I thought my aunt, who teaches dance, would really like this, so I signed up. The meal was a buffet, so I didn't have high expectations, but it was actually quite good. They piled a lot of big crab on my plate, but I couldn't finish it.

The show was mesmerizing, with a handsome guy and a lovely woman. The dancers had beautifully toned bodies. The story was easy to understand, and my aunt was so moved that she teared up.

I'm really glad I participated, and I would love to see it again if I have the chance. However, next time I will dress warmly. It was incredibly cold while watching the show, and I was shivering. I couldn't even enjoy the complimentary ice cream...

If you don't have a rental car, I recommend a tour that includes transportation! I also tried to go by bus, but the hotel staff stopped me, haha. The guided tour on-site was great! The night show was also moving!! It was absolutely fun with no complaints!!

I chose the deluxe type because I thought it would provide good seats to watch the show. Indeed, I had a great seat in the sixth row from the front, right in the center. The deluxe package included not only the show but also special meal vouchers for dishes like crab and ice cream, although I didn't use them (I had already eaten a bit too much). The buffet area was separate from the standard one. Dinner starts at 6 PM, but they cleaned up quickly, and by before 7 PM, there was only a little left. I guess the main focus is on carving the meat. The food was just okay. The crab had about four to five legs, and the Japanese guests sitting next to me seemed to enjoy it. Unfortunately, the downside is that you can't take any photos during the show. I wished I could capture a few memories. Also, it takes over an hour from Waikiki, so the distance is a bit of a concern. However, the show is enjoyable as it has a story format and lasts just under an hour and a half.

The first time was in mid-June last year, and the venue was fully booked, so we had to wait in line to get in. Our seats were standard and located at the back. This time, since it was January 3rd, I was prepared for even more crowds than last year, but it was quite empty. I booked good seats, so we were able to see the show right in front of us, and my daughter danced on stage, creating wonderful memories. I was very satisfied.

This was a must do activity and was made excellent by our host "Cousin Bo" who was informative and entertaining. The event itself was fantastic, the show was very professional and the story of the Pacific islands well executed. The fire dance at the end was visually stunning and well worth it. Location was beautiful and the trip there was pretty too. The activities and food were probably not my ideal, but we would absolutely recommend going for the actual performance. We booked the royal experience. The chief is a real comedian and the evening was good fun all round.

I made a last-minute reservation, but I was able to book my second choice perfectly. The dinner was deluxe, and the prime rib was delicious. The show gradually built up excitement and was fantastic. It was something I would want to see again.

It was quite far from Waikiki, and there was only one road. I think it was pretty far. (It's better to use the restroom beforehand.) When we arrived at the cultural center and went inside, we were taken to have a meal first. It was a buffet, and there were a lot of customers. The food was delicious, especially since I wasn't expecting much. The main Polynesian show had a storyline and was very nice. However, I feel like once you've seen it, that's probably enough.

We have been to Hawaii a couple of times and have been to most if the luaus, but we think the Chiefs Luau has been the best one by far. The food and drinks were very good and the location is very beautiful. The Chief was very funny and the whole show was very entertaining- great hula dancers and exeptional fire dancers. If you are staying on Oahu, do yourselves a favour and go see the Chiefs Luau - you won't be disappointed.

Amazing experience

It was the first activity out of four planned for our week. Everyone of us really enjoyed our day here at the PCC this was due to our tour guide mostly but all who were involved were also great. We had the best lunch at pounders and again the dinner was to die for. The breath of life show was an amazing experience. We definitely would recommend this to everyone we know. Aloha and Mahalo Nui loa.

My friends and I had a great time at the Waikiki Starlight Luau!
The location is very convenient and we could just walk from our our hotel. Once we arrived the check-in was fast and we had a friendly staff greeting us with a Hawaiian lei and a welcome drink, nothing better than start the night with a Mai Tai! The food was very delicious and I love the variety of the food, specially the salads. It's great that they have a station specially for the kids.
The show was wonderful, full of delightful performances. My favorite part was the fire knife dance and to learn more about the other Polynesian cultures like Tonga, New Zeland, Samoa and Tahiti.
I would for sure come back to the this luau!

If you're not proficient in English, it might be tough. Over 90% of the participants are American tourists. This isn't specific to this tour, but many American travelers who don't live in Hawaii have some resistance towards Asians (especially older couples), and there are those who openly dislike being around them. If you can't communicate well enough to make jokes, dining at the same table can feel awkward. For someone like me, who struggles with English, the show felt too long and I got bored halfway through. It's a genuine luau show, but if you just want to experience the atmosphere a bit, I recommend a different tour.

We participated as a family of four, and while the food was delicious, I felt it was a bit expensive for the content of the dishes. Also, the venue was hard to find, and it took a while to reach the elevator! The show was in the front row, so it was powerful and truly impressive. I still enjoy watching the video. My grandchild was thrilled to have their favorite turtle tattooed on their arm. We had a wonderful night in Hawaii!

Since we had a Japanese guide, even our small children (a second grader and a kindergartener) were able to understand and have a meaningful time. I believe that having a Japanese guide is essential when traveling abroad with kids!

As soon as we came upstairs to the luau, we were promptly met by the luau staff and directed to our table. On the way there, the dancers greeted us with leis and we received welcome Mai Tais. They have regular and virgin Mai Tais, which were good! Our drinks were never empty and the buffet line went smooth. Try the salad, chicken, and the poi - an excellent combination! The best dessert was the haupia and I also tried some bread pudding - both were very tasty. The show started with the MC singing a beautiful rendition of an American melody in Hawaiian verse. The dancers were excellent and the whole show is well worth seeing if you are in Waikiki.

I understand that it's difficult for small children to sit still. Dining out can be challenging, but here, the spacious grounds with grass and sand allow the kids to run around freely for about an hour after the tour bus arrives and before the buffet starts!

Above all, you can enjoy the unique "sunset over the ocean" that the west side offers. Adults can relax with a drink in hand while soaking in the beautiful sunset, feeling like they've traveled to another island.

The show is also enjoyable, and when it gets dark during the fire dance, looking up at the sky reveals a breathtaking starry night!

Our family was very satisfied!

小さな子供がいるのでじっと座ってられないのは承知の上。外食も難しいところですが、ここなら芝生や砂など敷地が広くツアーバス到着後、ビュッフェまで1時間ほど時間があるので子供たちが思いっきり走れます！
何と言っても西側特有の「海に沈むサンセット」が楽しめます。大人もドリンク片手にキレイな夕日に浸れ他島に来た気分も味わえます。

On the way there, we had a guide who provided detailed explanations, so we arrived sooner than expected. Once we got there, they also gave a thorough explanation about the return bus, which made me feel secure even traveling alone.
