I came to Hawaii for the first time and was enjoying myself in Waikiki. Then I participated in a tour at Dolphin School and felt like I encountered what I was looking for in Hawaii. Waikiki is also a lot of fun, but for those who want to see the true face of Hawaii, I definitely recommend participating.

The tour was enjoyable for a wide range of ages, from children to seniors. The snorkeling was disappointing as it wasn't a free experience; we had to swim in a line. Other than that, the friendly atmosphere created by the crew made it a very enjoyable time. Although it was early March and we were blessed with great weather, the water was quite cold, so I felt that some preparation for the cold was necessary.

ツアーの内容としてはお子様からご年配まで幅広く楽しめるものでした。
シュノーケリングは自由に楽しめるものではなく、並んで泳ぐ期待外れなものでした。
それ以外はクルーのフレンドリーな雰囲気でとても楽しく過ごす事が出来ました。

The colors of the sea were truly beautiful, with green in the shallow areas and a deep blue in the deeper parts.

At the place where we got off the boat, the water level was up to my waist, but it became shallower as we approached the sandbar, eventually reaching about knee height.

There were many participants, and we went out to sea on a two-tiered boat. Each group on the boat had a chance to snorkel while the other group enjoyed light snacks. The snacks included hot dogs and fruits, which were plentiful and delicious.

Since there was a family that was anxious about swimming, we lined up last for snorkeling. Because we were behind everyone, we heard someone in the distance say, "There’s a turtle!" but we couldn’t do anything about it. By the time we returned to the boat, there were people playing with floaties and boards around us, as well as others resting on the boat. I wasn’t sure if the free time was set for each boat, so I just rested for a while, but before I knew it, it was time to depart in about 10 minutes. It was disappointing not to have any time to play. If you want to play after snorkeling, it might be better to swim at the front of the group.

It seemed that we were the only group that didn’t see a turtle, and the captain, knowing this, kindly circled around a bit before returning to shore. Unfortunately, we didn’t get to see the turtle, but I appreciated the thoughtfulness. On the way back, I handed the tip I had prepared to the captain.

During this time of year, the sun is strong, but the water temperature is quite low, so I recommend wearing a rash guard or a hoodie while swimming.

参加人数が多く2層の船で沖に出ました。船ごとのグループで、1グループがシュノーケリングの間、もう1グループが軽食をとりました。
軽食はホットドッグやフルーツなど十分な量があり、美味しかったです。

シュノーケリングは、泳ぎに不安な家族がいたので一番最後に並びました。
皆より遅れていたので、遠くで「亀がいるよー」と聞こえましたがどうにも出来ず…。
船に戻った頃には、周りで浮き輪やボードで遊んでいる人と、船で休んでいる人がいました。
船ごとに自由時間が決まっているのかな？と、よくわからなかったのでひとまず休んでいたら、10分程で出発する時間になってしまいました。
遊ぶ時間が無かったのが残念です。シュノーケリング後に遊びたい方は先頭の方で泳いだ方がいいかもしれませんね。

グループで我々だけが亀を見れなかったらしく、それを知った船長さんが陸に戻るまでに少し付近を回ってくださいました。
残念ながら亀の姿は見れませんでしたが、気遣いが嬉しかったです。
帰りには用意していたチップを船長さんにお渡ししました。

この時期、日差しは強いですが水温が結構低いので、ラッシュガードやパーカを着て泳ぐことをお勧めします。

I wore my phone in a waterproof case around my neck while entering the water, so I was able to take photos and videos. The videos are fun to watch later, and if they turn out well, you can take screenshots, so I recommend it. The guide took photos with a special camera, and after the tour, you can purchase the data, so if you want beautiful pictures, I think it's a good idea to have the guide take plenty for you.

After watching the dolphins, we had lunch on the boat and went back into the sea. That day, I was able to see a sea turtle swimming for a brief moment. I also saw beautiful fish and got to ride on a canoe and a surfboard. I thought it was a great deal since you can do so many things in one tour.

I was anxious because my English is not very good, but there was a Japanese guide, and all the other crew members were cheerful and fun, so it was fine.

