It was quite interesting!! We participated as a couple, and in Hawaii, which has a lot of Japanese people, I finally felt like I was overseas! Among the tour participants, I noticed that there were only a handful of Japanese people, and we communicated in English from start to finish! I think it's a must for those who can speak English, want to speak, are practicing, or want to immerse themselves in the feeling of being abroad!! The food was delicious, and as everyone has mentioned, the content was very fulfilling, but what I found particularly interesting was the bus guide's stories during the bus rides☆ Please join and experience it for yourself!

I am so happy that I was able to participate on this activity - it was WONDERFUL! I loved my Cousin Lloyd who was my group guide... everyone was wonderful, friendly, informative, and very respectful of their responsibilities - portraying to us the visitors a part of history and sharing of their culture. Everyone was funny, attentive and kind. I loved it! I will definitely do this again for my future visits. The Luau was delicious and Ha: The Breath of Life was incredible... too bad the video was not available for me to bring for my family to see in AZ. A big thanks for everyone that makes this possible from funding, to costumes, practices, etc... I truly appreciate all the work and effort involved in this. God bless!

The Laua is a special Hawaiian treat. It is an event that everyone should experience for the feel of the islands. The personnel was terrific, and met the quality standards we expected. The performers after dinner were Frist Class. They should be visited by many for just the pure ability of their craft. The women were beautiful, and very nice afterward to have photos etc. We have attended before and the quality is the best.

I participated in a tour to watch the evening show that started in the afternoon.
Since it was quite far from Waikiki, I thought I could catch up on some sleep during the ride. However, the woman in charge provided interesting explanations about things we saw from the bus window, shared stories related to them, and talked about her own experiences, which were all very engaging, and I couldn't sleep at all.
Following her advice, I had dinner at the buffet right after we arrived, allowing me to enjoy my meal without overlapping with those who had arrived earlier for dinner. (Since the bus arrived relatively smoothly, I couldn't participate in the program, but I was able to take a leisurely walk around the park after eating.)
The show featured various dances and costumes that followed a storyline, and I felt it was worth participating in this tour.
Next time I go to Hawaii, I would like to join a daytime program and also try taking photos in Polynesian costumes that were near the show venue.

My husband and I booked the Ambassador package which provided a small group guided tour. DeGe, our guide, was knowledgeable and funny. The tour didn't give us much time to see each village but the center is too big to be seen in one day so, with DeGe, we were able to see a little bit of everything. The luau was fun and the food was good. The Ha performance was also very entertaining. Well worth the money for the package.

On October 11th, two women in their 50s who couldn't speak English participated. Most of the participants were American, and there were only eight Japanese people, including us. The male guide kept the atmosphere lively on the bus (all in English). I didn't understand everything, but it was bright and fun. When we arrived at the location, we received a mai tai and a shell lei, and we took some great commemorative photos. They were selling them for $15 on the way back. Before the show started, we experienced activities like spear throwing, a bowling-like game with stones and wood, and canoeing. Everything was free. There were also people making leis. The sunset was magnificent, and while I was taking photos, the show began with the sound of a conch shell. The show started on the beach and then moved to a circular stage. This show is so wonderful that you shouldn't miss it... We moved to the table for the final meal and watched the show while enjoying a buffet. It was truly amazing and very satisfying. The return bus ride was also fun, making us feel like we were in America. Both of us were still thrilled even after we got back to the hotel.

Only that kinda sucked was that it started raining on us and it wasnt until the 3rd pour down that they began to hand out ponchos, so i guess i would recommend to bring an umbrella because all festivities do occur outdoors! Other than that, food was delicious, show was fun, staff was friendly, drinks were stiff, and there was plenty to do!!!! Would most definately recommend.

There were many mistakes in the show as well, so it wasn't perfect.
However, you can clearly see that it's not just Waikiki in Oahu, Hawaii, but also the old town and the not-so-beautiful coastline.
It's worth visiting once, but it's not somewhere you would go multiple times.

This is a MUST do for EVERYONE. We did the VIP box at the back and had the best seats in the place. The stage is still pretty close from the box and it is raised up at the same level as the VIP box so you see over top of everyone else who is in the general seating area. The VIP treatment really makes the whole experience so much better you get 2 pictures taken and don't have to wait in line ups. I couldn't imagine waiting in the long line that formed for the buffet!! There were lots of booths and activities before the dinner and show started we wandered around and watched some of the acts and tried the games they had set up, We walked out to the beach and the rocks which had an amazing view. It was just such a good time, perfect for the first night or two in Hawaii to get you in the "Hawaiian" mood!!! If you are going to do this activity do the VIP, you'll be happy you did :) The show was really good. Kids will love this but if you are a couple it is quite romantic!!

On September 1st, I participated in the Standard plan.
As others have shared in their experiences, stepping onto the large welcoming bus felt like entering another world! We were the only Japanese people, with most of the group coming from the mainland United States, along with some guests from Australia and Russia. The guide understood a bit of Japanese, but since all the talks during the ride, including tour notes, were in English, it might not be suitable for those who don't understand English at all.
Paradise Cove is located to the west of Waikiki, beyond the airport and Pearl Harbor, and since the bus ride is long, I recommend bringing a light jacket if you're sensitive to the air conditioning.
Upon arrival, we were welcomed with a welcome drink (ID is required for alcohol) and received shell leis for a commemorative photo. If you like the photo, you can purchase it on the way back. I think it was around $15.
We were guided to our dining seats, and after writing our names on the sticker on the table to secure our spots, we had free time. The park offered various activities and crafts, so we spent our time freely playing a game similar to javelin called Ooihe and getting Polynesian art tattoos (which wash off) until it was time for dinner.
The meal was a Hawaiian luau buffet, and the lomi lomi salmon and kalua pig were especially delicious. The plan included two drink tickets, which allowed us to exchange them for cocktails from a designated menu.
A point to note is to confirm your bus number and return time carefully, and as mentioned in the notes, a separate tip payment is required. This is a custom that may not be familiar in Japan, so it's easy to forget, but even though the tour fee has been paid, a small tip is appreciated when receiving crafts or drinks.
The show performed on the outdoor stage was spectacular! Along with hula and live music, the fire performance after a 15-minute break was definitely worth seeing. The beautiful sunset we unexpectedly witnessed added to the experience, making it a wonderful memory.

We participated in a program called "Luau" with a Japanese guide as a family (three members: a couple and their 10-year-old daughter). Since we experienced activities like making flower leis, hula dancing, and ukulele lessons, I think it was great for the child to have a program that was more than just observation. The dinner included with the tour was a buffet, allowing us to eat as much as we liked, and the seasoning was also fine. During the meal, we enjoyed a show, and after eating, we moved to a different location for an approximately 1 hour and 30-minute Polynesian show (with a 10-minute break), which was a wonderful story-driven performance that made the time fly. Overall, I believe the cost performance was good, and I am satisfied. I think I will go again next time I visit Hawaii.

The evening show was wonderful and powerful, to the point where I thought it could rival "Shiki Theatre Company"! Since it was a student show, I didn't have high expectations and thought it would just be women dancing hula. I thought about how around ¥15,000 for an adult ticket seemed expensive, but the show alone is worth that much.
A male student served as our guide for about ten of us. I was truly impressed by his sincerity and enthusiasm. He translated everything into Japanese. I thought it was amazing that he had only studied for two years. However, since he translated everything, I felt that the Polynesian atmosphere was somewhat diminished. I can speak English well enough for everyday conversations, so I found this a bit disappointing. It would have been better if the experience had been conducted in English only.
I wish there had been a bit more time for dinner before the show and shopping after the show.
