With transportation included, we were able to complete our activities in the morning, allowing us to schedule other plans for the afternoon, which is a big plus. Since snorkeling in an unfamiliar sea can be concerning due to currents, having an experienced guide made it easy to focus solely on watching the fish. The guide is also fluent in Japanese, so everyone can feel at ease. They took photos during our snorkeling session, which they later uploaded to Facebook for us.

Family of four, including one, four-year-old and one two year-old. First time for the kids on a boat and we had a blast. The staff is extremely friendly, courteous, and personable. They made sure my kids were safe and comfortable. The time frames were very appropriate, the staff kept everyone engaged and entertained. Some staff shout outs for Brandon, Jeremy Natalie, Faith, the guy holding the mike (sorry I forgot his name!!) . And yes we saw TONS of dolphins.

I had been to Kailua before, but my wife wanted to visit a specific store, and we could also go to Whole Foods, plus we could snorkel at Lanikai, so I decided to join. We opted for bike rentals. Riding through the streets of Kailua on a bicycle felt very local and was great. I was able to take my time and enjoy the scenery that I would have missed if I were in a car. It was my first time snorkeling at Lanikai, and to my surprise, a sea turtle appeared right in front of me! I've seen sea turtles many times, but seeing one so close and in the water was an incredible experience. The only downside was the lack of shade; if you go, I recommend bringing a tent or an umbrella. Also, the snorkeling goggles weren't treated with anti-fog, so they fogged up quickly, and seawater kept getting in, so I would like to suggest improvements on that.

As we sailed, we suddenly came across a sandy shallow area offshore. SUP was fun there, but moving to a slightly deeper spot for snorkeling was the best! I was moved to see tropical fish and sea turtles swimming right next to me.

Actually, I had a bit of a trauma from almost drowning while snorkeling in the past, but the captain practiced with me by holding my hand beforehand, and the staff members watched over me closely, which made me feel safe while swimming.

They also provided warm drinks on the boat, which was very nice for my slightly chilled body.

The staff were kind, funny, and absolutely wonderful. They played with my child using water guns. The transportation staff were also friendly and gentlemanly. During snorkeling, when I felt a bit scared, they led me and said, "Let's go together." I've participated in several overseas tours, but I've never felt as safe and enjoyed myself as much as I did here. I highly recommend this tour.

I went shopping in Kailua Town, then returned to the shop to change and went to Kailua Beach for bodyboarding.
I rode my bike to Lanikai Beach to take photos.

When we arrived and moored the boat, the water was about calf-deep, and even after the first snorkeling session, which lasted 20 minutes, we returned to find a sandbar with broken coral exposed about 50 meters away. It was practically land (see photo). The quality of the sandbar experience depends on the tour company, but ultimately, the tide conditions are everything. I believe those planning to go should choose tours that operate during low tide, referring to the tide chart as much as possible. However, when walking to the sandbar, beach shoes are essential. The soles of your feet can hurt, and if you're unlucky, you might get injured. Captain Bruce already has established know-how, and there was a Japanese guide on board, making it a comfortable experience for Japanese participants. I participated in the morning session of a family trip (with elementary and middle school students). It was almost high tide, but at about 1 meter, it was safe for elementary school students to play.

What stood out the most was the cheerful and fun attitude of both the shuttle driver and the guide on the boat. They were quite fluent in Japanese (or rather, most of them were Japanese), so I highly recommend this tour compared to others.

【Shuttle】The outbound trip took about 45 minutes, and the return trip took about 60 minutes. We were picked up around 9:00 at the bus stop near Trump, making it easy to participate. There was a service for those who wanted to stop at a famous malasada shop (Leonard's) on the way back.

