This time, I participated from noon. As soon as I arrived, the canoe show started, and I was already overwhelmed from that point. Is it held once a day? I think this show is a must-see.

After that, we toured each village while the guide explained things to us. The guide was a student, but he answered our questions accurately (though he did forget some things occasionally, which was funny), and it was very educational. The experiences that showcased the characteristics of the region were also enjoyable.

For the meal afterward, I chose the deluxe option, and I was satisfied. The banana ice cream was delicious. And finally, it was time for the show. We were in the second row, right in the middle, so the intensity was incredible, and the energy came through directly.

There was a proper storyline, and it was truly an impressive show.

今回はお昼から参加しました。着いてからすぐにカヌーショーが始まりましたが、すでにそこから圧倒されました。1日に1回なのでしょうか？このショーは見た方がいいと思います。

The bus arrived about 30 minutes late in Hawaii time! However, the entrance where the optional tour people from Hyatt gather was filled with Westerners! I was impressed and waited, thinking these people must be going too. We gathered at what is called Paradise Cove and received cards to charge the $12 on-site. The bus only spoke English, but that was interesting in its own way. They told us which bus number to take, and since there were only about five buses, it was hard to make a mistake.

Upon arrival, I got a Mai Tai and entered the park. It seemed like they didn’t need ID, as my face clearly looks like I’m over 50! (laughs) We practiced hula together, climbed palm trees to scatter flowers, and some guests were made to do strange dances like a beach seine. (I felt safe since Japanese people probably wouldn’t be chosen! (laughs)) While doing various activities, the sun set, and when we got our food and drinks and sat down, the show began. It was standard but enough! It was amazing. It took a bit of time to buy drinks, so I didn’t think about drinking too much... (laughs) However, I got full quickly without taking too much food. The taste was decent, about the same as a plate lunch, and it felt sufficient.

I really felt like I was in Hawaii. Looking up at the sky, I was impressed by how beautifully Orion and Canis Major were visible! Of course, the dance and fire dance were also fantastic.

３０分くらい遅れてハワイ時間でバスは到着！しかし、ハイアットのオプショナルツアーの人が集まる玄関には欧米人だらけ！この人たちも行くんだろうなぁと感心して待つ。パラダイスコーブと呼ばれて集まって１２ドルを現地でチャージするためカードもらいます。バスではもちろん英語のみですが、それはそれで面白い。とりあえず何番のバスだと言われますし、バスも５台もないので間違えようがないです。到着し、マイタイをもらって園内に。身分証明とかどうみても５０歳の私の顔ではいらないみたいです。（笑　フラの練習をみんなでやったり、ヤシの木登って花を撒いたり、地引網みたいなことを一部の客にへんな踊りさせてやってもらったり。（日本人は当たらないだろうから安心して（笑））いろいろしている間に日が暮れて、料理を取って、飲み物をとって、席に着くとショーが始まります。スタンダードで十分！最高でした。酒は買うのに少し時間がかかるので、そんな飲もうと思わないように。。。（笑　しかし、食べ物もそんなにとらなくてもすぐにおなか一杯になりました。味はそこそこ、プレートランチ並みの味で、これで十分って感じでした。とにかくハワイに来たって感じかがしますね。そらを眺めるとオリオンと大犬座がきれいに見えたのが印象的でした！もちろん、ダンスやファイアーダンスも最高でしたよ。

I visited the Polynesian Cultural Center about 20 years ago, and I was satisfied with how much more content there was this time. I signed up for the standard plan because the 50th anniversary campaign price was a great deal. I didn't have high expectations for the food, but there were more varieties than I anticipated, and the portions were quite generous, so I was pretty satisfied. The show was undeniably moving. With a story-driven progression, there were various dances to see, and it was very impressive. Perhaps because it was a bit far from Waikiki, there weren't many Japanese people around, but the large theater was packed with an audience, which made me realize how popular it is.

I booked the late entry since we had a cruise in the morning. We had some time to go around a few villages but we wish we booked the all day package. The show was beyond my expectation and they did a superb job putting it together. It was very dramatic and entertaining. You must visit Polynesian Cultural Center when you come to Hawaii.

It was my first experience. Since I stayed in North Shore, I went there on my own, but the show was fully booked. The story was easy to understand, and the dancing was wonderful. Being in the front row was very impressive. The ribs from the meal were delicious as well. The price was a bit high, though.

The dance show was absolutely wonderful. Before the show, we had a buffet meal at a large dining hall and did some shopping at the stores in the park. After buying some Hawaiian-themed children's clothing, we headed to the show venue. Our seats were in the back, but we could see everything well and were impressed by the elaborate performances and the fire dancing. However, finding the car on the way back was difficult because the location was different from the initial explanation, and we couldn't find it in the light rain. We had to communicate the number to other drivers to get help.

My family and I enjoyed very much this luau. The staff made every effort to make us feel welcomed. Our leis were beautiful. Even though there had been a storm earlier and weather was not that great they still managed to provide us with a great show. The dancers were amazing the the fire performance was exciting. The only downside was that due to so much rain that had happened earlier we weren't able to experience watching the roasted pig being brought out of the pit.

I attended with my mother in her 70s (who speaks almost no English). There was a guide assigned to our large hotel shuttle bus, and even with few Japanese people around, they made the journey comfortable and checked on us at the venue, which was very reassuring. At the show venue, the robust performers guided us with smiles, creating a very pleasant atmosphere.

