From start to finish, this was one of the best experiences on the island as far as tours go. We got to the parking lot and we asked some locals where to go, and they directed us to the boat, which was at the very end of the dock. When we got in the folks working on the boat were very professional and welcoming. They have live music playing, and that was excellent as well. There was plenty of seating and they had complementary water, a juice, and donuts. They also had snacks for purchase and beer. There was restrooms on the boat and lifejackets. We were given clear instructions as to what activities we could do and for that price it was great. You could kayak you could do stand-up paddleboard you could snorkel or you could pay extra to do the banana boats or the bumper boats, but I think you had to sign up for those prior to going on the trip out. The whole family had fun and we were all able to try everything with the allotted amount of time that we were out on the water. It was a great experience overall, and we recommend it to all the families that visit Oahu.

The crew was friendly, and the tour started promptly on time.
Fun activities at the beautiful sand bar. Plenty of kayaks and snorkling gears to borrow.
The staffs were very attentive to each participant's need and made sure of the safety throughout the tour.
The boat has a nice deck on the back with a lot of scenic views along the route from the pier to the sandbar.

I was filled with anxiety on my first overseas trip, but there were people who spoke Japanese, so I had no problems at all.

I had a great time on the banana boat and bumper tube, teetering on the edge of falling off! Both activities required wearing life jackets, which made me feel safe.

During snorkeling, I also wore a life jacket and just swam on the surface, but at the snorkeling spot, I was thrilled to see two sea turtles and lots of small fish welcoming me! While touching the sea turtles is not allowed, you can get close enough to take pictures with your smartphone! Just be cautious of seasickness as the boat sways constantly. Also, it was just us, but after we finished, I was so cold that my body was shaking, so if you're worried, it's best to prepare a jacket or a bath towel to keep warm.

There was about a 30 to 40-minute wait from the pickup to the start, and after finishing the banana boat and bumper tube, there was a little over an hour before snorkeling, so you can grab a meal at nearby restaurants during that time.

For changing clothes, there was something like a changing room for one person, and there were two lockable restrooms where you could change. However, I just dried off with a towel without changing, and no one said anything while providing transportation.

Tips are given to different drivers for each boat, so after finishing the banana boat and bumper tube, you give a tip to that driver, and after snorkeling, you give a tip to the snorkeling guide.

送迎後から開始までに30~40分程、
バナナボート、バンパーチューブ終了からシュノーケリングまで1時間と少し時間があり、近くに飲食店もあるのでご飯はそのタイミングで済ませられます。

着替えは、1人分なら更衣室のようなものがあったのと、
鍵のかかるトイレが2つあるのでそこで着替えられますが、私は着替えずにタオルで拭いただけの濡れた状態でも特に何も言われず送迎してくださりました。

チップはボートごとに運転手が違うので、
バナナボートとバンパーチューブが終わったらその方に、
シュノーケリングが終わったらその方に渡します。

I stayed at a hotel near Kuhio Beach. I changed into my swimsuit at the hotel and took The Bus to get there. There were no particular landmarks at the meeting point, but staff appeared as the time approached. The staff spoke only English. It was a good decision to come in my swimsuit instead of changing there. The meeting point was in front of the restroom, but it was unavailable. There was a restroom on the yacht.

I took motion sickness medication based on other people's reviews, and none of my family of six experienced seasickness. The yacht, with its pink sails against the blue sky, was very beautiful. There were two staff members, who might have been brothers. They were cheerful and very kind. I was a bit anxious about not understanding English, but I felt at ease.

Since I can't swim, I borrowed a life jacket. During snorkeling, we were guided to a spot where we could see sea turtles. There is a rule that you must not approach within one meter, and if you accidentally get too close, you will be stopped. There were many beautiful fish, and I could have watched them forever. After snorkeling, before heading back to the port, we went a little east, allowing us to enjoy the beautiful scenery.

