I participated in a tour with two friends. Due to the rainy season in October, the sandbar was deeper than I expected (about chest height), but we were able to fully enjoy the beautiful scenery of the white sandy area while playing with floaties. It was my first experience with snorkeling, and I wasn't very good at swimming, which made me anxious. This was my third time participating. I usually can't see the sandbar. If it's waist-deep, that's better. During the accompanying snorkeling, I was able to see fish, corals, and turtles. The stand-up paddleboarding felt free with two people sharing one board, and I enjoyed it. This time, the weather was nice and not cold, but last time the bus was cold and it was quite uncomfortable. 乗って来たバスもボートも８割以上が日本人でしたが、日本語対応のスタッフが居ませんでした。
終始英語のみの進行で、７年前と客層もスタッフも変わっていたんだと思います。

７年前は帰りのバスに乗る前に、トイレで乾いた服に着替える時間があったので、そのつもりで着替えて来たら、皆濡れた水着のままバスに乗って待っており、申し訳ない事をしてしまいました。

あと一つだけ残念だったのは、以前はスタッフも含めた参加者全員のサンドバーでの集合写真を撮って、netで購入出来たのですが、その様なサービスが無くなっっていた事です。

Hanauma Bay is a beautiful place and the water is so pretty. The day we went, it was unfortunately very windy and the water was pretty choppy. We were able to see some fish, but the water wasn’t very clear due to the waves, but that’s nature for you! The snorkeling gear was very difficult for me. Water kept getting into my mask and it was very uncomfortable. I wish I had my own full face mask. But it was still an enjoyable time and would do it again. Our driver to the location was very friendly and did a great job. It was through kaimana tours.

I participated with my husband, daughter, and middle school grandson. The sandbar wasn't at low tide, but it felt safe in the shallow water. I wanted to try stand-up paddleboarding (SUP) too, so we all enjoyed it as a family. Later, my husband and I watched our daughter and grandson enjoy snorkeling from the boat, and it was so much fun! They were thrilled to see many turtles.

The pickup car arrived about 15 minutes after the meeting time. (I was a bit worried, but) I think it's best to relax and wait, thinking it's HAWAII TIME. Despite the early morning, the driver was in high spirits, which lifted my mood!

If you're worried about seasickness, it's better to take some medication beforehand. Our family all took it, so we didn't experience any seasickness at all, but about 4 to 5 people were unable to move due to it.

When we spotted dolphins, we jumped in one by one. Those who jumped in earlier had a higher chance of seeing them, but those who didn't see them were prioritized to jump in next, so everyone was able to see the dolphins.

We were very satisfied to see both dolphins and sea turtles!

All the staff were very kind, and I definitely want to participate again when I go to Hawaii.

It gets cold when you come back onto the boat from the sea, so a jacket and a bath towel are essential.

During snorkeling, we were able to see many turtles up close. The staff kindly taught my wife, who is not a strong swimmer, and they also kept a watchful eye on her, which made us feel safe. Above all, both the captain and the staff spoke Japanese well, and there were also Japanese staff members, which added to our sense of security. This is a recommended activity if you visit Hawaii. However, due to the tides, it's not guaranteed that sandbars will appear as shown in the promotional photos, so you might need to be a little cautious about that.

I went at the timing of the lowest tide during my stay, and it was about waist-deep. The staff mentioned it was shallow, so it might not be possible to see the sandy beach. However, even from a distance, the color of the sea here is completely different, which makes the journey exciting. I was wondering where we would do stand-up paddleboarding, so it was quite understandable.

The edge of this reef is a coral reef (with steep cliffs), and there are many sea turtles there. Everyone swims along with the staff, so it's safe to observe (though it gets a bit congested... (laughs)). Sometimes they come close to the surface for air! (The staff said I was lucky.) Of course, we shouldn't touch them.

Unfortunately, my camera malfunctioned halfway through, and I couldn't take any pictures of the sea turtles, which was disappointing, but I was able to remember it well, so that was enough for me.

The cheerful and energetic staff, delicious spam onigiri, and fun activities... I had a wonderful experience.

