I was VERY impressed with our tour to the Polynesian Cultural Center. From the pick up in Waikiki, lunch, tour of the 5 island groups, dinner, the evening show and the return to Waikiki, all was done perfectly. This tour is definitely a MUST to learn more about the Polynesian Culture!!!

Overall, it was an English immersion experience. Of course, on the bus and even after arriving, we were the only Japanese group there.
Since we had to rely on the shuttle bus for transportation, it was really challenging to understand English.
There was a staff member on the shuttle bus who guided us. You need to remember the name of that staff member and the bus number for your seat at the venue, so it's essential to memorize that. In our case, Jackie was the staff member, and the bus number was 5.
We were quite unsure about when and where to gather for the return trip. In the end, after the show, everyone just got up from their seats and went shopping or wandered around, but it seemed we could return to the bus whenever we wanted. Since we were confused, we found Jackie, who was selling commemorative photos, asked her where the bus was, and managed to get back to the bus.
There were many anxieties, but the show was very impressive and really great. The food was delicious too. Now that I understand the flow of things from this experience, I would like to go again.

I have been visiting Hawaii every year since 1991, but this was my second time at the Polynesian Cultural Center. I found out about this tour online and decided to participate. The guide's skillful and humorous storytelling made everyone feel friendly and relaxed, as if we were old friends, and we truly had a wonderful time. I believe this tour offers great cost performance. Additionally, I would like to thank the local office staff for their polite assistance in Japanese during my phone inquiries.

This was our first luau that we've experienced and we're pretty happy w/Paradise Cove. The location is beautiful, the hosts and hostesses were very nice, and the activities were enjoyable. If only the activities could have lasted longer than the time they had allocated, it would have been better.
We loved the food and the show towards the end. The weather was perfect, and during the final show we saw a falling star. Perfect luau in paradise. Would definitely recommend to others looking for a great luau experience!

The whole evening was very imformative. From finding out that the very program itself helps educates our young to learning about other places around the world. I have no doubt that the program has and will continue to offer a very unique learning experience for those that are at BYU and to those that attend the Polynesian Cultural Center for entertainment. All the work that was put into the shows to make them both unique and entertaining comes out in every aspect of the center itself. As we will be living here for at least the next 3 years, when we have guests it will be one of the features of Oahu that I recommend.

I participated in the All Day Deluxe tour. It was a slightly larger group of about 20 people, but the voice of our international student guide, Mamoru, was clear, and I didn't feel too inconvenienced.
After watching the canoe show, we could do whatever we liked in the villages, but since it was my first time and I didn't know my way around, I was taken to recommended spots. We toured each village and got to experience hula, tattoos, poi balls, and even taste taro. The shows included a drumming performance from Tonga Village and a cooking show from Samoa Village, and I laughed so much that I cried. I highly recommend it!!!
The buffet featured delicious purple bread with taro. Since we only had about an hour, the food started to dwindle as the show time approached, so I think it's best to be quick in getting your food.
The show was powerful and wonderful! I could see the dancers' expressions clearly and thoroughly enjoyed it. Since I opted for the deluxe package, I thought our seats would be decent, but surprisingly, we were in the fourth row right in the center of the circular theater—an amazing spot! Thank you, Alan Wan, for the arrangements!!
If I had to mention something difficult, it seems we had to stop at a souvenir shop for about 45 minutes during the transfer, so if you don't need anything and have your own transportation, it might be better to meet on-site. Also, don't forget to confirm your reservation with a phone call after arriving in Hawaii! My hotel name wasn't communicated, and I wasn't on the pickup list.
If I have the chance to come to Hawaii again, I definitely want to go again and enjoy the villages I didn't get to see much of this time!!

The transportation was on time, and the staff were Japanese. They provided a simple sightseeing guide until we arrived at the PCC. For first-timers, it might feel like a great deal. We had the Twilight Deluxe, and surprisingly, our seats were in the second row from the front in the center. It was the best location for a deluxe experience. The show closely followed Polynesian culture, and I think it's worth seeing. It was a family outing, and the kids (middle school and elementary school) were engaged until the very end. The deluxe package includes ice cream service during the show, but there’s quite a lot, so you might not be able to finish it. For this type of experience, I think it can be considered the best in Hawaii.