Also, since I hadn't properly swum in over 10 years and was snorkeling for the first time, snorkeling for over an hour was quite challenging for me. イルカ達を見たあとは船上で昼食を食べ、再び海へ。
この日は一瞬ですが、泳いでいるウミガメを見ることができました。
他にも綺麗なお魚を見たり、カヌーやサーフボードに乗ったり。
いろんなことが1度のツアーでできるのでお得だなと思いました。

英語が全然ダメなので不安でしたが、日本人のガイドの方がいるし、他のクルーも皆さん陽気で楽しい方ばかりなので大丈夫でした。

ただ、2月の海は寒く天気も良くなかったので船に乗る前にウェットスーツをレンタルしました。
あと、10年以上まともに泳いでいない、シュノーケリング初めての自分にとっては1時間以上続けてのシュノーケリングは結構大変でした。
イルカの群れのいる場所に向かって自分で泳がないといけず、出遅れるとイルカを見ることができないのでガイドさんについていくのに必死でかなり体力使いました。
普段全く運動しないのでいい運動になりました！

大変でしたが、とても楽しいツアーでハワイのいい思い出になるのでオススメです！

On the day of the trip, it was cloudy, so we didn't have the clear skies we hoped for at the sandbar, but considering the weather forecast predicted a "storm," we could say we were lucky.

We landed on the sandbar just after 11 AM (about an hour after low tide), and the water level was about knee-deep. After enjoying taking photos and playing water volleyball for about an hour, the water level rose to around mid-thigh when we returned to the boat. It's essential to check the tide levels in advance, as you can't land when it's close to high tide.

The BBQ hamburger for lunch was grilled on the boat, creating a great atmosphere and it tasted good.

During the post-lunch sea turtle watch, we spotted a few from the boat, but it was truly moving to see a large sea turtle swimming right below us during snorkeling. However, it was a bit cold.

The Japanese tour guide, Yukiko (I believe), was cheerful and very good at talking, and she was very kind, taking various photos of our family.

I highly recommend this tour.

食後のウミガメウォッチでは船上から数匹見つけましたが、その後のシュノーケルの際に大きなウミガメが真下を泳いでいて、とても感動的でした。でもちょっと寒かったです。
日本人添乗員のユキコさん（だったと思います）は明るくとても話し上手で、我々家族の写真も色々と撮ってくれるなど、とても親切でした。

On February 25th, I participated with my 6-year-old daughter. Unfortunately, the weather was bad, and it was cloudy, so we couldn't see the blue ocean. The sandbar was about knee-deep for adults. We boarded a boat from the port and arrived at the sandbar after about 30 minutes! From above, the white area is the sandbar, so we were told that it was shallow enough to stand comfortably, and I finally understood what it was like when I saw it. I wasn't very lucky, so I thought there was a 1 in 10 chance that I might not see any dolphins...!

However, about 20 minutes after boarding the boat, I saw a whale diving into the sea, its tail clearly visible! After that, I also spotted a mother and baby whale swimming in another area.

Seeing so many whales was quite lucky, and just as I was thinking that, I discovered dolphins! After getting my gear ready and jumping into the water, dozens of dolphins swam right in front of me! The water was murky that day, so I couldn't see them from below, but they passed by in groups multiple times, which made me very satisfied☆

Next time I come, I hope the water is clear enough to see the dolphins underwater!

あまり運が良い方ではないので、もしかしたらイルカに会えない1/10の確率を引いてしまうかも…！と思っていました。

ですが船に乗って20分すぎた頃、クジラが海に潜っていくのがしっぽまでバッチリ見えました！その後は別の場所でクジラの親子が泳いでいるのも見えました。

クジラをこんなに見られるのはかなりラッキーという事で、幸先良いな〜と思っていた所、イルカ発見！
装備を揃え海に飛び込むと、数十頭のイルカちゃんが目の前を泳いで行きました！
水が濁っている日だったので海中からは見えませんでしたが、その分何度も何度も近くを群れで通り過ぎてくれたので、大満足でした☆

次来る時は、水が澄んでいてイルカを水中から見られるといいなあ！

The wave conditions weren't very good, so I couldn't swim with the dolphins, but I was able to see many dolphins up close, and it was great to swim with wild sea turtles. I was relieved to see that there were Japanese cast members and all the tour participants were Japanese! I misunderstood the windbreaker listed in the items as a raincoat and didn't bring it, later regretting that it would have been good as a layer to keep warm. However, the weather was nice and warm, so I was able to withstand the wind on the boat! The dolphins came by 2 or 3 times, and I was able to swim with them♡ I wanted to go see them again after the break.