今回途中でカメラの調子がおかしくなってウミガメを全く撮る事ができず残念でしたが、記憶にはしっかり残せたので十分です。
明るくて元気なスタッフさん達、美味しいスパムおにぎり、楽しいアクティビティ…素晴らしい経験をさせてもらえました。

I chose the day with the lowest tide during my trip to Hawaii and made a reservation, but at the lowest point, the water was up to my knees.

Since it was an early morning course, it was cold! The water felt quite cold until I got used to it.

We headed to the sandbar on two boats, and our boat spent about an hour taking photos and enjoying stand-up paddleboarding freely. The last hour was for snorkeling. We were able to see several sea turtles! They swam very close to us! It was a bit disappointing that the water where we were snorkeling was a little murky, but I was very satisfied because I got to see so many sea turtles. For those who can't swim, the guide provides solid support, so there are no issues.

On the boat, there were self-service rice balls, snacks, and drinks. I was very grateful for the hot drinks.

Most of the participants were Japanese. It became a wonderful memory!

ホットドリンクがあったのがとてもありがたかったです。

参加者はほとんど日本人でした。
とっても良い思い出になりました！

The tour was mostly made up of Japanese people. Snorkeling is a family favorite and we booked a tour with Island Splash Tours as part of a birthday celebration. It was such an absolute pleasure going out with Captain Preston and Alex. We are in Hawaii fairly often and are looking forward to future tours with them. We really appreciated their knowledgeable approach to staying safe and making it fun for all of us. It was much more of a private experience compared to the tours we have taken on the larger boats and it made it all the more special. Everything from helping us select the best time of day to making sure everyone had a wonderful experience was done with such thoughtfulness and professionalism. A “little bird” even told Captain Preston about a family song that he made a point to play as we can back into the harbor. We all felt spoiled and loved every moment of our tour. As a Navy family we also really appreciate the military discount he offers. Completely recommend Island Splash Tours to anyone thinking about a boat or snorkeling tour!!

Great 2.5 hours on and in the water. The catamaran was the best way to sail / boat to the location. On the way we saw dolphins and then several turtles at the site. Plenty of time to snorkle and experience sea turtles and view the fish. Would highly recommend the Mana Kai Catamaran as it has less people, more exciting with waves and sailing and the crew was fantastic!

Participation in mid-September.
We boarded a boat to search for dolphins, and when we found them, we dove into the sea.
Falling into the water, we swam tirelessly in the direction we were told.
Since we entered without any mental preparation, a few people panicked because they weren't used to it.
We saw a mother and baby dolphin swimming either deeper down or near the surface, but they weren't very close.
It felt like seeing dolphins underwater.
And it was cold. I was advised against renting a wetsuit because it can cause seasickness and costs $10, but I should have borrowed one.
I was shivering on the boat the whole time because it was too cold.
My husband seemed to feel nauseous as well, but when we moved to the snorkeling spot, he was told that it would be better to dive in, so he was made to jump in.
However, it was said that the sea was less rocky than on the boat, but it was still cold, which ultimately made him feel worse.
We could also see dolphins from the boat, so we still had quite a bit of fun.
We could take photos as well, but it was mostly the same person taking them. Everyone was getting pictures with bubble rings, but we didn’t have that.
The turkey wrap for lunch wasn’t tasty either...
If I go again, I think I’ll choose a different tour company that isn’t Dolphin University.

海に落ちて、言われた方にひたすら泳ぎます。
心の準備もなく入るので慣れてないとパニックになる人が数人いました。
イルカは下の方または水面近くあたりを泳ぐ親子を見たりしましたが、さほど近くはないです。
海の中でイルカを見る感じ。
そして寒い。ウエットスーツは酔いやすいし10ドルかかるからと薦められませんでしたが、借りるべきでした。
寒すぎて船の上でずっと震えてました。
夫は酔いもあったようですが、シュノーケリングスポットに移動したとき、海に入ったほうがマシになると言われてダイブさせられてました。
しかし船の上より海のが揺れなくてまだマシだからとのことでしたが寒いので結局余計に体調不良に。
船からイルカを見ることもできたのでそれでも結構楽しめはしました。
あとは写真も撮ってもらえますが、同じ人ばかりでしたね。みんなバブルリングで撮ってもらってましたが私達は無かったです。
お昼のターキーラップも美味しくないし...
次また行くならイルカ大学ではないツアー会社にしようと思ってます。
