Everything ran on time, the boat was clean and functioned properly. The crew was great; very fun and engaging. The crew provided a lot of local information/history. The water is just a little on the cold side, so a sun/swim shirt or a wet suit top may be a good idea. If you don’t want to use community snorkels, you may want to bring your own.

We participated as a family of six, including our young children. On the way to the sandbar, we spotted a few honu (sea turtles) here and there. We were able to see a heart-shaped reef, and it was a pleasant cruise while enjoying snacks and drinks on board.

After arriving at the sandbar, we split into two groups (maybe depending on the number of participants?), and we alternated between snorkeling tours and activities in two sessions. I thought snorkeling would be just one of the activities, but it felt more like a full tour, so it seemed challenging for those who aren't good swimmers. However, our children, who are not yet confident swimmers, borrowed bodyboards with windows to peek underwater and participated while being pushed by their parents, so they could enjoy it too. We saw many honu here as well.

The activities included canoeing, stand-up paddleboarding, and floating rings, among others, which was great to experience. Unfortunately, due to our travel schedule, we were there during a neap tide, but we chose a plan that coincided with low tide, so the water level was just knee to thigh deep, which was perfect for paddleboarding and canoeing!

At first, I thought the participation fee was a bit high, but it turned out to be a very satisfying day with the rare experience of seeing many honu.

サンドバー到着後は、2つのグループに別れ(参加人数にもよるのかな？)、前後半でシュノーケリングツアーとアクティビティを交代してやる感じでした。シュノーケリングはアクティビティの中の一つかと思いきや、ガッツリとツアーのような感じで泳ぐので、泳ぎが苦手な方は大変そうでした。でも、まだ泳ぎも得意とは言えない我が家の子供達は、最初からシュノーケルは使わず、水中を覗ける窓付きのボディボード(?)を借りて、それを親が押しながら参加出来たので、子供でも楽しめました。ここでもホヌが沢山見れました。
アクティビティはカヌーやサップ、浮き輪などなど、、色々体験出来て良かったです。
今回、旅程の関係で残念ながら小潮の時期でしたが、干潮の時間にツアーが重なる日とプランを選んだので、水位は膝〜もも位の深さで、サップやカヌーをやるにはちょうど良かったです！
最初は参加費が高いかなぁと思いましたが、たくさんのホヌに会える貴重な体験も出来て、大満足な1日になりました。

I was a bit nervous about snorkeling during the pre-briefing, but the time spent was not too long, and we all swam together, so even someone like me, who isn't very confident in swimming, had no problems. It was great that there were plenty of rice balls, snacks, and drinks prepared on the boat.

Captain Alan and Casey were exceptional guides and we had the best time. Captain Alan helped my non swimming husband snorkel and experience we never thought we could have together. Since it was early in the morning, the pickup time was 5:45 AM. We arrived at a nearby cape before dawn and waited for a while, reaching the entrance just after 7 AM. I didn't mind the rocking of the boat. I took motion sickness medication, which seemed to help, and I was able to enjoy myself without feeling sick. The light snack of spam onigiri was delicious. There were also cocoa, miso soup, and snacks available, which made for a fulfilling experience.

In January, the weather was cloudy, so the sea felt cold, but I gradually got used to it. I participated in a swimsuit, rash guard, rash trunks, and reef shoes, which kept me comfortable. Each group received one stand-up paddleboard (SUP), allowing us to enjoy it to the fullest. The water was quite shallow, so there was no worry about drowning. After thoroughly enjoying the SUP, I joined the snorkeling activity. Even for first-timers, the staff provides support, so you can enjoy it with peace of mind. I brought a GoPro, so I was able to capture videos underwater. I recommend bringing your smartphone in a waterproof case or a waterproof camera to take plenty of photos and videos. Many Japanese participants joined, and there were explanations in Japanese each time, with all the staff being very kind. 1月の参加で天気も曇りでしたので海は冷たく感じましたがだんだんと慣れてきました。服装は水着+ラッシュガード、ラッシュトレンカ、リーフシューズで参加し、快適に過ごせました。SUPは1グループに1つ配られるので思う存分楽しむことができました。結構浅瀬なので溺れる心配もありませんでした。SUPを十分に楽しんだ後はシュノーケルに参加しました。シュノーケルが初めての人でもスタッフがサポートしてくれるので安心して楽しめます。GoProを持って行ったので海中の動画を撮ることができました。防水ケースに入れてスマホを持っていくか、防水カメラを持っていくと写真や動画がたくさん取れて楽しめると思います。日本人が多く参加しており、日本語での説明も毎回あり、スタッフは全員とても親切でした。荷物はグループごとに椅子の下にしまいます。水に濡れる可能性があるので水に濡れても良いカバンで参加するのがオススメです。コインロッカーはないので、パスポートなどの貴重品は持参せず、チップ分の現金とクレジットカード1枚だけ持って行くと良いと思います。

帰りのバスでマラサダのキッチンカーに寄ってくれて、そこは現金が使えず、クレジットガードのみだったのでマラサダを食べたい人はクレジットカードを持って行くと良いと思います。

チップは船上のスタッフさんに渡したのと、帰りにバスの運転手さんにも渡しました。それぞれ用意しておくのがいいかと思います。

I was able to see the honu (sea turtle). It's recommended to go when you have enough stamina, as you'll be snorkeling for a long time. I felt cold and got a bit seasick along the way, but thanks to the instructors, I was able to participate in a fun atmosphere.

ホヌが見れました。長い時間シュノーケリングをする為、体力がある時がお勧めです。途中で寒く感じ波酔いをしましたが、先生方のお陰で楽しい雰囲気で参加出来ました。
