで2時間あったので日陰でのんびり待ってました。
お腹もまだ空いていないし、眠たいしでうとうとしている間に時間が来ました。
15分前に乗馬の受付に行き、同意書にサインします。
緑色の紙にパスポートの英語表記の名前、年齢、漢字でサインをしました。
その後日本語で乗馬の簡単なレッスンのビデオを見ました。
渡されたヘルメットを被ります。
日本人の頭と外国の方の頭はサイズが違うので…笑
とりあえず被れればOKということで変なサイズのヘルメットを被りました笑
鞍のツノにつけられる小物入れを渡されますので、その中にカメラなどを入れます。
ちなみに、乗馬の説明ビデオの中でビデオ撮影は禁止、と言われますが日本人スタッフの方がたまたまいて、「あれは古い映像だからビデオの機械が大きいと危ないからダメって言ってるけど、最近の小さいGoProとか携帯のカメラならビデオOK」と言われました。おかげさまでたくさん動画も残せました！

一度馬に乗ったら戻ってくるまで降りることはありません。
ロケ地を巡りますが特に詳しい説明などはなく、立て看板を見てなるほどここがジュラシックワールドのロケ地ね、などと勝手に理解していくタイプです。
ただ、どこをとっても絶景なのでそんな中を自らが操る馬に乗って（といっても馬達はお利口なのでただ乗ってるだけでルートを進んでくれます笑）巡るだけでも十分楽しいと思います。
私と同行者の馬はめちゃくちゃ道草を食べましたが（笑）

あっという間に2時間が経ち、そろそろお尻も痛くなってきた頃ツアーも終わります。
とっても楽しかったです！

【帰りのバス】
帰りのバスまでも2時間程度時間がありました。
流石にお腹も空いてきたので、私はクラシックバーガーを。同行者はロコモコを食べました。美味しかったです！

帰りのバスはカフェの外、来た時に説明を受けたあたりで座って待っていると時間になるにつれてぞろぞろと人が集まってきて呼ばれて乗り込むことになります。
ただ、私たちが行った時は3台のバスが並べられて、どこどこ行きの人はこのバス！どこどこ行きの人はこのバス！とスタッフの方が英語で説明するのを聞いて乗り込む事になります。わからなければチケットに書かれた場所をスタッフの方に見せてどのバスに乗ればいいか聞くといいと思います！
帰りは道が混んでいたので1時間と少しかかって朝の集合場所へ戻ってきました。大体16:30ごろ戻ってきたと思います。

日本の乗馬体験では自分で馬を操るというのはなかなか難しいですが、ヘルメット一つの軽装(？)で自分で馬を操って2時間も歩く乗馬体験は海外ならではですね。
とっても楽しい1日になりました！

Had a fantastic time on this tour! Our guides were great - fun and knowledgeable - and made the whole experience worth it! The whole ranch area is absolutely stunning - so picturesque it's hard to know where to look nex whilst trying to concentrate on the path ahead! This quickly became one of our favourite activities and now want an electric bike!!

I had been thinking about going to Kualoa Ranch for a while, and finally went with my mother.

It seems that if you sign up on-site, there are one-hour and two-hour courses available, but this tour was the two-hour course. The two hours flew by in no time. If you're going to do it, I definitely recommend the two-hour course.

You can explore every corner of the vast Kualoa Ranch and fully enjoy Hawaii's magnificent nature. We even got to drive among a herd of cows, which was quite fun.

They provided confirmations before boarding in Japanese, and the guide was friendly, taking videos and photos when we handed over our smartphones. My elderly mother was also thrilled, and it was a fulfilling day! I highly recommend it.

This is a tour that takes you along hilly mountain paths on a leisurely horseback ride. The scenery is beautiful, and the weather is pleasant, making it a very enjoyable experience. There are explanations about movie filming locations and ruins at various points, but since you pass by while still on the horse, I think a different tour would be better for those who want to take photos at the filming locations. The guide speaks only English. There is a video in Japanese regarding precautions before horseback riding. On the day I participated, there were a total of six people, and one guide accompanied us. It was unfortunate that if you got too far from the guide, you could hardly hear anything.

All the horses are well-trained and follow the horse in front, so even those without riding experience can enjoy it. However, the instructions from the guide are given in English using the horses' names, such as "The person on [horse name], please go faster," which might be a bit daunting for those who don't speak any English.

One disappointing point was that one of my companions had stirrups that were too short, and even though it was known before departure, we set off without changing horses or equipment, which led to foot pain later on. 1点残念だったのが同行者の鐙が短すぎて、出発前からそれがわかっていたのに馬を変えたり装具を変えたりすることなく出発したため後々足が痛くなってしまったことです。一般的な体形の人であれば一番楽になるように都度調整してくれますが、たまたま身長の高い人が短い鐙をつけた馬に当たってしまったのが残念でした。

Secret Island is a very special place for our family. my daughter got a wedding in Moli'i garden and secret island during Covid.
we have a wonderful memory of her wedding with our closed family and friends only under 20 people.
it was a magical experience,so we had been always talking how we can go back to the island.
and we finally planned a family trip to Hawaii this spring, and we have been searched many different websites which offers a tour to the secret island.

this website did not have many reviews compared to other major travel websites, but their prices were the best so we decided to give it a shot.

and the decision was the best!
the reservation process, confirmation, instructions and everything was GREAT!
it was a little bit of cold and rainy day so we were the only group going to the island that day. we basically rented the entire island to ourselves.

We enjoyed our half-day experience. As tourists, the Secret Island experience was nice because it satisfied my desire to do kayaking and paddle boarding. The beach was nice for young kids because they had supplies to build sand-castles, however that is the most of what my young children really enjoyed. In retrospect, most of the activities there would be best for older children and teenagers to really enjoy. For families with younger children, it may be best to buy some sand toys and head to a local beach.

I was a bit worried because there was no Japanese-speaking staff, but there were staff members who were used to dealing with tourists, so I was able to complete the tour without any issues! The price is a bit high, but it was fun!

Riding the horse was challenging at times, but it was fun. The instructor was kind, and there was nothing I didn't understand. The scenery was just beautiful, and the horses were adorable.

The sunlight was strong, and there were times when tall grass and branches could hit you, so I recommend wearing long sleeves. Also, if you can't use your card for the dedicated lockers, you'll need to use cash, so it's a good idea to have $5 on hand.

While there may be various opinions, I highly recommend visiting Kualoa Ranch at least once. You’ll get used to driving the buggy in about five minutes. It’s amazing to enjoy such great nature just about an hour from downtown Honolulu.

The instructors speak entirely in English, and while I didn’t understand everything 100%, they provide detailed and enjoyable explanations about Hawaii’s history and legends.

There are warnings regarding dirt, but in reality, it wasn’t that bothersome. The smell of the helmet was a bit noticeable, but aside from that, given the opportunity to enjoy nature and interact with animals, some dirt and smell are somewhat unavoidable.

Overall, I think it was a very good experience.
