The day before the snorkeling tour, Waikiki was sunny every day, but just before the meeting time, while having breakfast and looking outside, it started pouring rain and the wind picked up.
I thought, "Is this going to be canceled?" as my husband and I headed to the meeting place, but to our surprise, everyone was cheerful and said, "Once you're inside, it's the same! We're going ahead today!"
While I was relieved that it wasn't canceled, I couldn't help but feel cold waiting at the meeting spot due to the heavy rain and strong winds.

The snorkeling itself was a lot of fun, and I was very satisfied because I got to see many sea turtles and fish! We brought our own snorkel sets and fins, which made swimming easier. They provided us with foam sticks, allowing us to enjoy it for a long time.

However, the sailing after snorkeling was just freezing, and I was shivering. The towel I brought was wet from wiping off the rain and my body, so even covering myself with it didn't help, and even though I had never experienced seasickness before, I ended up feeling nauseous. The weather changed from rain to cloudy.

I realized I should have brought an extra towel for drying off and taken seasickness medication. When we left the hotel, it wasn't raining, so it was a big miscalculation.

中止にならなくて嬉しい反面、大雨で風が強くて集合場所で待っている間も寒くてしょうがなかったです。

シュノーケリング自体はとっても楽しく、ホヌにもお魚にもたくさん会えたので大満足！！
私たちはシュノーケルセットとフィンも持参していたので泳ぎやすかったです。
発砲スチロールの棒は貸してくださり、長時間でも楽しめました。

しかしシュノーケリングの終了後のセーリングは、ただただ寒くて凍えていました。
持参したタオルも雨と体を拭いて濡れていたため、それを体にかけても寒くて、尚且つ、今まで一度も船酔いのした事のない私でも、船酔いしてしまいました。
お天気は雨から曇りになっていました。

船酔いの薬を飲んで、寒さ対策は忘れずに体を拭く以外のタオルを持っていったらよかったなと感じました。
宿泊ホテルを出発するときには雨は降っていなかったので、大誤算でした。

I participated on April 17, 2013. The weather was great, and I was able to swim with over 100 dolphins! I also saw about two sea turtles, and to my surprise, I was able to see a whale from the boat, which I thought was out of season. I felt like I had been saving my luck for this moment since I hadn't been very lucky lately.

One group probably had around 20 to 30 dolphins, and I went into the water three times, encountering them twice. I swam with four or five groups, so there might have been around 150 dolphins in total. It was just so lucky.

Our guide, Minako, was very clear in her explanations and had a bright personality, which was wonderful. I forgot the name, but Captain Papa? also took us accurately to the points, and during the whale watching, he kindly waited on the spot from when we dove until we surfaced.

My mother, who was with me, decided to stay on the boat at one point, saying, "I don't want to go in the water anymore today," but Minako frequently encouraged her not to push herself, so she was able to rest without hesitation. Since it was a tour with many entries, quite a few people chose to rest on the boat during the second session (snorkeling at the tropical fish and sea turtle points).

Even though the weather was nice, we had been snorkeling for quite a while, so it got quite cold, and the warm tea we received on the boat was much appreciated. The snacks were also quite delicious. I devoured a cinnamon pastry and cheese. I was a bit concerned about the calories in the cereal bar, so I took it home.

I really had a great time. I definitely want to take my husband, who stayed home this time, with me next time.

ウミガメも2頭ほど見ることができ、おまけに時期が終わったかと思われたクジラも船の上から見ることができました。最近何かとツイていなかったので、「このために運をとっていたのか？」と思うほどでした。

ひとつの群れがたぶん2,30頭で、3回海に入って2回遭遇、4、5グループと一緒に泳ぐことができたので、もしかすると150頭くらいかもです。とにかくラッキーでした。

ガイドのミナコさんの説明はわかりやすく、明るい人柄でとても良かったです。お名前を忘れてしまったのですが、キャプテンパパ？もポイントまで的確に連れて行って下さり、ホエールの時も潜ってから浮き上がるまでその場で待機してくださるなど、親切でした。

