When it's a bit chilly, it can be quite tough... Even in a tropical climate, if it's cloudy or drizzling, the water feels cold. I had to drink coffee while shivering after getting out of the sea. However, the guides were truly wonderful with their thoughtfulness and care; we received free spam onigiri, apples, drinks, and juice—all complimentary. During snorkeling, there were plenty of sea turtles right in front of us, making for a special experience. I definitely recommend going! The weather is just a matter of luck, so there's nothing you can do about it.

We took a bus to the port and boarded the boat, but it seemed like we were the only Japanese people there, and the explanations were mostly in English. On the way back, since we wanted to go somewhere other than the hotel, we were kindly accommodated with our request to disband at a different location, which we appreciated.

Our experience with Captain Robin, Kay, and Sydney was absolutely amazing! Captain Bruce Kaneohe Sandbar Cruise is a must! My husband and I loved everything about the experience…friendly, knowledgeable, hands on staff who truly gave each of the participants support and care. This was my first time to snorkel and Captain Robin stayed by my side until I was ready to snorkel without any assistance. There was time to paddle-board and float. I had a truly valuable experience! The instructor was very kind and guided us with safety in mind. Although the water was cold since we started at 5 AM, I had reserved a wetsuit in advance, so I was fine during the long snorkeling session. On the day of participation, there was little wind, and I was able to see four sea turtles up close! Additionally, I was able to see many marine creatures that can only be found in Hanauma Bay, which was truly moving.

If I were to mention one point of caution, those with weak vestibular systems may be more prone to seasickness. I recommend taking a strong anti-nausea medication beforehand! I personally have a weak constitution and took Dramamine before participating, but I still experienced significant seasickness.

Overall, it was an unforgettable experience that I will cherish for a lifetime. Thank you very much to the instructors!

During our time, we couldn't even see any dolphins. Honestly, I felt like I wanted at least a little bit of my money back.

I visited Kailua Beach for the first time. I was truly impressed by its beauty, which is indeed ranked number one in the United States. I recommend renting a bike (beach cruiser) as an option to extend your trip to Lanikai Beach, which is right next to Kailua Beach. Lanikai Beach had mostly white visitors, giving me a sense of being abroad. Since I had some extra time, I rode my bike to downtown and enjoyed exploring like a local. The locals weren't wearing masks either. If you rent a bike, please be mindful of traffic rules and etiquette.

The captain and crew were engaging, fun and so very very kind. As a heavy traveler I don’t often put myself out there unless I KNOW I can do all of the activity. I was worried about being able to get out of the water after snorkeling. They never once made me feel like I was a pain, uncomfortable, or “less than” that is not a typical experience, so not only did they get my business for the snorkeling trip, I also went on their sunset cruise for the next two days. The water temperature was a bit low and it was cold, but I was glad to encounter a sea turtle. It was my first time snorkeling, and my 10-year-old son was also happy.
There are several staff members who speak Japanese, and they provide explanations in Japanese as well. About 80% of the tourists are Japanese.
There are no changing rooms, so we went in our swimsuits and wiped off our wet bodies before getting on the bus for the return trip. Some people were changing in the restroom, but there are only three stalls, so it gets crowded. It might be tough for those who are not good with the cold.

Since it was early in the morning, the weather was clear, and the water was beautiful, I was able to see various types of fish. Four years ago, I encountered sea turtles and seals in the same spot, but unfortunately, I didn't see them this time.

However, the couple who guided us were great; the husband spoke Japanese well and pointed out interesting fish, saying things like, "Look, there's ●●!" which made it really enjoyable. At one point, when some participants got tired, the wife went back to the shore with them, and when I got too caught up in taking photos and was left behind, they noticed and helped me catch up. Their consideration for everyone to have a good time was very much appreciated.

During the car ride to and from the location, they shared a lot of information, which was really fun.

I tried to take photos with my Google Pixel 7 Pro in a waterproof case, but about 80% of them turned out blurry, so I regretted not bringing my GoPro. However, the guide uploaded some photos to Facebook, which I was able to download for free! I felt grateful to have beautiful photos capturing the scenes I experienced.

朝イチだったこともあり、晴れていて海の中もきれいで色んな種類の魚に会えました。4年前には同じ場所でウミガメやアザラシにも会えたのですが、今回は会えずでしたが・・。
でも、ご夫婦でガイドをされていて、旦那さんも日本語が上手で、面白い魚がいると「●●がいるよー」と声をかけてくれてとっても楽しめました。途中で疲れた方は奥様と一緒に先に岸に戻って・・といったことや、撮影に夢中になってみんなに置いてかれている私を見つけて引っ張って行ってくれたりと、参加者みんなが楽しめるような気遣いもとっても感じました。
行き帰りの車の中でもいろんな情報を教えてくれて、とっても楽しかったです。

Google Pixel 7Proを防水スマホケースに入れて撮影を試みましたが、8割がたピンボケしていたのでやっぱりGoPro持っていけばよかったと思いました。ただ、ガイドさんが撮影した写真をいくつかFacebookに上げてくれているので、それをDLさせていただきました（無料です）！自分がみた光景をきれいな写真に残せている気分でありがたかったです。

I participated in many tours in Hawaii, but the one I enjoyed the most was this tour. The crystal-clear surface of the ocean was breathtaking.

It was also a good decision to go during low tide as much as possible.

Really well organised activity with Kaimana Tours. Our driver Koa was excellent, providing lots of insights to the surroundings during our drive there. Pickup was on time, in a comfortable spacious van. We arrived and were first in line to get tickets which was simple and organised. The snorkeling gear was great, both sizing and quality for what we needed. I’d recommend going on the 6am pickup, as by the time we left at 11, it was getting really busy and there were not many places with shade. Kaimana offer umbrellas & chairs for hire too.
