Disappointed with snorkeling. シュノーケリングにがっかり

The snorkeling was murky, possibly because the sea was shallow, and I couldn't see any fish except where the staff was scattering food. The coral was completely white, and I could hardly see anything. After snorkeling, I got to try stand-up paddleboarding for the first time, and the staff taught me how to ride it, which was a lot of fun.

The Pure Land existed. While listening to a ukulele performance, we took a boat to a diving spot, dove in a place with beautiful coral reefs and many fish, and enjoyed canoeing. I was able to create unforgettable memories.

A must do experience…. We arraigned for the shuttle to pick us up at our hotel which I highly recommend to add that to package because you are tired after the experience…. The staff was awesome and went out of their way to make sure we had a good time. The musicians were fantastic, beautiful voices and very funny. I highly recommend the higher package that includes the banana boat ride…. It’s so worth it

The morning tour on 11/3 couldn't have been better. The small deli/store has adult beverages, some limited hot items and small snacks but they do serve food. The pancakes where delicious but the egg spam and cheese breakfast sando was perfect. When we returned as the afternoon tour was starting the deli/store switched over to more lunch items like fried chicken which looked pretty good.

The tour was great! The crew was on point and the entertainment brought it to another level. Couple bathrooms and they served donuts, juice and water to start. The activities were a highlight. It's my first time out at the sandbar and just hanging in the water was the best. I'm 6ft and it was up to my neck at its highest, atleast where I ventured to. The dock was a good place to get some time off the water if not in the boat. Kayaking and sup were awesome. Snorkeling is a must do with Brudahh guy! The whole crew was a blast. The ke'aloha singers are worth the price alone.

Bring a cooler with whatever snacks/picnic food/drinks and adult beverages. Grab a towel and some sunscreen and you're going to have a great time! But forsure I'll be back!

Sidenote: we got there at 8am for our checkin at 845 and parking was sparse. I'm not sure where everyone else ended up but it didn't seem like a huge inconvenience wherever they parked. Just don't park where you aren't supposed to like the 2hr spots and the boat trailer spots.

The weather was great, and my excitement was high from the start. The female guide was very experienced, and it was nice that the group was divided into Japanese and English speakers. She took a lot of photos, and since we could practice snorkeling at the sandbar, my friends who were trying it for the first time seemed to enjoy it without any confusion. Everything was perfect until the end, and I can only say that I was glad to participate.

The highlight of this trip was the snorkeling tour at Heaven's Sea, and we were fortunate with the weather, making it a lot of fun. It was a day with a few clouds. The captain and crew were very accommodating, and they communicated in English with smiles, which eased my worries and made it feel like we understood each other. The visibility underwater was poor, so I couldn't see much. After getting back on the boat, the cold was incredibly intense, so I recommend that participants bring a dry T-shirt or a dry jacket.

The snorkeling lasted just under an hour, but it was quite exhausting. For me, it was the right amount of time. I was also able to enjoy seeing the sea turtles. The hamburger for lunch was delicious. With unlimited soft drinks, I didn't have to worry about hydration. A larger towel is definitely a must.

It was great until we got on the boat, but the waves were so strong that I got seasick and couldn't enjoy it at all. It seems that Japanese people are gathered on the second floor of the boat, but it shakes a lot up there. I definitely think that anyone who gets motion sickness should avoid this. During our time, we couldn't even see any dolphins. Honestly, I felt like I wanted at least a little bit of my money back.

There are no changing rooms, so we went in our swimsuits and wiped off our wet bodies before getting on the bus for the return trip. Some people were changing in the restroom, but there are only three stalls, so it gets crowded. It might be tough for those who are not good with the cold.

Overview:
The meeting point is the Holocai Catamaran booth located on the beach side of the Outrigger Reef Waikiki Beach Resort on the first floor of the hotel. If you're unsure, you can enter the hotel from the Steak Shack side and walk towards the abc store to find it.

