This well-run tour took us to a place known as Turtle Canyon a few hundred meters off of Waikiki where sea turtles come to get cleaned by algae eating fish.
There were a couple of dozen of varying ages (judging by their sizes) and though touching is prohibited, it was easy to get close enough that you could have.
Sharp, amusing crew, well maintained and clean masks, snorkels, and fins provided, and cold local beer.

Since this was my first trip to Hawaii, I made a reservation for a tour that I thought would be enjoyable. The bus picked me up and dropped me off at the hotel, which was very helpful. The itinerary included a lot of activities like turtle watching, Angel's Sea, and snorkeling, which was great. I was worried about snorkeling since I'm not very fluent in English, but they provided a full set of equipment for us, and being with many other Japanese people made me feel safe and allowed me to enjoy it. At Angel's Sea, the tour guide took a lot of photos and was a wonderful person with a great sense of service, which made me very satisfied! Also, they grilled hamburgers for lunch on the boat, and it was very delicious. I think families with children can enjoy this as well, as the Japanese tour guide took care of small kids during snorkeling. It was a great experience that I wouldn't have been able to do on my own! I highly recommend this for anyone looking to have a fulfilling day!

I participated in a dolphin tour during the second half of my trip to Hawaii. Most of the trip was rainy and quite chilly, but on this day, it was sunny from the morning, and the temperature was high, making for a comfortable tour. I was worried about whether I would see dolphins, but I was truly moved to see them three times. When a dolphin passed right in front of me, I got goosebumps. Additionally, during the snorkeling time, I was able to see many sea turtles, making it a truly fulfilling tour. I heard that it can take time to find a pod of dolphins depending on the day, but when I participated in February, it took 4 hours to swim with the dolphins (sometimes they can be found in about 30 minutes). They generally stick around for hours until they find them, so it's wise not to schedule anything else after the tour.

However, even if it takes time to encounter the dolphins, you can swim with whales, turtles, and various fish in the meantime, which makes for a very satisfying experience. The staff were also friendly and welcoming, making it a great tour.

I participated with my parents, husband, and 2-year-old child. My husband and I took turns (if the timing worked out) to watch the dolphins.

When it started, it seemed like the timing wasn't going to work out, and I was wondering what to do when a staff member picked up my child. Amazingly, the child who usually cries didn't cry at all!! Thanks to that, my parents, husband, and I were all able to watch the dolphins together.

The staff were considerate of my child until the very end, and we were able to create wonderful memories, so I’m really glad!

I thought that seeing sea turtles while watching them would be a matter of luck, but I was so happy to see many of them. While snorkeling near the coral reefs, the sea turtles really swam right by me and underneath me, which was incredibly moving. Although the sea of angels didn't have a blue sky, the clarity was wonderful, and I really felt it was worth coming!

Before boarding the boat, we were excessively warned by the guide. “There will definitely be someone who gets seasick! If you take motion sickness medication for the first time, you’ll definitely fall asleep! Be careful! So, if you’re worried, please buy a motion sickness band!” In the end, even I, who usually gets seasick, didn’t feel sick, and no one around me seemed to be affected either. In fact, the boat didn’t rock much, and the distance was quite short. (Some people had already bought motion sickness bands.)

While walking on the sandbar, the guide was still cheerful, but before we started snorkeling, he said, “If you’re not confident in swimming, don’t do it! It suddenly gets deep! She provided a completely different explanation from the male guide, conveying the dangers while also giving clear criteria for what one could handle. Above all, she didn’t force immediate decisions, saying, “First, try on the wetsuit, practice, and then decide.” She also said, “If you get to the point where it gets deep and you feel uncomfortable, it’s easy! そして、サンドバーを歩いてるときは相変わらず明るく調子良いのに、シュノーケル始める前に「泳ぎに自信ない人はやめてよ！いきなり深くなるからね！必ずトラウマなって帰る人いるから！ウェットスーツきても浮かないから！安心じゃないから！」
→→結局、そんな人はいなかったし、あとでウエットスーツ来たら、まず沈まない。ホントにまっっったく泳げない人は無理だと思うが、その場で浮く技術なくても、25m泳げる人なら問題ないです。(シュノーケリングはすぐ隣でやってたので、様子が見れます)」
その説明と急な判断を求められたせいで、僕らは心配で辞めたし、他のカップルもけっこう心配な人はやめてた。僕は50mぐらい普通に泳げますし、シュノーケリングの経験もありましたが、説明がとても怖いイメージを受けて、やめました…このレベルの人はごまんといると思います。

