The Driver was at our hotel on time, he was courteous and professional. Friendly as well. He gave good directions and made sure our snorkel gear was in good working order. He was early for our pick up and got us safely back to our hotel. The bay is amazing and it was by far the best place I have snorkeled and that is why I returned with my family.

The crew members are kind and attentive. It was reassuring that they could speak Japanese. You can see schools of fish while snorkeling. Sea turtles come close enough to touch. They are protected animals, so you shouldn't touch them, but it's definitely an unforgettable experience. In any case, I recommend it because you can see the beautiful ocean!

クルーの方々が親切丁寧です。日本語が通じるので、安心感がありました。シュノーケリングも魚が群れになってるところが見れます。ウミガメめ触れられる距離に来てくれます。保護動物なので、触れてはいけませんが感動間違い無しです。とにかく、美しい海を見ることができるので、お勧めします！

I woke up at 5 AM and moved to the meeting place in the dim light.

I was worried because I had heard that a tropical storm was coming from the south, but with dawn came clear skies. The sea was calm as well.

The bus provided a thorough explanation beforehand. After boarding, they quickly distributed the equipment.

About 15 minutes after boarding, we encountered a pod of dolphins. We were able to see the dolphins up close as they swam back and forth without needing to change boats.

We moved to another spot for snorkeling. We saw two green sea turtles and an eel, among other things.

The guide mentioned that this was one of the top ten best days of the year.

As expected with wildlife, timing and luck play a role. It seemed challenging to find the dolphins that day, but I felt that the staff here would give their all regardless.

I was able to enjoy the entire experience since I took motion sickness medication.

However, the air conditioning in the car broke on the way back, so I’ll give it a ☆-1.

This can't be helped, but...

朝、5時起きで、薄暗い中、集合場所へ移動。

南側にトロピカルストームが来てると、聞いていたので、心配していましたが、夜明けと共に快晴。海も、穏やかでした。

バスで事前に丁寧に説明して下さっていました。乗船後も、テキパキ道具を配って下さいました。

乗船後、15分程で、イルカの群れと遭遇。
船に乗り直すことなく、何度も行き来するイルカを間近でみれました。

移動して、もう一度、シュノーケリング。
アオウミガメ2頭と、ウツボなどもみれました。

今年、10本の指に入るいい日だとガイドさんがおっしゃってました。

やはり、野生動物なのでタイミングと運は、ありますね。
イルカを探す日は、大変そうでしたが、そんな日でも、ここのスタッフさんだと、全力でやってくれると思えました。

酔い止めを、飲んでいたので、終始楽しめました。

帰りの車のエアコンが壊れてしまったので☆-1

The president personally guided us, but when there are dolphins, we have to jump into the sea quickly, and I was rushed with comments like "You're too slow to jump!" and "Hurry up and get ready!" Even if they rush us, we're beginners and can't respond quickly. I wish they could take it a bit easier. It made me quite anxious.

I did see dolphins, but the water was murky, so it felt like I could only see their shadows.

I wanted to swim freely, so snorkeling after swimming with the dolphins was the best! The water was clear and felt amazing, and I could also swim with sea turtles! I was very satisfied with the stand-up paddleboarding too!

The shuttle bus driver was also very good at Japanese and introduced us to many gourmet spots. The staff were all unique and kind. The ocean was, of course, beautiful, and the food was delicious. I also participated in a stroll around Kailua Town. I rented a bicycle and went to the beach. The bicycles were suitable for elementary school students and the distance was manageable, allowing us to reach Kailua Beach as well.

I was initially anxious about the conditions of the sea (during the bus ride from Waikiki), but the crew who greeted us in Japanese quickly eased my worries. We encountered a pod of dolphins twice, and I was moved by their twist jumps right in front of us! It was a wonderful experience. The crew was really cheerful, and we laughed a lot, creating lovely memories. There were a few people who felt seasick, but I took motion sickness medication beforehand, so I had no issues. I also didn't experience any motion sickness after returning. The rental of dive suits was helpful as it kept me warm. Additionally, make sure to put your belongings in a waterproof bag, or they will get soaked.

