We participated as a couple with our child who is in the third grade. We chose a morning course in mid-June. The shallow area was indeed shallow, but for elementary school students, it was about 140 centimeters deep, so they couldn't touch the bottom at all. The shallowest part was just about reachable. The weather was cloudy with occasional sunshine, but it was very beautiful, and our child loved it. We rode together on a kayak as a group of four, sat on a paddleboard with just our child, and even let our child paddle alone while we held the rope.

The welcome food, donuts, seemed to be very delicious.

We participated in a set plan with a banana boat and an octopus boat, but the octopus boat was thrilling enough to be scary even for adults. (Next time, we probably won't participate.)

ウェルカムフードとしてドーナッツもとてもおいしかった様子。

バナナボートとタコのボートのセットプランに参加したのですが、タコのボートは大人でも怖いくらいにスリル満点でした。(次はきっと参加しない)

Francesco and Ella were phenomenal. We had kids aged 9,5, and 3 with us. The two youngest were freaked out and didn’t want to go in the water. Francesco stayed with them while myself, my wife, and the 9 year old went snorkeling. Ella was very knowledgeable and patient. Thank you both for your hospitality and putting up with the kids. I recommend anyone try this out, it’s so much better than being on crowded boat, especially if you have kids.

First of all, Mason Captain's Japanese is incredibly good! I was surprised at how well he speaks, to the point where I thought he might be better than some Japanese people, as he learned it by ear.

We were the only Japanese people there, but he provided translations for all the announcements without slowing down the tempo, keeping everyone engaged. He is truly amazing.

The clientele was also great; there were elderly gentlemen and ladies who surprised me by snorkeling down to about 5 meters deep. Additionally, they opened the restrooms that were only for park members for us when we urgently needed them, which was very kind of them.

Before COVID, it seems that about 30-40% of the guests were Japanese, but after COVID, it appears that hardly any Japanese people have returned. However, even for those who are not good at English, there is really no trouble at all, and the food was delicious. It was the best activity, so I really hope everyone gets to experience it!

耳で覚えたとのことですが、日本人より上手いんじゃないか、ってくらいのレベルでびっくりしちゃいました。

日本人は僕らだけでしたが、全部のアナウンスに和訳も添えてくれて、なのにテンポ落とさずに全員を盛り上げていて、本当にすごい人です。

客層も良く、高齢の殿方とご婦人もいらっしゃいましたが皆さんシュノーケルで5mくらいある底まで潜っていらっしゃったりしてびっくりしました。
あとパークメンバーオンリーのお手洗いを急を要していた我々のために開けてくれたりして、素敵な方々でした。

コロナ前までは3-4割は日本人のお客さんだったそうですが、アフターコロナはほとんど日本人が戻ってきてないそうです。
ただ、英語苦手な方でも本当に全く困らないし、ご飯も美味しくて最高のアクティビティだったので、是非みんな行ってみて欲しいです！

We went banana boating with elementary school children, middle school students, and adults. I hesitated to add the banana boat because it increased the price, but it was the right decision. We saw a lot of sea turtles. Just when I thought I could see their heads, there were many around the boat, which was moving. It might have become my best memory in Hawaii.

We could also do various other activities, and I was able to see many fish while keeping my feet in the water during snorkeling, which was great. Since it was a morning plan, the water was very shallow, and the children could touch the bottom, which was reassuring. I was torn between this and other options, but choosing this one was the right choice.

I thought I might get seasick on the boat, but I didn't. The wind was very strong, so it might be cold afterward. The staff members were very entertaining and fun. The only downside was that the Japanese guide was a bit strict.

The ocean was incredibly beautiful! The staff's service spirit is wonderful! They carefully teach you how to paddleboard and there are Japanese staff members, which is reassuring. Also, when you come back from the sea and are on the boat, they offer warm tea, which was a nice touch! The low tide was off schedule, so the sandy beach didn't appear, but I had plenty of fun with the activities!

When we arrived at the sea, a Japanese person explained things to us. There were also a few people on the boat who could speak Japanese. Once we boarded the boat, donuts were distributed. It was a large boat that didn't sway much, so I think we could travel comfortably. The sea was very beautiful, and we could see fish swimming nearby. We started with the banana boat when we reached the spot. It was quite intense, and it felt like my bottom was floating, which was fun. It seemed like I might fall off if I didn't have enough grip strength. After that, we could spend our time as we liked, and I did canoeing and kayaking. There was a funny person who spoke in Kansai dialect and taught us how to do it. We also enjoyed snorkeling for a full three hours. Although small, there was a place to change clothes. It was nice that the restrooms were separated, with one for men and two for women.

I visited Sandbar six years ago, and I thought it was a tour where you could take pictures on the sand that appears at low tide. The staff were very accommodating, so if I had known that the sand wouldn't appear during the tour, I think I would have been satisfied.

6年前にサンドバーに行ったことがあるんですが、干潮のタイミングで砂地があらわれてそこで写真が撮れたので、そういうツアーだと思ってました。

Even with the chilly air that day, we had an absolute last. The crew was kind, attentive, lively and generally playful. The live band was amazing. We had a few hula dancers make an impromptu performance. It felt like a warm nd peaceful family get together. Highly recommend.

Departing from the Sheraton Waikiki in the heart of Waikiki. Everything is in English, and there are no Japanese speakers. The explanations are clear, so it's manageable.

The life jackets are the type you inflate yourself, but they are used by other companies as well, and as long as you inflate them properly, there are no issues.

The sea turtle snorkeling is just off the coast of Waikiki, right after departure. This time, we saw two turtles.

It took some time to find the turtles, but in the meantime, we enjoyed snorkeling with various fish.

Whether they are being fed or not, the fish come close, allowing you to experience swimming alongside them.

After snorkeling, we started sailing. In addition to free snacks, there are alcoholic beverages available for purchase.

Having a beer in Hawaii's dry climate after snorkeling was fantastic.

The waves during sailing were a bit high, but since the boat is a catamaran, it was not a problem. Once you get used to it, it becomes a fun attraction.

It was my first experience with snorkeling, but the instructor was always there to guide me and help me, so I was able to complete it safely. I signed up for this tour because I wanted to see the sandbar. There were Japanese staff members who provided explanations in Japanese very kindly. Additionally, there were foreign staff members who could speak Japanese, which made it very comfortable. The blue of the sea, the blue of the sky, and the colors of the coral reef were indescribably beautiful. I participated with my colleagues from work, and everyone enjoyed experiences like snorkeling, kayaking, and stand-up paddleboarding. We had a great time and felt like kids again. One regret I have is that the sandy beach didn't appear... I hope the sea remains beautiful forever.

A great experience to do on Oahu

This was our 4th trip to Oahu, I’ve been wanting to do the Kaneohe Sandbar for a while. The boat ride to the sand bar was great, we enjoyed the live music. We did the morning one, it was a tad bit windy and overcast so it was a little cold for our little ones to enjoy but we still got in the water and enjoyed the views, would definitely love to do again!