シュノーケリングでは、ウミガメのいるポイントまで案内してもらえました。1メートル以内に近づいてはいけないルールがあり、うっかり近づきすぎると制止されます。魚もたくさんいてとても綺麗で、ずっと見ていたいくらいでした。シュノーケリングが終わった後は、港に戻る前に少し東に走らせてくれて、美しい景色も堪能できました。

The live music was fun while traveling on the boat to The Sandbar and the donuts were fresh and good. The tubing was an absolute blast! The banana boat was not as fun as the tubing and my wife fell off although we did see sea turtles while on the banana boat. We would definitely do the tubing again. The snorkeling was fun with lots of fish swimming right in front of my face and a coral reef below you while you float on your stomach. The board you can stand on or kneel on and paddle was interesting and challenging. They also had kayaks but everybody wanted to use the boards. Playing volleyball with multiple people out in the water was fun and they also had other toys like footballs and water guns but nobody really used them. Just swimming in the middle of the ocean while standing on the sandbar was a blast. The sandwiches on the way home we're also fresh and good. The only thing that could make this better was if the boat did not have a roof so we can feel the breeze and fresh air while traveling out to The Sandbar. Overall I would definitely recommend this and do it again!

We utilized the afternoon plan for a family of four, including our elementary school-aged son and daughter. We drove to the meeting point with a rental car, and from there, it took about 20 minutes by boat. On the boat, we enjoyed lunch (croissant sandwiches, etc.) and drinks while taking in the scenery. After finishing our meal, we arrived offshore shortly after.

When I went, the water depth was just enough for an adult like me to stand a little, rather than being at a sandbar.

Once offshore, we enjoyed kayaking and stand-up paddleboarding, which thrilled the kids. During snorkeling, I was able to see many fish even as a beginner when diving in areas with coral. Additionally, there were about 4-5 staff members nearby at all times, so I felt comfortable letting the little ones play.

We also reserved a banana boat as an option, but due to some waves that day, we switched to a banana boat. The kids enjoyed the thrill of being towed at a decent speed, and we were amazed when a large sea turtle came right next to the boat. It was much bigger than the sea turtles we saw in Haleiwa Bay, and when I asked the staff, they mentioned that this area has few predators, allowing them to grow larger.

The tour lasted just under four hours, from around 12 PM to 4 PM, and there were staff members who spoke Japanese, making it a reassuring experience for those who are not confident in English.

I participated in the afternoon session with about 20 people in six groups. I noticed that there were significantly more participants in the morning session, likely more than double. If it’s less crowded, I think you can enjoy the activities for a longer time, so the impression may vary depending on how busy it is.

またスタッフが4-5名は随時近くに居てくれるので、多少小さな子がいても安心して遊ばせることができると思いました。

また、オプションでバンパーボートを予約したのですが、この日は波が少しあったので当日バナナボートに変更、そこそこのスピードで牽引され子供たちもスリルを楽しんだほか、大きなウミガメがボートのすぐ横まで寄ってきて感動しました。
ハレイワ湾で見たウミガメよりもだいぶ大きく、スタッフに聞いたところこの辺りは外敵が少ないため、大きく成長できるんだとか。

12時過ぎから16時ころまで4時間弱、楽しむことができるツアーで、参加中も日本語が話せるスタッフもいたので、英語が得意でない方にも安心して参加できるツアーだと思います。

私が参加したのは午後で6組で20名ちょっとくらいが参加、当日の午前のツアーで下船された方は非常に多く倍以上は参加者がいたのではと思います。空いているとアクティビティも楽しめる時間が長くなると思うので、混み具合で多少印象は変わるかもしれません。

When we mentioned my wife was from Puerto Rico, they immediately played music from there, which made the experience even more fun and personal. It's a bit expensive, but you should choose the PM course. The AM course can be cold if it's not sunny. When it's cloudy or rainy, the water visibility is low and it feels cold. The snorkeling equipment is old and there isn't enough, so I recommend buying some at ABC Store before going.

Last time, I participated in a different sandbar tour with Veltra around the same time, but it was so deep that my daughter, who is nearly 140 cm tall, couldn't touch the bottom, and it was cold, so we wanted to try again. It was really great!! We saw a lot of fish and were able to do many marine sports, which was the best. Even my 9-year-old daughter, who can't swim at all, had no problems with snorkeling for the first time. The banana boat was also fantastic. I would love to participate again. If I had to say something, I wish there were a few more drinks available...

