After signing the waiver at the meeting point, we boarded a larger boat. We were given fins and goggles there. The size of the fins can be adjusted after trying them on! It takes about 15 minutes to reach the spot where we can see sea turtles. The boat sways a bit, so if you're prone to seasickness, it might be a good idea to have some motion sickness medication...! Once we started swimming, we were able to see the sea turtles! They were very large, and I was surprised! The guide was also very kind, and even though I didn't understand English, I had a great time! I definitely want to participate again!

The sea was a bit murky, but we were able to encounter sea turtles about 5-6 times. It takes about 10 minutes by boat to get there, and we snorkeled for a little over an hour. It's definitely a good idea to bring drinks, sunglasses, sunscreen, a rash guard, and motion sickness medication.

All the instructions are in English, so having a certain level of English proficiency would be reassuring. There were no other Japanese people besides us, but the crew members were very kind. Each person snorkeled, and when a turtle appeared, they would point out the direction. It felt like everyone swam to see the turtles, so I think being able to swim to some extent would enhance the experience.

注意事項等全て英語となるのである程度英語力があった方が安心かと思います。
私達以外に日本人はいなかったですが、クルーの皆さんがとても親切でした。
各自シュノーケルをして、ウミガメが現れるとその方角を教えてくれます。各自泳いでカメを見に行く感じで、ある程度泳げた方が楽しめるかなと思いました。

We arrived at the snorkeling spot in no time after departure. Once we put on our gear and entered the water, I was amazed to see colorful fish swimming right in front of me. As I swam towards where the staff pointed, I was thrilled to see a sea turtle swimming gracefully!

All the staff were friendly and provided thorough explanations, so I felt secure participating in the tour. My elementary school-aged child also seemed very happy and enjoyed snorkeling the whole time. I would love to join again on our next trip to Hawaii.

I thought we would bring our own fins and shoes, but instead, we had to leave our shoes in a basket outside the boat and go in barefoot. We were able to borrow fins and goggles. My mother waited on the boat. In August during Obon, the sun was strong and there was no place to hide, so I think it's good to have towels or something. The wind was strong enough to blow away hats. We were the only Japanese people there, and everything was in English, so we struggled a bit, but a kind female staff member helped us in Japanese using her smartphone. I didn't realize that drinks were free after snorkeling, so the person who was informed was able to drink. There was a menu, and they made beautiful cocktails for us.

I went on a day when the water level was about waist-high. I enjoyed snorkeling, canoeing, and paddleboarding to my heart's content. The music on the boat created a great atmosphere, and the donuts were delicious.

I opted for a pickup from downtown Honolulu, but on the way there, the driver almost left without confirming my name. Even when I tried to tell him my name, he didn’t listen and closed the door on me. After a while, he opened the door and let me on, saying that I was indeed on the reservation, but that initial interaction left a very negative impression.

The participants in the tour were mostly young people and families, and as a senior couple, we felt a bit out of place at first. However, driven by our long-held dream of swimming with the honu, we decided to join the tour.

Our experience was amazing! We were truly able to swim next to the honu. There were also various fish of all sizes nearby, allowing us to have the experience we had always dreamed of.

We also tried stand-up paddleboarding. I fell into the ocean several times, but it was fun, and while laughing, I managed to stand up eventually.

The staff engaged with each participant, and we had a really enjoyable time. I'm so glad we took the plunge and participated!

一緒のツアーに参加された方は、予想通り若い方たちや家族連れの方がほとんどで、シニア夫婦の私たちはちょっと気後れするかなと思っていたのですが、長年の夢だったホヌと一緒に泳ぎたいという思いから、思い切って参加してみました。

The meeting place was the yacht harbor on the ocean side of the Waikiki Prince Hotel, and it was easy to find. I participated about three years ago, and it was so great that I decided to join again this time. The staff were truly kind and friendly. There were also Japanese staff members who provided attentive support, so I think even those who are not used to it can participate with confidence.

This time, my family of three joined, and during snorkeling, the staff warmly watched over my slow-swimming daughter and even pointed out where the sea turtles were. I had planned to see sea turtles in Okinawa before, but I couldn't, so I went to Hawaii for a second chance. I was able to see them successfully. One turtle came up to the surface, and about four were gathered at the bottom.

以前沖縄でウミガメを見ようと思ったのですが、その時は見られずハワイでリベンジ。無事見ることができました。1匹水面に上がって来ていたのと、4匹ぐらい底に固まっていました。

説明は英語で行われますが、ジェスチャー交えて説明してもらえるので、英語が得意でなくとも雰囲気でなんとなくわかります。

あと私は特に酔わなかったのですが、船やアクティビティ中の水面は結構波打つので、船酔いが心配な方は酔い止めを持っていくことをお勧めします。それと意外と寒いです。

The staff were friendly and very kind. They thoroughly explained how to use the snorkeling gear in advance, and after putting on life jackets, we were guided to deeper areas with coral reefs after getting accustomed in the shallow waters, while being closely monitored.

At the boundary of the shallow area, beautiful fish and sea turtles were swimming nearby, making for a very enjoyable time. After that, we played on the boards, and the parents seemed to have more fun than the kids. The weather was a bit disappointing with clouds, but my family didn't mind as it reduced the worry about sunburn.

スタッフの方は気さくでとても親切でした。シュノーケルの使い方など事前にしっかり説明されライフジャケットをつけて浅瀬で慣れてから珊瑚礁のある深めの所に誘導されましたがしっかり見守りもされていました。
浅瀬との境界で綺麗な魚や海がめが側で泳いでいてとても楽しい時間でした。
その後はボード遊びをして子供より親が楽しんでいました。天気は雲でやや残念でしたが日焼けの心配が減ったと家族は気にしていませんでした。
