The guide mentioned that it was quite a lucky day, as we quickly discovered a pod of dolphins after we started searching. We encountered dolphins jumping out of the water and several times came across a group of dolphins, seeing about 60 of them (according to the guide)! My family was also deeply moved, making it the best experience. After that, we enjoyed snorkeling surrounded by large sea turtles and fish, feeling like we were in an aquarium. We ended with a hula dance and a group photo.

The guide was a woman named Julie, and she was fantastic. She was very funny, upbeat, and kept us laughing from the explanations in the car to the guidance on the boat. Her strong love for the ocean and dolphins was evident, making her an excellent guide. I think it would be lucky to have Julie as your guide.

One thing to take note of is that, as Julie mentioned herself, this dolphin experience is quite athletic and rigorous. It felt like, "Wait, are we jumping in already?" and the kids were a bit scared, but once we jumped in, everything turned out fine. In the end, we were all super moved, so the rigorous approach ended up being a good thing.

Overall, encountering the dolphins and having the best guide made for an incredibly fortunate tour. I highly recommend it.

一点Take Noteしたいのは、ジュリさんも自分で言っていましたが、このイルカ中学、結構体育会系でスパルタです。「え？これでもう飛び込んじゃうの？」という感じで、子供たちもビビッていましたが、いざ飛び込んだら何とかなるもの。結局超感動していたので、このスパルタも結果的には良かったです。
というわけで、イルカとの遭遇も、最高のガイドさんも、恵まれた最高のツアーでした。強くお勧めです。

After reading the experiences, I was excited to participate because I heard we could see turtles and a lot of fish. Last time I joined an outrigger tour, there were many turtles, and I was really impressed, so I expected something similar this time. However, the waves were a bit high at the location, and there were many children and non-swimmers in the same group, so we probably couldn't go out too far this time. There weren't many fish, and of course, there were no turtles or seals... it left us wondering what we came here for. (laughs) Maybe it would have been better to snorkel on our own in Waikiki... I think you can only truly be satisfied with this on a nice sunny day, but unfortunately, it was rainy and cloudy on the day of my visit, and the sea was murky. I was very anxious about participating with my 4-year-old child who can't swim, but the staff said, "I'll take good care of you, so you just enjoy yourself," which I was really grateful for. They held my daughter securely both in the water and on the boat, and she seemed to feel safe.

The other people were also friendly and would check in on us, creating an easy-going atmosphere where it was comfortable to ask questions.

And we encountered dolphins! At a distance of about two meters! We came across a group of about eight, and two of them swam alongside me. It may have been a very brief time, but it felt like we were together for a long time in the blue sea, and I will never forget that memory. We also met a sea turtle. It was swimming leisurely and had an impressive presence.

I recommend renting a wetsuit. The first boat departs at 7:30 AM, and the wind after getting out of the water can be quite cold. My husband, who has a bit more body fat, didn’t seem cold at all, but my child and I felt chilly even in wetsuits. Also, I recommend bringing motion sickness medication. The prestigious Dolphin University uses a double-hulled boat, so it doesn't rock much, but it's a good precaution just in case you start to feel unwell.

ウミガメ先生にも出会えましたよ。ゆったりと泳いでらして、すごい貫禄でした。

ウェットスーツのレンタルはおススメです。第1便だと7時半出港ですから、水から上がったあとの風はかなり冷たいです。肉付きのよい夫は全然寒くなかったようですが、私と子どもはウェットスーツを着ていても寒かったです。
それから、酔い止めのお薬の持参をおススメします。名門イルカ大学は双頭船なのでさほど揺れませんが、気分が悪くなってはもったいないので念のためのお守りです。

My son also had a great time playing with the staff. The hamburgers were excellent.

We didn't even know how to put on the wetsuits, and once we got into the water, we struggled to put on our fins due to the waves and ended up stumbling a lot. The weather was great, and the waves were calm, so as soon as we set sail, we encountered a large pod of dolphins! It was amazing to see dolphins coming from both directions! After that, we went snorkeling at a sea turtle spot, where we saw about four or five sea turtles, and our guide took some wonderful photos for us! The hamburger we had at the end was really delicious. The guides were all cheerful, and it was a very enjoyable and fulfilling tour!

We consulted with our guide, Mieko, about wanting to visit Kailua Town, and she gave us advice that allowed us to add bike rentals and extend our trip to Lanikai Beach and Kailua Town. Lanikai Beach has beautiful sand and clear water, and it was also less crowded, allowing us to relax. I'm glad we chose this course instead of the half-day option. There wasn't a single unnecessary item for enjoying the beach; everything was well thought out. The pizza for lunch was exquisite! The crust was perfectly baked, and we were amazed by its size, but we finished it all.

カイルアタウンも行きたいとガイドのみえこさんに相談し、アドバイスいただき、レンタサイクルを追加してでラニカイビーチ、カイルアタウンまで足を延ばすことができました。

At 7 AM, we were picked up from the hotel and headed to Hanauma Bay, which has been selected as the No. 1 best beach. This shallow sea, formed from a collapsed volcanic crater, is teeming with fish. You can swim surprisingly close to them.

The reason for the early morning start is that the parking lot fills up quickly. Due to conservation efforts, the parking capacity is small, and once it reaches full capacity, the gates are closed. During this time before the summer vacation in Japan, there are fewer Japanese tourists, and many locals are present. Also, there are plenty of cats on the beach.