日本人キャストさんがいてツアー参加者も全て日本人で安心しました！持ち物に書いてあるウインドブレーカーは雨よけと勘違いして持っていかなかったら寒さ防止の羽織りでよかったのを後から知って持っていかなかったことに後悔しましたが天気もよく暖かかったので船風には耐えられました！イルカは2.3度来てくれて一緒に泳げました♡休憩したあともう一度会いに行きたかったです。

It was my first dolphin and snorkeling tour. Honestly, I was worried about whether I would really see them, even though I had seen pictures before departure. During the bus ride to the boat, the fun staff provided a great briefing, and once on board, the captain and crew made sure there were plenty of enjoyable events unique to Hawaii!

同乗の外国人も船酔いしてたので(ダイビングなどでも外国人の船酔いって見たことない)よっぽどなのかなと…
ヒドイ人は一度も海に入ることなく最初から最後まで横になってました。。。

This was my second time participating. Last time I was pregnant, but this time I brought the child who was in my belly back then. I was a bit anxious about bringing my one-and-a-half-year-old, but they kindly lent us baby wetsuits and blankets on the boat for warmth, and everyone was very friendly, allowing us to enjoy as a family.

I walked to the sandbar holding my child. It was a manageable distance to carry them. Bringing a swim ring was a good idea; when I got tired of holding them, I let them float in it (laughs). We were able to see sea turtles up close, and my child was delighted. I was so happy when our family of three arrived at the sandbar.

Once we got out of the water, it was cold, so having a bath towel and a diaper change was essential. However, the bus back after getting off the boat was warm, making it comfortable enough for a deep sleep... it was so much fun!

I saw a lot of sea turtles. The staff was amazing!! It was the best memory. I've been to Hawaii more than ten times, and I can't believe I didn't participate in this tour until now. I highly recommend it! Honestly, I wasn't expecting much from the BBQ lunch, but I was surprised! It was delicious. Since it was a trip with three generations, it became a really wonderful memory.

There were Japanese staff members, so I was able to enjoy the experience without any inconvenience. I was worried about seasickness, but I was fine; however, a few people seemed to be feeling unwell. The staff were very attentive and offered advice like, "It's good to drink around this time on the bus," so for those who are concerned, I think it's better to take something. However, since the boat will sway, I believe seasickness is a personal responsibility. Also, since it was February, it was a bit chilly, and I rented a wetsuit separately, which was a good decision. By the afternoon, it warmed up with the sunlight, so it wasn't an issue. I was surprised to see the dolphins at a closer distance than I expected. I was really happy because I didn't think I would get to see them so up close. Moreover, I got to jump in several times, not just once. At the end, we were able to go snorkeling near the port. It seemed to be quite warm that day, and even though we went a little over time, we were able to see a lot. Above all, all the staff were kind, and their dedication was evident. Last day of my stay in Hawaii. Since it was my last chance, I decided to try something I had never done before! I was a bit hesitant about participating alone, but all the staff were very kind and took great care of us! I was able to encounter a lot of dolphins fairly quickly, and I enjoyed watching the turtles swimming happily. The water was so clear and beautiful! I felt that each participant was being arranged to create wonderful memories. Thank you, everyone at Dolphin University!

I highly recommend the sandbar adventure if you're in Oahu. We were picked up close to our hotel. The bus trip was very comfortable and the tour guide was informative and entertaining. The sandbar was amazing! We were able to walk around and they also set up a net for those who are interested in playing volleyball. We had hamburgers for lunch with chips and bbq beans. The snorkeling was also enjoyable. We were able to see and swim with the sea turtles and tropical fish along the protected coral reef. The staff was so laid back and organized. I highly suggest bringing swim shoes, towel and extra change of clothing. There is a bathroom in the pier. We love it so much we are planning to do it again.

I participated in a prestigious university dolphin tour in late February! The weather was great, and the sea was a beautiful deep blue! I joined the tour on the second boat! The weather was nice, but it was definitely the right choice to go with the second boat since it was warmer! Most people rented wetsuits because the wind was strong, and I think having one is reassuring! I'm really glad I participated in the tour! We were able to see whales right from the start! Then, we immediately swam with a large group of dolphins! They were so cute and it was truly moving! After that, we encountered many turtles and there seemed to be seals as well! We had fun kayaking and stand-up paddleboarding, and time flew by! I was worried about getting seasick, but the boat was stable! There were also small children participating, and they seemed to be having a great time! Above all, our guide, Juri, had such a bright personality and her talk was really enjoyable! The photographer was also a very interesting person! They took a lot of beautiful photos for us! I would love to participate again if I have the chance!