I saw many comments about seasickness, so I took motion sickness medication beforehand and participated. However, the time to reach the sea turtle spot was shorter than I had imagined, and the rocking of the boat wasn't too severe. The staff provided detailed explanations and kindly encouraged everyone to take photos on board. When we arrived at the spot, each person jumped into the sea, but before that, they checked our snorkeling masks.

We were able to see a total of five sea turtles. In the water, everyone could swim freely, and it felt like we each returned to the boat after fully enjoying the experience. Since I got cold in the sea, it was helpful that there was a restroom on the boat. Although the public restroom at the meeting point was unavailable, there was a notice indicating that we could use the restroom at the hotel right in front, which I appreciated.

Even with cloudy weather, I was able to see turtles perfectly. The water clarity was high, and it truly felt like a natural aquarium with a wonderful view! Overall, I was very satisfied. I would like to participate again!

- If you're worried about guidance in English, it's good to let the staff know in advance, as they will pay attention to you.
- The meeting point is in front of the public restroom next to the Prince Hotel. If you're unsure, it's better to ask the hotel staff.
- It was written that drinks and snacks were included in the tour, but it didn't feel like they were being handed out. When I asked for juice, I was told it would be $4, and they showed me a menu card where the prices were indeed listed. When I confirmed that I was participating in the free drink plan, they said, "OK, then it's free!" It was a bit inconvenient that I had to confirm this myself.

We participated with two children, aged 10 and 7, and three adults. There were only two Japanese couples in our group, along with people from France, Canada, and South Korea, making it a multicultural experience. They asked if we were okay with English, and when I replied that I could understand a little, they kindly gathered the Japanese group and earnestly explained safety points while reading from their smartphones in Japanese. I was really touched by their effort!

The children, who were snorkeling for the first time, were a bit anxious at first, but just five minutes in, they were having so much fun! A sea turtle surfaced right where my daughter was, and even though the crew told us to stay back, it came closer. We ended up face to face, just 20 centimeters apart, which was an incredible experience. We also saw a couple of turtles, and the underwater world was truly moving; it was such a wonderful place.

I thought that if you go to Hawaii, you really shouldn't miss this. I will definitely use this service again next time. Thank you very much!

I was a bit anxious about whether I would really get to see sea turtles, but I was thrilled to see several of them up close. The staff also entered the water and would point out where the turtles were when they found them. However, the clarity of the water itself isn't that great, so while you can see the turtles up close if they are near, it's hard to see them well if they are a bit farther away. In fact, it's better to take off the mask they provide and see the turtles with your bare eyes as they come up to the surface multiple times. It's moving to see their adorable faces at the same eye level underwater!

Also, from the boat, you can enjoy views of the streets of Waikiki, Diamond Head, and people surfing, showcasing the quintessential Hawaii scenery. It was a lot of fun, combining a bit of cruising as well.

本当にウミガメに会えるのか少し不安もありましたが、何匹も間近に見ることができて感激しました。
スタッフさんも海の中に入り、ウミガメを見つけるとどこにいるかを教えてくれます。
ただ海自体の透明度はそれほどないため、水中でもウミガメが近くにいれば見えますが、少し離れるとよく見ることはできません。むしろ水面に何度も顔を出すウミガメを、貸し出ししてくれるマスクを外して裸眼で見る方がよく見れます。愛らしい顔を海の中で同じ目線で見られて感動します！
また、船上からはワイキキの街並みやダイヤモンドヘッド、サーフィンを楽しんでいる人々など、ザ・ハワイといった景観も充分見ることができ、ちょっとしたクルージングも兼ねてとても楽しめました。

During my long-awaited trip to Hawaii, I wanted to try snorkeling at Hanauma Bay even as a solo traveler in my 60s, so I signed up for a tour. As many have shared in their experiences, Chieko and Dan's hospitality was wonderful. They efficiently and kindly taught us how to put on the wetsuits and how to use the equipment and fins, making it easy for beginners to enjoy. I was worried about whether I could keep up at my age, but Chieko frequently checked in with me, asking, "Are you okay?" while guiding me along. I was thrilled to swim alongside sea turtles for quite a long time. I also got to meet a sleeping seal.