There, you check in. There are about 12 participants. Since the boat will be moored on the sandy beach, you'll need to take off your sandals to board. About four strong men will be your guides. They look impressive, like old-time sailors from a movie. As I listened to the explanations (in English), we soon moved to an area where we could see honu (sea turtles). (I didn't feel much rocking.) Most participants were foreigners, with only a few Japanese. You can borrow snorkeling sets and life jackets. Wearing the jacket is mandatory, but whether to inflate it is up to personal judgment. Beginners should inflate it, while experienced snorkelers who want to dive can keep it deflated. The spots where honu are found are crowded with various tour groups, so we shared the space and slowly approached the honu together. We observed the honu as they surfaced for air, keeping a respectful distance. The guide provided friendly explanations and directed us on where to go. However, in the latter half, things became less organized, and people started to act freely, so it's good to occasionally look up to see where the guide is or swim towards the direction of someone calling out "Holokai!" そこで受付。参加人数は12名ほど。砂浜にボートがつくのでサンダルを脱いで乗船。屈強な男たち4名ほどがガイドをしてくれる。かっこいい。映画の中の昔の船乗りみたいにかっこいい。なんとなく説明(英語)を聞いているといつの間にかホヌ(ウミガメ)がいる辺りに移動。(あまり揺れは感じませんでいた)参加者の多くは外国人。日本人はわずか。借りれるのはシュノーケリングセットと救命ジャケット。ジャケットは着用マストだがふくらませるかどうかは個人判断。初心者なら膨らませ、経験者で潜水したい場合は空気を入れなければ良い。ホヌがいるスポットは様々はツアーの客が群がっているので、譲り合ってゆっくりみんなでホヌに近づく。息継ぎのために水面まで上がってくるホヌを一定の距離を保ちながら観察。ガイドがフレンドリーに説明をしてくれたりどっちに行くかを案内してくれる。ただ後半は段々と統率がなくなってきて自由に行動し始めるので、たまには顔を上げてガイドがどこにいるのか、またはホロカイ！と声を上げているほうへ泳いで迷子にならないように。水下にホヌがいたときは、水中カメラを持っている客から(私はgopro)借りて、ガイドが下まで潜って間近で撮影してくれた。とてもいい思い出。ある程度観察したら船に戻り、残りの時間をワイキキの海をセーリングしながら自由時間。ソフトドリングは無料。アルコールは有料(購入時だけIDが必要。その予定なければIDは要らない)参加者各々が自由に写真を撮ったり船先端にある網？の上で寛いだり…ガイドは常に明るく接してくれたり、日本から来たとわかると少し覚えている日本語を話してくれたり…かなりゆったりと時間を過ごしながら帰路へ…

感想：
もちろんその日の天気や波に寄りますが、私の場合、揺れはほとんど気にならず、とても快適に過ごせました。日本語フレンドリーではありませんし、完全にネイティブのノリや喋り方ですが、そこまで難しいことは言いませんししませんし、聞けばとてもフレンドリーに教えてくれます。天気がいい場合、日焼けするので長袖やサングラスを持ってくと良いと思います。水中カメラはあれば是非とも持っていくことをおすすめします。
船から降りた後は目の前にステークシャックがあるので、そのままお昼に食べました。

もちろん海外なノリが多いため、苦手な方は考慮されたほうが良いですが、とても気分の良い、南国にきたなーーーーと思える体験でした。特に何を強要されるわけでもなく、各々が自由に旅行を謳歌している、そんな雰囲気でした。

I wanted to go to Kailua Beach, but I participated in a tour due to concerns about the time it would take to get there and the unfamiliar transportation. The pickup service to a nearby hotel was very helpful. The driver spoke in English, but I felt reassured as many of the other participants were Japanese. Additionally, there was a Japanese female staff member who provided explanations in Japanese beforehand, which was great! (I think it's important to note that she may not always be available.) The other staff members were locals, but they could speak some simple Japanese and told us about the fish and sea turtles, which was fun as they spoke to us in Kansai dialect. Even with the basic plan, there were three options: SUP, snorkeling, and boards, and rotating among them turned out to be just the right amount of time, so I was satisfied.