We really had a great time at the center and learned a great deal. You really need to get a guide to get the most information on each village and so you don't end up going in circles or getting lost in the center. The guide keeps you on track and know when the shows are scheduled and the best places to sit. The food was exceptional. Our seats were in the sun and we wish we could have sat in the shade....that was our only complaint. The sun didn't stay up long and we soon forgot about it. The entertainment was magnificant, the staff was very nice, my waiter was shy and asked for his picture not to be posted on the internet :) They feed you a lot of food. VIP is the way to gp because you stay seated, your food is served to you and for a hot afternoon you are under a cover with fans. You have a wonderful sunset view. Just GOOD LUCK if it rains!!

First of all, I highly recommend the v.i.p box. I was kind of expecting an individual booth, but it’s actually an area under a shed seating about 30-40 people (8 people a table). Even though you’re sitting with other people, v.i.p beats getting up to stand in line for food. There would be a staff member serving you, also most important is the weather. A staff member I talked to mentioned that if it happens to rain, the only people that would be covered are people in v.i.p. If it does rain, there would be security guards blocking the v.i.p booth, if anyone with a standard seat tries to enter.
The activities are delightful, the gift shops are great, and I must have spent about 100-130 dollars just on souvenirs. The picture taken of us is beautiful. Going as a couple, 6 drink coupons each were plenty. When you enter you will receive a complimentary drink, so we actually had extra coupons by the end of the. The staffs are nice, helpful, and funny. It was a great luau………..

Table service was very slow, people who did the buffett had food way before we did AND there were other things on the buffett that table service guests did not receive.

Two things were very prominent on this excursion.
1) It seemed very focussed on couples. Lots of references for people celebrating engagements, weddings & anniversaries. There was also a special song played so couples could dance together.
2) There were too many add-ons where it seemed really obvious they were trying to get more money out of you ($15 to have your picture taken with some tropical birds for example and also the bar staff trying to talk you into getting the drinks that your free coupon doesn't quite cover). Some of the extra activites were pretty lame and the staff didn't really seemed interested in even pretending to be enthused about being there.
The actual show was pretty good, although it didn't really go on that long. I was at a VIP table and the waiter hovered around and couldn't take your plate so as to start the next course quick enough. No offer of if you would like some more or not despite the fact it was "all you can eat".

Highly recommend upgrading it as we did, we were served our food instead of standing in line, we received a photo that they took at the beginning and the drinks were top of the line. Several years ago, I went to a Hawaiian Luau...we ate dinner and watched a show...it was alright. PARADISE COVE LUAU was so much more! I loved it! Before dinner, there were several activities we could enjoy, as we drank our "welcome drink" or used our coupons to have some additional pre-dinner drinks. Activities included: canoe rides, spear-throwing, tatooing, flowered headband/bracelet making, poi practice, and dance lessons. The beach and sunset was beautiful. Negatives: Dinner was okay...my boyfriend liked it, but I'm a little more picky... Some (most) of the drinks required more than just a drink coupon (ie. "one coupon plus $3)...kind of misleading.
Overall, I totally recommend this Luau experience!

A trip to Hawaii with my daughter. We came to Oahu, Hawaii Island, and Kauai, looking forward to experiencing Hawaiian culture and nature.
I thought I would just see hula dancing at the Polynesian Cultural Center, but I was amazed by the scale of it. I had no idea about the Polynesian islands, but they recreated entire villages, and I strongly felt the pride and love the islanders have for their culture as they passionately preserve and pass down their traditions. We were captivated and moved by the powerful show.
We learned hula dancing in a Hawaiian village, and it was so much fun that I felt, "I want to learn this from now on!" The guide in the park mentioned they were a "Japanese exchange student," and I felt proud to see Japanese students working hard.
If you come to Hawaii, be sure to stop by; I highly recommend it!
