I was lucky enough to see dolphins up close multiple times while snorkeling, and it was so much fun. The staff were kind and great people.

It was a very enjoyable experience. It was my first time experiencing a sandbar. I checked the tide schedule and made a reservation for the tour to match the timing when the water level would be knee-deep. When we set off, the sky was very cloudy, and it started to rain as we began to move, but by the time we arrived at the sandbar, although some clouds remained, we could see blue skies. The water level was about knee-deep, which was just right for walking in the water. There were some algae floating around, but it was fun to walk through them. I was worried since I went with a small child and a senior, but I received incredibly supportive assistance. The child was initially scared during the first entry into the water and couldn’t see the dolphins, but we were able to spot dolphins early on, allowing for multiple entries into the water. We got to see a rare type of dolphin called the false killer whale, which came very close, exciting the guide as well, and the kids were thrilled! We also saw many sea turtles at another spot, took photos underwater, and enjoyed sitting on the edge of the speedboat like on a banana boat. By the end, they were having so much fun that they didn’t want to leave. The sea was beautiful as well. I don’t speak any English, but thanks to our Japanese guide, Ryuichi, I was able to participate in the tour with peace of mind. The guides, Brooke, Jason, and Brian, all contributed to making wonderful memories. I was also worried about getting cold, but I was able to borrow a wetsuit, so I enjoyed myself without shivering from the cold. Prescription goggles were also available for rent. I’m really glad I chose Dolphin Academy among the various tours available.

ガイドのブルックさん、ジェイソンさん、ブライアンさんみんなで盛り上げてくれて最高の思い出を作ることができました。
体の冷えも心配していましたが、ウェットスーツを借りることができたので、寒さに震えることなく楽しめました。度付きのゴーグルも貸してもらえます。色々あるツアーの中でイルカ中学さんを選んで本当に良かったです。

船の上から見たのも含めて5、6匹は見れました！
海もめちゃくちゃ綺麗で円安で高かったけど参加して本当に良かったです。

船が小型なので結構揺れます。乗り物酔いが心配な場合は酔い止めの服用は必須かと思います。ハワイの海は朝が1番穏やかとのことで、集合は朝早いですが1番最初のツアーがおすすめです。
イルカ大学の船にはトイレが付いていたり設備が充実していましたが、イルカを見る、イルカと泳ぐことが優先順位1位であればイルカ中学の方が船が小回りきくこともありおすすめだそうです。
シュノーケルの時間もたっぷりあり、大満足なツアーでした。

I took photos with my iPhone, and it was amazing to see the sea turtles (honu) resting right in front of me and swimming close enough to touch, along with many colorful fish! At first, I was considering a tour that lends fins, but it wasn't necessary since we moved slowly along the not-so-long reef while enjoying the view.

In addition to sun protection, it seems there were jellyfish that the honu feed on in some areas, so having a rash guard would provide extra peace of mind.

往復の車内でもフレンドリーに話してくださり、ハワイの人の温かさや親切さを感じました！
一生の思い出に残る、本当に良い経験が出来ました。

個人でハナウマ湾に入る時に申し込まなければいけない、ハナウマ湾入場の予約争奪戦を気にせずに確実に入場出来るという点も、安心でした。

【改善して頂きたい点】

バスの集合時刻は5:40集合となっていましたが、実際にバスが到着したのは6:00ちょうどでした。
同じバスのお客さんに高齢の方もいらっしゃったので、到着時間が遅れた事自体は仕方ないと思っています。

ただし、バスの到着が遅れた際に連絡する緊急連絡先のような電話番号が２個案内されていましたが、どちらも繋がりませんでした。
どちらも自動音声で、「事務所のオープンは8時だから、それ以降に電話して下さい」と言う英語の音声が流れるだけでした。
20分待って、本当にもう帰ろうかと思うくらい不安でした。緊急連絡先はしっかり繋がるようにして頂きたいです。

ドライバーさんは良い人でしたので、ドライバーさんの人の良さとハナウマベイの素晴らしさで、総合評価としてはとても満足ですが、電話が繋がらなかったことで星を-1させて頂きました。

I personally used this during my long stay in Honolulu for school. With a departure around 6 AM, I was back at the hotel by just after 10 AM, which allowed me to make good use of my morning. There were only a few people, which added to the private feel, and that was great!

In the morning, we snorkeled in shallow areas due to low tide, but the water was very clear, and I was able to see various fish! According to the guide, it seems that in the afternoon, when the tide is high, we can go further out, but the visibility might decrease a bit. The morning is early, but it seems to be less crowded compared to the afternoon. Both morning and afternoon have their pros and cons.

The guide was also kind and provided helpful advice on how to use the wetsuits and life jackets, as well as how to put on the masks. There are showers and restrooms available on-site.

Arrived at the port by bus from the hotel! I packed my change of clothes in a large plastic box and off we went to the sea. The captain explained everything in English, while the Japanese guide provided detailed explanations! We played in the shallow sea for about an hour and saw fish and turtles while snorkeling. I got a bit separated while chasing the turtles and fish, but they quickly brought me back. I couldn't take any photos, but I was glad to see so many fish and turtles.