潜る海の状況がわからず(ワイキキからバスでの移動に)不安がありましたが、バスで迎えてくれたクルーの日本語がうまく不安はすぐになくなりました。
2回もイルカの群れに出会い、目の前でツイストジャンプには感動！！素晴らしい体験でした。
また、クルー達はほんと愉快だし笑いっぱなしで素敵な思い出になりました。
船酔いで体調を崩している人も何人かいましたが、事前に酔い止めを飲んで参加したので問題なし。戻ってからの丘酔いもありませんでした。

It was really great. The beach was nearby, and it was convenient to have lockers and changing rooms available. The lunch pizza was the best pizza I've ever had. I want to go just to eat the pizza! It was about a 15-minute walk to the town of Kailua. I was worried about the roads this time, so I walked, but there was plenty of space for biking, so I plan to rent a bike next time.

The beautiful sea and perfect weather allowed me to see many sea turtles up close. It's clear that they take great care of the turtles. I highly recommend it.

However, there was one issue: while returning to the boat from the sandbar, a sea turtle appeared near me. Someone threw the shrimp tails we had for lunch between the turtle and me. Was that a tourist's doing? Was it a staff instruction? I'm still unsure if feeding them was acceptable, and I missed the chance to ask, which leaves me feeling a bit unsettled.

綺麗な海、天気も最高で間近に多くのウミガメを見ることができました。また、ウミガメをとても大切にしていることがよくわかります。

I participated in this highly-rated snorkeling tour at Hanauma Bay, among several options available. I had some previous snorkeling experience, but I wanted to join a properly guided tour. Early in the morning, our guide Dan picked us up from the hotel and we headed to Hanauma Bay.

Initially, I wasn't planning to rent a wetsuit, but after receiving explanations about injury prevention and increased buoyancy, I decided to rent one. It was my first time wearing a wetsuit, and I highly recommend it! Hanauma Bay has deep areas, but we also swam in shallow rocky spots. If I hadn't worn the wetsuit, my legs might have been covered in cuts… (*^^*)

Guides Dan and Chieko took us to a spot with plenty of fish. I don't think we would have encountered so many fish on our own. Before I knew it, we had been swimming for nearly an hour, which was surprising! I think I'm going to become hooked on snorkeling.

ウェットスーツは当初レンタルする予定ではありませんでしたが、ケガ防止や浮きやすくなるなどの説明を受けてレンタルすることにしました。初めてウェットスーツを着用しましたが、これはおススメです！ハナウマ湾は深いところもありますが、岩場の浅瀬で岩ギリギリのところも泳ぎます。もし、ウェットスーツを着用してなかったら、足が傷だらけになっていたかも…(*^^*)
ガイドのダンさんとチエコさんがお魚がたくさんいるところまで連れて行ってくれます。自分たちだけのシュノーケルだとこんなにたくさんのお魚には出会えていなかったと思います。気が付いたら、１時間近く泳いでいて、びっくり！！シュノーケリングのとりこになりそうです。

Fantastic and energetic staff. Customer service was wonderful. Saw many Dolphin immediately. The guides in the water during the snorkeling time. Water was a little choppy and several customers were sick. Can’t do one thing about that, however, there needs to be another water cooler on the main level and one on the top level. Hydration is a must in these situations and water needs to be readily available for these people. Also, bigger cups. Lastly, during the swim on your own time, we saw a bunch of fish, but the wind was blowing the boat away from the swimmers and it was difficult to catch up. I would suggest a long rope line in the water with a orange float on the end that people can swim to when the boat is blowing away from the swimmers. Quick lunch a was good and well planned. Overall, we had a wonderful experience. Would highly recommend this tour!!!

Absolutely the best experience!!! Meeting dolphins in the ocean has been my dream for a long time, and it finally came true!! The coordinator and staff during the experience were very kind, and thanks to the local staff who supported me even though I can't swim, I was able to enjoy the experience without any fear. I got to see dolphins, sea turtles, and many fish up close☆ Not only did I have fun, but I also learned about the current pollution situation in the ocean and how it affects marine life. It was my first time snorkeling, and I was able to enjoy it with peace of mind thanks to the Japanese guide!
You can leave your belongings locked up on the beach, so it's safe. (That said, it's better to avoid bringing large sums of money or anything that would be a problem if stolen...)
You can also take photos with a GoPro.
We had a lot of blurry pictures, so that was a bit disappointing...