同行の母が途中、「ちょっと今日はもう水に入りたくない」と船上に残っていたのですが、無理しないで～とミナコさんが頻繁におっしゃってくださっていたので、遠慮せず休むことができました。エントリー回数の多いツアーだったので、2時限目（熱帯魚やウミガメのポイントでのシュノーケル）はさすがに船上でお休みされる方が多かったです。

良いお天気と言えども、結構な時間シュノーケルしていたので冷えてしまい、船上でいただいた温かいお茶はありがたかったです。スナックも結構おいしかったです。シナモン系の菓子パンとチーズぺろりと食べてしまいました。シリアルバーはさすがにカロリーが気になって持ち帰りました。

本当に楽しかったです。
今度はお留守番してもらった夫もぜひ連れて行きたいと思いました。

This is my sixth time in Hawaii! I've wanted to join this tour for a while, and I finally participated this time.

Once we arrived at the port, we put on our wetsuits and immediately boarded the boat. The water temperature is low during this season, and the boat is fast, so being exposed to the wind the whole time was quite cold. Renting a wetsuit for $10 was definitely the right choice. By the way, everyone in the group rented one (laughs).

We set sail and searched for about two hours. Ultimately, we headed north up to just before the North Shore, but there was no sign of dolphins, and everyone was getting tired.

At that moment, we encountered a whale! It's rare to see one at this time of year. Everyone was thrilled by this unexpected encounter.

So, what about the dolphins? We received information from another boat that they were near the port! It was a case of "right under the lighthouse." We quickly headed south and managed to meet the dolphins. Depending on the day, there can be hundreds of them, but there were only a few on this day. After that, we moved to a snorkeling point and got to swim with about five sea turtles. They came close enough to touch.

The staff's energy was incredibly high throughout, so if you're not a fan of that kind of lively student-like atmosphere, it might be a bit overwhelming. Also, it's quite intense, so I don't think it's suitable for those who lack physical stamina or for older individuals. It really drains your energy.

When we finally spotted them, it was like "Let's go!" and everyone jumped in at once (there were also people from other companies), so it got crowded, and I ended up getting kicked by someone’s fin.

But it all became a great memory.

いっきに南下し、なんとかイルカ先生に会うことができました。
日によっては何百匹といるそうですが、この日は数頭でした。
しかしこの目でハッキリと見ることができたし、近くで泳ぐことができて本当に
良かったです。

その後はシュノーケルポイントに移動して、亀大教授と泳ぐこともできました。
５匹くらいいましたよ。触れるくらい近くまで来てくれました。

スタッフのテンションが終始バカ高いので、そういう学生ノリの賑やかなのが苦手な方は苦痛かも？
しかも結構なスパルタなので、体力に自信のない方、高齢の方には向いてないと思います。ものすごく体力を消耗します。

日によるのかな？？すぐに見つかる日もあるらしいから、そういう日は楽チンなのかも。私達はなかなか見つからず苦労しましたからね。
みつかった瞬間、それいけーーーーって感じで、みんなが一斉に飛び込み（他の会社の連中もいるから）混みあっていて、前の人のフィンで蹴られる始末です。

でも全部がいい想い出になりました。

This was awesome!!! We not only saw dolphins but we saw humpback whales at the end of their migration. They also took us to a reef where we snorkeled with a sea turtle and saw tons of tropical fish. The girls on the boat crew were awesome. Highly educated about the ocean environment and the sea creatures. This was definitely one of the highlights of our Hawaii vacation. Don't miss this activity. Especially if you can do it during the whale migration season. Also, Domingo, our shuttle driver that picked us up from the hotel was a great tour guide as well.

I had a great time! (＾＾)
I rated it 4 stars because of the weather and the cold, but the cruise staff were such fun people and kept us entertained throughout. Perhaps due to the weather, the sandbar was a bit underwhelming, but we were lucky to see sea turtles popping up here and there, and we even spotted a manta ray.
I definitely want to try again on a nice day. More than that... I wanted to join that staff team!

天気と寒さで、☆４にしたけれど・・・クルーズスタッフが、楽しい人たちで終始楽しませていただきました。天気のせいかサンドバーは、いまひとつこんなものかな？でしたが、ウミガメがあちこちに顔を見せてくれましたし、マンタまで見れたのはラッキーでした。
是非、お天気のいい時に再挑戦したいです。
とゆうより・・あのスタッフメンバーに入りたいくらいでした！！

They pick you up at your hotel and drive you to the west side. They gear you up, they advise you not to touch or chase. You get on the water and if you're lucky, like us, you spot a pair of hump back whales. Then when they locate the dolphin herd, you get to swim among them for about an hour. Then you get to spend almost as much time over a reef, where you can swim with sea turtles and other fish. It was just terrific.

