Great time snorkeling with Alexio, Jonah, Noah and Brandon. Don’t let their youthful look fool you. These guys are courteous, knowledgeable and very friendly. My youngest had so much fun she didn’t even realize it was time to go back to the ship! Would do this again in a heartbeat! ♥️

We heard about this activity through an acquaintance, so I looked into it. I have been on Oahu 8+ times and have never done this activity. Highly recommend this activity as it was easy check in at the dock. The ride to sandbar itself was a quick ride on the boat. Staff were very friendly and you are able to bring your own alcoholic drinks onto the sandbar. Enjoyed our time snorkeling and hanging out in the sandbar itself. Very unique experience!

The crew was great. The website said to bring snacks and drinks which we did but they had some on the boat for all which was a plus. The water was high tide and not so clear. We were hoping. the coral and water would be much clearer. Not captains fault. The only thing thing that we did not like was the boat did not have flippers. Snorkeling gear should have flippers. You can get around better. We did see some turtles even though the water was murky.

Worth every penny, We will be doing this again when we return to the islands. The crew was friendly, interactive with everyone, and also very caring and attentive to the folks that didn’t have their sea legs. The day we went, we swam with 3 spinner dolphins, and some bottle nose, then on the way to the coral reef we saw a pod of over 500 dolphins. The snorkel, slide, paddle board spot was rad as well, legit like diving into a nature film. Getting to see a sea turtle in nature was just an amazing end to an already awesome day! To the crew and cpt. Mahalo for such a great adventure!

Seniors, couples, solo travelers, even kids --- would like this tours to experience the sandbar and snorkeling (turtles and school of fish... love it!!!) The company even brought floaties and paddle boards for you to use for free!!! My mom got scared of the snorkeling part so she didn't do it but she still enjoyed the boat ride and the sandbar! It was a nice experience for the rest of my family and I... we saw many tortoises and swam with them. I recommend trying Captain Bruce Tour!

The Crew of the Honu Lani was great. Jimmy, the Captain gave clear and informative safety briefing and also snorkeling recommendations. He was very professional and his crew was EVERYWHERE! They were at the stern when we got in and out of the water, at the bar serving beverages, putting out lunch, in the water when we were snorkeling. Crew was Andrea, Alek, Marco and another girl interviewing for a deckhand job. They were all great! Andrea was so nice and helped the passengers nonstop the entire cruise. Alek is the man, (I think Bernie Sanders is his Dad). A friend of mine jumped off the side of the boat and her iWatch came off. This Cat (Alek) jumped in like David Hasselhoff and came up with it on the first dive down. I think he was more surprised than we were, it is a big Ocean. Marco was nice also, sorry guy, did not talk to you much.
Overall, great cruise. 95% great because of the crew!

I went alone, but the staff was friendly and I had a great time. I was moved when a sea turtle swam close to me about three times (even though we’re not supposed to touch them). I took the bus from Honolulu, and I recommend leaving with at least a two-hour buffer. Be sure to bring a change of clothes as well.

Boat was very nice, friendly staff, but we stopped at 1 site for a while and didn’t see any turtles, then when we got to the more popular spot there were already 4 more boats and we only got to see 1 turtle. The staff didn’t come in the water with us either to help spotting turtles. Other boats had at least 1 crew in the water to guide their group towards the right spot.

Meeting wild dolphins is truly moving! I was able to encounter spinner dolphins. I recommend wearing a swimsuit from the hotel and putting a T-shirt over it.

There are two types of courses: an early morning departure and a midday departure. With the early morning departure, the water level is about knee-deep, while with the midday departure, it rises to just above the knees. The crew were amazing! They not only showed us where to find all the turtles while we snorkeled (saw about 5/6 different turtles surfacing a million times right next to us), they followed a pod of dolphins for a while so we could get a good view and watch them in their element. We drove around the water for a bit before going back as well so you can snack and drink after snorkeling. The weather was amazing and we were the only boat out there (did the 8AM tour) for majority of the time so had all the ocean to ourselves! Some people didn’t/couldn’t snorkel but they hanged out on the Net of the Catamaran with their drinks and still had a great time napping and drinking lol.

The crew was fun and easy going. One of the crew men urged us to do the snorkeling and it was one of the best decisions we made. While on the sand bar 3' of water) we saw a small fish that hung around our family the entire time. It was the coolest thing to experience. Then my 7 year old and I went to the reef to snorkel and saw several large sea turtle just a few feet away. It was awesome.