海が危険な事は重々承知しており、そのことを伝えるのは必要な事だと思います。しかし、散々明るく調子良いくせに、急に危ないイメージの発言を連発して、すぐその場で判断させるのは、おかしいと思います。
このような結論に至ったのは、隣の船(同じツアー)の女性ガイドの同説明をあとで聞いたからです。その女性ガイドは、男性ガイドとは全く違う説明をして、危ないことも伝えつつ、これくらい出来れば平気ですとしっかりと判断材料もくれてた。なにより、その場ですぐに判断させず、「まずはウエットスーツを来てみて、練習して、そのあと判断してみてー」と言ってくれてた。さらに「深くなるところの手前まで行って、ダメだって思ったら簡単！その場でクルッと回って歩いて帰ってきていいから」とも言ってくれてて、本当に安心できる説明で、実際の検証も出来ただろう。
皆があなた(男性ガイド)のように、いつも海にいるわけではなく、初めてのシュノーケリングが普通だと思います。勿論最終判断は自己責任ですが、初めての人がいることを理解してしっかりと寄り添って説明するのがツアーガイドの役目だと思いました。危険だから辞めてって言うのは、ある意味素人でも出来ます。

I was worried about seasickness, but I took some motion sickness medication and participated. I also bought a wristband that claims to help with seasickness, which was sold on the boat for $20, and wore it! I enjoyed myself without feeling any seasickness at all! The sandbar was deeper than I expected, with water up to the waist of an adult. It started to rain partway through, but even so, as we continued swimming, the rain eventually stopped. The beauty of the ocean's blue color was not affected at all by the rain or clouds! They also provide wetsuits, which are definitely necessary during the rainy season. It was quite cold. On the way back, I returned in my wet swimsuit, feeling very cold from the wind, so wearing a windbreaker was just right. I also participated in snorkeling, and to my surprise, a sea turtle swam close by! Many beautiful fish came around, and I even spotted a large pufferfish! After snorkeling, we had a BBQ lunch, which was very delicious, making it the best day ever!

The weather was nice and very beautiful! There was a Japanese instructor who really got everyone excited. First, we anchored the boat in shallow water (about knee to waist deep) and had some time to take photos and practice snorkeling. After that, we moved to a larger coral reef area (a spot that was a bit deeper and had a faster current) to snorkel. If you're lucky, you might swim with turtles. When diving into the sea, they provide bread as bait. If you hold that, a lot of fish will come close, so it's a great photo opportunity! The day after heavy rain, the water was a bit murky, but it was still very beautiful.

On the day we went, there was seawater at the sandbar, but we had a great time. The water was a bit cold, but I think it's nice that they provide wetsuits for free. While I was on the boat, the wind was quite cold, but once we reached the sandbar, I was so captivated by the scenery that I forgot about the cold! The water was incredibly clear and beautiful, truly like paradise! It was a famous spot featured on TV and in magazines, so I wanted to experience it at least once, which is why I joined this tour! The guide's stories were really interesting and they were very kind, making the time on the boat a lot of fun! When we arrived at the sandbar, I asked for some photos, and they happily took many for me, even teaching me various poses, which made for wonderful memories! After that, we went turtle watching, and they pointed out where the sea turtles were. I was so moved to see wild sea turtles for the first time. Seeing so many floating turtles was incredibly cute! Afterward, we were served a hamburger lunch, and having lunch on the boat while looking at the sea was the best! It was super delicious!!! I also got to see a lot of fish up close while snorkeling, which felt amazing! It was absolutely fantastic! The weather was a bit chilly, so when I got back on the boat from the sea, it was very cold, but they provided warm drinks, which helped a lot. We got to visit the sandbar, see sea turtles, have lunch on the boat, and snorkel, and the staff were all friendly and kind, making it truly an exceptional tour! I was really happy to have so many experiences on my first trip to Hawaii! I definitely want to join this tour again in the summer or when it's warm! Experiencing the kindness of the people in Hawaii and the beauty of the sea was amazing! It became the best memory of my trip to Hawaii! In early March, I went to Hawaii for my honeymoon and participated in this optional tour. I was picked up at the hotel lobby around 9:30 and took about an hour bus ride to the port. I mostly slept during the ride, but it was enjoyable just to look at the scenery of Hawaii's nature and residential areas.