Then you get a decent sandwich and a drink, because you will be hungry after a full morning. Then they drive you back to Waikiki.

Excellent photo disk available to chronicle your trip, at a good price, if you wish. 400 photos of your trip + bonus file with great pics of dolphins, whales, and the area.

Only negative was no changing facility, public restrooms only. Also no bathroom on the boat so be prepared.

Definitely worth the price for this experience.

It was my first trip to Hawaii. Since I was going, I really wanted to see the sandbar, so I signed up for this tour.
It was cloudy on the day of the tour, so the water was cold when I got in, but the scenery was amazing.
I was able to see fish and coral while snorkeling.
Fortunately, I also got to see a sea turtle up close.
The hamburger we had for lunch was incredibly delicious!!
I enjoyed a relaxing lunch on the boat while listening to the guide's live performance, gazing at the beautiful sea, and it created wonderful memories.

There were only two Japanese families, and the rest were foreigners. The instructor's English had a thick accent (Yankee-style speaking), making it difficult to understand. I could only grasp about half of the meaning. Still, it was not a problem. We snorkeled for about 30 minutes to an hour off the coast of Waikiki. Since we had elementary school children with us, we brought life jackets, snorkels, masks, fins, and marine shoes from Japan. We encountered fish and turtles (honu). Bringing a waterproof camera is the best.

We departed in the morning, and the weather was cloudy with occasional sunshine, so it was cold on the boat after snorkeling. Especially with wet swimsuits and rash guards, it was chilly. It's essential to bring a thick bath towel from the hotel. Foreigners seem fine being naked, though.

After that, we went sailing towards Kahala. It was nice to see the Waikiki Beach hotel group from a different angle offshore. The group photo taken at departure was about $15, roughly the size of B5. It turned out quite nicely. This tour might be a bit tough for children under kindergarten age.

In summary: It's impossible for toddlers to be in the sea without being able to touch the bottom, just with a Styrofoam stick! Life jackets are essential. Bring a bath towel for warmth. And it costs $15.

朝出発で天候がくもり、時々晴れだったのでシュノーケリングの後は船上では寒いです。特に濡れた水着やラッシュガードは寒い。ホテルから厚手のバスタオル持参が必須。外人は裸でも平気みたいですが。
その後カハラ方面へセーリング。沖合いからのワイキキビーチホテル群がいつもと違う方向から見れて良かったです。
出発時に撮ったグループ写真が確か１５＄。Ｂ５くらいの大きさ。　なかなかきれいに撮れてましたよ。幼稚園児以下はこのツアーは少々きついかも。
総括：足の届かない海に発砲スチロールの棒だけで幼児は無理！ライフベストが必須です。
寒さ対策のバスタオル。　そして１５＄。

I checked the tide levels at the sandbar online in advance and chose this day, so it was disappointing that the temperature was lower than expected and there was a strong wind. However, I still had a wonderful day.

Out of 70 participants, 40 were Japanese (including 10 newlyweds!), and we split into two boats, one with a Japanese guide and the other with an English guide. Since it was a boat with only Japanese people, it felt quite relaxed.

When we arrived at the sandbar and entered the water from the stairs, I was submerged up to my waist. Wow, it was cold! After moving a few meters forward, it quickly became shallow, with the shallowest parts being about ankle-deep. The shallow areas felt somewhat warmer. Here, beginners practiced snorkeling and some enjoyed beach volleyball (it looked tough due to the strong wind).

During this time, the staff actively came to the participants to take photos while guiding us on poses, so we ended up with many memorable pictures. The meal consisted of hamburgers and boiled beans, which were quite delicious.

