My first experience at Chief’s Luau 9 months ago was great, so when my family decided on attending a luau during this trip to Oahu, I thought Chief’s Luau would be a great choice. With pure luck, we were sat at the same table as the last time and it was front and center seating. Any closer, our eyebrows probably would of burned off by the fire show. In addition to the great seating, we loved Chief’s jokes, the dancers all performed amazingly, and the staff were all really nice. I would definitely recommend to others.

The grounds are beautiful and larger than I expected. We allowed an hour to explore the grounds but could have easily spent 2-3 hours looking at all of the scenery. The luau was a lot of fun. There were some hands-on activities before we were seated which were fun. Once seated, we had a great meal and were offered seconds. I could barely finish my 1st plate:)
The entertainment was truly fun. Lots of stories, dancing, singing and some comedy. The closing of the show had fire dancers and one was a 10-year-old boy who could twirl the fire stick outrageously fast. Overall, this was a great experience which I would do again if I were in Honolulu with a car.

The Paradise Cove Luau was a great experience! The setting there is absolutely beautiful. There are lot of activities, picture opportunities, and crafts to do as well. The show was so much fun to watch. We loved the hula dancing, fire dancing, and other entertainment that they had. The food was soooo good. My teenage son went back 3 times with a full plate! All four of us list this as a top highlight of our trip!

I had a great time with the show, which featured a variety of attractions like Michael, an Elvis impersonator, Hawaiian dance, and fire dance, keeping us entertained throughout. It's also within walking distance from the Hilton, making it a nice stroll. As a bonus, it includes a buffet. With the group, there were quite a number of people, seated at long tables of about ten. Since everything is in English, if you can communicate to some extent, you can enjoy conversations with the guests next to you. I had some light conversations with a family from the mainland. Their daughter was adorable. One downside is that there is quite a bit of time to wait for the buffet, making it a bit challenging to pass the time.

It might always be like this, but perhaps due to the year-end usage, it was very crowded. The atmosphere was a bit awkward throughout because various groups were mixed at the long table for meals. When seated, the pineapple set on the table gave off a vibe of "please share it among yourselves," which further intensified the awkwardness. The taste of the buffet was just okay. During the meal, cast members performing hula and playing the ukulele came around to each table, but if you're looking for something more substantial, this might not be the place for you. After the meal, we moved to the theater to watch a show, which was probably of high quality (the American guests were really excited about the Elvis and MJ impersonations), but it felt more like an impersonation show and lacked the Hawaiian vibe, which was disappointing.

I watched the Hilton's luau show for the first time in a while. I made a reservation for an event during Christmas in Hawaii after three years. I felt like there weren't many Japanese people there yet. The show had great seating and was wonderful. The dining area and the theater are at the same floor , the 4th floor of the shopping mall building. It is very close to the Waikiki Beach. We can just walk from our hotel, which is very convenient. The buffet has ube bread, salads, fish filet, steamed ube and yam, pastas, BBQ beef and etc. and the amazing food is pork and Traditional Hawaiian Kalua pig. The chef helped to cut the entire pig. The crispy pig skin is really good. I love it. And the coconut pudding is also delicious. And dinner, we watched the show. I thought it’s the show all about traditional Hawaii dance. However, it also has they music of Elvis Aaron Presley and Michael Jackson. The singers are amazing. I love the show, too.

There is no attendant at the meeting place, so I had to check in by myself at the check-in counter by showing my voucher. However, I was informed that my reservation wasn't properly reflected, which left me confused. In the end, it took quite a bit of time, and I managed to get in by sending a photo of the voucher. It was awkward since there were a lot of people lined up behind me.

The food was delicious, so I was satisfied. However, every time I ordered a drink other than the initial welcome Mai Tai, I had to pay with a credit card, which was a hassle. They don't accept cash, so a credit card is a must.

It seems that the performers change depending on the day, and on my day, it was only Elvis. I would have liked to see Michael too. If you like Elvis or Michael, you might enjoy it.

After enjoying the dinner buffet, I attended the hula show. Since there were nearly 700 guests, it took a bit of time for my turn to come, but there was plenty of food prepared, so nothing ran out. The show featured a content that conveyed the history of Hawaiian music, along with performers who looked and sounded just like Elvis and Michael Jackson. I was satisfied to enjoy the hula show, especially since I was unsure about dinner.

The meal included delicious options like pork, roast beef, and was very filling! It was great that we could enjoy a variety of meats, fish, and vegetables. The juice was also tasty!
