A bit overrated and touristy, im a vegetarian who does eat seafood but there were no vegetarian options so veggies beware as you;ll be stuck only eating salad, activities sound a lot more interesting on paper then in person, consists of a 2 second canoe ride in a circle near the shore, throwing a stick at a bale of hay, someone making you a flower bracelet, and throwing a wooden thing and a stone against a board, the actual luau dance was pretty good and the fire dance was amazing, dinner should be served sooner and the real entertainment should start earlier, the bus took forever to get there and your free mai tai just tastes like juice and no alcohol. drinks were way overpriced but is nice that your ticket includes 3 free drinks but our quite small and they loor people into buying bigger ones for 3 dollars each so they make the money back. all in all it was good to experience it for my first time but it was very unauthentic and cheesy to us.

- we could walk to it
-that it was short and to the point
-the food was better than any other luau we have been to
-they had a kids table for the buffet with finger foods
-We paid extra to sit in the front and one of our kids got picked to go up on stage and be in a competition.
-It really was a family luau. People weren't drunk and the dancers didn't do anything embarrassing
-We didn't love:
-The chairs were cheap, weak, and wobbly.
-The family next to us was so close we had to touch arms and legs to scoot our chairs in
-We felt packed in like a herd of cows waiting for a buffet
-the drink ticket system is poorly run. My kids had water and they were asked for a drink ticket. They only had a short list of about 5 drinks and they would not make virgin drinks.
-The parking lot view sucks. We did not get any good pictures and at Germains and Paradise Cove and the Polynesian Cultural Center you will get the best photos that you will treasure all of your lif

Enele was a great driver and full of knowledge. He also became our tour guide once we arrived at the cultural center. He took us around and explained the different cultures and his own culture (Samoa) in great detail. The food at the luau was great with the Kalua pork and Lomi Lomi being my favorite. Poi was actually not bad after all the bad things I heard about it. The entertainment during dinner was great. We even got on stage for a little dance. The show was incredible, portraying the AH of life. The fire dancers were awesome. Overall was a great experience and would recommend to everyone.

This was my first time participating. My high school child, who tends to be lazy about everything, was with me, but they didn't get bored or fall asleep and watched until the end. They were a bit sleepy at the beginning, though...
However, the food at Gateway was not great. I think having too high expectations is not good.
The biggest complaint I had was that it said, "You can participate by handing the voucher to the Japanese staff," but I couldn't find where the Japanese staff were. When I asked someone nearby, they gave a vague explanation, and I ended up wandering around without really understanding, which was exhausting.
By the way, if you go by rental car, the parking fee is $8.

It was an activity to preserve Polynesian culture, and various countries' dances were interwoven, allowing us to see a highly polished show. Next time, I want to see it from the front row.

I participated with my grandparents and my parents, making a group of five. Since the venue was the same as our hotel, the Hilton, it was very easy to join.
The explanations from the show’s host were all in English, so I was a bit confused about the buffet details and how to order drinks, but it wasn't a major issue, and I was able to enjoy myself. The show itself was enjoyable even without understanding English, and I think you can really feel the atmosphere of enjoying a show and dinner in Hawaii. The food was delicious, and although there was a line at the buffet at first, it became less crowded after everyone got their food, making it easy to go back for seconds.
I also thought it would have been better to have a bit more detailed information about the meeting place and ticket exchange upon arrival. Even when I managed to get to the designated meeting spot, there was no specific guidance for Alan1, and everyone started walking to the venue, so I just followed along and ended up lining up at the ticket exchange window... I felt a bit anxious until it all started. In the end, I was able to participate properly, so that was good.

As a first time visitor to Hawaii ,I was not sure what to expect from a Luau. The Luau actually begins on the bus ride to Paradise Cove. We were greeted, welcomed and entertained by our host, "Cousin Bronson." He told funny stories and jokes and explained what to expect before we arrived to our destination. This made everyone feel "connected" and a part of the "family."
Paradise Cove Luau was enjoyable and it was a great experience for all of us. The Paradise Cove entertainers were very well trained and showed a great deal of confidence and expertise in their skills and their dances. Afterwards, they were available for pictures and autographs. Paradise Cove is a wonderful setting for a luau. Very beautiful location for the setting sun pictures.
The trip back to our hotel was another entertaining ride with more stories and jokes from Bronson. I would recommend Paradise Cove Luau to anyone. Great job!

A long day, but well worth it! Even the bus ride was good. This was the best luau experience we had, easily beating out the one offered by NCL on Kaua'i, which was very good. It was a hot day, and the line for shaved ice was long, but that is the only negative. All of the cultural shows we saw were excellent and there were even pre-shows for those who arrived early. The food was good (along with another show), and the main show at the end (Ha, Breath of Life) was outstanding.
If you are looking for an intimate on-the-beach luau, this is not it. The PCC provides a first-rate experience for thousands of people, and does so with minimal delays and great views from any seating location. I am so glad we went. This was one of the highlights of our entire trip.

Going to a luau is something everyone should do at least once. Paradise cove is beautiful and the staff very friendly. The "games" are not impressive, but give you something to do. The show is good. The food is good but not labeled, so try everything. Did not like most of the native dishes, but the pork and chicken were excellent. The drinks are poured in front of you, shots measured and often generous. Unless you are a drinker, I would not say they are watered down. You can purchase bigger, "better" drinks as well. (i didn't need to.) Had the standard package and would not bother with more expensive packages, seats are all good and buffet lines move quickly and plenty of food. Bring small bills for tips. I would recommend this activity to family and friends. Some small children there, ok for kids.

【Entrance】Our group went directly to the venue, but it seemed that most participants arrived by tour bus. The Japanese staff member we first approached didn't seem to know the entry procedures well, which caused a bit of a delay.
【Activities】The show is conducted in English, with a Japanese guide interpreting nearby. However, since our group had over 30 people and only one guide, if you sit far from the guide, you can hardly hear the Japanese translation. If you don't understand the language, it really diminishes the enjoyment, so I recommend that those who are not confident in English sit close to the guide.
By the way, the tour led by the guide ended with options: 1. Visit a Mormon church, 2. Watch a movie at a cinema, or 3. Follow the guide to see a fire-making and coconut-splitting show. We chose option 3, and the performer in the show had a hilarious character. I'm glad we picked this option.
【Food】The buffet style was not terrible in taste, but it wasn't exceptionally good either. The atmosphere felt like a cheap buffet. It might be appropriate for the price? That said, there was a good variety of meat dishes and desserts, so I think it's great for those who prioritize quantity over quality. The purple sweet potato dish at the salad bar was quite tasty.
【Evening Show】It was completely different from what I imagined; it was a genuine arena theater. The set was large and impressive. However, since it was in a play format, I found myself dozing off quite a bit during the performance. (Everyone in my group was dozing off too.) Personally, I would have preferred to see a simple, vibrant dance or show.
【Overall】I think it’s a good facility to experience the atmosphere of Polynesia.

I requested a course with transportation, and as everyone has mentioned, the bus was mostly filled with foreigners, and the announcements were only in English.
The show was indeed impressive. I ordered the deluxe option, but the seats were not towards the front; instead, we were at the very back on a higher tier. It started to rain during the show, but there was a roof over that area, so I was glad to be seated there.
The people I went with were happy to see an authentic luau show. However, they mentioned that it would have been more enjoyable if they understood English.
The food was delicious. They brought various dishes in order, and although it wasn't a buffet, the portions were more than enough to fill us up. The four drink tickets we received ended up going unused, which was a shame.