【送迎】往路は45分ほど、帰路は60分ほどでの到着でした。トランプ近くのバス停に9:00頃ピックアップだったので無理なく参加できました。また行と帰りは同じ運転手で帰宅時には感想などの声掛けもしてくれます。（道中、英語と片言の日本語で陽気にガイドもしてくれます）。
希望者はマラサダの有名店（レナーズ）に帰路で下車するサービスもありました。

【船移動】10分程度で着く上に波も穏やかなので船酔いの心配は殆どありません。往路ではウミガメを何匹か見つけました（サンドバーで何度も見れますが）

【シュノーケル】全員がライフジャケット、シュノーケル（消毒済み）着用しますが、小児はzayak（除き窓付のビート版？）の貸し出しもありました。大人で泳げない人はガイドの1名が近くでサポートもしてくれます。魚も多いですがやはりウミガメは皆さんテンションがあがっていました。

【アクティビティ】シュノーケル後はサンドバーでSUPやZAYAK、浮き輪、写真撮影などを楽しめます。SUPも1組1台程度はあるので皆さん楽しめてました（家族で交代しながら）

【船上】トイレ付で船自体も結構キレイです。揺れが少ない点も好印象。

【飲食】スパムにぎり、りんご、スナック菓子、ナッツバー、ジュース類が食べ放題です（スパム握りだけ1人1つ）。よって手ぶらで問題なし。

【注意点】くらげ（カツオノエボシ）が流れてくるので、刺されている人が数人いました。（ただし皆さん軽傷）長袖のラッシュガードなどは必須と思います。

It was amazing to swim with so many fish. I rented a wetsuit, which I hadn't planned to do initially, but it turned out to be the right decision because the water temperature was lower than I expected, and it protected me from the coral and underwater rocks. I wasn't confident in my swimming skills, but the suit provided buoyancy, allowing me to snorkel with ease. Guides Dan and Chieko took us to points where we could see a lot of fish. They also took many photos before, during, and after snorkeling, which I really appreciated. The bus picked us up right in front of the hotel, which was very helpful. The inside of the bus was cold, just like "theBUS," so I recommend bringing a jacket!

Since it was an early morning plan, I had a light breakfast at the hotel, but on the boat, they provided drinks, spam onigiri, snacks, and fruits. The hot coffee was really delicious! The couple sitting next to us brought sandwiches, and I thought it would have been nice to enjoy that on the boat instead of at the hotel.

The staff who spoke Japanese kindly explained about the life jackets, how to play, and movies filmed in the area.

I checked the tide online and made a reservation, but the tide level during my session was just about waist-high! It was my first time trying SUP, and since the water was only waist-deep, it was easy to retry after falling, and I had a lot of fun.

While I was playing with my smartphone in a waterproof case, a friendly staff member offered to take my picture and captured me standing on the board! (There was even a moment when I lost my balance and fell, which was funny.)

During snorkeling, I had a great encounter with sea turtles and fish.

SUPは初挑戦でしたが、落ちても潮が腰の高さなので
リトライしやすく、とても楽しかったです。

防水ケースにスマホを入れて遊んでいたら、
気さくなスタッフの方が「写真撮りますよ」と声をかけてくださって、
ボードの上に立っている姿を撮影してくれました！(バランス崩して落ちる瞬間も笑)

シュノーケリングでは、ウミガメ、魚にバッチリ逢えました。

海から上がったあとは寒くて、隣の青年がめちゃくちゃ震えていました。
Tシャツだけでなく、バス内同様 羽織りの持参がオススメです…！
また、バスタオルを貸し出してくれるホテルもあるので聞いてみると良いかと思います。

船を降りた後、すぐ近くのお手洗いで着替えができました。
とっても楽しい体験ができて満足です。

The highlight of this trip for me was definitely the sandbar. Unfortunately, the weather was rainy, but I was still able to enjoy myself thoroughly.
While snorkeling, you can take underwater photos with your iPhone using a waterproof case. I even managed to capture a photo of a sea turtle.
Depending on the weather, it can get quite cold, so I recommend bringing a bath towel. As for other essentials, just cash for tips, your iPhone, and a waterproof case should be enough. I also brought a change of clothes, but there isn't a designated place to change, so we ended up wrapping ourselves in bath towels on the way back.
They also provide some light snacks, spam musubi, and soft drinks, so I think a light breakfast will suffice.
There was also a Japanese guide who was very kind and helpful.
I definitely think you won't regret participating!!!
