The Luau was great. Everything was so great from the staffs, to the food and performance. It was my first time to a Luau so I really enjoyed it. The only thing that disappointed me was the picture taking with the parrots. My boyfriend and I felt like we got gipped on those photos that we purchased. $35 for one 5

The last time I came to Honolulu, I went to Germaine's Luau (ICK!) and since I had such a miserable time with them, I decided to give luaus another chance and headed over to the Royal Hawaiian Luau with my boyfriend. I am SO glad that I went since it was a great experience and we had a really good time. The food was very delicious, the show was top-notch and it was really romantic.

Some friends and I got together to attend the Royal Hawaiian Luau at the large beautiful pink hotel of Waikiki and it was great. We were greeted with beautiful orchid flower leis at the entrance of the luau by the performers and immediately served a welcome mai tai. The whole setting of the feast was decorated with class and Oh-My-Goodness, the beach and the sunset was perfect to capture a photographic memory.
The host of the show did not waste anytime in welcoming all the guests preparing us for a wonderful feast and show. The food was delicious. There were several isles of Honolulu's most popular food and desert and lets not forget the huge roasted pig that everyone looked eager to taste. The Polynesian performers were brilliant. They were graceful, energetic, and very entertaining. They got the audience involved and let visitors get an experience their first hukilau and Tahitian dancing. The Polynesian performers were awesome and very energetic. They really put on a great show.

I had an absolute blast. I was orginally going to attend the luau by myself but i was able to talk my friend into going with me and i thought that it was awesome. i loved all of the hawaiin dances. but i thought that the fire dance guy (forgot what it is really called) was the coolest. I have never had hawaiin styled food and i liked how there was a wide varity of hawaiian food for me to try. i enjoyed it all very much. thank you.

First of all, may I just say YUMMM!? If there is one thing that this luau does well, it is the food! The buffet lines were groaning under the weight of all of the delicacies and the tables were laden with a bounty of food. There were tossed, macaroni and shrimp salads, an incredibly yummy fruit salad mixed with haupia, a perfect lomi-lomi salmon (not too salty like how a lot of places make it), some kalua pork which was insanely juicy, of course there was some of the ever-popular mahi-mahi, and my favorite, teriyaki beef that just melted in my mouth! I kept going back for more and even though I was stuffed, I still had enough room for dessert, and thank goodness for that. The guava cake was to-die-for and the macadamia nut cream pie was a little slice of heaven. Yes, it was really THAT good! Out of all the luaus I have to been to so far, the Royal Hawaiian Luau has, by far, the BEST food!
My friends and I were quickly checked in at the ticket counter and then we made our way on the

This tour is amazing. It keeps you happy from start to finish. If you want to learn about Hawaiian traditions, I believe this is the only tour to take. Last time I visited Hawaii, I participated in the tour at the Polynesian Cultural Center, which is well-known in Japan. While that might be good if it's your first time in Hawaii, I recommend this tour to truly experience the simplicity and village life of Hawaii, especially for newlyweds. The English commentary and jokes on the bus... even if you don't understand everything, you can just laugh along with everyone, and that makes it all worthwhile. If you get really into it, then that's a win for you. It might be an American style to just enjoy without overthinking it. Once you arrive, it feels like you've time-traveled back to the good old days of a Hawaiian village. You’ll find yourself wanting to do this and that, and before you know it, various shows start. Pay attention to the sound of the conch shell... I will definitely participate again next time. Thank you for such a wonderfully fun time.

I participated on July 25th. As expected, there were very few Japanese people. The staff in charge of transportation could only speak Japanese for greetings and the meeting time. Even upon arrival, there were no brochures or maps. However, I managed to get by through observation. Making hair accessories with Lei, throwing spears, and bowling? Even without understanding the language, I was able to manage. I did give a tip for the body painting, but since others weren't giving tips, I didn't give any more. If you follow the crowd, you'll be fine. During the show, I couldn't understand the host's words at all; it seemed like they were saying things like "shake hands with the person next to you" and "let's say mahalo," but I just looked around. On the way back, there was some playful interaction between the buses, and I was impressed by the high energy. It was fun, but since I couldn't communicate, it felt like I missed out on some of the experience. I really realized how necessary English is. I wish there had at least been a brochure in Japanese.

This time, I traveled to Hawaii with a friend's family. Since I wanted to go somewhere with few Japanese people, I decided to participate in this luau, and it was a great choice.
We went directly by rental car, so I don't know what the shuttle was like, but upon arrival, we were greeted with a welcome drink and a lei, and we could enjoy games and activities until the show started.
We had fun trying various activities like kayaking, making leis and bracelets from flowers, and getting temporary tattoos. There were hardly any Japanese people, and although I didn't understand the language, I enjoyed the atmosphere immensely.
We chose the buffet for our meal since we had small children, and it was delicious—everyone went back for seconds, so I think it was the right choice. The foreign families sitting next to us were friendly and chatted with us, and we had experiences like saying a prayer before the meal that we don't often get to have in Japan, which was very enjoyable.
We arrived while it was still light out, got to see the sunset, and before we knew it, it was night... we had a really fulfilling time. I definitely want to participate again the next time I go to Hawaii.
However, I think the only mistake we made was scheduling this luau on the day of our arrival. Everyone was quite tired, and maybe we got a bit too excited during the first game; we ended up full, and with the pleasant music and dancing, by the end, everyone was a little drowsy. Next time, I want to be in great shape and enjoy it until the very end.