I was taken care of three years ago as well. I was moved to see that some of the staff members I had met before remembered me. My daughter, who participated previously, was 7 years old and scared to swim in the deep sea, so my wife stayed close to her, and I couldn't see much, which made me want to try again. This time, my daughter is now 10 years old and happily went into the sea, where she was able to see dolphins and honu (sea turtles) clearly.

On the boat, all the staff members were very kind and cheerful, making the time pass quickly. However, one thing I found disappointing was that they introduced a new two-story boat that can accommodate about 70 people. Because of this, there was less opportunity for conversation with the staff, and when swimming to see the dolphins and honu, there were too many people, leading to frequent collisions among guests, which was unfortunate.

スタッフは以前お世話になった方もおられ、しかも私の事を覚えてくれていたことには感動しました。以前参加した娘は７歳で深い海で泳ぐのが怖いと海に入れず、妻が付きっ切りとなりあまり見れなくてリベンジしました。今回は娘も１０歳となり平気で海にはいりイルカとホヌをしっかり見れたと喜んでおりました。
船上でもスタッフの皆さんがとても親切で明るく盛り上げて頂き、あっと言う間に時間が過ぎてしまいました。ただ一つ残念に思ったのは新型の船を導入し２階建ての船となっており７０名ほど乗れるそうですが、その分スタッフとの会話も減りイルカやホヌを見に泳ぐときも人が多すぎて密集し、お客さん同士がぶつかることが多々あり残念と感じました。

There were few dolphins. Even when I could see them, they were quite deep down (or far away), and I was busy chasing after the dolphins that kept getting further away. I had imagined a scene where I could swim relaxed in parallel among a large group of dolphins. I was disappointed because there were no corals and the visibility wasn't that great. However, the staff's response was wonderful.

After being picked up at the hotel early in the morning, we received a tour briefing from the tour photographer and driver until we headed to the bus. There were quite a few participants that day, so the group was split into two buses. On the boat, there were some very energetic guides, just as mentioned in the reviews, who kept us entertained throughout the trip. Unfortunately, we only saw dolphins once. There were so many people that it was a struggle to swim with the guides. I felt that I would like to participate when there are fewer people. However, it wasn't that we didn't see anything at all; I was really happy when I saw a dolphin swim right underneath me. The snorkeling didn't feature the colorful fish that you often see in pictures, and I didn't encounter any sea turtles, but it was my first time swimming surrounded by so many fish, and I really enjoyed it. I felt a bit seasick towards the end and wasn't feeling well, but I was able to enjoy the slide and cheeseburgers. It seemed that there were so many people that activities like stand-up paddleboarding weren't mentioned at all, and only the slide was available. If you want to do those activities, it might be a good idea to communicate that clearly to the guides. It felt like the time went by very quickly, but personally, I was at my physical limit, so I was satisfied with that. However, I thought it would be nice if there were tours that allowed for a more leisurely pace with breaks to enjoy the ocean.

早朝ホテルでピックアップされた後、バスで向かうまで、ツアーのフォトグラファーと運転手さんからツアーの説明を受けました。この日は参加者がかなり多く、バスが2台に別れているとのことでした。船には口コミにあったようにかなりハイテンションなガイドさんたちがいて、終始楽しませてくれました。イルカは残念ながら一度しか見られなかったです。人が多すぎてガイドさんと一緒に泳ぐのも必死でした。もう少し人数が少ない時に参加したいと感じました。それでも全く見れないということもなく、イルカが自分の真下を通っていくのを見れた時は本当に嬉しかったです。シュノーケリングはよく写真で見るようなカラフルな魚という感じではなかったし、ウミガメにも出会えなかったけれど、たくさんのお魚に囲まれて泳ぐのが初めてでとても楽しめました。少し船酔い気味で最後は気分が悪かったですが、スライダーやチーズバーガーも楽しむことができました。サップなどのアクティビティは人が多かったからなのか、全く案内されず、スライダーしか用意されていませんでした。やりたい場合はきちんとガイドさんにお伝えしておくと良いのかもしれません。かなりあっという間に感じましたが、個人的には体力的にあのくらいで限界だったので納得することができましたが、もっとゆっくり時間をかけて休憩も挟みながら海を楽しむことができるツアーがあってもよいのかなぁと思いました。

The boat was rocking a lot. Even I, who have never experienced seasickness before, felt nauseous, and my family vomited. The people sitting around us were also vomiting.