早朝7時のホテルピックアップでNo.1ベストビーチにも選ばれたハナウマ湾に。元々火口だったところが落ち込んでできた遠浅の海に魚がいっぱい。

朝がやたらと早い理由は駐車場がいっぱいになってしまうからだそう。
自然保護のためか駐車場のキャパシティーが小さいので、いっぱいになった時点でゲートを閉じてしまうそうです。
日本の学校の夏休み前のこの時期は日本人が少なく、地元の人がいっぱい。そしてビーチには猫もいっぱい。

そしてなんと！！大きな先客、アザラシ君が。
以前は年数回しか見られなかった彼らですが、今ならほぼ毎日と言っていいくらい訪れているみたいです。

ブルーハワイダイバーズのチエコさんが丁寧にシュノーケルの説明をしてくれ、軽く水面に顔をつけると足の着く深さにももうすぐ目の前に魚が。
魚群の中泳ぎ続けるとようやくウミガメが。
ハナウマ湾の教育ビデオにもあったので遠巻きにして、一緒に泳ぐことができました。

I think it would have been better to visit a few more spots to increase the time spent swimming with the dolphins.

I swam with about 10 participants and 2 instructors. The sea was beautiful and clear, and just swimming felt really good. On that day, I was surprised to see a seal napping on the beach. I couldn't find a sea turtle right away, but I was glad to see one in the end. The sea turtles are cute, and even with people around, they swim gracefully, making it fun to swim alongside them. I probably wouldn't have been able to find them on my own. It's important to remember to wear your swimsuit under your clothes, as there may not be time to change.

10人くらいの参加者と2人のインストラクターで泳ぎました。海は綺麗で澄んでいて、ただ泳いでいるだけでとても気持ち良かったです。
この日は、なんとアザラシがビーチでお昼寝をしていて、びっくりしました。
海亀はすぐには見つかりませんでしたが、最後に見つかって良かったです。
海亀はかわいくて、人が周りにいても優雅に泳いでいるので、楽しく一緒に泳げました。

It might require quite a bit of stamina. I think it would be tough if you're not used to exercising. However, I forget my fatigue and desperately chase after the dolphins. The tiredness hits me later (laughs). I was a bit distant from the dolphins, but it was an emotional experience.

We signed up as a family of six, and my elderly mother joined us for the tour while five of us, including my two elementary school-aged sons, participated! With the support of our guide Chieko, even as a beginner, I was able to see not only sea turtles but also many beautiful fish! We swam for about an hour, and my younger son, who is in lower elementary school, had to take a break and head back to the beach, but I was really glad we got to see the sea turtles before that.

Just as the rumors said, Julie was amazing! She was very cute and full of energy, and thanks to her, the tour was a lot of fun!
I was feeling uneasy due to lack of sleep, jet lag, and being prone to seasickness, but I thought I could manage with some motion sickness medication.
The boat didn't sway too much, but after we got into the water for a while, I started to feel seasick.
However, I forgot about feeling sick because I was so focused on taking pictures of the dolphins, and I even saw baby dolphins!
When we returned to the boat to move to the sea turtle point, I remembered that I had been feeling sick.
The sea turtles swam really close to us, and there were so many of them; it was truly moving.
On the way back, I completely crashed and slept the whole time, but I think it was a great tour!
The crew members were all really nice. It was the best.

Since it was cold, I definitely recommend borrowing a wetsuit (everyone in our group borrowed one).
I also think it's a good idea to bring a bath towel (it gets cold after you take off the wetsuit).
You'll be swaying on the sea for about three hours, so motion sickness medication is a must. I want to participate in this tour again after somehow overcoming seasickness.
I was also happy to receive the group photo via email right after the tour! 😊

本当にクルーの方がみんないい人。
最高でした。

寒いのでウエットスーツは絶対に借りたほうがいいです。（私たちのクラスは全員借りてました）
あとバスタオルも持参したほうがいいと思います。（ウエットスーツ脱いだあと寒いので）
約3時間海の上で揺られることになるので、酔い止めは必須。どうにか船酔いを克服してまた参加したいツアーです。笑
あとツアー後にすぐ集合写真をメールで頂けたのも嬉しかったです(^^)

I joined alone and was worried because I’m not very good at swimming and don’t have much stamina, but Chieko and Dan helped me throughout, and I was able to enjoy it until the end. This was the highlight of our trip to Hawaii! My wife, who can't swim, managed to snorkel all the way to the end. We got close to a sea turtle and thoroughly enjoyed the Hawaiian waters! I highly recommend it!

I had an amazing time! The staff were fun and shared a lot of interesting stories, so I was never bored. I laughed a lot! A turtle also came by, and I was able to swim with it. It was incredible! Thank you for taking so many photos as well. The barbecue on the boat was delicious, and I even had seconds. I thought I might get seasick, but since the boat was only moving for about five minutes and then we were just floating around in the sea, I didn't feel sick at all. I couldn't do snorkeling, but I borrowed various things like a bodyboard and stand-up paddleboard and had a great time playing.

すごーく楽しかったです！スタッフの方が楽しい方で、たくさん面白い事を喋ってくれてまったく退屈しませんでした。大笑いでした！亀さんも来てくれて一緒に泳ぐ事ができました。すごい！写真もたくさん撮っていただきありがとうございました(^^)船上のバーベキューも美味しかったです。おかわりもしました。酔うかなと思ったけど、船は5分くらいであとは海でぷかぷか遊んでたのでまったく酔いませんでした。シュノーケルが無理なので、ボディボードやスタンダップパドル等色々貸していただいていっぱい遊びました。