カイルアビーチに行きたかったのですが、移動に時間がかかってしまうことや慣れない交通機関が不安だったりことからツアーに参加しました。近くのホテルまで送迎がありとても助かりました。運転手は英語で話していましたが、他の参加者は日本人が多かったので安心しました。また、1人日本の女性スタッフがいて、事前に日本語で説明してくれたのが良かったです！（常にいるとは限らないと思うので注意が必要です）他のスタッフさんは現地の方々ばかりでしたが、簡単な日本語は話せて、魚や海亀がいると教えてくれたり、関西弁で話しかけてくれて楽しかったです。基本のプランでもsup.シュノーケリング.ボードと3種類あり、交代交代で使うと意外と時間も丁度良かったので、満足できました。

This time I was with my 3.5-year-old, and thanks to the flippers, they were able to swim smoothly! The kids said this trip was the most fun they've ever had, and it seems they really enjoyed jumping off the boat. The hamburger was hearty with a strong meat flavor, large, satisfying, and delicious—I was very pleased! The drinks were all-you-can-drink, and the kids loved the warm cocoa after coming out of the sea. The staff were all wonderful, and the beach volleyball and conversations were fantastic. My friend and I enjoyed it so much ! It's 3 hrs fun! Book now and you won't regret it. It has free sandwich for lunch and juice but you can bring your own food too and your alcohol! Yay!

This was my favorite part of my visit to Oahu! The views are stunning! An absolute must see. Both my boyfriend and I had never gone snorkeling before, but this tour made it very simple, safe, and fun for us. The staff are all friendly and helpful. A must do if you are visiting the beautiful island of Oahu.

Great experience out with the boat crew in Sandbar. Music was great and the entire crew shared the mahalo spirit. Definitely recommend getting to harbor early for parking. I had to park on street but you can safely with other cars.

I was able to see about 3 turtles and an octopus. They don’t go too far out and it’s a pretty quick trip if you want to see some sea life and also do other things with your day. The catamaran ride was smooth and I enjoyed the short ride. Had a cocktail on our way back. Crew was friendly and couldn’t ask for a better time. Oh the music was great too!!

I made a reservation for the morning session, which lasts about four hours in total. First, be aware that there is hardly any parking available for the rental cars. If you can't find a spot, you might have to park on the street along the road. (When I left after the morning session, there were cars parked all along both sides of the road.)

There were some people who struggled to find parking and were running late, but they waited for them, so I don't think you'll be left behind. However, it might be a good idea to call if you happen to be late.

As for what to bring, you'll need a swimsuit, sunscreen, and towels. You can go snorkeling, but be careful not to step on the coral, as it can cause injuries. It would be reassuring to have some kind of water shoes for the ocean.

For stand-up paddleboarding (SUP) and kayaking, it's first come, first served, and there are plenty of them available, so just let the staff know when you want to go out. During this time of year, the tide was high, so we couldn't see the sandbar, but the water was shallow enough for beginners, which I thought was nice.

On the way to and from the boat, we also got to experience the local excitement of Hawaii, which was really fun! Mahalo!

私は、午前の部で予約しました。全部で4時間程度です。まずレンタカーの人は駐車場が全然ないので注意です。止められなかったら、道沿いに路上駐車しました。(午前の部終わって帰る時には道の両側に路駐だらけでした。)
駐車場停めるのに手こずって遅い人いたけど待ってくれてましたので、恐らく置いていかれることはないかと思いますが万が一遅くなった場合は電話した方が良さそうです。
持ち物は、水着、日焼け止め、タオルなど。
シュノーケリングができるのですが、サンゴを踏んでしまって怪我する恐れがあります。海で履く用の靴下みたいなやつあると安心です。
supやカヤックは早い者勝ちで数も多いのでやりたい時にお兄さんに言えば乗れました。
この時期は潮が満ちてかサンドバーは見れなかったが足がつく程度の海で初心者にもいいのかなと思いました。
行き帰りの船上ではハワイのローカルな盛り上がりも体験できてとっても楽しかったです！！