After eating, we took a tour around an area with many sea turtles (there were a few, but it was difficult to capture the right moment for photos) and moved to a snorkeling point at the coral reef. この間、スタッフの方が積極的に参加者の所に来て（ポーズを指導して）撮影してくれるので、思い出深い記念の写真が沢山出来ました。
食事は、ハンバーガーと煮豆？なかなか美味しかったです。
食後は、ウミガメが多いエリアをぐるっと回って（数匹いましたが、撮影タイミングは難しいです）、シュノーケリングを行う珊瑚礁のポイントに移動です。
この日は、寒くて風も強かったために体感温度はかなり低く、シュノーケリングをパスする人もかなりありましたが、折角なので私は頑張る事にしました。そう！この日のために、水深15mまで使えるデジカメを購入して来たのですから・・。
ライフジャケットとマスク類の装備を身につけて海に入ったものの、水の冷たさにしばらく圧倒されていましたが、その内慣れてきました。船上から餌をまいてくれたので、魚がすごく集まって来ます。
初めてのシュノーケリングでしたが、思ったより上手く出来てちょっと嬉しくなってしまいました。
終わって、船上に上がると風が吹き抜けて一気に体温が下がりました「うお～！寒い」海の中の方がよほど暖かかったように思えます・・ガイドさんに言われて、濡れている物を脱いで乾いた服に着替えたら、だいぶ楽になりました。
私はラッシュガードやリーフブーツを用意して行きましたが、リーフブーツは不要で裸足でOKでした。
パーカーは買わなかったのですが、あった方が良いと思いました。

The tour went quite far south in search of dolphins, and both my parents and I were moved to see nearly 30 dolphins!! The wetsuits are available for rent, but they help prevent sunburn and provide buoyancy in the water, so whether you're confident in swimming or not, wearing one allows you to focus on the dolphins, which was thrilling and made for an amazing day~♪

I didn't have high expectations for anything other than the dolphins, but the cheeseburgers and the hospitality of the staff were excellent! The tour also includes water activities like snorkeling and kayaking after lunch, so you definitely should experience them!!

ツアーはイルカを探してかなり南下したけれど、
イルカ30匹近くを見る事ができて両親も私も感動!!
ウエットスーツが有料だけど、日焼け防止や水中で浮力が出るので、泳ぎに自身があってもなくても着ているとイルカに集中できて感動するし、楽しかったし最高の１日でした～♪

イルカ以外は期待してなかったけれど、チーズバーガーやスタッフの方のホスピタリティ最高！
昼食後のシュノーケリング、カヤックなどの水のアクティビティもツアーに含まれているので、是非体験するべき!!

We had a hard time finding dolphins and only spotted a group of six just in the nick of time. We finally went snorkeling, but we couldn't swim with them properly. We were disappointed as we had to head back due to time constraints, but thanks to the driver's consideration, we got a second chance. During the second attempt, we were able to swim quite close to them and had a great time.

Such an amazing experience! The staff were really helpful and friendly and knew a lot about the animals we would be seeing. We got to snorkel with a pod of dolphins for about an hour - an hour and a half, which was fantastic and then they took us to another snorkel reef spot where we saw about 5 sea turtles ! Would definitely recommend it !

I was worried about whether I could wake up properly since we had an early morning meeting, but I did my best to meet Dolphin Sensei. It takes about an hour by car, but the staff member, Julie, was so entertaining that we arrived in no time.

Since it's cold this season, we rented wet suits (for a fee) and set off! Along the way, we encountered sea turtles and whales. Several times!!

However, I was feeling down because we couldn't meet Dolphin Sensei. But the staff worked hard to find them, and in the end, we were able to swim with the dolphins. I'm grateful to the staff for their perseverance.

The mother and baby dolphins were so cute!

朝早い時間の集合だったので、ちゃんと起きられるか不安でいたが、
イルカ先生に会うためにがんばりました。
車で１時間くらいのところなのですが、車中ではスタッフのジュリさんのトークがおもしろくて

I enjoyed beach volleyball and snorkeling, and the lunch was very delicious. It was also lucky to encounter sea turtles while moving by boat. As an optional tour, I was quite satisfied, but the air conditioning on the shuttle bus from the port back to the hotel was too strong, making it tough on my chilled body after coming out of the sea. Other participants were also shivering and saying it was cold. I recommend bringing something like a thicker hoodie to wear.

It's a tour I would like to experience at least once.