As soon as we got on the boat, the staff explained that if someone felt like they were going to vomit, they could use a bucket, which was available at their feet. It seems that vomiting is an expectation for the staff as well. People were continuously vomiting, and the staff efficiently handled the mess.

Additionally, there is a restroom on the boat, but it was clogged with other people's waste. Even though I needed to use the restroom, I felt sick looking at the toilet filled with others' waste and held it in.

Finally, we had cheeseburgers on the boat, but the patties were very tough and unappetizing; it was something you couldn't eat unless you were extremely hungry. After returning to the hotel in the afternoon, I continued to feel nauseous, and I spent the next day feeling unwell as well.

また、船にはトイレがありますけど、トイレは流れずに他人の大便が溜まっている状態でした。私は大便をしたくても他人の大便が多数溜まっている便器を見て気持ち悪くて我慢しました。
最後に、船の上でチーズバーガーを食べるのですけど、このハンバーグがとても固くてまずくて、よほど飢えていないと食べられるような物ではありませんでした。
お昼過ぎにホテルに戻ってからもずっと気持ち悪い状態が続き、翌日も体調が悪いまま過ごしました。

I participated with my 9-year-old child. Since I'm not good at snorkeling, I tried to lead my child to the guide, but it was really difficult and I got exhausted. In the end, during the first round, we only saw one dolphin far below, and during the second round, we didn't see anything at all. As for the sea turtles, I couldn't catch up with everyone, so we ended up not seeing a single one. This tour is not suitable for those who are not good at swimming. I would like to try again once my child becomes a better swimmer.

9歳の子連れで参加しました。シュノーケルが下手なため、子供の手を引いてガイドさんのところまで進もうとするのですが、全然無理でクタクタになりました。結局1回目は遥か下の方のイルカを一頭見ただけ、2回目は全く何も見れず。海亀についても、みんなに追いつけなかったので一匹も見れない結果に終わりました。泳ぎがが下手な方には不向きなツアーです。また子供が上手に泳げるようになったらリベンジしたいと思います。

This was a great experience. I do not like the water and get motion sick very easily. However, I could not visit Hawaii without giving snorkeling a try. Dan showed the kids (10 & 12) what to do and gave us time to practice. Seeing how uncomfortable I was, Dan stayed with me and literally held my hand the whole time. I still felt sick by the end from the motion, but the rest of the family did awesome and really enjoyed the experience. Double Dramamine for me next time.

I had a great time snorkeling for the first time at Hanauma Bay! ♬ 人生初のシュノーケリングをハナウマ湾ですることができて、楽しかったです♬

From August 3rd (Saturday) to August 15th (Thursday), we came to Hawaii for the first time in three years for a family trip, planning to stay for a week on Oahu and five days on the Big Island. I had always wanted to try snorkeling at Hanauma Bay, and with my daughter now in the second grade, we decided to go ahead after referencing many experiences on Veltra.

I was concerned about the impact of the typhoon until the day before, but on the day of the tour, August 5th (Monday), it was clear and we were able to go snorkeling.

Dan came to pick us up at the Hilton Hawaiian Village where he was staying, and he shared stories about snorkeling and other topics during the ride, which made for a fun travel reference. We arrived at the Hanauma Bay parking lot around 7:40, and there were already many cars parked. After meeting up with another tour participant's car, we had a total of nine people for snorkeling. The group consisted of our three family members, two students and their parents, and a couple, making a total of nine.