We were seated in the center front row, and across from us was a pair of older white individuals who seemed to be a mother and son, so it was easy to chat and we felt relaxed. There were also younger white groups in the back who were lively, but for us, being small, the Royal Plan was great as we had a clear view of the stage.

As soon as we were seated, we were hit by a heavy rain for about ten minutes. We put on the raincoats provided on the table to take cover, and when we returned to our seats, the salad and drinks that had already been served were soaked. The main dish was protected with a lid, so we managed to eat it. After the first few songs of the show (before the real dancing began), they came to clear our plates while we were still eating, so I thought it wise to finish quickly.

The main male performer was truly entertaining, very skilled at engaging the audience and bringing people on stage, far surpassing typical comedians. His interactions with the lively middle-aged Japanese group in the audience were particularly exquisite, making me feel a bit embarrassed to be Japanese, but he managed to involve the entire venue in laughter.

On the other hand, he also shared touching stories about family and couples' love, making it a heartwarming show. At the end, we all held hands with the cool performers and other guests, singing and dancing together, creating a sense of full participation.

My mother understood most of the meaning and laughed along with everyone at the same timing, expressing her joy and desire to come again. I would definitely like to participate again if the opportunity arises! I would be happy to know the name of the main performer!

　席はど真ん中の最前列で、向かいにはもっとご高齢の母息子らしき白人ペアと4人だけで、お話もしやすく気楽に過ごせました。他の後方の席では若い白人グループが盛り上がっているところもあったので、体も小さい私たちにはステージも丸見えのロイヤルプランで良かったです。
　着席してすぐ激しい雨に10分ほど見舞われ、テーブルに用意された雨合羽を着て避難し、席に戻るとすでにサーブされていたサラダや飲み物などびしょ濡れでした。メインのお皿は蓋で保護されなんとか食べられました。ショーの最初数曲の歌のみが終わると（本格的な踊りが始まる前に）、食事もまだ終わらないうちに下げに来られましたので、早く食べ終わるのが賢明と思いました。
　メインの男性は、本当にお話が面白く、ステージにたくさん人を上げてはみんなをいじるのがとても上手で、そんじょそこらのお笑いの人など比較にならないほどでした。
特にお元気な中高年の日本人グループのお客さんのいじり方が絶妙で、若干日本人であることが恥ずかしく思えるような部分もありましたが、会場全体を笑いの渦に巻き込んでいました。
その一方で、家族や夫婦の愛情について感動的なお話もされ心温まる素敵なショーでした。
　最後には、かっこいいパフォーマーのお兄さんたちや他のお客さんたちとみんなで手をつないで歌を歌い踊って全員参加といった感じで終わりました。
　母もだいたい意味が分かってみんなと同じタイミングで笑っており、大変喜んでまた来たいと申しておりました。
　また機会があれば是非参加したいと思います！

I was told by an acquaintance that I should definitely go, but after reading the reviews, I found mixed opinions. I was unsure which group to choose, but I went with All Day Deluxe. A student studying at a nearby university guided us brightly and very kindly! It seems that most of the people working at the facility, including those who perform in the shows, are students, but everyone was really cheerful, energetic, and friendly! By choosing the afternoon plan, I was able to see various shows, and they were all incredibly fun! There are various opinions about the food, but I found it delicious! Those who signed up for Deluxe before the evening show were able to see behind the scenes, and I felt a level of professionalism that was hard to believe they were students!

The seating is arranged so that everyone can see from any spot. It seems that it rarely gets fully booked. Although I chose Deluxe, I made the reservation just two days in advance, so I ended up sitting towards the back. I recommend making an early reservation! Even for Standard, if you book early, you should be able to get a seat towards the front, which would make it easier to see!

Indeed, the price is somewhat high, but I heard that the money we pay goes towards scholarships for the working students, and since the afternoon shows are enjoyable, I recommend the afternoon plan for those who are going in the future!

どのグループにするか悩みましたがオールデイデラックスに。近くの大学で勉強してる子が明るくそしてとても親切にガイドをしてくれました！ショーに出る子達も含めて施設で働いてる人のほとんどが学生さんらしいのですが、皆さん本当に明るくて元気で親切でした!昼からのプランにすると色々なショーも見れるのですが、どれも凄くたのしかったです!ご飯も色々書かれていますが私には美味しく感じました！夜のショーの前にデラックスで申し込んだ人は舞台裏を見せて貰えるのですが、学生さんとは思えないくらいプロ意識を感じました！
席は何処からでも見えるようになってます。満席になることはあまりないそうです。デラックスにしたものの予約したのが2日前でしたのでデラックスの中でも後ろのほうでした。早めの予約をオススメします!スタンダードでも早めに予約すれば、その中でも前の方だと思うので見やすいと思いますよ！
確かに値段はそこそこしますが、私達が支払うお金は働いてる学生さんたちの奨学金として使われるそうですし、昼のショーも楽しいのでこれから行く方には昼からのをオススメします!

I received advice from my hula dance teacher that "if you go to Hawaii, you should definitely see this show," so I signed up for a dinner and show tour.

The journey there was quite long, but our guide, Mamoru, provided us with insights about Hawaii, which was very educational.

Paradise Cove Luau on the Beach at Ko Olina Resort

The Luau was amazing. The views were beautiful, the activities were fun, and the food was delicious. Also My mother is handicapped and it was very easy for her to get around in her motorized scooter. My husband and 2 year old son also had a blast. Overall well worth it and I would go again.