When we arrived at the port, we switched to a cruiser and set off for the sandbar! The weather was cloudy and rainy that day, and it was quite cold, reminiscent of winter in Hawaii. At the sandbar, we took photos, enjoyed beach volleyball, and spent our time freely. While we were having fun at the sandbar, the guide prepared BBQ hamburgers for us, and there were also pineapple sides, which made us very satisfied.

After that, we moved to a point where we could see sea turtles and went snorkeling! Since it was in a place where you couldn't touch the bottom, it might be scary for those who aren't used to it. 足が着かないところでするため、慣れてない人は怖いかも。。（もちろんライフジャケット有でガイドさんが目を光らせてくれています！！）
当日は、ウミガメを間近で見られた方もいらっしゃり、運が良ければ見れるかも！？
天気が生憎だったため、写真映えはしませんでしたが、ガイドさんの方も良い方ばかりで、トータルとしては満足です！！
次回行くときは天気に恵まれることを期待します！！

I participated with a friend and had my first experience with an underwater scooter.
The sea was so clear that I could see the sand from the boat, and I could also see fish swimming.

I wasn't quite sure how to operate the scooter during the sea floor walk, but the instructor was pushing down on the handlebars, so it was fine to keep my hands inside the helmet.

When we were signaled to dive deeper, my ears popped!

初シュノーケル＆フィンで船から深い海に入るのは最初勇気が
いりましたが、救命胴着をきているので沈まないので、
思い切って海に入りました。

フィンもあるから移動も早く海底にいる
ウミガメ3匹発見。
船から外れるとジェスチャーで岸側の方向へ行ってと指示がありました。
水中カメラ持ってくればよかったな。ウミガメ撮影出来ず残念。

人数が多かったのでシュノーケル時間が長かったです。
海の中をただ浮いているのも楽しかったです。
船の上は、とにかく寒い。大きめのタオルや着るものがあるといい。
ポテチとお水は自由に食べて飲んでOKでした。

水中スクーターの写真と動画を撮影してくださり、
写真と動画は、船の中で撮影写真を見せてくれました。
友人とまとめてだったからなのか、
動画も買うとディスカウントしてくれました。

お金は、船でお支払いします。
降りるとき、チップボックスを持ったお兄さんがいました。

水中バイクにまたがり、ハンドルはインストラクターが操作してくれました。
まき餌を振ると魚が寄ってきて楽しいです。
写真撮影をしてるときインストラクターが空気の輪っかを作って
楽しませてくれました。
船に上がるときは、海に潜るので怖かったですがインストラクターが
サポートしてくれ無事にあがることが出来ました。
一生に一度の思い出です。

I experienced a underwater scooter, stand-up paddleboarding, and snorkeling.

While I was stand-up paddleboarding and snorkeling, it was a bit windy, which made it feel colder. I could see corals, but there were hardly any fish.

The underwater scooter was really great! Fish came close, but unfortunately, they didn't have that tropical fish vibe and looked more like a school of mackerel (laughs).

I took photos with my smartphone and videos with an underwater camera, but there was an additional charge. Moreover, even though I paid, the photos taken with my smartphone were not sent to me.