Once we arrived at Hanauma Bay, Dan's wife, Chieko, carefully explained the features of Hanauma Bay, snorkeling, and the preparations, which made us feel secure about trying it. My daughter, being the youngest at second grade, made me a bit worried at first, but Chieko supported her throughout, and she became the best at snorkeling in our family, beaming with joy saying, "I had fun!"

At 8 AM, the seawater temperature was still a bit cold, and although we hadn't signed up for wetsuits, after hearing Chieko's advice, we decided to wear them. It was great that they had prepared enough for everyone and ensured safety while snorkeling.

The conditions at Hanauma Bay had some waves, so we experienced being pushed back while swimming and also moving forward with the current. At first, I was focused on getting used to the breathing technique for snorkeling and using fins for the first time, but soon I started to see fish and wanted to see them better.

My daughter held hands with Chieko and swam while relaxed, which reassured me. I enjoyed snorkeling while holding hands with my wife. At one point, Chieko spotted a turtle, and we were lucky to see it up close, about three meters away!

Even with just about an hour of snorkeling, it felt long underwater, which was a new sensation for me. Everyone who participated in the tour seemed to have a great time, and it became a wonderful memory from this trip.

８月３日（土）～８月１５日（木）まで、家族旅行で、オアフ島に1週間とハワイ島に５日間の宿泊予定でハワイに３年ぶりにやってきました。ハナウマ湾で、シュノーケリングをいつかはしてみたいと思っていたので、娘が小学２年生になったのを機に、ベルトラさんで多くの体験談を参考にさせていただき決めていきました。
前日まで台風の影響はどうだろうかと気にかけていましたが、ツアー当日の８月５日（月）は快晴で、シュノーケリングを行うことができました。

ダンさんが滞在している、ヒルトンハワイアンビレッジまで迎えに来てくれて、車内でもシュノーケリングのことやそれ以外のお話もしてくれて、楽しく旅行の参考にもなりました。
ハナウマ湾の駐車場は７：４０くらいに到着して、すでにたくさんの車が停まっていました。もう一台のツアー参加者さんの車と合流して、私たちは９名でシュノーケリングを行っていきました。ツアー参加者の構成は我が家の３人と、学生のお子様２人とご両親の４人家族の方、カップルの方達が１組で合計９人でした。

ハナウマ湾に到着してからは、ダンさんの奥様のチエコさんが、ハナウマ湾の特徴や、シュノーケリングのこと、準備を詳しく丁寧に伝えてくれたので、安心してトライしていくこともできました。小学２年生の娘が最年少で、最初はできるかなと半分心配していましたが、チエコ先生が終始サポートをしてくださり、我が家の中では一番上手にシュノーケリングができるようになり、「楽しかったよ。」と満面の笑みでした。

朝８時はまだ海水の温度が冷えている方らしく、我が家はスウェットスーツまでは申し込んでいませんでしたが、チエコ先生の話を聞いて、着用することにして参加することにしました。人数分準備してあることや、安全にシュノーケリングができることを配慮されていることも良かったです。

ハナウマ湾の状態は波が少しある方でしたので、泳いでも少し戻されていったり、反対に流れとともに進んだりするような感じで潜っていきました。最初はシュノーケリングの呼吸のしかたになれること、フィンを初めて使ったので、動かすことに夢中でしたが、そのうちお魚たちが見えてくるようになり、もっとよく見たいと思えるようになってきました♬

娘はチエコ先生と手をつなぎ、力を抜いて泳ぎながら海中を見れていたので、安心しました。私は妻と一緒に手をつないでシュノーケリングを楽しみました。途中チエコ先生がカメがいることを発見して、3メートルくらいの距離でまじかに見ることができたこともラッキーでした♪

1時間くらいのシュノーケリングの時間でも、海の中では長く感じたことも初めての感覚でした。一緒にツアーに参加されていた皆さんも楽しかったようで、今回の旅の中で、良い想い出になってくれましたよ。

Dear Yuki, thank you for bringing your family to the Blue Hawaii Divers tour. Although there were some waves due to the hurricane's impact, your 7-year-old daughter did very well! I believe the waves helped bring the sea turtles closer for us to see. It was great to see them up close.
